The Korean economic crisis hit badly the local construction industry, especially during the year of the 1998 when the country took the IMF bailout proframme. Under the poor business environment, such as reduction of construction investment, financial difficulty from high interest rate, and increasing bankruptcies, restructuring measures were repuired for survival of the industry. It is obvious the restructuring process is essential for the future business success. regardless of the financial crisis. With this background, this research aims the contribute to improved construction management structure and strengthened international competitiveness of the industry through the cost reduction and productivity enhancement, by analysising and proposing and optimal level of the manpower structure of construction management organization With the subject of 24 construction fields of apartment houses in the capital region as of January 1, 1999, constructed by OO company having leaded the construction industry of the country so far now, the researcher performed the on the spot survey regarding the organization/manpower structure and construction contract amount.

The study examines the magnitude of economic spillover and the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows on the efficiency of the bank industry in China. This study employs unit root tests, cointegration tests and cointegrating regression analysis, including fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS), canonical cointegrating regression (CCR) and dynamic OLS (DOLS) to test the proposed hypotheses. The sample is restricted to the period of time in which monthly data is available and comparable among variables for the period from January 2002 to October 2013 (142 observations). All of the time series data was collected and retrieved from the People's Bank of China, China Monthly Statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, and International Financial Statistics database from International Monetary Fund. The results of the Johansen cointegration test suggest that there is a long-run equilibrium relationship between FDI inflows, foreign exchange rate and banks performance in China. The results of cointegrating regression analysis using FMOLS, CCR and DOLS suggest that M2 supply and FDI inflows are significant at the 0.01 level. The results confirm that FDI inflows in the banking sector are positively related to the increase of banks productivity and performance and short-term loans in China. However, the results suggest that Chinese Yuan currency exchange rate to U.S. dollar is not significant in the banking and financial industry of China.

The financial industry in which arbitration is most frequently resorted to so as to resolve disputes is the sector related to the securities industry. Most securities related disputes are raised from broker-dealer controversies which is not new in the Republic of Korea. The disputes between securities brokers and customers are very frequently settled by arbitration in the United States. But the arbitration in the securities area may deprive investors from securities regulation's protection. Introducing the United States' Federal Supreme Courts cases, the author explores the logic of how the pre-dispute arbitration agreement compatible with Securities regulations. However, the author insist the South Korea should more careful in accepting pre-dispute arbitration contract in securities area. Mostly because of the lack of more specific way to secure substantive fairness in securities arbitration. Also the author worries about the possibility of prevailing pre-dispute arbitration agreement in all of the securities investment contract without any other choices, or securities laws' protection. But the author also suggests to introduce public securities arbitration system of the States, and also insists the way to secure substantive fairness, or the application of securities regulations in securities arbitrations. Which may be the pre-requirements for the pre-dispute arbitration agreement in securities investment contract.

Brands play a critical role as a core asset and the primary driver for corporate growth because of their power of identity and influence on customers' perceptions in restaurant industry. However, in spite of diverse and dynamically changing recent brand portfolio strategies of restaurants, a study on the effect of brand diversification on financial performance has been rarely conducted in the restaurant industry context. Considering competing viewpoints regarding diversification's influence on financial performance, the purpose of this study is, therefore, to examine the effect of brand diversification on firm performance of restaurants. The results indicated that brand diversification is positive effect to profitability. Brand diversification seems to be attractive and might be a reasonable growth strategy to expand market power by satisfying diverse consumer needs. Therefore, restaurant managers should be consider in implementing brand diversification strategy especially in dynamically changing trend of brand diversification in the current restaurant industry.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of financial and non-financial performance measures in BSC on the performance of hotel industry. To achieve research purpose, this study analyzed the data from korean hotel industry. Empirical results of this study show that there are significant positive correlations among the performance measures in terms of four balanced scorecard. These results are consistent with those of previous studies. In addition, regression analyses has shown that the performance measures have positive impacts on the performance of hotel firms.

The existing evaluation systems based on financial performance summarize the information about past results and focus on short-term performance, and so they have the limits to explain the future value of firms and to make a long-term strategic performance. By this reason, as a way to increase the future value, the development of the integrated performance evaluation system with which we may manages financial performance and knowledge assets together has been required recently. This study puts together various researches for the evaluation of knowledge assets, and analyzes the existing studies for the domestic medical devices industry and the tendency of introduction for business practice. Under this analysis, this study develops the knowledge asset evaluation indexes for medical devices industry by using the Balanced Score Card (BSC) of Kaplan & Norton(1992), and then presents the evaluation model by applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) of Saaty(1980) to get the weight for each index. With the final evaluation model, we can calculate the evaluation score combined with both the quantitative indexes and the qualitative indexes at once.

This study examines whether the two variables that encompass the number of rooms sold and occupancy, as independent variables, positively affect a total of revenue generated from the hotel industry. Using a simple regression analysis and a standard multiple regression analysis, the study evaluates if the two independent variables play an important role in influencing a total of revenue in the hotel industry. A finding tells that researchers need consider a removal of the occupancy rate for a better and accurate prediction. It is expected that this study will contribute to a theoretical development of a study group that focuses on what determinants enable to improve a financial performance in the hotel sector.

The exchange rate volatility during the global financial crisis in 2007-2009 led Korean shipbuilding companies to face currency risk. The use of foreign currency derivatives to take a risk in financial exposure affects them significantly. This research analyzes how the use of foreign currency derivatives affects the Korean shipbuilding industry in relation to its foreign sales by company type and over time, especially before and after the crisis period. It is based on statistical data presented by KOSHIPA and KOSIC in 2001-2014. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between foreign currency derivatives and foreign currency exposure for all firm sizes and years, but no relationship between them overtime.

Recently, it has been argued that it is necessary to attract foreign patients outside domestic insurers and to allow foreign doctors to treat in domestic hospitals in order to develop the insurance industry and revitalize the medical industry. Currently, large medical institutions in Korea are attracting foreign patients in connection with foreign insurance companies. It is desirable to increase the number of overseas patients who want excellent medical services in Korea, and to provide opportunities for domestic insurance companies to attract overseas patients by expanding job creation through a revitalization of the medical industry. Therefore, this study suggests the development direction for insurers who aim to attract foreign patients through the side effects of attracting foreign patients in accordance with the Financial Services Commission's plan to strengthen the competitiveness of the financial industry. In addition, this study intends to contribute to the strengthening of the competitiveness of attracting foreign patients, through domestic insurance business, to the insurance direct payment market for overseas patients using domestic medical institutions that are concentrated in foreign insurance companies and in the blind spot of domestic law application.

The Changwon city which announced 2040 hydrogen policy vision is planning to establish the new hydrogen-centered city. The building of plant which is available to produce the 5 ton/day of liquid hydrogen is promoted as one of the projects in order to achieve the vision. However, the analysis in terms of local economic and environmental aspects is insufficient because this liquid hydrogen plant is the first in Korea. Therefore, in this study, the financial feasibility of the liquid hydrogen plant project was analyzed by reviewing the benefits of liquid hydrogen supply and environmental improvement, and the feasibility of this project has been investigated which is being built based on the hydrogen industrial plan of Changwon city.
