  • A unique ensemble of datasets is available for the AKARI North Ecliptic Pole (NEP) field, having being observed virtually across the whole electromagnetic spectrum. We have undertaken a study of radio sources in the NEP field and in particular radio-loud AGN. We present preliminary results concerning the identification of these radio-loud AGN using a host of different selection criteria. We aim to study the host galaxies of these systems within the current framework of galaxy evolution and the role that AGN play in it.

  • This study is numerical procedure of strengthening capacity in a field structure and compare analysis data with test data. Recently, many strengthening methods are developed and used to rehabilitate existing structure. However, both theoretical background and applying techniques are not established yet. One of the most popular method is plate bonding method using either steel plate or carbon plate. This theoretical background and applying techniques are very important and those applications are differed when applied in field strengthening cases. Also depending on the analysis out come, displacement increased based n the condition of members while reaching ultimate load or failure load.

  • For global electronic market, several market place standards are developing now. Though, a standard is different from others they are pursuing the same purpose of uniworld market. In this study, two standards(ebXML and UDDI) which are most strong enough to urge field engineers to consider the standards in making their products were focused. Additionally, the development priorities of ebXML which were viewed from field engineers were summarized. Finally, government actions required by field engineers to promote the development of global market place were summarized.

Temperature-dependent multi-phase-lags theory on a magneto-thermoelastic medium with microtemperatures

  • A temperature-dependent generalized thermoelasticity is constructed in the context of a new consideration of the multi-phase-lags model. The theory is then adopted to study wave propagation in anisotropic homogenous generalized magneto-thermoelastic medium under the influence of gravity whose boundary is subjected to thermal and mechanical loading. The basic equations of the problem are solved by using normal mode analysis. The numerical quantities of physical interest are obtained and depicted graphically. Some comparisons of the results are shown in figures to study the effects of the magnetic field, temperature discrepancy, and the gravity field.

  • Numerical simulations are carried out for the liquid encapsulant Czochralski(LEC) by imposing a magnetic field. The use of a magnetic field to the crystal growth is to suppress melt convection and to improve the homogeneity of the crystal. In the present numerical investigation, we focus on the range of 0-0.3Tesla strength for the axial and cusped magnetic field and the effect of the magnetic field on the melt-crystal interface, flow field and temperature distribution which are the major factors to determine the quality of the single crystal are of particular interest. For both axial and cusped magnetic field, increase of the magnetic field strength causes a more convex interface to the crystal. In general, the flow is weakened by the application of magnetic field so that the shape of the melt-crystal interface and the transport phenomena are affected by the change of the flow and temperature field.

  • For the combination of MRI and magnetic particle hyperthermia(MPH), we investigated the relative heating efficiency with respect to the strength of the static magnetic field under which the magnetic nanoparticles are to be heated by RF magnetic field. We performed nanoparticle heating experiments at the fringe field of 3T MRI magnet with applying the RF magnetic field perpendicularly to the static magnetic field. The static field strengths were 0T, 0.1T, 0.2T, and 0.3T. To prevent the coil heat from conducting to the nanoparticle suspension, we cooled the heating solenoid coil with temperature-controlled water with applying heat insulators between the solenoid coil and the nanoparticle container. We observed significant decrease of heat generation, up to 6% at 0.3T(100% at 0T), due to the magnetic saturation of the nanoparticles of 15 nm diameter under the static field. We think MPH is still feasible at low magnetic field lower than 0.3T if stronger RF magnetic field generation is permitted.

  • Tonelli-Shanks 알고리즘을 변형한 새로운 알고리즘을 통해 효율적으로 제곱근 및 세제곱근을 찾을 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 이 논문에서 소개하는 제곱근을 찾는 알고리즘은 Number Field Sieve에 응용할 수 있다. 큰 합성수를 인수분해하는데 가장 효율적인 알고리즘으로 알려진 Number Field Sieve (NFS)는 법 N에 대하여 공통근을 갖는 두 다항식 선택한 후에, sieving, linear algebra, square root 단계를 차례대로 거친다. NFS의 마지막 단계에서는 수체(Number Field)상에서 제곱근을 구하는 과정이 필요한데 이를 유한체(Finite Field)상으로 내려서 계산한 후 CRT(Chinese Remainder Theorem)을 이용하여 수체 상에서의 제곱근으로 복원하는 과정에서 제안된 알고리즘이 사용될 수 있다.

  • Purpose - This study is the first field study about the insurance market in North Korea. By analysing the information and the data collected from the visit to North Korea, we introduced the most recent change on the insurance market in North Korea and analyzed the impact of the change of economic policy on the insurance market. This study may enhance the understanding the current situation and provide expectations on the future of the insurance market in North Korea. Design/methodology/approach - This study is based on the field study doen in 2018 to Pyeong Yang, the capital of North Korea, The most information was collected from the legal documents, news papers and academic reports. Findings - During his regime from the year of 2012, Kim Jong Eun, the Supreme Leader of North Korea, initiated the drastic change in economic renovation policy in North Korea by shifting the economic system from the commodity economy to the market economy. Due to the policy, the insurance market in North Korea became marginally privatized and the market of life insurance contracts is expected to be increased if North Korea may resolve the political conflicts between North Korea and the United States and its allies in Asia mainly due to its nuclear testing. Research implications or Originality - Until now, very few studies have been done regarding the financial market in North Korea, especially about the insurance market. Our study provides unique information on the insurance market in North Korea because all the information and its implications are based on the field study in 2018.
