Synthesis and Characterization of SnO2 Thin Films Deposited by Plasma Enhanced Atomic Layer Deposition Using SnCl4 Precursor and Oxygen Plasma

  • Tin dioxide (SnO2) thin film is one of the most important n-type semiconducting materials having a high transparency and chemical stability. Due to their favorable properties, it has been widely used as a base materials in the transparent conducting substrates, gas sensors, and other various electronic applications. Up to now, SnO2 thin film has been extensively studied by a various deposition techniques such as RF magnetron sputtering, sol-gel process, a solution process, pulsed laser deposition (PLD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and atomic layer deposition (ALD) [1-6]. Among them, ALD or plasma-enhanced ALD (PEALD) has recently been focused in diverse applications due to its inherent capability for nanotechnologies. SnO2 thin films can be prepared by ALD or PEALD using halide precursors or using various metal-organic (MO) precursors. In the literature, there are many reports on the ALD and PEALD processes for depositing SnO2 thin films using MO precursors [7-8]. However, only ALD-SnO2 processes has been reported for halide precursors and PEALD-SnO2 process has not been reported yet. Herein, therefore, we report the first PEALD process of SnO2 thin films using SnCl4 and oxygen plasma. In this work, the growth kinetics of PEALD-SnO2 as well as their physical and chemical properties were systemically investigated. Moreover, some promising applications of this process will be shown at the end of presentation.

고난의 행군 시기 북한 기록영화에서 조형된 집단적 마음: <내조국 빛내리>를 중심으로 (Collective Minds Formed through North Korea's Documentary Films during the Arduous March Period: Focusing on < Let Us Hold High the Red Banner! >)

  • 현재적 관점이지만 북한은 고난의 행군이라는 체제 위기 상황을 극복했다. 충분히 체제가 전복될 수도 있었던 상황을 극복한 원동력은 무엇이었을까. 본 연구에서는 국가적 위기 상황에서 북한 당국이 집단적 마음을 형성시키기 위해 기록영화를 통해 어떤 전략을 취했는지를 살펴보고자 했다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 인민에게 영웅적 환타지의 주인공이 될 것을 강조하고 있다. 강한 정신력으로 고난을 돌파한 모범 사례들을 해답으로 제시한 것이다. 둘째, 패배주의를 경계하고 승리의식을 고취시키고 있다. 이미 닥쳐온 경제문제의 돌파구로 집단적 마음의 통합을 강조하고 있다. 셋째, 주민의 동질적 마음 형성에 역점을 두고 있다. 현재까지도 강조되고 있는 공산주의적 도덕성의 회복을 반복하고 있는 것이다. 집단적 마음이라는 것도 결국 사회적 경험으로 얻은 결과물이다. 북한은 기록영화를 통해 집단의식의 발현으로 비록 현실은 고단하지만, 고난의 행군을 낙원의 행군길로 전환시킬 것을 역설하고 있다.

태양전지를 활용한 노후 건축물 그린 리모델링 디자인 사례분석 연구 (Old building green remodeling design cases study analysis using solar cell)

  • 본 연구는 파리기후변화협약 이후 전 세계적으로 각광받고 있는 태양전지를 활용한 노후 건축물 그린 리모델링 디자인의 국내외 사례 분석을 바탕으로 향후 진행할 태양전지를 활용한 그린 리모델링 디자인 제안의 긍정적인 측면과 시사점을 확인하고자 하였다. 연구의 방법으로는 문헌연구를 바탕으로 이론적 고찰을 진행하였고, 이후 국내외 태양전지를 활용한 그린 리모델링 디자인의 사례를 조사·분석하였다. 그 결과 플렉서블한 특징을 통한 시공의 용이성, 박막전지의 투명도와 색상의 조절을 통한 심미적 효과, 자유로운 사이즈 제작으로 재료 낭비가 적은 경제적 효과, 외관의 직접 부착을 통한 건물과의 조화로운 측면을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 점을 토대로 박막 태양전지를 그린 리모델링 디자인에 활용하여 올 수 있는 기대효과와 유효성을 제시하고, 향후 진행할 태양전지를 활용한 노후 건축물 그린 리모델링 디자인 제안에 대한 방향성과 참고 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

복숭아의 환경기체조절포장을 위한 컴퓨터 모델링 (Computer Modeling of Modified Atmosphere Packaging of Peaches)

  • The aim of this study was to develop a model that could be used in the design of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for peaches. Respiratory data at 5, 10, $20^{\circ}C$ for peaches were gathered and altered for create useful respiration model. Packaging materials were conventional low density polyethylene and polypropylene with anti-fog, and anti-fungi treatments, and thickness was $30{\mu}m$ and $50{\mu}m$ each. Permeability tests were performed to find their oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapor transmission rate as increases in temperature. Test results were then converted to logarithm format for MAP modeling. The maximum rate of oxygen uptake increased with increasing temperature. Optimum gas composition in the package system for fruits were set according to literature and upper or lower limits of oxygen and dioxide established. To predict gas composition at certain storage time, weight of fruits, film thickness, film type, and other variables, respiration rate was studied at various storage conditions. The results of tests were used to calculate Cameron's model and converted to a cubic estimation equation. The validity of the model was tested experimentally by observing actual atmospheric changes inside packages. This result of study may be useful for designing dynamic gas exchange MAP systems for similar agricultural products.

Problems of Using Cyberdramaturgy in Modern Foreign Cinematography

  • The article is devoted to the actual problem of the use of digital technologies in modern cinema in developed countries. The purpose of the study is to identify the essence of the term "cyberdramaturgy" and the problems of its use in modern film production. The research methodology is based on a systematic approach and includes the methods of the general scientific group (analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction), as well as a number of special methods: the method of content analysis of scientific literature on the research topic; sociological survey method; as well as the method of statistical analysis. The results of the survey were analyzed using the Neural Designer program (a tool for advanced statistical analytics) and translated into a graphical diagram format for clarity of perception. Answers in 75 questionnaires were evaluated by the average score for six analysis criteria, which made it possible to bring all the calculations to a 10-point scale. As a result of the study, the author of the article concluded the following: directors believe that the use of cyber analogues of actors and backgrounds leads to the blurring of genres, the hybridization of cinema and animation; directors are also concerned about the problem of replacing the director himself with a special program. The writers are completely concerned with the problem of machine scripting with almost infinite variability beyond the human imagination. Directors-producers believe that the cyberdramaturgy development will lead to completely new standards of cinematic quality, sharply different from the traditional assessment of acting and scene setting, to the appreciation of 3D animation as the highest category in the art. Such innovations actually devalue all international cinematography awards, as cyberdrama reduces the value of cyberactors to zero. It is impossible to bail out an "Oscar" or a "Golden Globe" award for a digital double or a separate cyber model that is used in the film instead of the actors.

소설과 영화 속 '메피스토'의 사상성 미학 (The Aesthetics of Conviction in Novel and Film Mephisto)

  • 이 글은 클라우스 만(Klaus Mann)의 소설 『메피스토(Mephisto)』(1936)와 이슈트반 사보(István Szabó)의 영화 <메피스토>(1981)의 상호텍스트성을 살펴보고, 원형 콘텐츠(소설)에서 드러난 도식적인 사상성 미학(Gesinnungsästhetik)을 파생 콘텐츠(영화)에서 어떻게 수용하고, 또 극복하는지를 모색하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 흔히 사상성 미학은 독일의 제3제국 시절 예술가들의 국가사회주의에 대한 태도나 통일 이전 동독 예술가들의 체제에 대한 태도를 편파적인 도덕성의 잣대로 부정적인 평가를 할 때 적용된다. 『메피스토』도 그런 사상성 미학을 지니고 있어서, 클라우스 만의 대척점에 선 현실 속 실제 인물(구스타프 그륀트겐스)과 소설 속 허구 인물(헨드릭 회프겐) 사이의 유형적 유사성과 차이점을 시대 비평적으로 살펴보는 것도 의미가 있다고 여겨진다. 이때 상호텍스트성을 통하여 내재비평(內在批評)을 한다면 대척에 선 두 인물 사이에 미적 거리를 확보할 수 있다. 이러한 전제에 있어, 이슈트반 사보의 영상 미학은 원작의 도식주의를 벗어난 것으로 보인다. 소설과 영화에서 나타난 '메피스토'라는 사상성은 나치 시대 국가사회주의와 타협한-불가항력의 역사 앞에 굴복한-인물의 인식과 태도의 문제다. 클라우스 만은 메피스토 유형의 회프겐(현실의 그륀트겐스)을 망명문학(Exilliteratur)의 관점에서 '악으로 기우는 메피스토'라고 통렬히 비판하고 있다. 이때 비판을 통한 공격에는 풍자와 희화, 조롱, 패러디, 아이러니 등 다양한 표현 수단이 동원된다. 고발과 비판에 있어 자기반성이 없고 '유토피아적인 것(das Utopische)'도 배제되어 있어서 예술의 자유가 인격권을 침해하는 경향도 없지 않다. 이에 비교해 이슈트반 사보는 메피스토 유형의 회프겐을 수용함은 물론 햄릿 유형의 회프겐, 즉 '선으로, 악으로 기우는 파우스트'를 추가로 등장시켜 (단순한 선과 악의 이분법 잣대가 아닌) 악의 두 유형(메피스토의 악과 파우스트의 악)을 이원적으로 접근한다. 그렇다고 '메피스토와 햄릿(파우스트)'이 혼재된 유형의 인물을 연민의 대상으로만 바라보지 않는다. 훨씬 더 강화된 비극적 결말로서 사회적 책임을 추궁한다. 그래서 소설이 한 개인의 자서전에 가깝다면, 영화는 한 세대의 자서전에 가깝다. 소설과 영화에서 나타난 상호텍스트성의 아이러니로 인하여 메피스토의 사상성 미학은 역사관의 한계와 텍스트의 편중을 극복하였다. 역사가 개인이 넘어설 수 없는 거대한 '운명의 힘'이더라도 '삶의 가치'인 인간의 존엄성마저 부정할 수는 없기 때문에 가능한 일이다. 사상성의 문제는 비단 독일의 나치 시대에만 국한되지 않는다. 우리 근현대사를 관통하는 이데올로기와도 연상될 문제다. 우리에게 어떤 이분법의 잣대로 비판만 일삼기에는 역사의 뿌리가 너무 깊이 박혀 있어서, 역사와 개인의 관계에서만은 중립적인 관점이 필요하다. 이 글은 우리의 메피스토와 햄릿을 찾는데 실마리를 제공한다면 또 하나의 의의를 지닐 것이다.

영화와 공연에 나타난 탭 댄스 의상의 조형적 특성 (Formative Characteristics of Tap Dance Costume in Film and Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the formative characteristic of modern Tap dance costume according to its origin and kinds. For this purpose, the study explored the review of literature focusing on the historical back ground of Tap dance and investigated into the kinds of modern tap dance and the formative feature of the tap dance costume. Costumes of leading tap dancers in representative performances and movies are analyzed. The results are summarized as follows: The kinds of current tap dance could be categorized as three types of Jazz Tap Dance, Rhythm & Funk Tap Dance, Irish tap Dance as their development origin. The Tap dance widely distributed through the U.S. Hollywood movie, The Jazz Tap Dance costume was composed of magnificent and luxurious design applying the high fashion of the 1930s and 1950s in the male and female costumes. The U.S. Blacks' tap dance, Rhythm & Funk Tap costume had a close relation with resistant blacks' culture, and showing the type of free dressing not bound by previous tap dance dress. The Irish Tap Dance originated from Irish folk dance displayed the tap dance embroidered costume using the Irish traditional pattern. This study systemized the characteristic of the tap dance costume by kind, and explored the dress revealed at the tap dance as a symbolic system to the cultural zone where the dance is made.

현대 패션에 표현된 글래머 룩의 미적 가치 (A Study on the Aesthetic Value of Glamour Look Expressed in Fashion)

  • Glamour, which stands for attractive physical feature with certain mystique, has been recognized by its superficiality and ephemerality in recent postmodernist aesthetics. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive literature of glamour and to contemplate glamour look, thereby to establish the styles of glamour expressed in fashion. For such purposes, this thesis first provides the study on the glamour in design studies, film studies and feminist theories, and to inquire aesthetic values of glamour look, which has been reflected in fashion. The glamour expressed in the fashion design can be classified into the following six aesthetic values: luxury, excess, masquerade, appropriation, sensuality and decadence. (1) Luxury is an expression of expensiveness, ostentatiousness which can be achieved only after putting in extensive an elaborate handworks. (2) Excess is an expression of bigness, scalelessness or extreme abundance. (3) Masquerade, that is a technique of identity which deal with clothing as a metaphor, is an expression of mysterious attractiveness and theatricality. (4) Appropriation is an expression by way of taking something from different time and space. (5) Sensuality is an expression of indulgence of sexual pleasures. Lastly, (6) decadence implies eroticized violence and demoralization.

영화 사례분석을 통한 디지털 분장 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study of Digital Makeup Techniques, based on a Case Study of a Film)

  • Digital makeup(DM), depending upon computer graphic softwares, is applied to various fields, e.g. character works in movie and game industries and visual printouts in printing works. Focused on makeup field, DM is extremely conducive to developing, scientizing and informationalizing makeup patterns. Despite of unlimited potential of DM of which market size has been growing day by day, its practical use by domestic makeup experts and educators is much less active than expected as far, due to the lack of knowledge accumulation. The purpose of this study is to suggest some theoretical frameworks to generalize DM techniques and analyze two cases using the frames therefore support academicians' recent efforts to theorize DM techniques. The study 1) defines and categorizes the concepts of DM and DFX(digital special effect); 2) reviews the literature relevant to DM and generalizes the types and methods of DM techniques; 3) applies general frames to analyzing two movie cases, famous for their DM effects; 4) then suggests, based upon analytical results, some efficient ways for makeup experts to use DM techniques in practice. This study contributes to providing the theoretical grounds to conceptualize DM thus broadening makeup artists' interests in DM and awakening the scholarly concerns in cultural technology including DM.

노마드적 공간에서 나타나는 유연성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Expression Characteristics of Flexibility in Nomadic Space)

  • Recently, in the fields of fashion, advertisement, film, literature, philosophy, etc., the word, 'Nomad', is being used frequently across the overall society. The contemporary society is actively incorporating "nomadic thinking" as a new social phenomenon across the boundaries of conventional fields. This is not an exception in the field of space design. This study, via the contemporary nomadic thinking, examined the relationship between space design's application possibility as a new trend and flexible space; then categorized the characteristics of flexible space into flexibility, temporariness, changeability, and correlation; and then analyzed expression characteristics of flexible space. As for unrestricted expression of scene, it was recognized that separation of scene and space leads space to meet the needs of surrounding environment and users; formation of changeable space enables uses of space from various perspectives; and combining external factors (energy, media technologies) with space leads space to self-evolution. Space is perceived as an living organism that is flexibly corresponding, via realistic movement and virtual movement, to the indefinite, diversified thinking of the contemporary society. Therefore, this study illuminates that nomadic thinking has significance as basic thinking to predict development and characteristics of design thinking through understanding the contemporary society with the basic thinking system that has been inherent without restrictions of being fixed to the present, past, and future.
