자기 소지의 특성에 미치는 도석첨가의 영향 (A Study on the effect of the Pottery Stone added to the Porcelain Body)

  • This study is to investigate the effect of a domestic pottery stone as a batch inclusion on the synthesis of porcelain bodies and their physical properties. The basic composition of porcelain bodies studied was consisted of 50wt% kaolin, 25wt% feldspar and 25wt% quartz. The inclusion of pottery stone was performed by partial substitution for either quartz or feldspar up to 25% of the total weight of batches. Sixteen porcelain bodied different in batch composition were prepared by firing them in the temperature range from 110$0^{\circ}C$ to 135$0^{\circ}C$ and their physical properties and microstructures were carefully examined. It was found that the inclusion of pottery stone could reudce the firing temperature for vitrification up to 5$0^{\circ}C$ but appreciably decreased the mechanical strength of sintered bodies. The most faborable result could obtain with partial substitution for both quartz and feldspar at same time up to 25% of the total batch weight.

  • This paper describes a detailed performance analysis of TCSC using experiment with a scaled model. A 3-phase scaled model of TCSC was built with rating of 2kVA to verify the operation. The variable reactance of TCSC with respect to the firing angle of thyristor switch analyzed theoretically and experimentally. And the limit of TCSC operation was investigated in whole range of the thyristor firing-angle. The experimental results with scaled model were compared with the simulation results for a periodic state space model using MATLAB.

요업공업에 있어서 국산저질골석의 이용에 관한 연구 (투각섬석질 골석-슬라그-점토계) (A study on the Utilization of the Domestic Low-Grade Talc In Ceramic Industry (Tremolitic Talc-Slag-Clay System))

  • In our former paper, tremolitic talc, -wollastonite-clay system was studied. In this study blast furnace slag was used(B.F.S.) instead of wollastonite for developing a fast-firing wall tile body. The wall tile bodies consisting of tremolitic talc and B.F.S. asmajor constituents have been fired in the temperature range 1000-120$0^{\circ}C$. Some of these bodies have showed good properties for wall tile manufacture. According to the increased content of B.F.S the fired bodies have showed the decreased thermal expansion which was resulted from the fact that the amounts of diopside and anorthite were gradually increased and those of quartz relatively decreased. Being reasonable in low price and thermo-stable properties tremolitic talc and B.F.S. will be good materials for the fast-firing tile body.

Realization of a Metalized Gel Fuel Ramjet

  • The high specific impulse of the ramjet engine, combined with the ability of a gel to carry metal particles, make the Gel Fuel Ramjet a most adequate solution for a mid-high range sustainer. The goal of the present study is to verify experimentally the feasibility of such a concept. A test facility and a lab-scale motor have been designed and built to investigate atomization, ignition and firing processes of a gel hydrocarbon fuel, with and without metal additives, as well as to check the ramjet operation as a whole. The present paper presents the experimental system in detail as well as qualitative results of a few firing tests.

견인곡사포용 이동대차형 포탄 이송장치의 인간공학적 적합성 검증 (Ergonomic Verification of Suitability of the 4-Wheeled Hand Cart to Transfer a Projectile for Towed Howitzer)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the ergonomic verification of suitability of the 4-wheeled hand cart to prevent musculoskeletal problems in the firing test range. Because of the increasing amount of firing test, the needs to develop a projectile transferring device such as 4-wheeled hand cart has been increased. For the 4-wheeled hand cart, the lifting and carrying activity in the manual handling method were transformed to pushing activity. The risk of low back pain for lifting and carrying the projectile by manual was estimated by NLE and 3D SSPP. On the other hand, the risk for pushing the 4-wheeled hand cart was estimated by psychophysical and biomechanical method such as Mital's equation, Snook's table and 3D SSPP. It was shown that the 4-wheeled hand cart reduced the risk of low back pain drastically with higher efficiency and design compatibility.

다른 특성을 가지는 도재가 반복소성에 따라 색조변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Repeated Firing on the Color Difference of a Metal-Ceramic System with Different Porcelain Powder)

  • The goal of esthetic restoration is to achieve morphologic, optical, and biologic acceptance. Creation of a natural looking ceramic restoration, which blends harmoniously with surrounding dentition, is not always achieved. A successful color match is an important aspect of any esthetic dental restoration. Since natural enamel has inherent translucency, it is important that ceramic restorations reproduce the translucency and color of the natural teeth. However, the final color match of porcelain crowns to adjacent natural dentition remains some problem. Difficulties related to color matching arise from the structural differences that exist between metal ceramic crowns and natural teeth, the limited range of available ceramic shades, inadequate shade guides, different types of metal alloys, repeated firing, the condensation technique, and varying compositions of ceramic materials. Many factors contribute to the esthetic success of dental restoration: optical properties such as color and its elements of hue, value, and chroma; translucency and opacity; light transmission and scattering; and metamerism and fluorescence. The purpose of this study was to determine the color changes of metal-ceramic system with different veneering porcelain powder after repeated firing. The objectives of this in vitro study were to measure the lightness($L^*$), chromaticity($a^*$), chromaticity($b^*$), chroma($C^*$), hue(h), reflectance(%), color difference(${\Delta}E$). The following conclusions were obtained: 1. An increase in the number of firings resulted in decrease in lightness($L^*$) but increase in chromacticity($a^*$) with all porcelain. After the second sintering resulted in decrease in chromacticity($b^*$) with opaque-dentin porcelain and dentin porcelain but in increase with enamel porcelain and translucency porcelain. And after the second sintering resulted in decrease in chroma($C^*$) with opaque-dentin porcelain and dentin porcelain, but on the whole side in decrease with enamel porcelain and translucency porcelain. 2. After the second firing, a increase in the number of firings resulted in decrease reflectance(%) in all wavelength. 3. There were noticeable color differences(${\Delta}E$) between first sintering and multiple firings(dentin porcelain: 5.29~8.15, opaque-dentin porcelain: 4.83~8.2, enamel porcelain: 8.93~13.15, translucency porcelain: 9.37~12.91), but the color difference(${\Delta}E$) after second sintering were down to 4.87 in all porcelain. 4. Given the NBS Criteria, a 'trace' was not found this study but a 'slight' was found 2-3, 3-5 in dentin porcelain, 2-3 in opaque-dentin porcelain, 3-5, 5-10 in enamel porcelain and translucency porcelain, a 'noticeable' was 2-5, 3-10, 5-10 in dentin porcelain and opaque-dentin porcelain, 2-3, 2-5, 3-10 in enamel porcelain 2-3, 3-10 in translucency porcelain, an 'appreciable' was 1-2, 1-3, 2-10 in dentin porcelain 1-2, 1-3, 2-10, 3-10 in opaque-dentin porcelain, 2-10 in enamel porcelain, 2-5, 2-10 in translucency porcelain, a 'much' was 1-5, 1-10 in dentin porcelain and opaque-dentin porcelain, 1-2, 1-3, 1-5 in enamel porcelain 1-2, 1-3, 1-5, 1-10 in translucency porcelain, a 'very much' was 1-10 in enamel porcelain.

공산오차를 고려한 국내 포병사격장 안전기준 분석 연구 (A Study on Safety Standards for the Interior of an Artillery Firing Range Considering Probable Error)

  • Safety standards for long-range artillery ammunition test and training sites follow the US artillery shooting range safety zone standards. Although the South Korean geographical conditions of shooting ranges are different from those of the United States, there is no safety standard reflecting the South Korean topographical characteristics. Probable error associated with the shooting range, trajectory should be considered in establishing the safety standards. In this study, we present the safety standards for the ammunition testing site suitable for the Korean situation, with applying a concept of trajectory and probable error differed by ammunition type, which are currently confirmed by the South Korean Army's artillery shooting.

$Li_2O-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$계 소지내에 Zircon상 형성에 따른 내열 강화 특성 (A Study on the Thermal Resistance Strength with the Formation of the Zircon Phase in LAS System)

  • The LAS system with good thermal properties has a narrow range of firing and sintering temperature near the melting point. So it is difficult to sinter LAS to dense sintered body. In this study, the petalite (Li2O.Al2O3.8SiO2) with good thermal properties, was taken as a base composition, and zironia was added in this composition to broaden the firing range, increase the mechanical strength, and control the thermal expansion. The thermal and mechanical properties were investigated. The results are as follows; 1. Zirconia phase was formed in LAS matrix and apparent porosity was decreased from 0.9% to 0.5%, and the mechanical strength was kincreased from 112 MPa to 190 MPa, by the densification of body. 2. The composition Li2O.Al2O3.8SiO2 has a negative thermal expansion, but the thermal expansion was changed from negative to positive with the densification and the increase of amount of synthesized zircon phase which had positive thermal expansion. The coefficient of thermal expansion, with the increase of the amount of additives, was low as -0.74~9.06$\times$10-7/$^{\circ}C$ in 20~$600^{\circ}C$, and 7.95~20.13$\times$10-7/$^{\circ}C$ in 20~80$0^{\circ}C$. 3. The mechanical strength of LZ15 (added with ZrO2.SiO2 15 wt%) composition thermal-shocked was stable in the temperature range of 0~$600^{\circ}C$, but rapidly decreased due to the increase of thermal expansion above $600^{\circ}C$.

덖음차 제조공정 중 첫 덖음시간이 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect on Quality of Pan-Fired Green Tea by 1st Pan-Firing Time)

  • 덖음차 제조공정중 첫 덖음시간에 따른 최적 제다조건을 구명한 실험결과는 다음과 같다. 채엽시 엽수는 4매, 엽장 및 엽폭은 $6.4cm\;{\times}\;2.4cm$, 백아중(白芽重)은 40.2g이었다. 첫 덖음시간이 길어질수록 수분함량은 감소하여 6분 덖음시 6.0%에서 14분 덖음시 4.6%로 되었고, 제품수율은 10분에서 20.12%로 가장 높았다. 덖음시간에 따라 전질소는 $5.14{\sim}5.41%$, 총아미노산은 $2,531{\sim}3,282mg/100g$의 변이를 보였으며, 그 중에서 첫 덖음시간이 10분일 때 가장 함량이 높았던 반면, 탄닌은 $13.22{\sim}13.86%$로 10분 처리에서 함량이 가장 낮았다. 카페인 $1.64{\sim}2.01%$로 첫덖음시간에 별로 영향을 받지 않았으며, 엽록소($319.1{\sim}380.3mg/100g$)와 비타민 C ($158.9{\sim}208.8mg/100g$)는 덖음시간이 길어질수록 함량이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 16종의 유리아미노산 및 질소화합물 분석 결과 총 함량은 $2,447{\sim}3,192mg/100g$이었으며 10분 첫 덖음이 가장 높은 함량을 나타냈다. 이들 중에서 theanine이 50% 이상이었고 aspartic acid, serine, glutamic acid 및 arginine을 합치면 $89.4{\sim}90.0%$였다. 차의 색깔은 덖음시간이 길어질수록 황색이 증가하였고 녹색은 10분 덖음에서 가장 진한 색을 나타냈다. 또한 관능검사 결과도 10분 덖음이 가장 높은 평가를 받았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 첫 덖음 시간의 경우 10분이 적당하리라 생각된다.

천안-아산지역 원삼국시대 토기의 제작특성과 원료산지 해석: 밖지므레 유적을 중심으로 (Clay Source Interpretation and Making Characteristics of Proto-Three Kingdoms Period Potteries from Cheonan and Asan in Korea: Focusing on the Bakjimeure Site)

  • 이 연구는 아산 탕정 밖지므레 유적에서 출토된 원삼국시대 토기의 기형별 제작특성과 원료산지 해석을 목적으로 수행하였다. 연구대상 토기편은 심발형토기, 원통형토기, 오리형토기 및 원저단경호편으로 이 중 원저단경호가 우점한다. 이는 인근의 용두리 진터 유적, 갈매리 유적과 백석동 유적에서도 확인되며, 태토의 색상, 흡수율 및 분급에서 상당히 다양한 특징을 보인다. 이들은 4.57~25.19%의 흡수율 범위와 $850{\sim}1,150^{\circ}C$의 넓은 소성온도 범위를 가져 쓰임이 다양하게 이용된 것으로 추정된다. 한편 원통형 및 오리형토기와 심발형토기는 재료과학적으로 동질성이 높고 $850{\sim}950^{\circ}C$의 소성온도 범위를 보인다. 그러나 심발형토기는 다른 기형에 비해 조립질의 석영 및 장석류가 다량 포함되어 기능적으로 차이를 보인다. 아산 밖지므레 유적 남단부의 3지점에서 수습한 토양시료는 광물학적 및 지구화학적 거동특성이 동일 유적 토기 뿐만 아니라 다른 유적에서 수습한 대부분의 토기들과 가장 유사한 특징을 보인다.
