An experimental investigation was carried out to study the strength and behavior of reinforced cement concrete (RCC) frames with ferrocement and fiber reinforced concrete infill panel. Seven numbers of $1/4^{th}$ scaled down model of one bay-three storey frames were tested under reverse cyclic loading. Ferrocement infilled frames and fiber reinforced concrete infilled frames with varying volume fraction of reinforcement in infill panels viz; 0.20%, 0.30%, and 0.40% were tested and compared with the bare frame. The experimental results indicate that the strength, stiffness and energy dissipation capacity of infilled frames were considerably improved when compared with the bare frame. In the case of infilled frames with equal volume fraction of reinforcement in infill panels, the strength and stiffness of frames with fiber reinforced concrete infill panels were slightly higher than those with ferrocement infill panels. Increase in volume fraction of reinforcement in the infill panels exhibited only marginal improvement in the strength and behavior of the infilled frames.

In this study, an effect of fiber blending on material property of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Concrete (HFRC) was evaluated. Also, Compare and evaluates collating and mechanical property by the mixing rate of fiber for HFRC was determine. Modulus of rupture and strength effectiveness of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Concrete mixed with macro-fiber(steel fiber) and micro-fiber(glass fiber, carbon fiber, cellulose fiber). Test result shows, in the case of mono fiber reinforced concrete. As the steel fiber mixing rate increases to 1.5$\%$, the strength effectiveness promotion rate rises. However, when is 2.0$\%$, strength decreases. In the case of hybrid fiber reinforcement concrete, synergy effect of micro fiber and macro fiber happens and higher Modulus of rupture and strength effectiveness appears than mono-fiber reinforcement concrete. Use of hybrid fiber reinforcement in concrete caused a significant influence on its fracture behavior; consequently, caused increase by mixing rate of steel fiber + carbon fiber and contributed by steel fiber + glass fiber, steel fiber + celluloid fiber in reinforcement effect in order. And was expose that steel fiber(1.5$\%$) + carbon fiber(0.5$\%$) is most suitable association.
Background: Fibers in concrete resist the growth of cracks and enhance the postcracking behavior of structures. The addition of fibers into a conventional reinforced concrete can improve the structural and functional performance of safety-related concrete structures in nuclear power plants. Methods: The influence of fibers on the ultimate internal pressure capacity of a prestressed concrete containment vessel (PCCV) was investigated through a comparison of the ultimate pressure capacities between conventional and fiber-reinforced PCCVs. Steel and polyamide fibers were used. The tension behaviors of conventional concrete and fiber-reinforced concrete specimens were investigated through uniaxial tension tests and their tension-stiffening models were obtained. Results: For a PCCV reinforced with 1% volume hooked-end steel fiber, the ultimate pressure capacity increased by approximately 12% in comparison with that for a conventional PCCV. For a PCCV reinforced with 1.5% volume polyamide fiber, an increase of approximately 3% was estimated for the ultimate pressure capacity. Conclusion: The ultimate pressure capacity can be greatly improved by introducing steel and polyamide fibers in a conventional reinforced concrete. Steel fibers are more effective at enhancing the containment performance of a PCCV than polyamide fibers. The fiber reinforcementwas shown to bemore effective at a high pressure loading and a lowprestress level.
PURPOSES : To evaluate the feasibility of cut waste fishing net as a reinforced fiber for concrete. METHODS : Strength characteristics of fiber reinforced concrete using waste fishing net were investigated. The cut waste fishing nets with 4~5cm length were putted into the soil-cement and cement concrete for pavement slab. RESULTS : Compression and tensile strength of fiber reinforced concrete using waste fishing net were increased. CONCLUSIONS : It was concluded that cut waste fishing net can be used as a reinforced fiber for cement concrete. However, sometimes using cut waste fishing net leads to decrease the strength; therefore, further researches are needed for real project.

Steel fiber reinforced concrete(SFRC) is a composite material possessing many physical and mechanical properties which are distinct from unreinforced concrete. The use of steel fiber reinforcement to improve the flexural and tensile strengths, extensibility and toughness of ordinary cement concrete is well known at present, but reinforcement of polymer concrete with steel fibers has been hardly reported untill now. The objective of this study was to improve the properties of the polymer concrete by addition of steel fibers. In this paper steel fiber reinforced polymer concrete is prepared with various steel fiber contents and aspect ratio($\ell$ /d), and their mechanical properties were investigated experimentally.

Fiber reinforcement can significantly improve the properties of concrete. Particulary, toughness or energy-absorbing ability of fiber reinforced concrete is frequently higher than that of unreinforced concrete. Toughness is a measure of energy absorption capacity and used to characterized fiber reinforced concrete's ability to resist fracture when subjected to static, dynamic and impact loads. However, the current standard methods of characterizing the toughness of fiber reinforced concrete have proven to be some inadequate and problems and have caused a great deal of dissent and confusion. This study research some of the inadequate and problems with these toughness measurement methods and proposes the evaluation method for Fiber Reinforced Concrete toughness.

In this paper, material property of fiber reinforced concrete(FRC) according to the steel fiber, glass fiber and carbon fiber blended ratio. The fiber reinforced concretes are increased mechanical strength, because the fibers are dispersed with randomly direction and disturb crack progression in concretes. Adhesive fracture is occurred slowly at interface between fiber and concrete, and the fracture energy is absorbed due to softening phenomenon.

Reinforced concrete structures using early age concrete were result in the degradation of structural performance due to crack, overload, unexpected vibration and impact load. It demands urgently that reinforced concrete structure using early age concrete should be improved the serviceability and structural performance with the application of new fiber materials. Therefore specimens, designed by the test varibles, such as with or without stirrup and percent of steel fiber incorporated, were constructed and tested to evaluate and develop the structural performance of reinforced steel fiber concrete beam. Based on the test results reported in this study, the following conclusions are made. Specimens, designed by the over 0.75% of steel fiber incorporated, were showed the ductile behavior and failed slowly with flexure and flexure-shear. Comparing with the load-displacement relationship of specimen BSS, designed by the recommendations of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, reinforced steel fiber concrete beam using early age concrete, over 0.75% of steel fiber incorporated, gets enough load carrying capacity and ductility. Increasing the percent of steel fiber incorporated(0.25~2.0%), the ultimate shear stress of each specimen were increased 12~40% than that of control specimen SSS.

This study is on the strength capacity and the strengthening effects of crarbon fiber sheets(CFS) and glass fiber sheets (GFS) on steel reinforced concrete(SRC) beams. SRC beams are often used on high-rise building construction to save story height and construction cost. However, there are no strengthening design code in Korea and most engineers design it as steel beams ignored the composite effect if reinforced concrete. Test results on steel reinforced concrete beams reveal thar the strength capacity of SRC beam is more than simple addition of steel and reinforced concrete beams. In case of steel reinforced concrete beams, ultimate moment capacity of strengthening beam of carbon fiber sheets is 120% of non-strengthening one.
This paper is concentrated on the behaviors of five different types of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) in uniaxial tension and flexural impact. The complete stress-strain responses in tension were acquired through a systematic experimental program. It was found that the tensile peak strains of concrete with micro polyethylene (PEF) fiber are about 18-31% higher than that of matrix concrete, those for composite with macro polypropylene fiber is 40-83% higher than that of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC). The fracture energy of composites with micro-fiber is 23-67% higher than that of matrix concrete; this for macro polypropylene fiber and steel fiber FRCs are about 150-210% and 270-320% larger than that of plain concrete respectively. Micro-fiber is more effective than macro-fiber for initial crack impact resistance; however, the failure impact resistance of macro-fiber is significantly larger than that of microfiber, especially macro-polypropylene-fiber.
