This paper measures and analyzes the performance of insurance companies in Korea in respect to sustainable development and suggest strategic implications based on the analysis. The correlation, regression, ANOVA, and t-test are employed. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, it shows tat social index is important in the life insurance industry; however, the environmental index, is important in the non-life insurance industry. Second, the result gained by regressing the size and financial soundness on the performance of sustainable development demonstrates that the size variable is statistically significant. It suggests that size is a necessary condition for sustainable development. Finally, ANOVA shows that the small and medium sized companies have a significantly poor performance compared to the large companies concerning the social index and reputation index in the life insurance industry. The small and medium sized companies in the non-life insurance industry exhibit a significantly poor performance compared to the large companies in respect to all the indexes, except for the social index. Therefore, the small and medium sized companies make every endeavor in the poor indexes to improve performance.

Businesses have to survive and thrive in both domestic and international environments. In order to resolve these problems, new alternatives have been presented. These include the importance of women's resources and entrepreneurship of female CEOs. The sensibility, delicacy, creativity as well as the intuitive power of female CEOs, actively enables them to cope with the ever-changing environment. Because of the rapidly changing circumstances, the above mentions women's attributes are highlighted thus, causing women's roles in society to shift from their traditional tendencies to finding careers and their own identities. Due to this change in social roles, social interest and the values of female CEOs are being reevaluated. Accordingly, the conceptual consideration of female entrepreneurship (innovation, enterprise, risk sensitivity) as well as the factors to be considered for the entrepreneurship of female CEOs in order to promote knowledge management performance was derived in this research. The deducted implication of this research is that generally, the enterprise and risk sensitivity of entrepreneurship affect the knowledge management performance of female CEOs. It is therefore proved that in the case of female CEOs, entrepreneurship and self-efficacy are linked, allowing them to achieve the desired outcome for a specific task performance. Female CEOs are capable of company management through the mediating process of their enterprise, risk sensitivity, and self-efficacy and with faith in their knowledge management, will be able to achieve high performance. Therefore, using strengths and nature peculiar to women, women's economic activities derived from knowledge management based on entrepreneurship will not only help overcome the long-term economy crisis but also lead to high economic growth and development. This will be a dynamic force for the nation's new growth with financial means. The comparative study of existing results will also contribute in suggesting the direction of policies that will enable the success of female CEOs in entrepreneurship.
This paper aims to explore the relationship between organizational competencies and performance by analysing perception survey data of R&D management agencies in Korea. The regression analysis results show the perceived performance measured by policy contribution and R&D management efficiency may be enhanced by organizational competencies such as professionalism and efficiency of R&D management specialized agencies. The paper suggests several improvement measures for strengthening professionalism of R&D management agencies in Korea. First, expertise competencies for strategic planning, management, evaluation need to be empowered in the whole process of R&D cycles. Second, in order to stabilize financial resources of R&D management specialized agencies, the existing R&D budget for Planing, Evaluation and Management should be reformed. Third, R&D management specialized agencies need setting up special organizations for managing inter-organizational collaboration with other R&D organizations. And the agencies should employ special experts in each position for strategic planning, management, evaluation, performance and commercialization. Finally, different R&D management procedures of each R&D management specialized agency need to be standardized in order to promote innovative R&D culture.
This paper summarizes the results of the government R&D funding for ICT SMEs over the past five years, and compares the differences in R&D performance of the government funding methods (grant and loan). Two major ICT SMEs funding programs were examined, and the data used in the comparison were based on the performance analysis report published by the MSIP (Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning) every year. Considering that the projects' conductors were SMEs and that the R&D stages were in development research, the comparison categories were the number of patents and employment (or jobs) positions created, and commercialization success rate and its sales. Comparative analysis results proved that the SME R&D programs were funded with grants had excellent technological achievements in terms of the number of patent applications and registrations. On the other hand, SME R&D programs that were funded by the government loans had relatively higher economic and social achievements, such as employment effects and commercialization sales. However, it was difficult to come to a comparative conclusion on the category of commercialization success rate between the two programs. As the result, this paper provides suggestions for the direction and policy of the government financial support for ICT SME R&D.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of manager's leadership perceived by the person in charge of cultural arts education of the welfare centers for people with disabilities on the job attitude and performance of the work. For the study, the questionnaire response data of 188 persons responsible for arts and culture education of the welfare centers for people with disabilities were analyzed. The main results of the study are as follows. As a result of analyzing the effect of manager 's leadership on the job attitude, it was found that conditional reward, which is a sub - factor of transformational leadership, intellectual stimulation and transactional leadership, And the exceptional management, which is a subordinate factor of intellectual stimulation and transactional leadership, has a positive effect on organizational commitment. Second, the analysis of the influence of the manager 's leadership perceived by the person in charge of cultural arts education of the welfare centers for people with disabilities on the operational performance showed that the intellectual stimulation, which is a sub - factor of transformational leadership, had a positive effect on the service quality. Therefore, managers should propose specific standards on objectives which organizations should accomplish in order to enhance job attitude and operational performance shown by workers in charge of edudation on cultural art at welfare center for the people with disabilities. If these objectives are accomplished, they need to be encouraged by suggesting financial rewards. In addtion, leadership that spurs constant efforts for addressing problems should be demonstrated.

Companies conduct R&D for continuous development and enhancement of corporate value, and obtain patents as an intangible asset resulting from this process. This study screened 103 medical device firms whose R&D information, patent information, and management performance information were all published to determine how R&D activities and patents affect corporate operational performance. The number of patents, R&D costs, company type and Inno-Biz of the company were set as independent variables, and the companies' sales, intangible assets, operating profit ratios, net profit margins, corporate ratings and profit-related financial ratios were used as dependent variables. The results confirmed that R&D expenditure had negative (-) effects on most indicators, including sales volume, operating profit ratio, and net profit ratio, while it had positive (+) [ED highlight - these are unnecessary if negative and positive are also written out.] effects only on intangible assets. Additionally, domestic patents were found to have negative (-) effects on sales, cash flow ratings, and dropped capital return, and positive (+) effects on net profit growth. Moreover, the business performance variables affected by the company characteristics were sales volume and cash flow ratings. The medical device industry is dominated by small and medium-sized businesses Although research and development activities and patents have been shown to have a negative impact on corporate management in the short term, they are expected to have a positive long-term impact when reflecting the characteristics of the medical device industry that must undergo clinical trials and authorization procedures after R&D.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect to financial outcome and workers' outcome, using the manufacturing industry database of Human Capital corporate Panel from Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training. Especially, this study used the typology of Lean production and Autonomous team production, that are the typical form of alternative work organization, to analyze. In the case of domestic manufacturing industry, individual participation practices, that have the main characteristics such as QC or suggestion system, is expanded. Therefore, with the reference of Lean production, Autonomous Team Production and the Taylor system are compared and analyzed, considering the characteristics of Socio-technical System. As a result, it is showed that the Lean production and Autonomous Team Production as a alternative work organization are more positive about the organizational performance and workers' outcome than the taylor system. However, when Lean production and Autonomous Team Production are compared, it is showed unsignificant distinction to the effect of organizational performance. Meanwhile, Lean production showed more negative effect on the every dependent variables such as working hours, income, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment as workers' performance than the Autonomous Team Production. Although the common ideas and belief is that the Lean Production is superior for the quality and organizational performance improvement, it is implied the possibility that there is some damaged workers' performance on the hidden side of that mechanism.

This paper presented a research model to investigate the relationship between the psychological traits of small business entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial orientation and the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and performance. To verify the research model, a total of 202 entrepreneurs in Daegu were surveyed and the data obtained were used. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS and AMOS. The results of the analysis showed that all of the psychological traits except 'Agreeableness' and 'Extroversion' among the small business entrepreneur's psychological trait had a positive(+) effect on entrepreneurial orientation. In addition, it was confirmed that entrepreneurship orientation had a positive(+) effect on performance, and government policy funding had a moderating effect between entrepreneurship orientation and performance. In conclusion, the causal relationship between the small business entrepreneur's psychological traits and entrepreneurial orientation is examined, and the moderating effect of government support programs is examined to find out what psychological traits of small business entrepreneurs affect the expression of entrepreneurial orientation. In addition, since entrepreneurial orientation affects performance and government policy funds control, it suggests that continuous financial support for small business entrepreneurs is needed.
Recently, many interests in the economic contribution of performing arts for the city's tourist attractions have been increasing, and the policy projects supporting surtitle for foreign tourists are expanding. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the acceptance process of subtitle systems using the TAM(Technical Acceptance Model) to understand the influential relations of factors affecting the viewing of the performance of subtitling service by foreign tourists. Data for empirical analysis were collected in a survey of foreign tourists who had experienced performance subtitles with smart pads in three languages. The results of this study are as follows. First, the higher the information system quality of the performance subtitles, the higher the perceived usefulness of the subtitles. Second, for Korean performances, the decreasing level of both the performance-based risk and the psychological risk has a positive influence on the viewing intent. But, the decreasing level of the financial risk has a negative influence on the viewing intent. Third, the decreasing level of performance risk has a positive influence on the perceived usefulness, while the decreasing level of psychological risk has a negative influence on the perceived usefulness. Finally, the psychological risk has the moderating effect of the viewing intention, which it has a negative influence on the perceived usefulness.
The aim of this study is as follows. The first, What are the most important factors Affecting Global Single Window Usage and its Performance in Korean Trade Related Companies? The factors proposed for this study includes The pressure of trading companies in other country, Support of government, top management support, partnership among (makers distributors, retailers, customs service), education and training We gathered detailed data on our sample companies mainly from publicly available sources : Korea Customs Service. A structured questionnaire was used to collect information about: (1) general fact about the company (size, lines of business, products and services provided, employee, and some financial data about exporting), (2) To investigate the factors of the five contexts described above on korean export-import companies's global single window. The result are as follows. The analysis result revealed that the pressure of trading companies, support of government are influential variables on the affecting global single window in korean trade related companies.
