A Web-based Practice System for Engineering Accounting by Problem-based Learning Model (문제기반학습모형에 근거한 공학회계의 웹기반 실습시스템 개발)

  • This paper deals with how to apply PBL(Problem-based learning model) model to interdisciplinary field such as engineering accounting. The PBL approach can provide a solution about educational issue for engineering accounting with a systematic view. A web-based practice system, which is a core element of PBL model and a learning object and practical exercise for engineering students, is developed.

  • Although most of Korean PT professors and clinical lecturers has been thought the importance of the PT student's clinical practice, there has got a lot of training problems in clinical field. As the result, of our survey study pointed out trouble of the (1) training duration (2) training credits (3) training evaluation (4) training workbook (5) training fee (6) training hospital numbers and (7) training quality etc, in Korean today's situation. So we suggest the Internship-training system for above half a year after student has got a PT licence, as a desired training model.

  • This paper introduces computer based practice for engineering education through using NI-ELVIS and virtual instruments of LabVIEW as application software. Different laboratory experiments "Labs" will be presented as convenient paradigms of adopting computer based practice for the efficacy of engineering education. Remote labs as web/internet or network-enabled controlled by remote server computer have been extensively used by a number of universities, national laboratories and companies for different kind of application around the globe. Overtime, as technology proceed in its progress, more developed techniques are being used particularly in the field of engineering education.

  • Now these days, many technical concepts and tools have been developed in the cryptographic field. Most digital signature schemes used in practice, such as RSA or DSA, have an important role in information privacy and secure authentication for perfect user. A clearly advantage of such schemes over with security proven relative to such common cryptographic assumptions, is their efficiency: as a result of their relative weak requirements regarding computation, bandwidth and storage, these scheme have so far beaten proven secure schemes in practice. Our aim is to contribute to bridge the gap that exists between the theory and practice of digital signature schemes. In this paper we present a digital signature that ensures information privacy. More precisely, under an appropriate assumption about RSA, the scheme is proven to be existentially forgeable under adaptively chosen message attacks. This mechanism can be applied to smart cards or E-Wallet for maintaining secure authentication for user’s information privacy.

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify variables affecting time management practice and the relationship between the practice and academic achievement of middle school students. Questionnaires including a time management scale were used for this study and the survey data were taken from 352 middle school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The statistical methods for the analysis were frequency, percentage, average, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation. The variables affecting student time management were gender, their standard of living, parental educational level and parental occupation. Religion and residential area were indicated as variables affecting several subscales of time management but the academic year of student had no effect on student time management behavior. The relationship between time management and the academic achievement of middle school students was slightly positive. Developing programs for time management in the field of family resource management is also necessary.

치과의원에서 발생하는 의료사고와 의료분쟁의 원인과 예방대책

  • Currently medical accidents suits are growing with increase of concern to oral health and dental office utility. Nevertheless this increase of medical accidents suits, the study on their cures are few. The purpose of this study was to investigate causes and preventive methods using case study of medical accidents. Cases were collected by the interview with dental practitioners in dental office. Collected cases were classified to seven fields of dental practice, four steps of dental practice, several causes, and methods of solution. Medical accident cases in field of oral and maxillofacial surgery were 58 cases, 53.4%. The accident cases in dental care step of dental practice were 78 cases, 70.3%. Also technical insufficiency and carelessness of dental practitioner during dental care were 26 cases, and 25 cases, 56 cases were solveded by reconciliation between dental patient and dentist.

  • Purpose : To provide a convenient framework for PNF practice, we reviewed the relationship between ICF framework and PNF framework. Methods : We reviewed literatures related with ICF and PNF. Results : ICF model is useful tool for physical therapist who is working in PNF to identify the interactions the components of individual's health, especially the relationship between functioning and disability. A framework for PNF is philosophy which included the concept, functional approach. It is essential to identify primary activity limitation and causal impairment in PNF field and evaluate the their relationship. The ICF model can be used to classify the examination information. Next step is to prioritize the activity limitation and then evaluate the interrelationships among each components of the ICF framework. Conclusions : ICF model guides physical therapist in PNF practice to identify patient problems and evaluate the interrelationship of components of their health. This model is logical framework to directs functional approach as PNF philosophy to be approached the goal.

The development of an augmented reality prototype in dental practice management (치과의료관리 영역에서 증강현실의 프로토타입 개발)

  • With the advancement of information technology, the application of augmented reality (AR) in dentistry is an emerging research field of image-guided surgery and dental education. In addition, the digital approach to incorporating AR in dental practice management is considered to be feasible. A prototype is developed to apply AR to dental daily clinical practice in order to help dentists to access electronic dental records. This prototype delivers patients' information and related clinical data to dental clinicians directly without the need to search for the appropriate patients. Wearable AR devices are considered to be a convenient tool for practicing dentists because dental practitioners are not always able to use a computer during active clinical sessions, such as implant placement, root canal treatment, and patient-doctor communication. The use of AR to visualize passive transferred patient data would be valuable for practicing dentists.

  • Bridging traditional experts' disciplinary boundaries is important for nuclear knowledge management systems. However, expert competences are often described in unstructured texts and require substantial human effort to link related competences across disciplines. The purpose of this research is to develop and evaluate a natural language processing approach, based on Latent Semantic Analysis, to enable the automatic linking of related competences across different disciplines and communities of practice. With datasets of unstructured texts as input training data, our results show that the algorithm can readily identify nuclear domain-specific semantic links between words and concepts. We discuss how our results can be utilized to generate a quantitative network of links between competences across disciplines, thus acting as an enabler for identifying and bridging communities of practice, in nuclear and beyond.

A study on the reorganization of the curriculum for produce of field-oriented dental technicians (현장중심형 치과기공사 배출을 위한 교육과정 개편 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The objectives of this study is to collect the opinions of experts in the field of dental lab technology, and to present a plan for reforming the curriculum for producing clinical-based dental technicians. Methods: 71 experts were selected for this study. Experts were grouped into clinicians, educators, and policy-makers. First of all, the purpose and method of this study were explained to experts. After receiving the consent to participate in the research, their opinions were investigated. The survey was conducted through a questionnaire created based on their opinions and opinions collected. Results: The results showed that they were relatively satisfied with the curriculum. In addition, it was found that they hope to increase the proportion of mandatory education of digital dentistry and clinical practice. Emphasis was placed on expanding opportunities for on-the-job training as well as on time for hands-on training. As for admission capacity, the highest opinion was to keep it as it is, followed by the need for reduction. Conclusion: It seems necessary to minimize the difference between the curriculum and the clinical field in order to produce field-oriented dental technicians. To this end, it is necessary to reorganize the operation of field-oriented subjects and to increase the practice time to improve practical skills.
