Studying on Expansion of Realtime Blocking List Conception for Spam E-mail Filtering (스팸 메일 차단을 위한 RBL개념의 확장에 관한 연구)

  • In addition to RBL function, which is used to applying for spam e-mail filtering, as an effective way to deal with the recently widespread spam types, this paper proposes how to extract URL that was comprised in the original e-mail, apply it to RBL, and expand it. The BotNet, which is used to using for sending spam mails these days, has a problem that it is not able to solve with the distributed addresses of sent mails in spam e-mails. In general, as these spam e-mails are sent from the infected Zombi PC of individual user, the sent address itself is not efficient and is meaningless to use in RBL. As an effective way to filter spam e-mail sent by BotNet, this paper analyzes URLs that contained in the original spam e-mail and proposes how to effectively improve filter rate, based on the distribution data of URL site tempting users. This paper proposes the sending mechanism of spam e-mails from BotNet and the methods to realize those types of spam e-mails. In order to gather analyzable spam e-mails, this paper also carries out an experiment by configuring trap system of spam e-mail. By analyzing spam e-mails, which have been received during the certain period of experiment, this paper shows that the expanded RBL method, using URLs that contained in spam e-mails, is effective way to improve the filter distribution of spam e-mail.

Pore Structure Modification and Characterization of Porous Cordierite with Chemical Vapor Infiltration (CVI) SiC Whisker (화학증착 탄화규소 휘스커에 의한 다공성 코디어라이트의 기공구조 개질 및 특성평가)

  • The main purpose of this study is enhancing the filtering efficiency, performance and durability of filter by growing SiC whiskers on cordierite honeycomb substrate. The experiment was performed by Chemical Vapor Infiltration (CVI) in order to control pore morphology of substrate. Increasing the mechanical strength of porous substrate is one of important issues. The formation of "networking structure" in the pore of porous substrate increased mechanical strength. The high pressure gas injection to the specimen showed that a little of whiskers were separated from substrate but additional film coating enhanced the stability of whisker at high pressure gas injection. Particle trap test was performed. More nano-particle was trapped by whisker growth at the pore of substrate. Therefore it is expected that the porous cordierite which deposited the SiC whisker will be the promising material for the application as filter trapping the nano-particles.

  • Among after treatment devices which reduce exhaust gas of diesel engine, diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) with high reduction efficiency for gaseous matter and particulate matter is now being studied actively. In this study, an experiment was conducted to analyze the effects on factors of oxidaton characteristics and conversion efficiency of DOC. We tested to estimate change of engine performance whether a 11,000cc diesel engine equipps with DOC or not. We conducted test to estimate the reduction efficiency of exhaust gas in P-5 mode, in D-13 mode of heavy duty diesel regulation mode and in somoke opacity mode for two samples and also we conducted test to analyze the effects about both exhaust gas velocities 1,100rpm and 2,200rpm

  • The test was conducted on an 8000cc heavy-duty turbo-charged heavy-duty diesel engine on which continuous regeneration DPF was installed in order to investigate regeneration characteristics fur DPF and engine performance under conditions of standard (430ppm) or ultra low sulfur diesel (50ppm) and the results were compared with each other. Exhaust emissions, CO, HC, NOx, PM and soot were investigated carefully and tested under D-13 and D-3 modes.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Remanufacturing Technology for the Catalyzed Diesel Particulate Filter-trap(DPF) Deactivated by Diesel Exhaust Gas (촉매가 담지된 사용후 경유차 매연저감장치 DPF의 재제조 효과에 관한연구)

  • The deactivated catalyzed diesel particulate filter-trap (DPF) was remanufactured by ultrasonic wave treatment with various prepared solutions, followed by active component re-impregnation, and the emission control performance and surface properties of remanufactured DPF were studied at various remanufacturing conditions. The proper ultrasonic wave cleaning time at various prepared solutions and optimal re-impregnation amounts of active component for the best emission control performance of DPF were investigated and its performance tests were also carried out with various temperatures for the conversions of CO, THC (total hydrocarbon) and PM (particulate matter) by catalytic reaction test unit using bypass gas from the diesel engine dynamo system. It was found that the emission control performance of DPF remanufactured with the high-temperature air washing, ultrasonic wave cleaning at acid/base solutions and active component re-impregnation method was recovered to 95% level of its activity compared to that of the fresh DPF, which was caused by removing the deactivating materials from the surface of the DPF, through the analyses of performance test and their surface characterization by Optical microscope, EDX, ICP, TGA, and porosimeter.

Fuel Concentration Measurements by Laser Rayleigh Scattering (레이저 Rayleigh 산란을 이용한 연료농도 계측시 잡음원인과 대책)

  • In this study, a system to measure continuously the fuel concentration in a steady flow rig on the basis of Rayleigh scattering is presented. The system can be employed to measure both the temporal and the spatial distribution. Also, it is possible to calibrate the system for the measurement of accurate absolute concentration. Firstly, the system was tested at a calibration chamber for the determination of scattering cross section from propane, butane, acetylene, Freon-12 and Genetron 143a. After this, the system was adapted to a steady flow rig to measure the temporal and spatial fuel concentration. The rig is composed of cylinder head, intake manifold, injector, and transparent cylinder which can simulate internal combustion engine. To cope with the interference of Mie scattering, which is main obstacle of the measuring concentration with Rayleigh scattering, a hardware filter was installed for reducing the number density of particles. Furthermore a software filter was developed, which is based on the rise time and the time constant of the photomultiplier-amplifier system. In addition, background noisy was reduced by adjusting the optical array and applying the pin hall and beam trap. The results show that LRS can provide useful information about concentration field and the software filter is very effective method to remove Mie interference.

Characteristics of Simultaneous Removal of NOx and PM over a Hybrid System of LNT/DPF + SCR/DPF in a Single Cylinder Diesel Engine (단기통 디젤엔진에서 LNT/DPF + SCR/DPF 하이브리드 시스템의 NOx 및 PM 동시저감 특성)

  • The market demand for diesel engine tends to increase in general passenger cars as well as commercial vehicles because of its advantages. However, to meet the vehicle emissions regulation which will be more stringent in the future, it is necessary to plurally apply all after-treatment technologies such as diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), catalyzed diesel particulate filter (CDPF), lean NOx trap (LNT) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR), and so on. Accordingly, the exhaust after-treatment system for diesel vehicle requires the technology of minimizing the numbers of catalysts by integrating every individual catalysts. The purposes of this study is to develop hybrid exhaust after-treatment device system which simultaneously uses LNT/DPF and SCR/DPF catalyst concurrently reducing NOx and particulate matter (PM). As the results, the hybrid system with $NH_3$ generated at LNT/DPF working as a reducing agent of SCR/DPF catalyst, improving NOx conversion rate, was found to be more excellent in de-NOx performance than that in LNT/DPF alone system.

Study on Transient Analysis for Flow Characteristics in DPF (DPF의 유동특성에 관한 과도해석 연구)

  • Because real flow of engine exhaust is very hot and highly transient, it may cause thermal and inertial loads on catalyzed filters in DPF. Transient and detailed flow and thermal simulations are necessary in this field. To assess the importance of time dependent phenomena, typical cone-type configuration such as an underbody DPF is selected for steady and transient analysis. User defined functions of FLUENT by sinusoidal inlet velocities are written and integrated with main solver for realistic simulation. Also, 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines for 3,000 L class are considered for the dynamic exhaust effect of engine type. Key parameters to understanding of catalyst performance and durability issues such as flow uniformity index and peak velocity are investigated. Also, pressure drop for engine power are considered. From the simulation results for three different cases, proper approach is recommended.

  • The increasing numbers of automobiles keep causing air-pollution problems worse than ever. Nowadays, research on catalyst converter and filter trap as a modern technology is very active because PM is designated as a major cancer material and stringent regulations on this are necessary and required. This research emphasized on the development of Continuously Regenerating DPF technology which was the best particulate matters removing technology of current existing technology because of its superior comparability and high applicability. This experimental study has been conducted with equipped and unequipped a Continuously Regenerating DPF ona displacement 7,000cc diesel engine and compared in terms of engine performance and emission. To measure the emission, D-13 mode is applied and measured quantities of the exhaust gases, particularly in CO, HC, PM, and NOx. Therefore, this research is focused on engine performance and characteristics on exhaust emissions with the application of a Continuously Regenerating DPF in a heavy-duty diesel vehicle.

EffECTIVE PARTICULATES REDUCTION IN DIESEL ENGINES THROUGH THE USE OF FUEL CATALYSED PARTICULATE FILTERS

  • There is Increasing world-wide interest in diesel particulate filters (DPF) because of their proven effectiveness in reducing exhaust smoke and particulate emissions. Fine particulates have been linked to human health . DPF use requires a means to secure the bum-out of the accumulated soot, a process called regeneration. If this is not achieved, the engine cannot continue to operate. A number of techniques are available, but most are complex, expensive or have a high electrical demand. The use of fuel additives to catalyse soot bum-out potentially solves the problem of securing regeneration reliably and at low cost. Work on organo-metallic fuel additives has shown that certain metals combine to glove exceptional regeneration performance. Best performance was achieved with a combination of iron and strontium based compounds. Tests were carried out un a bed engine and on road vehicles, which demonstrated effective and reliable regeneration from a tow dose fuel additive, using a single passive DPF. No control valves, flow diverters. heaters or other devices were employed to assist regeneration. Independent particle size measurements showed that there were no harmful side effects from the use of the iron-strontium fuel additive.
