고압터빈 노즐 압력면에서의 확장 형상 막냉각 홀 배열 최적설계 (Design Optimization of Fan-shaped Film Cooling Hole Array on Pressure Side Surface of High Pressure Turbine Nozzle)

  • In the present work, design optimization of film-cooling hole array on the pressure side of high pressure turbine nozzle was conducted. There are four rows of fan-shaped film cooling holes on the nozzle pressure side surface and each row has a straight array of holes in the spanwise direction for baseline model. For design optimization, hole distributions in streamwise and spanwise directions for three rows of holes except first row are parameterized as a 2nd-order shape function. Three-dimensional compressible RANS equations are used for flow and thermal analysis around the nozzle surface and optimization technique using Design of Experiment, Kriging surrogate model and Genetic Algorithm is used. The results shows that averaged adiabatic wall temperature at the whole nozzle surface decreases about 2.7% and averaged film cooling effectiveness at the pressure side of nozzle increased about 8.2%.

Effects of Corrosion Inhibitor on Corrosion of Al-based Alloys in Ethylene Glycol-Water Coolant Environment

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) as a corrosion inhibitor on the pitting corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys used in electric vehicle battery cooling systems within a mixture of ethylene glycol and water (EG-W) coolant. Potentiodynamic polarization testing revealed unstable passive film formation on the aluminum alloys in the absence of SDBS. However, the addition of SDBS resulted in a robust passive film, enhancing the pitting corrosion resistance across all examined alloys. Pitting corrosion was predominantly observed near intermetallic compounds in the presence of Cl? ions, which was attributed to galvanic interactions. Among tested alloys, A1040 demonstrated superior resistance due to its lower areal fraction of precipitates and donor density. The incorporation of SDBS inhibitors mitigated the overall pitting corrosion process by hindering Cl? ion penetration. These findings suggest that SDBS can significantly improve pitting corrosion resistance in aluminum alloys employed in battery coolant environments.

  • Turbulent jet in a crossflow, issuing from a row of holes on a convex surface of 90 .deg. bend duct, is predicted by a 3-dimensional numerical method. The Cartesian coordinate system in adopted in upstream and downstream tangents and the cylindrical polar coordinate system in curved region. The Reynolds stresses and heat fluxes are obtained from a standard k-e model in the core region and van Driest model in the vicinity of the wall. The governing equations are discretized by a finite volume method and solutions are obtained by a locally elliptic calculation procedure. Pressure and convective terms are treated by SIMPLE algorithm and hybrid scheme respectively. A vortex initially induced by the injected jet has been built up due to the interaction with the secondary flow caused by pressure gradient and centrifugal force. The vortex structure has a strong influence on the wall cooling effectiveness. Another vortex like horseshoe is formed in the vicinity of the injection hole and its strength is getting weak as it moves downward.

  • 본 연구에서는 막냉각되는 터빈블레이드에서의 열전달 계수를 측정하기 위하 여 열전달과 물질전달의 상사관계를 이용하였다.터빈블레이드의 선단을 다른 연구 에서와 마찬가지로 원봉으로 모사하였고, 원봉의 표면에 위치하고 있는 1열의 분사홀 로부터 제트가 분사될 때 분사홀 근처 및 그 하류에서의 물질 전달계수를 측정하기 위 해 나프탈렌승화법을 이용하였다. 분사홀 열의 위치를 정체점에서 하류방향으로 이 동시키면서, 물질전달계수의 변화를 연구하였고, 분사율(M=.rho.$_{j}$ U$_{j}$ /.rho.$_{\infty}$ U$_{\infty}$)의 영향도 고찰하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 막냉각되고 있는 수평평판에서 분사각도와 분사율의 변화가 열 전달계수에 미치는 영향을 주 연구대상으로 하였다. 열전달계수의 측정을 위하여 나 프탈렌 승화법을 이용하였고, 열전달 계수에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 유동장에 대한 이 해를 위해 슐리렌 광학계를 이용한 유동의 가시화 실험을 수행하였다. 분사각도는 Fig.1에서와 같이 y축 방향으로의 수직분사(case 1), 유동방향(x축방향)dp eogo 35˚ 경사진 분사(case 2), 그리고 유동의 직각방향(Z축)dp eogo 35˚경사진 분사(case 3) 등 3가지의 경우에 대해 실험하였고, 분사율은 0.5, 1.0, 1.8로 변화시켰다.

  • Effective way of cooking oil fire extinguishment is using water mist system which has cooling and smothering effects. Low pressure water mist system has advantage because it is compatible with existing sprinkler systems. To increase the effectiveness of low pressure water mist system, additives can be used which increase the momentum of water particle and the chemical effect. In this experiment, aqueous film forming form(AFFF) agent is used as additive and the effect of additive concentration and water pressure are experimented. For the extinguishment of cooking oil fire such as soybean and olive oils, AFFF agent is effective and can decrease the fire extinguishing time and water consumption.

Effect of Polyolic Plasticizers on Rheological and Thermal Properties of Zein Resins

  • Zein protein is one of the best biopolymer for edible film making and polyols are convenient plasticizers for biopolymers. Sorbitol, glycerol and manitol at three levels (0.5, 0.7, 1g/g of zein) were used as plasticizers. Rheological and thermal properties of zein resins were studied for determining their plasticization effectiveness. Sorbitol and glycerol had good plasticizing effects and could decrease viscoelastic modulus of zein resins considerably, but manitol was not as effective as them. Effects of plasticizers on thermal properties of resins were investigated by DSC at -100 to $150^{\circ}C$. No crystallization and melting peaks related to zein resin and plasticizers were observed. Thermograms showed that polyolic plasticizers and zein resin remained a homogeneous material throughout the cooling and heating cycles.

슬롯 분사가 있는 후향계단 유동장 분석을 위한 초음속풍동 설계 (Design of Supersonic Wind Tunnel for Analysis of Flow over a Backward Facing Step with Slot Injection)

  • 본 연구는 마하수 2.5의 초음속 영역에서 마하수 1.0의 슬롯 분사가 있는 후향계단 형상에 대한 유동장 특성을 분석하기 위하여 초음속풍동 시험부를 설계, 제작하였다. 비행체가 고속으로 움직일 때 공동 주위의 유동은 매우 복잡하여 수치해석 결과를 검증할 초음속풍동 시험 자료가 필요하기 때문에 기존의 2차원 대칭형 노즐을 아랫면이 평판인 비대칭형 노즐로 수정하였다. 특성곡선해법을 이용한 비점성 노즐을 설계하고, 시험을 통해 얻은 경계층 두께를 노즐에 반영하여 보정한 기법을 C 언어로 프로그래밍하여 얻은 결과를 수치해석 결과와 비교하여 검증하였다. 슬롯 분사 시 지속적인 유동장 변화 분석을 위한 초음속 유지시간 확보를 위해 저장탱크의 압력 변화에 따른 PID 제어프로그램 수정으로 초음속 유동 유지시간을 약 5초에서 약 6초로 1초 정도 연장하여 제어 효율을 향상하였고, 슬롯 분사가 있는 후향계단에서의 유동장 변화를 슐리렌장치로 가시화하여 복잡한 유동장 특성을 확인하였다. 향후 슬롯 분사의 속도와 유량, 유동장의 온도를 변화하여 공동에서의 막냉각 효과 분석을 위한 장비로 사용할 계획이다.
