  • Mock theta functions are the most interesting topic mentioned in Ramanujan's Lost Notebook, due to its emerging application in the field of Number theory, Quantum invariants theory and etc. In the present research articles we have made an attempt to develop continued fractions representation of all the existing Mock theta functions.

  • In this note we prove a functional central limit theorem for linearly positive quadrant dependent(LPQD) random fields, satisfying some assumption on covariances and the moment condition $\sup_{n \in \Zeta^d} E$\mid$S_n$\mid$^{2+\rho} < \infty$ for some $\rho > 0$. We also apply this notion to random measures.

  • In this note we investigate some properties of ${\beta}$-algebras and further relations with $B$-algebras. Especially, we show that if ($X$, -, +, 0) is a $B^*$-algebra, then ($X$, +) is a semigroup with identity 0. We discuss some constructions of linear ${\beta}$-algebras in a field $K$.

  • The Cayley-Bacharach theorem says that every cubic curve on an algebraically closed field that passes through a given 8 points must contain a fixed ninth point, counting multiplicities. Ren et al. introduced a concrete formula for the ninth point in terms of the 8 points [4]. We would like to consider a different approach to find the ninth point via the theory of truncated moment problems. Various connections between algebraic geometry and truncated moment problems have been discussed recently; thus, the main result of this note aims to observe an interplay between linear algebra, operator theory, and real algebraic geometry.

  • Let R be a one-dimensional Noetherian domain with quotient field K and T be the integral closure of R in K. In this note we prove that if the conductor ideal (R :K T) is a nonzero prime ideal, then every finitely generated reflexive (and hence finitely generated G-projective) R-module is isomorphic to a direct sum of some ideals.

  • Let $k$ be a real abelian field such that the conductor of every nontrivial character belonging to $k$ agrees with the conductor of $k$. Note that real quadratic fields satisfy this condition. For a prime $p$, let $k_{\infty}$ be the $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension of $k$. The aim of this paper is to produce a set of generators of the Tate cohomology group $\hat{H}^{-1}$ of the circular units of $k_n$, the $nth$ layer of the $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension of $k$, where $p$ is an odd prime. This result generalizes some earlier works which treated the case when $k$ is real quadratic field and used them to study ${\lambda}$-invariants of $k$.

  • The effects of slant interface in the hybrid specimen on the dynamic crack propagation behavior have been investigated using dynamic photoelasticity. The dynamic photoelasticity with the aid of Cranz-Shardin type high speed camera system is utilized to record the dynamic stress field around the dynamically propagating inclined interface crack tip in the three point bending specimens. The dynamic load is applied by a hammer dropped from 0.08m high without initial velocity. The dynamic crack propagation velocities and dynamic stresses field around the interface crack tips are investigated. Theoretical dynamic isochromatic fringe loops are compared with the experimental reults. It is interesting to note that the crack propagating velocity becomes comparable to the Rayleigh wave speed of the soft material of a specimen when slant angle decreases.

  • Let {$X_k;k{\in}N^d$} be centered and identically distributed random field which is asymptotically negative dependent in a certain case. In this note we prove that for $p{\alpha}$ > 1 and ${\alpha}$ > ${\frac{1}{2}}$ $E{\mid}X_1{\mid}^p(log^+{\mid}X_1{\mid}^{d-1})$ < ${\infty}$ if and only if ${\sum}_n{\mid}n{\mid}^{p{\alpha}-2}P$($max_{1{\leq}k{\leq}n{\mid}S_k{\mid}}$ > ${\epsilon}{\mid}n{\mid}$) < ${\infty}$ for all ${\epsilon}$ > 0, where log$^+$x = max{1,log x}.

  • By definition of RFC 2018, each segments block of data queued at the data receiver is defined in the SACK option by two 32-bit unsigned integers in network byte order. Since TCP Options field has a 40-byte maximum length, when error bursts occur we note that the limitation of maximum available option space may not be sufficient to report all blocks present in the receiver's queue and lead to unnecessarily force the TCP sender to retransmit packets that have actually been received but not carried related information in SACK option field. For overcoming this restriction, in this paper, a new solution is designed to further improve the performance of TCP SACK and prevent those unwanted retransmissions. Simulation result shows that the implementation of our proposal is effective.

  • Let 𝔽q be a finite field with odd q elements. In this article, we prove that if E ⊆ 𝔽dq, d ≥ 2, and |E| ≥ q, then there exists a set Y ⊆ 𝔽dq with |Y| ~ qd such that for all y ∈ Y, the number of distances between the point y and the set E is ~ q. As a corollary, we obtain that for each set E ⊆ 𝔽dq with |E| ≥ q, there exists a set Y ⊆ 𝔽dq with |Y| ~ qd so that any set E ∪ {y} with y ∈ Y determines a positive proportion of all possible distances. The averaging argument and the pigeonhole principle play a crucial role in proving our results.
