This study is intended to suggest some ideal measures available in the course of construction from the viewpoint of an architect to reduce damage of human lives and Properties caused by fire accidents in buildings. For this study, 7 buildings burnt by conflaguration in Seoul during the years of 1985 and 1987 are picked up, and 105 withnesses, who were present in one of them at them at fire, are traced for personal interview and respones to the written questionaire about 5 main issues; their perceptional behaviour, their emotional state at that time, their reactions to avoid danger, their escape routes, and their usual awareness to prevent fire. Some desirable measures suggested here are ;making Provisions to install fire centers in large buildings and underground structures in the fire fighting law, and requlating to compose fire units appropriate to the quantity of combustibles inside, limit the length of a blind corridor, furnish balustrade, and limit the width of the landing of the stairs in building code and regulations. Such measures should be considered from the time of planning to construct a building, and some drill and education in fire prevention is demanded for the occupants of the buildings too.
Fire protection management system has been introduced to prevent structure fire since establishment of Fire Prevention Act. Nevertheless, Damage by fires is continue. The main purpose of this study is to discuss approaches to improve fire protection management system into the fire prevention properties. Now fire protection management system has lots of the problems in managerial and systematical aspects. To improve these a unified fire protection management system must be establish by suggests revision of a unified Fire Prevention Act and foundation of Fire Prevention Institution, reform educational system for the fire safety directors would be essential to includes environment improvement, enhancement of certification requirements and education, a standardized computational management system of the fire protection properties must be build for efficient fire protection operations.
The purpose of this article is to search stakeholders' recognition related to Fire Construction Surveillance system; a client(order), fire fighting officer, supervision company, construction company, design company, other. The paper provides 4 important things. Firstly, a client(order) suggested the lowest recognition in the needs about the need of separation order, that of contract for any construction work limited registered companies, and that of standard price for engineering.. Secondly, the design company is lowest recognition in guidance and control participating in construction-design phase. Thirdly, the design company is lowest in adjustment about manpower-allocation according to allocation criteria of technical manpower. Fourthly, a client(order) and supervision company are relatively lower than other stakeholder in necessity on special education and training system for auditor in fire protection construction. Almost all related matters are related to more or less stakeholders' interest.

The fire took place in the synthetic heat transfer fluid boiler used in production process of medium density fiberboard. This study investigated pressure distribution of the first, second and third passes and the temperature in the fire burner. The boiler's internal fluid is unsteady due to the out of order inverter. As the operation continues, the flame's flow and speed are unsteady. The synthetic heat transfer fluid leak spouted about 120kg/min in the form of vapor in the early period of the fire. The flame extended to the second and third passes. The highest temperature of the second and third pass is $1059^{\circ}C$ and $1007^{\circ}C$, respectively. The synthetic heat transfer fluid spouted through the cracked part of the fire box in the first pass and accumulated on the turn table. Therefore, it is expected that the temperature of the interior of the fire box is above $1200^{\circ}C$. The temperature of the burner rises to a maximum level several times in a short period. On account of that, several explosions occur in the fire burner. Pressure distribution at steady state in combustion furnace is 2~5mAq and pressure distribution at inverter under fault condition in combustion furnace is 10~-53mAq. The decrement of coil thickness measurement for synthetic heat transfer fluid boiler is 0~5mm.
In this paper a mathematical model for the prediction of the fire resistance of slim-floor steel beams based on an Artificial Neural Network modeling procedure is presented. The artificial neural network models are trained and tested using an analytical database compiled for this purpose from analytical results based on FEM. The proposed model was selected as the optimum from a plethora of alternatives, employing different activation functions in the context of Artificial Neural Network technique. The performance of the developed model was compared against analytical results, employing several performance indices. It was found that the proposed model achieves remarkably improved predictions of the fire resistance of slim-floor steel beams. Moreover, based on the optimum developed AN model a closed-form equation for the estimation of fire resistance is derived, which can prove a useful tool for researchers and engineers, while at the same time can effectively support the teaching of this subject at an academic level.
Korea has the highest suicide rate in the world, and firefighters have the highest suicide rate among the professional population. As a result of the study, post-traumatic stress disorder education is essential in all occupations. Post-traumatic stress disorder is the most common disease and the biggest obstacle for firefighters in Korea. Firefighters who have suffered physical and mental damage in many types of disaster sites due to their extreme occupations are rapidly increasing the suicide rate in recent years. In order to maximize the effect of job training, education on post-traumatic stress disorder from new employees to leadership training is urgently needed.

Maritime accidents caused by a ship include collisions, sinking, stranding and fire etc. This study is intending to consider fire accidents among such diverse marine accidents. It is much likely that various sorts of fires break out because crews are living in a narrow space for long periods of time consequent on the ship's characteristic of sailing on the sea. This study carried out a simulation through the special program for fire analysis - FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator) in order to find the effective evacuation time, i.e. life survival time. Particularly, this study did comparative analysis of the influence on the survival of cadets based on the collected simulation data by fire size and sort. As a result of the analysis, It was analyzed the Evacuation Allowable Limit Temperature $60^{\circ}C$ and resulted that there is no influence in evacuation by temperature. In case of visibility analysis, it reached to 5m which is the Evacuation Allowable Limit at 117 seconds under the condition of wood fire in 1MW. When there is Kerosene in 1MW, it took 92.4 seconds to reach by 5m which is the Evacuation Allowable Limit. Theoretical evacuation time for the non-tilted ship was 118.8 seconds in 1MW sized fire so it is shown that the most passengers are met the evacuation safety in case of wood fire. However, the majority of passengers could not be ensured the evacuation safety in Kerosene case.
In order to investigate the strength recovery of fire-damaged concrete after post-fire curing, concrete specimens were heating at $2^{\circ}C/min$ or $5^{\circ}C/min$ to 400, 600 and $800^{\circ}C$, and these exposed specimens were soaked in the water for 24 hours and following by 29-day post-fire curing. The compressive strength and split tensile strength of the high-temperature-exposed specimens before and after post-fire curing were tested. The proportion of split aggregate in the split surfaces was analyzed to evaluate the mortar-aggregate interfacial strength. After the post-fire curing process, the split tensile strength of specimens exposed to all temperatures was recovered significantly, while the recovery of compressive strength was only obvious within the specimens exposed to $600^{\circ}C$. The tensile strength is more sensitive to the mortar-aggregate interfacial cracks, which caused that the split tensile strength decreased more after high-temperature exposure and recovery more after post-fire curing than the compressive strength. The mortar-aggregate interfacial strength also showed remarkable recovery after post-fire curing, and it contributed to the recovery of split tensile strength.
This paper recognizes the risk of ignition of air fryer (machine that can cook fried dishes with hot air without oil) that is far exceeding the sales rate of microwave ovens, which is necessary to modern household kitchen, and identifies fire risk through the operation principle of the process of heat transfer, and the main structure of the machine. The fire test that we conducted is to observe the risk of ignition of the machine due to the damage to the safety system and the possibility of igniting oil paper along with food, to experiment with the possibility of ignition due to blockage of the exhaust due to obstacles, and accumulation of oil stains on the hot wire, and to present the method of fire control and devise countermeasures.
This paper proposes improvement measures of a school safety education program by analyzing the factors affecting the cognition of school safety on the school safety transfer intention and their mediating effects. In summary, the satisfaction with the contents was represented as a variable with the greatest influence on the transfer intention followed in order by satisfaction with the instructor and satisfaction with the environment. On the other hand, satisfaction with the teaching method was not significant. In addition, the general cognition on school safety education showed that it has mediating effects on the relationship between the satisfaction with the school administrator safety education and the school safety transfer intention.
