임의 형태의 해양구조물에 의한 해수파의 산란 (The Water Wave Scattering by the Marine Structure of Arbitrary Shape)

  • Large offshore structure are to be considered for oil storage facilities , marine terminals, power plants, offshore airports, industrial complexes and recreational facilities. Some of them have already been constructed. Some of the envisioned structures will be of the artificial-island type, in which the bulk of structures may act as significant barriers to normal waves and the prediction of the wave intensity will be of importance for design of structure. The present study deals wave scattering problem combining reflection and diffraction of waves due to the shape of the impermeable rigid upright structure, subject to the excitation of a plane simple harmonic wave coming from infinity. In this study, a finite difference technique for the numerical solution is applied to the boundary integral equation obtained for wave potential. The numerical solution is verified with the analytic solution. The model is applied to various structures, such as the detached breakwater (3L${\times}$0.1L), bird-type breakwater(318L${\times}$0.17L), cylinder-type and crescent -type structure (2.89L${\times}$0.6L, 0.8L${\times}$0.26L).The result are presented in wave height amplification factors and wave height diagram. Also, the amplification factors across the structure or 1 or 2 wavelengths away from the structure are compared with each given case. From the numerical simulation for the various boundary types of structure, we could figure out the transformation pattern of waves and predict the waves and predict the wave intensity in the vicinity of large artificial structures.

두 개의 뜨거운 원형 실린더가 존재하는 사각형 실린더 내부의 자연대류에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study of Natural Convection in a Square Enclosure with two Hot Circular Cylinders)

  • Numerical calculations are carried out for the natural convection in a square enclosure with two hot cylinders induced by temperature difference between a cold outer rectangular cylinder and two hot circular cylinders. A two-dimensional solution for unsteady natural convection is obtained, using the immersed boundary method (IBM) to model two inner circular cylinders based on finite volume method, for different Rayleigh numbers varying over the range of $10^3$ to $10^5$. The study goes further to investigate the effect of the location of two cylinders on the heat transfer and fluid flow. The location of inner circular cylinders is changed vertically along the center-line of square enclosure. The changes of heat transfer quantities have been presented.

최소민감도이론에 의한 조인트 부재의 공차설계 (Joint Tolerance Design by Minimum Sensitivity Theorem)

  • 길이가 긴 원통형 실린더를 구성하는 데에 사용될 조인트 부재에 대한 공차설계를 수행하였다. 즉, 원통형 실린더를 체결할 때 사용되는 조인트 부품 가운데 스터드 볼트를 최소 민감도해석에 의해 공차설계를 하였다. 조인트 부재의 공차설계를 위한 최소 민감도 해석에 의한 정식화는 목적함수가 폰 마이세스 응력의 공차에 대한 민감도이고, 여러 부등호 제약식 중에서 자중이 부등호 제안식에 포함된다. 조인트 부재의 경우 자중에 대한 타당한 부등호 제안식을 설정하기 위하여 우선 확정적인 경우에 대한 최적설계를 수행하여 그 범위값을 선정하였다. 원통형 부재의 구조 응답은 축대칭 유한요소로서 구조해석을 수행하여 제안식을 설정하였으며, 직접미분에 의해서 설계 민감도를 구하여 ,최적화 알고리즘과 결합하여 최적의 공차를 제시하였다.

  • 본 연구의 주요 목적은 표면균열의 상호간섭 효과를 선 스프링 모델을 이용하 여 해석하여 그 결과를 비교, 검토하는 것이다. 먼저 선 스프링 모델의 이론적 배경 을 설명하고 이를 바탕으로 개발된 ABAQUS 유한요소 프로그램을 이용하여 평판구조물 에 표면균열이 한개 존재하는 경우에 대한 해석을 수행하여 이 방법의 타당성을 확인 해 보고자 한다. 또한 평판 구조물 및 원통형 구조물에 2개의 표면 균열이 존재하는 경우에 대하여 해석을 수행하여 표면균열의 상호간섭 효과를 밝혀보고자 한다.

FDTD 방법을 이용한 복잡한 구조물에서의 전자파 침투 특성 해석 (Analysis of EM Penetration Problems in Complex Structures Using Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 PML 흡수 경계 조건을 만족하는 FDTD법을 이용하여 안테나의 방사 특성 및 EM penet tration 문제를 해석하였다 설린더 위에 탑재된 짧은 모노폴 안테나의 경우 far-field에서의 주 방사 성분인 $E_0(\varphi=90^\circ)$에 대하여, 본 논문에서 제안된 FDTD 해석 결과와 Carter에 의한 정확한 해석적 방법과 서로 비교 해 보았으며 그 결파 두 해석 방법에 의한 결과 값이 서로 매우 잘 일치함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 이렇게 검증된 본 FDTD법을 이용하여 헬기와 같은 복잡한 구조물에서의 EM penetration 문제를 해석 하였다. 헬기의 외부에서 평면파가 입사함에 따라 헬기 내부로 침투되는 전자파 특성을 고찰하였다. 해석 결과, 헬기의 창문 및 측면 출입구를 통하여 입사 전자파의 대부분이 침투되는 특성을 확인하였다.

  • The performance of circuit interruption of $SF_6$ puffer cylinder type gas circuit breaker(GCB) has been evaluated from the results of electrical insulation strength which is depend on material property, such as $SF_6$ gas density in circuit breaker tank. In order to determine circuit breaker dimension in the safety criteria. electrical field analysis has been done by finite element method. Gas density of concerned area in the circuit breaker has been calculated. In order to predict small current break performance, Electrical field analysis result must be calculated based the results of density from cold flow dynamics. The proposed method has been carried out and evaluated for 362kV class high voltage GIS.

Failure analysis of prestressing steel wires

  • This paper treats the failure analysis of prestressing steel wires with different kinds of localised damage in the form of a surface defect (crack or notch) or as a mechanical action (transverse loads). From the microscopical point of view, the micromechanisms of fracture are shear dimples (associated with localised plasticity) in the case of the transverse loads and cleavage-like (related to a weakest-link fracture micromechanism) in the case of cracked wires. In the notched geometries the microscopic modes of fracture range from the ductile micro-void coalescence to the brittle cleavage, depending on the stress triaxiality in the vicinity of the notch tip. From the macroscopical point of view, fracture criteria are proposed as design criteria in damage tolerance analyses. The transverse load situation is solved by using an upper bound theorem of limit analysis in plasticity. The case of the cracked wire may be treated using fracture criteria in the framework of linear elastic fracture mechanics on the basis of a previous finite element computation of the stress intensity factor in the cracked cylinder. Notched geometries require the use of elastic-plastic fracture mechanics and numerical analysis of the stress-strain state at the failure situation. A fracture criterion is formulated on the basis of the critical value of the effective or equivalent stress in the Von Mises sense.

이동식크레인의 과부하방지장치용 광각도 핀형 로드셀의 창의적 설계 (Creative Design of Large-Angle Pin Type Load Cell for the Overload Limiter of a Movable Crane)

  • An overload limiter is used to prevent its overturning accident during an operation of a movable crane. Recently the indirect measuring method, which measures hoisting load and overturning moment of overload limiter, demands instead of the existing method, which measures only hoisting load. The indirectly measuring method is how to conduct the hoisting load and overturning moment as measuring the load of hydraulic cylinder for a luffing driving of boom. So we need to develop the multi-angular pin type load cell with the measuring angle of ${\pm}10$ degree instead of the existing load cell with the measuring angle of ${\pm}2$ degree. In this study the finite element analysis is conducted to evaluate the effect of the aspect ratio of measuring cross section on the measuring limit of the load cell to develop the many-angular pin type load cell. For this investigation, the aspect ratio of measuring cross section and load applying angle were adopted as design parameters and the stresses of measuring part were evaluated for each parameter.

  • The three-dimensional correction factor of the added mass of finite-length elliptic cylinders in vertical vibration in a free surface was calculated. This problem has already been dealt by T. Kumai[5] to contribute to analytical prediction of the three-dimensional correction factor for the added mass in vertical vibration of ships. In Kumai's work, the body boundary condition involved in the appropriate boundary value problem was approximately treated in the course of obtaining the solution. In this work, obtaining the solution derived from mathematically exact treatment of the body boundary condition, the author recalculated the three-dimensional correction factor for length-beam ratio $4{\sim}8$, beam-draught ratio $2.00{\sim}4.50$ and number of nodes from 2 to 7. And the numerical results were compared with both Kumai's results and the author's experimental data for two and three-noded vibrations of the cylinder of beam-draught ratio 2.40 The comparison of the numerical results shows that the author's are always higher than the Kumai's as expected. And the comparison of the numerical results with experimental data shows that the Kumai's numerical results have less deviation in case of two-noded vibration, and that, in case of three-noded vibration, the author's numerical results are in fairly good correspondence.

  • 본 연구에서는 이러한 예측능력 향상에 중점을 두어 2차원 축대칭 모델엔진 실린더내의 유동장 및 열전달특성을 예측할 수 있는 새로운 코오드를 개발하여 실험자 료와의 비교를 통해 프로그램을 검증하고 흡입 및 압축과정을 수치시뮬레이션한 결과 를 보고하고자 한다. 아울러 선회속도의 영향도 고찰하였다. 난류모델은 K-.epsilon.난류 모델을 압축성 효과가 고려되도록 수정된 모델을 사용하였으며 TEACH코오드를 기본으 로 하여 비정상 압축성 유동을 풀 수 있는 새로운 알고리즘을 개발하여 수정하였다.
