  • In this paper, we consider the stabilization of the viscoelastic wave equation with variable coefficients in a bounded domain with smooth boundary, subject to linear dissipative internal feedback with a delay. Our stabilization result is mainly based on the use of the Riemannian geometry methods and Lyapunov functional techniques.

  • Financial institutions survive on the ability to collect and react to data. Today´s financial community is bombarded by massive amounts of information from real time data-feeds, risk management systems, and other intelligent sources. The large quantities of numerical data are virtually impossible to understand quickly. Humans have the ability to understand pictures instantaneously. Thus, by converting data into pictures, and using colour, size, shape, and pattern to define relationships, individuals can rapidly process complex Information.

  • In this work, we investigate the existence of the extremal solutions for a class of fractional partial differential equations with order 1 < ${\alpha}$ < 2 by upper and lower solution method. Using the theory of Hausdorff measure of noncompactness, a series of results about the solutions to such differential equations is obtained.

  • In this paper, we prove that a gradient shrinking Ricci soliton is rigid if the radial curvature vanishes and the second order divergence of Bach tensor is non-positive. Moreover, we show that a complete non-compact gradient expanding Ricci soliton is rigid if the radial curvature vanishes, the Ricci curvature is nonnegative and the second order divergence of Bach tensor is nonnegative.

  • The Fifteen Theorem proved by Conway and Schneeberger is a criterion for positive definite quadratic forms over the rational integer ring to be universal. In this paper, we give a proof of an analogy of the Fifteen Theorem for definite quadratic forms over polynomial rings, which is known as the Four Conjecture proposed by Gerstein.
