The purpose of this study is to improve the academy sports field for the establishment of advanced sports culture. This study used qualitative research. The research participants were baseball players for 11 years and have been professional baseball players. Another study participant has been a soccer player for eight years. And he has been a football coach for 13 years. The results of this study are as follows. First, the act of entertaining was the form in which parents served sports leaders meals and alcohol. Parents' student athletes had increased chances of playing in the game and were able to receive faithful guidance. Second, the student athletes whose parents did not act of entertaining to the sports leader were discriminated against. The student athletes were harassed by their leaders, their positions changed, and their chances of playing were reduced. Third, parents' student athletes who did not act of entertaining to their leaders either stopped exercising or moved to another school because of discrimination. Eventually, the entertainment culture of academy sports acted as a mechanism to induce sports de-socialization of student athletes, and made students experience a negative aspect of sports culture. As a result, the entertainment culture of academy sports caused discriminatory treatment due to economic inequality. Therefore, the negative entertainment culture of academy sports should be eradicated for the establishment of advanced sports culture.
This study was conducted to investigate the running motion in the max-velocity phase(150-160m) and the fatigue phase(350-360m) during 400m sprint by performed elementary school athletes. Eighteen elementary school male athletes who achieved at least the 3rd place in the sprint at the Korea Gangwon-Do elementary school track and field meetings during 2004 and 2005 were selected as subjects. The running motions performed by the subjects were recorded using two 8mm high speed cameras at the nominal speed of 100 frames per second. The Direct Linear Transformation technique was adopted from the beginning of filming to the final stage of data extraction. KWON 3D motion analysis package program was used to compute the 3 Dimensional coordinates, smoothing factor in which lowpass filtering method was used and cutoff frequency was 6.0 Hz. The movement patterns during foot touchdown and takeoff for the running stride were related with the biomechanical consideration. Within the limitations of this study it is concluded: In order to increase running velocity, several conditions must be fullfilled at the instant of leg touchdown and takeoff during the fatigue phase(350-360m). First, the body C.O.G(Center of Gravity) height should be raised at the instant of leg touchdown and takeoff during the fatigue phase. Second, the foot contact time should be shortened and the takeoff distance should be increased at the foot takeoff during the fatigue phase. Third, the shank angular velocity with respect to a transverse axis through the center of gravity should be increased during the leg touchdown and takeoff in the fatigue phase. Forth, the active landing style described as clawing the ground with the sole of the foot should be performed during the leg touchdown and takeoff in the fatigue phase) phase. Fifth, In order to increase running velocity in the fatigue phase while taking a slightly greater leg knee angle and body lean angle within the range of the subject's running motion during the fatigue phase would result in greater flight distance.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the reality of verbal violence by leaders in the sports field to inform the seriousness of the damage suffered by athletes and to prepare a starting point for social interest and intervention. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with seven players who experienced verbal violence by the leader, and a qualitative case study method was adopted for a multifaceted analysis of verbal violence. As a result, 14 detailed areas and 5 categories were derived. Taken together, the verbal violence of the leader experienced by the players occurred in ambiguous, repetitive, and closed situations and had a structure of passive response. Since verbal violence affects the victim's personal and social problems without leaving evidence against trauma or perpetrators, a close understanding of the atmosphere and environment of the site is considered essential for preparing fundamental measures. Based on the results of these case studies, attention and intervention should be urged through understanding of secretly conducted verbal violence, and close policies should be prepared to supplement the blind spots of verbal violence.
This study aims to develop an educational program of sport ethics which would enhance moral autonomy on the part of athletes. First, based on James Rest's Four Component Model of moral behavior, this study has analyzed prior studies and built educational contents. Then, it used dilemma discussions among peers for disequilibrium of cognitive structure. Last, this program has been tested and proven by college students who were thoroughly interviewed afterwards. After joining the program, the student-athletes showed a positive change of thought and action in relation to sport ethics. I hope that this study will contribute to enlarging the field of sport ethics education.

The aim of this study was to verify the theoretical relationship between sports ability beliefs, achievement goal orientation, exercise flow, and athletic performance in college golf athletes. The results of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 18.0 and Analysis of MOment Structures (AMOS) 18.0 performed on the data collected from 211 participants are as follows. First, hypothesis testing showed that college golf athletes with incremental beliefs set task-oriented goals (C.R.=3.780, p<.001). Second, the task-oriented goals (C.R.=4,082, p<.001) and ego-oriented goals (C.R.=3.819, p<.001) in achievement goal orientation raised the level of flow during golf. Third, in achieving goal orientation, only task orientation led to a higher perceived level of golf performance (C.R.=3.020, p<.01). Fourth, a higher level of flow led to higher levels of golf performance (C.R.=4.642, p<.001). Other sub-factors were not statistically significant in the current study. These results could be applied in the field of sports as they show what results can be achieved depending on the athlete's belief in their sports ability.
The purpose of this study was to review the effects of the physical fatigue induced by overtraining on cognitive information processing and emotional change of athletes by neurophysiologic study. And to provide basic data for the athletes and coaches in the sports field to improve understanding of the overtraining symptoms from the brain physiological point of view. We reviewed the domestic and international academic materials and research reports published in the last 20 years using electronic databases and examined the literature that is consistent with the purpose of this study among the retrieved documents. Based on the reviewed literature, we examined the cognitive information processing and emotional change of the athlete according to the training, and overtraining can accumulate the fatigue of the body, which can cause severe side effects in terms of cognitive ability and emotional ability of athletes as well as deterioration of performance. The study using P300 and EEG cerebral hemispheric asymmetry difference indices also confirmed the possibility of a new approach to understand psychological and physiological effects of overtraining on information processing and emotional changes.
This study aimed to present a realistic policy direction to reduce human rights violations by analyzing the mechanisms of its factors affecting the experience of human rights violations for middle and high school student athletes. The method analyzed the response data of 13,205 student athletes through a structured questionnaire using logistic regression analysis. The independent variable consisted of sexual violence, sexual shame, physical violence, verbal violence, bullying, invasion of privacy and learning rights, and unfair leaders' actions related to exercise. As a result of the analysis, first, the team atmosphere, human rights consciousness in their sports and in the sports field were found to have a significant influence on physical and language violence, bullying, privacy and infringement of learning rights. Second, for the experience of sexual violence, the team atmosphere and the level of awareness of human rights violations in the sports community had a significant effect, but the permission of violence in the sports community and human rights consciousness in their sports did not appear as meaningful variables. Third, it was found that the unfair experience related to exercise had a significant effect on the team atmosphere, the overall level of violence in the sports community, and the its awareness of human rights violations in the sports community.

The total number of the project members was 20, including the members of the Scientific Committee, the Korean Society of Sport Biomechanics(KSSB) and graduate students as assistants. The objective of this project has been to analyze the performance in the track events(100 m, 110 mH) and field events(Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, Javelin Throw and Shot Put). This project was focused on the biomechanical research only. This kind of analysis has been carried out at major competitions for more than a decade, as it provides coaches and athletes with very useful information as an aid to training programmes and competition preparation. The biomechanical analysis of the top athletes in the world in each specialty serves as a reference for assessing technique and rationalizing the results achieved. The results will be disseminated world-wide and coaches will be in a better position to design training strategies in line with current world trends.
