문헌정보학에 있어서의 실험적 연구 방법 (Experimental Method in Library and Information Science Research)

  • The experimental method, when carried out properly, is the most powerful way of seeking answers to research questions. The purpose of this study is to provide practical and theoretical insights as well as to discuss technical skills needed to design and implement the experimental research in library and information science. The levels of empirical research methods, the logic and types of the experimental designs, the application status of the experimental methods through content analysis of the published papers, and strategies to plan the research and to collect and analyze data are examined. This study also brings suggestions how experimental research can be made more meaningful and puts emphasis on the need of the research method education in library and information science field.

Development and evaluation of a pediatric nursing competency-building program for nursing students in South Korea: a quasi-experimental study

  • Purpose: The present study aimed to develop and examine the effectiveness of a pediatric nursing competency-building program for nursing students. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design conducted between October and December 2021. The participants included 40 nursing students (20 each in the experimental and control groups) at a university in a South Korean city. The pediatric nursing competency-building program integrated problem-based learning and simulation into clinical field practice. The experimental group participated in the program, while the control group did not. Data were analyzed using the 𝑥2 test, the independent t-test, and repeated-measures analysis of variance. Results: Pediatric nursing competency and clinical performance showed a greater increase in the experimental group than in the control group. However, the change in problem-solving ability in the experimental group was not significantly different from that in the control group. Conclusion: The pediatric nursing competency-building program effectively improved students' pediatric nursing competency and clinical performance.

섬유근통에 대한 국내 임상 연구 동향 및 중재 방향 (Korean Domestic Trends of Clinical Research and Direction of Intervention for Fibromyalgia)

  • Objectives The purpose of this review was to analyze the trend of clinical research related to fibromyalgia and to suggest the direction of intervention Methods We reviewed the clinical research by searching seven Korean web databases and classified the studies by the year of publication, academic field, and study design. Results A total of 75 clinical studies were selected. Except for 2002, more than one study was annually published; however, the number was below 10. In the academic field, there were 34 in the medical field, 21 in the Korean medicine field, and 15 in the nursing science field. By study design, there were 62 observational studies, mostly case reports and case-control studies. There were 13 experimental studies, including non-random control studies and one group pre and post-test design studies. Conclusions Fibromyalgia-related clinical research requires a greater number of studies, and a study design with a high level of evidence should be conducted along with various observational and intervention studies. Additionally, multidisciplinary and integrated intervention plans and research are needed.

  • Due to global warming, the need to secure an alternative resource has become more important nationally. Due to the high tidal range of up to 9.7m on the west coast of Korea, numerous tidal current projects are being planned and constructed. The rotor, which initially converts the energy, is a very important component because it affects the efficiency of the entire system, and its performance is determined by various design variables. In this paper, a design guideline of current generating HAT rotor and acceptable field rotor in offshore environment is proposed. To design HAT rotor model, wind mill rotor design principles and turbine theories were applied based on a field HAT rotor experimental data. To verify the compatibility of the rotor design method and to analyze the properties of design factors, 3D CFD model was designed and analysed by ANSYS CFX. The analysis results and findings are summarized in the paper.

한국실내디자인 학회지에 게재된 논문의 연구경향 (A Study on the Research Tendency of the Theses in the KIID Journal)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the tendency of 272 theses which published in the Korean institute of interior design journal from 1992.4 to 1999.6. The major finding were summarized as follows; 1) The subjects of the these in the journal were mostly related to design solution or design theory. Therefore, more theses for design history or human behavior are needed for the future. 2) The purposes of the these in the journal were classified into two groups, first; grasp and investigation of the phenomenon in the design or design related theory, second; suggestion of problem solving ideas in the design or design related study. There were 6 categories in each group and the diversified research purpose in the theses is very desirable trend for the future development in interior design studies or industry. 3) The research methods of the theses in the journal were literature research, experimental research, survey research and design research. The data collection methods in the KIID journal is similar to the that of field, natural science or social science.

열원이 존재하는 작업장내 기류 및 온도장 예측 (Prediction of Airflow and Temperature Field in a Room With Convective Heat Source)

  • A CFD simulation of airflow and temperature field in a heated room has been described in this paper. The thermal wall jet created by a radiator greatly influences the airflow pattern, temperature distribution. The area close La a heat source has a higher risk of air-borne contamination and imposes a harmful effect on occupants in that area. The predicted flow field, temperature results show good agreement with the measured data. As the results were compared with experimental data, the applicability of CFD was satisfactorily verified. Also, the CFD simulation can capture the natural convective flow features. If a CFD simulation is applied ventilation design with a heat source, An effective design will be attained. Further study is required to improve the accuracy of CFD simulation.

롱 스트로크 정밀 스테이지용 원통형 리니어모터의 설계 및 운전 특성 (Design and Operating Characteristics of Cylindrical Linear Motor for Long Stroke Precision Stage)

  • This paper presents the design and operating characteristics of the novel cylindrical linear motor which is designed for the long stroke XY stage. In the long stroke structure, the air gap is changed by the distortion and bending effects, and it makes additional position error in the XY stage. In order to consider the distortion and bending effects of the long stroke, the field part of the cylindrical linear motor is designed as an open structure, and the stroke is supported by the bridge guide which is positioned in the open field part. The mechanical bridge guide can reduce the bending effects of the stroke and can keep a constant air gap. The detailed design process of the proposed cylindrical linear motor is presented in this paper. The proposed motor is analyzed by the 3D FEM technology. The practical XY stage which uses the proposed motor is tested to verify the propose novel cylindrical linear motor. The FEM and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed motor.

  • In future superconducting electrical machines and device. AC loss in the superconducting windings are one of the most impotent design paramenters. This paper descriptions a series of Characteristic of a high-Tc superconducting Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O Ag-sheathed filament. In the case simulation and design to reduce ac loss is considered the filament number, twitch pith number and diameter of filament. A filament sample with Tc of 78K is made by $835^{\circ}C$ sintering for 50h and $0.33^{\circ}C$/min heating rate in an atmosphere. The experiment observations are compared with self-field loss and AC losses of Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O filament at 77K in following environments ; (i)AC external parallel magnetic field in different frequencies. And an analytical expression of the loss the derivation of transposition from an optimum condition was derived for the external AC magnetic field, theoretical predictions were found to coincide with the experimental observations.

  • Memphis originated from Radicalism in Italy came into being in 1981 as a experimental design group. Basically Memphis represented changed concept of design and the task of the designer by innovative design with unusual shapes and colors. What Memphis intended to demon-strate is the diversity of expression of design creativity and possibilities of new stimuli. As a result, Memphis has shown ways of redefining the field of design. In the 1990, the diversity of design movenment reflects the plualism of fragmented, specialized society. Design is faced with new task. It must do more than merely de-fine an object and its function. So from this point of view, this study interpretates ideas of Memphis design theory and attitude.

  • LINAC 뇌정위적 방사선 수술은 multiple noncoplanar arc, 3 차원 선량 계산 및 많은 조사 변수들이 사용되기 때문에 간단한 경우에도 최적 선량분포를 얻기 위해서는 많은 시간이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 실험적 방법과 분석적 방법을 통한 유용한 방법을 제시하기 위한 것으로서, 보다 자세한 방법 및 내용은 앞으로의 발표 논문에서 다루게 된다. 실험적 방법으로 2가지 방법에의하면, 첫번째 방법은 multiple isocenter를 이용하는 것이고, 두번째 방법은 beam's eye view와 field shaping을 이용한 conformal therapy이다. 분석적 방법은 최적 조사조건을 찾기 위하여 computer-aided design optimization 방법을 이용하는 것이다.
