Intra-ethical Characteristics Occupational Factors Impact on Business Competitiveness (Focused on Types of Construction Work) (기업내 직종별 윤리적 특성요인이 기업경쟁력에 미치는 영향(건설 직종을 중심으로))

  • This study is an empirical analysis completed based on a survey of the members of major construction companies and is analyzed to verify the relationship between the ethical characteristics of major construction companies and firm's competitiveness and its effects. In this study, based on previous researches in domestic and foreign, the factors that are affected by the business ethics were analyzed, and the competitiveness of firms, which is a dependant variable, was divided into four different types: quality, price, sales, and promotion. The proposal and final conclusion regarding the relationship between job satisfaction and concentration was made after the investigation of research hypothesis. The conclusions described below:(By the Linear regression analysis) 1. The product competitiveness is affected by moral competence, will to act ethical management, transparency of fairness, customers, and social responsibility. 2. The price competitiveness is affected by will to act ethical management, transparency of fairness, customers, and social responsibility.

Business Model Innovation in the R&D Service Sector: A Case Study of Automobile R&D-service Firms (연구개발서비스업에서의 비즈니스모델 혁신: 자동차 연구개발전문기업의 사례 연구)

  • The rates of technological innovation and environmental change as well as market competition have recently accelerated, which makes it difficult for firms to satisfy the needs of their customers through existing product innovation or limited services. Some firms have attempted to find the solutions to this problem by conducting business model (BM) innovation. This study reviews the theoretical discussion to BM innovation and suggests propositions concerning the necessity of BM innovation and conditions of successful BM innovation. Furthermore, the study examines the applicability of the propositions and draws strategic implications by analysing the cases of two world-wide leading firms, AVL and ETAS, in the automobile R&D service sector. In particular, the study investigates how the firms with technological competence in the R&D service sector obtain market performance through BM innovation. Results of this study show that the case firms recognize the necessity of BM innovation based on product (or technology)-service fusion to effectively propose customer value and create corporate profit. Also, the firms exploit firm-specific complementary assets for successful BM innovation. This paper contributes to the literature of innovation management by promoting academic discussion concerning BM innovation in Korea and suggesting strategic implications for further development of R&D service sector and related firms in Korea.

The Effects of Individual Characteristics of IPP Work-Learning Trainees and Field Teachers of Participating Companies on Trainees' Employability - Focusing on Social Integration and Absorption Capabilities of Companies - (IPP일학습 훈련생과 참여기업 현장교사의 개인특성이 훈련생의 고용가능성에 미치는 영향 -기업의 사회적통합과 흡수역량 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest implications for maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of IPP work-learning by studying the effects of the personal characteristics of trainees and firm's field teacher on trainees' employability. The following conclusions were drawn by verifying the causal relationship between factors based on a questionnaire (157 copies) distributed to 200 trainees (learning workers) of 9 universities participating in IPP work-learning training. First, in order to increase the employability of IPP trainees, it is necessary to select trainees with strong core competencies and failure tolerance by verifying individual characteristics of trainees. Secondly, companies should appoint senior staff with strong leadership and teaching capacity as corporate field teachers, and corporate field teacher training institutions should reinforce the training to improve their leadership. Third, work-learning companies should be selected as those with high social integration and absorption capacity, and those companies should try to build an organizational culture of acquiring and learning new technologies. The results of this study are expected to contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of work-learning training by establishing a training system that can systematically select trainees and participating companies and enhance the training capacity of companies and field teachers.

  • At the completion of the construction, various finishing processes are concentrated. This imposes a burden on the on-site manager and imposes on experience based quality control, thereby causing deviations in the quality of construction depending on supervisor or worker's individual competence. In addition, the information related to quality control is frequently scattered in various types of documents such as specifications and drawings, and checkpoints are frequently omitted. It is necessary to provide a tool that can effectively provide the practitioner before or during the inspection work by systematically storing the information related to the defect prevention and linking them in a mutually referential state. This paper proposes an quality inspection support model that can systematically store necessary information on activity or room basis for the quality check of the apartment house finishing work. Establish a defect prevention information base and a information nexus by linking specifications, design standards, checklists, regulations, defect cases, and drawings to the finishing process and the rooms. Based on this, information registration and search interface are presented. It can contribute to securing a certain level of construction quality or more by suggesting a frame that can be utilized by linking various defects prevention information with the focus on closing activity and room.

A Study on the Influence of CSR and Corporate Ability on Purchase Intention -Focused on The mediating effects of product attitude and the moderating effects of corporate reputation - (기업의 사회적 책임(CSR)과 기업역량(CA)이 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 제품태도의 매개효과와 기업명성의 조절효과를 중심으로 -)

  • According to the results of the FKI's ethical management status and CSR promotion status, about 95% of domestic companies enact the Code of Ethics, while 64% of companies operating systems for communication and dialogue with stakeholders in the process of CSR activities, It seems that strategic CSR activities of domestic companies have not been fully established yet compared with the introduction of ethical management. Even if companies conduct CSR activities strategically, there is very little CSR level of the companies that consumers perceive. This is because the psychological mechanism of CSR on consumers' perceptions is too complicated and detailed, resulting in a positive result and a negative result depending on the investigator's research method. So far, there have been many studies on the direct impact of CSR on corporate evaluation, purchase intention, and corporate image. However, there are few studies on the effect of CSR and CA on purchase intention through product attitude. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of corporate social responsibility(CSR) and corporate Ability(CA) on the purchase intention through product attitudes perceived by consumers, and the moderating effect of corporate reputation between product attitude and purchase intention. As a research method, we selected 4 companies, such as Samsung etc, who have been conducting CSR for the past 10 years, as a sample. The relationship between the CSR and the corporate competence of these companies on purchasing intention was examined through questionnaires for general consumers. The results of this study show that CSR and CA have a positive effect on product attitude, and consumers' product attitude has a positive effect on purchase intention. In addition, CSR and CA were found to have a positive (+) effect on purchase intention through consumer attitude. Finally, it is found that the reputation of the firm has a moderating effect on the relationship between consumer's product attitude and purchase intention. This study suggests that CSR should be strategically promoted in order to positively shape the attitude of consumers toward products of companies and their companies. As a theoretical implication, this study showed that the effect of CSR activities and CA on consumer's product attitude and purchase intention, centered on mediating effects of product attitude and corporate reputation discrimination.
