Magnetic materials with large coercive force and high squareness ratio are currently developing to meet an industrial demand. Since a ferromagnetic material has hysteresis characteristics, it is hard to demagnetize a ferromagnetic material precisely. In this paper, we describe deperm processes and conduct an analysis of residual magnetization of ferromagnetic material using the Preisach modeling with a two-dimensional finite elements method (FEM). From the results, it was shown that an exponential decrement form of deperm protocol is more efficient than a linear decrement form because of the demagnetizing field in the ferromagnetic material.

This paper presents characterization and analysis of integrated ferromagnetic inductors in RF regime. Two different materials (CoFe/NiFe) are used as ferromagnetic material. Systematic studies of the inductance (L), the Q-factor (Q) and the structure of the inductor have been performed.

For orthopedic artificial metal stainless steel, the magnetization of the magnetic field due to the presence of the titanium was to observe the change. Magnetic field meter (Tesla meters) a certain distance (ISO Centre) 1.5 Tesla magnetic field, the magnetization in the center with the passage of time were measured. Therefore, these artificial metal clip shape and magnetization of the sample size to produce a ferromagnetic material for comparison is the experimental dependence. For comparison of the experimental dependence of the magnetization, thereby producing a test piece size such as shaping prosthetic metal Clip is a ferromagnetic material. The experimental results, the metal orthopedic implants, there was no change in the magnetization indicated by ferromagnetic material in its natural state. However, in a magnetic field of 1.5T (Tesla), showed a sensitivity that is magnetized rapidly compared to the ferromagnetic material. In conclusion, high in the order of Clip, Stainless, of Titanium, the degree of dependence of the magnetization intensity of magnetization was the order Stainless, Titanium, of Clip in a magnetic field.

Based on first-principles calculations, we study the magnetic properties of Co, Ni, Fe, V, and Mn impurities in ZnO. The stabilities of the ferromagnetic state and the magnetic moment of each impurity largely depend on the amount of doped electron or hole. For lightly doped n-type ZnO, it is found that the doping of Ni ions is the most effective for inducing ferromagnetism, while Fe ions show the most stable ferromagnetic couplings for heavily doped n-type samples. The characteristics of the magnetic interactions of Co ions are similar with those of Fe ions, but Co ions require much larger amount of doped electron than Fe ions to show the ferromagnetic couplings. The ferromagnetic coupling between Mn and V ions is unstable in n-type conditions.
To obtain weight reduction and high performance, level set based topology optimization in magnetic fields is promising for the design of magnetic devices where the precise boundary shape and topological chanages are required. Level set function is introduced to represent ferromagnetic material boundaries and material properties of the magnetic reluctivity are determined. The optimization problem is formulated for maximizing the actuating force in a prescribed direction under limited usage of ferromagnetic material.
A model for predicting the characteristics of elastic ferromagnetic materials having a moving gap was presented. Based on the model parameters concerning behavior of material, such as the instantaneous field intensity, attractive force between the poles, length of gap, and the induced current/ emf in the circuit can be determined from the numerical integrations of the governing equations derived. From the results of the model it is found that when dc emf is imposed on the circuit the current sharply rise and fall for very short duration then stabilize at extremely low level which depends mainly on elasticity, permeabilities and ratio of resistivity. Subsequently output emf is shown stabilized at constant value which depends on the previous parameters as well as the resistivity ratio of primary to secondary circuit after sufficient progress of time.

Polycrystalline $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_2$ thin films on $SiO_2$ (200 nm)/Si (100) substrates were prepared using liquid-delivery metalorganic chemical vapor deposition. Microstructures and ferromagnetic properties were investigated as a function of doped Co concentration. Ferromagnetic behaviors of polycrystalline films were observed at room temperature, and the magnetic and structural properties strongly depended on the Co distribution, which varied widely with doped Co concentration. The annealed $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_2$ thin films with $x{\leq}0.05$ showed a homogeneous structure without any clusters, and pure ferromagnetic properties of thin films are only attributed to the $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_2$ (TCO) phases. On the other hand, in case of thin films above x=0.05, Co clusters formed in a homogeneous $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_2$ Phase, and the overall ferromagnetic (FM) properties depended on both $FM_{TCO}$ and $FM_{Co}$. Co clusters with about 10nm-150nm size decreased the value of Mr (the remanent magnetization) and increased the saturation magnetic field.
Differential equations governing dynamic behavior of toroid-shaped ferro-magnetic material having a small gap of uniform width were derived incorporating Maxwell equations of electromagnetic induction relevent to the system and Newtonian equation of motion. Once the external uniform magnetic field was applied within the material through dc-circuit around the toroid, gap begin to change which lead to the abrupt variation of field in the material and gap according to the differential equations already derived. Characteristics of current and electromotive force with respect to time in the circuit consisting of inductance and resistance in series could be predicted from numerical solutions of these equations. As current in the circuit increasesl, magnetic field in the material increases, thus, the gap starts to shrink due to increased attractive force between gap and elastic restoring force in the material. With an appropriate selection of elastic constant of toroidal ferromagnetic material and design of gap structure it is possible to obtain the specified in both linear and nonlinear magnetic characteristics, such as current dependent and independent inductance.

We investigated the fabrication and characteristics of the nitride-based spin-polarized LEDs with room-temperature ferromagnetic (Ga,Mn)N layer as a spin injection source. The (Ga,Mn)N thin films having room-temperature ferromagnetic ordering were found to exhibit the negative MR and anomalous Hall resistance up to room temperature, revealing the existence of spin-polarized electrons in (Ga,Mn)N films at room temperature. The electrical characteristics in the spin LEDs did not degraded in spite of the insertion of the (Ga,Mn)N layer into the LED structure. In EL spectra of the spin LEDs, it is confirmed that the devices produce intense EL emission at 7 K as well as room temperature. These results are expected to open up new opportunities to realize room-temperature operating semiconductor spintronic devices.

Multiferroics exhibiting the coexistence and a possible coupling of ferromagnetic and ferroelectric order are attracting widespread interest in terms of academic interests and possible applications. However, room-temperature single-phase multiferroics with soft ferromagnetic and displacive ferroelectric properties are still rare owing to the contradiction in the origin of ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity. In this study, we demonstrated that sizable ferromagnetic properties are induced in the ferroelectric bismuth ferrite-barium titanate system simply by introducing Co ions into the A-site. It is noted that all modified compositions exhibit well-saturated magnetic hysteresis loops at room temperature. Especially, 70Bi0.95Co0.05FeO3-30Ba0.95Co0.05TiO3 manifests noticeable ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties; the spontaneous polarization and the saturation magnetization are 42 µC/cm2 and 3.6 emu/g, respectively. We expect that our methodology will be widely used in the development of perovskite-structured multiferroic oxides.
