인가주파수에 따른 결합형 광변조기 특성변화 (Characterization of coupling optical modulator to the applied frequency)

  • Coupling optical modulator which on the $LiTaO_3$ substrate is fabricated by using proton exchange method and self-aligned method. Proton exchange of proton diffusion method was applied to pattern a waveguide on $LiTaO_3$ substrate. The annealing at >$400^{\circ}C$ was carded out to control waveguide width and depth. The depths of the two annealed optical waveguides, which were measured by using .alpha.-step, were 1.435 K.angs. and 1.380 K.angs. Using .alpha.-step facility, we examined that the width of waveguides is increased from 5.mu.m to 6.45 .mu.m and 6.3.mu.m due to the annealing effects. The process of proton exchange was done at 150.deg. C for 120 min, >$200^{\circ}C$ for 60 min and annealing process was done at >$400^{\circ}C$ for 90 min, >$400^{\circ}C$ for 60 min. The high speed coupling optical modulator has very good figures of merits; the measured high frequency power were achieved.

Smoke Detection System Research using Fully Connected Method based on Adaboost

  • Smoke and fire have different shapes and colours. This article suggests a fully connected system which is used two features using Adaboost algorithm for constructing a strong classifier as linear combination. We calculate the local histogram feature by gradient and bin, local binary pattern value, and projection vectors for each cell. According to the histogram magnitude, this paper applied adapted weighting value to improve the recognition rate. To preserve the local region and shape feature which has edge intensity, this paper processed the normalization sequence. For the extracted features, this paper Adaboost algorithm which makes strong classification to classify the objects. Our smoke detection system based on the proposed approach leads to higher detection accuracy than other system.

전통 한국 식이의 비교 영양학 (Comparative Nutrition of Traditional Korean Diet)

  • Rice is the primary main dish of Traditional Korean diet. Although there have been changes in food consumption and nutrient intake among Koreans, traditional dietary pattern is stil dominant among Koreans. Traditional Korean diet has emphasized breakfast, which is the most frequently missed meals in Korea today but important for daily work performance and health. Compared to diets of the U.S. and Greece, Korean diet is high in carbohydrate and low in fat and cholesterol due to low intake of meat. Koreans also consume large amount of plant food, which makes fiber content of diet to be high. However fruit and milk consumption tends to be low in Korea. Koreans use fermented food, including kimchi, very frequently as well as foods cooked and consumed at high temperature and over direct fire. Traditional cooking methods are time consuming which limits the usage among modern city dwellers with working women. Despite the strengths of traditional Korean diets in reducing risk factors of chronic diseases, preservation of the tradition in modern Korean society requires special attention and efforts to make them more adaptable to contemporary life styles.

고온에 노출된 철근콘크리트 보의 역학적 특성에 관한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on the Mechanical Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beams Exposed to High Temperature)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beam members exposed to high temperature. In order to study the flexural behaviors, the 17 specimens have been tested with variables of reinforcement ratios($0.5\rho_{max},\rho_{min}$), heating conditions(nonheating, 400$^{circ}C$, 600$^{circ}C$, 800$^{circ}C$ heating and 1 hour preservation) and loading state(stressed and residual state). The results show that the stiffness and strength of specimens are lower when they are exposed to higher temperature and the pattern of crack and color of specimens exposed to fire are different from ordinary concrete members.

SVM을 이용한 교전영역 내 위협목록 획득방법 (The Threat List Acquisition Method in an Engagement Area using the Support Vector Machines)

  • This paper presents a threat list acquisition method in an engagement area using the support vector machines (SVM). The proposed method consists of track creation, track estimation, track feature extraction, and threat list classification. To classify the threat track robustly, dynamic track estimation and pattern recognition algorithms are used. Dynamic tracks are estimated accurately by approximating a track movement using position, velocity and time. After track estimation, track features are extracted from the track information, and used to classify threat list. Experimental results showed that the threat list acquisition method in the engagement area achieved about 95 % accuracy rate for whole test tracks when using the SVM classifier. In case of improving the real-time process through further studies, it can be expected to apply the fire control systems.

  • 유비쿼터스 화재 방재 시스템은 온도, 습도, 조도, 가속도, CO2, 등의 다양한 센서로부터 얻는 값을 이용해 화재를 판별하여 관리자에게 전달하고 시스템 설정 값에 따라 소화설비를 동작시키는 지능형 화재 탐지 시스템이다. 기존 화재 판별 기법은 크게 영상인식, 퍼지추론, 베이지안 추론으로 나뉠 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 앞선 기술들을 분석하고, ARM9 S3C2440/SHT-75를 이용한 센서기반 유비쿼터스 화재 방재 시스템 최적의 화재 판별 기술로서 가속도 알고리즘과 벡터 랜덤변수 표본공간 영역을 이용한 패턴인식 기술을 사용한 복합 화재 판별 방법을 제안한다.

Standby Mode에서 출화된 콘센트의 화염 패턴 및 전기적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flame Pattern and the Electrical Properties of Electric Outlet Fired at Standby Mode)

  • Standby mode에서 출화된 콘센트의 화염 패턴 및 전기적 특성에 대해서 분석하였다 탄화 패턴을 분석한 결과 불꽃은 약 50~70cm 정도 방사되었다. 가연물에 착화된 후 약 150sec 경과하였을 때 온도가 약 $300^{\circ}c$까지 상승했으며, 화염은 ceiling jet을 형성하며 급속도로 확산되었다. 트래킹은 극간의 최단거리를 형성하며 이루어졌으며 저항 값은 약 100~300$\Omega$을 나타냈다. 칼받이를 금속 현미경으로 분석한 결과 정상 부분은 비정질 구조를 나타냈으나, 트래킹에 의해 소손된 부분은 수지상 조직(dendrite structure)과 보이드(void)가 고르게 분포되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 용융된 칼받이를 SEM 및 EDX로 분석한 결고 ㅏ정상 부분과 용융된 부분의 구조와 조성 변화에 차이가 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는, 접촉연소식 가스 탐지 소자를 대상으로 감도특성 및 전기적 특성을 분석하였으며, 24시간 동안 공기중에 노출시킨 후 온도($20^{\circ}c$, $40^{\circ}c$)와 상대습도(65%, 85%)에서 작동시켜 분석하였다. 또한 동일한 주거환경에서 210일 동안 50 cm/sec 유속을 유지하며 가스탐지소자의 동작을 실험하였다. 가스 탐지센서에 공급 전원은 기본회로에 직류 전압별(2.1V, 2.2V, 2.3V)로 인가하였다. 따라서, 상대습도와 온도에 의한 이소부탄과 메탄 특성그래프를 각각 분석한 결과 전반적으로 선형적인 증가를 보임을 확인할 수 있다.

잎담배 및 제품담배의 재떨어짐에 관한 연구 (Ash Drop Measuring on Tobacco Leaf Grades and Brand Cigarettes)

  • In this study, we have investigated the natural and puffing combustibility of cigarette brands and the compulsory ash-drop, and analysed factors related to the materials. Cigarette combustibility was greatly affected by the tobacco weight in cigarettes rod. Combustion rate of 4AOR cigarette made by flue-cured tobacco was 5.02 $^{mm}/_{min}\;and\;10\%$ faster than 1BO cigarette. Combustion pattern has interrelation with sugars, chlorine and ash contents among tobacco components. Combustion rate of 4DL, flue-cured tobacco was 55 seconds faster than 1CL tobacco extremely much in sugars contents, and ash drop was maintained at $21\%$ longer. Combustion time and burning rate were fast in cigarette made by expanded tobacco slice and tobacco stem and the formation of ash was poor. The length of puffed ash drop of expanded tobacco slice and tobacco stem were 18.6 mm and 25.2 mm and these forced ash drop length were 3.8 mm and 4.9 mm respectively. Puffed burning rate of general cigarette was $14.3\%$ faster than static burning rate and super slim type cigarettes was $21.3\%$ faster. Combustion rate and ash drop of domestic and foreign cigarette brands were quite different depending on tar level and cigarette types. The lower tar level, the faster combustion rate and the shorter ash drop.

DPT 실험을 이용한 고온노출된 강섬유보강콘크리트의 인장강도 평가 (Tensile strength evaluation of SFRC subjected to high temperature using double punch test)

  • 강섬유 보강콘크리트는 NATM 터널의 숏크리트와 세그먼트 등 라이닝에 주로 적용된다. 터널화재시 라이닝은 화재에 직접적으로 노출되기 때문에 고온노출시 SFRC의 성능변화는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 고온에 노출된 강섬유보강콘크리트의 인장성능을 DPT 실험을 통하여 검토하였다. 고온 노출온도, 강섬유 혼입률 및 종류가 파괴형태, DPT 인장강도, 실험의 변동계수에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실험결과, 강섬유 보강으로 인한 잔존인장강도의 증가를 확인하였으며, 혼입률이 증가할수록 효과적임을 확인하였다. 그러나, DPT 인장강도는 고온노출로 인한 파괴면의 변화를 고려할 수 없기 때문에 파괴에너지의 고찰이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.
