리더의 피드백은 종업원의 창의적 문제해결 행동을 촉진시키는가? 종업원의 피드백 수용정도와 직무 복잡성의 3차항 상호작용효과 (When and How does Leader Feedback Promote Employee Creative Problem-solving Behavior? A Three-way Interaction Model of Employee Feedback Acceptance and Task Complexity)

  • Purpose: This paper investigates the effects of leader feedback on employee creative problem-solving behavior. It also explores the relevant conditions that maximize the above relationship from the psychological trait and task nature perspectives. Specifically we examine how employee feedback acceptance and task complexity moderate the relationship between leader's feedback behavior on follower creative problem-solving behavior. Finally the three-way interaction among leader's feedback behavior, employee feedback acceptance and task complexity is analyzed for the best conditions to maximize the positive effect of leader's feedback on creative problem solving behavior. Methods: This paper used a cross-sectional design with questionnaires administered to 411 employees working in Korean manufacturing and service firms. It applied a hierarchical regression analysis to test the hypothesized relationships including three-way interaction effect among leader's feedback behavior, follower feedback acceptance and task complexity on follower creative problem-solving behavior. Results: The empirical results of the paper indicated that the leader feedback behavior had enhanced employee creative problem-solving behavior. It was also found that follower feedback acceptance and task complexity positively moderated the relationship between leader's feedback and follower problem solving behavior. In addition, the test of three-way interaction effects also revealed that the higher the levels of both employee feedback acceptance and task complexity, the greater the positive effect of leader feedback behavior on employee creative problem solving behavior. Conclusion: This paper contributes to the leadership and creativity literatures by identifying the role of leader's behavior enhancing employee creative problem-solving behavior and the specific conditions strengthening the positive effect of leader feedback behavior on employee creative problem-solving behavior.

Adaptive States Feedback Control of Unknown Dynamics Systems Using Support Vector Machines

  • This paper proposes a very novel method which makes it possible that state feedback controller can be designed for unknown dynamic system with measurable states. This novel method uses the support vector machines (SVM) with its function approximation property. It works together with RLS (Recursive least-squares) algorithm. The RLS algorithm is used for the identification of input-output relationship. A virtual state space representation is derived from the relationship and the SVM makes the relationship between actual states and virtual states. A state feedback controller can be designed based on the virtual system and the SVM makes the controller with actual states. The results of this paper can give many opportunities that the state feedback control can be applied for unknown dynamic systems.

경쟁적 문제 해결 과정에서 피드백 순서와 문제 해결 경험 : 온라인 혁신 경진 대회의 실증 분석 (Feedback Order and Problem-Solving Experience in Competitive Problem-Solving : An Empirical Analysis of Online Innovation Contests)

  • This study suggests that as receiving feedback is moved back, the effectiveness of problem-solving increases. Utilizing data from innovation contests in which a number of problem solvers compete with each other, we answer questions such as whether the order of receiving first feedback affects problem-solving effectiveness and how problem-solving experience moderates the relationship between the first feedback order and problem-solving effectiveness. Empirical results based on data collected from Kaggle, an online platform for innovation contests, showed that the order that contest participants receive the first feedback increases problem-solving effectiveness. Furthermore, the more prior experience of contest participants accentuates the suggested relationship between the order of receiving the first feedback and problem-solving effectiveness.

How Does the Frequency of Instructor Feedback Affect Perceived Loafing and Team Performance in Team Project-Based Learning? A Moderated Mediation Approach

  • This study focuses on the instructor's role in student-centered learning and aims to test the effects and moderating role of instructor feedback on perceived loafing in team project-based learning. A conditional effect model including team efficacy, perceived loafing, instructor feedback, and team performance was proposed. Data were collected from students who registered for team project-based learning courses at a university in South Korea. A total of 420 cases were subjected to moderated mediation analysis. The results demonstrated that instructor feedback was negatively related to perceived loafing and moderated the relationship between team efficacy and perceived loafing. Furthermore, instructor feedback moderated the relationship between perceived loafing and team performance. In particular, even when perceived loafing was high, students who received frequent instructor feedback were found to significantly reduce the damage to team performance. Based on these findings, the importance of instructors' facilitation in team project-based learning is discussed.

  • This paper presents an adaptive feedback based actuator fault detection and tolerant control algorithms for longitudinal functional safety of autonomous driving. In order to ensure the functional safety of autonomous vehicles, fault detection and tolerant control algorithms are needed for sensors and actuators used for autonomous driving. In this study, adaptive feedback control algorithm to compute the longitudinal acceleration for autonomous driving has been developed based on relationship function using states. The relationship function has been designed using feedback gains and error states for adaptation rule design. The coefficients in the relationship function have been estimated using recursive least square with multiple forgetting factors. The MIT rule has been adopted to design the adaptation rule for feedback gains online. The stability analysis has been conducted based on Lyapunov direct method. The longitudinal acceleration computed by adaptive control algorithm has been compared to the actual acceleration for fault detection of actuators used for longitudinal autonomous driving.

팀 피드백 환경이 피드백 추구행동을 통해 업무성장활력과 팀 몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Team Feedback Environment on Thriving at Work and Team Commitment through Feedback-Seeking Behavior)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 환경적 요인으로서 팀 피드백 환경이 팀원들의 피드백 추구행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 더 나아가 업무성장활력과 팀 몰입에 미치는 영향에 대해 검증하는 것이다. 또한, 개인적 요인으로서 팀원들의 자기효능감이 팀 피드백 환경 내에서 피드백 추구행동에 미치는 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 201명의 직장인들로부터 설문자료를 수집하였고, 상관관계분석과 위계적 회귀분석, 조절회귀분석을 실시하였다. 가설검증 결과, 팀 피드백 환경은 팀원들의 피드백 추구행동과 양(+)의 관계를 나타냈고, 자기효능감이 높은 팀원일수록 팀 피드백 환경 내에서 피드백 추구행동을 더 활발하게 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 피드백 추구행동은 업무성장활력 및 팀 몰입과 양(+)의 관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 피드백 추구행동이 직무성과에는 물론 직무태도 및 일터에서의 활력 및 에너지에도 중요한 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여주고, 피드백 추구행동을 활성화시키는 긍정적인 팀 피드백 환경이 조성되는 것이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다.

종업원의 내재적 동기부여와 조직몰입 간의 관계에 있어서 조직피드백의 조절역할 (The Moderating Role of Organizational Feedback in The Relationship Between Employee's Intrinsic Motivation and Organizational Commitment)

  • 최근 개인주의와 무한경쟁의 심화로 공동체의식의 형성이 쉽지 않은 기업 상황에서 조직몰입에 대한 관심이 높다. 조직몰입은 가장 중요한 종업원 태도 가운데 하나로 여겨져 왔으며, 학계 및 기업에서 광범위하게 논의되고 강조되어 왔다. 본 연구의 목적은 종업원의 내재적 동기부여와 조직피드백이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향과 종업원의 내재적 동기부여와 조직몰입 간의 관계에 있어서 조직피드백의 조절역할을 규명하고자 하였다. 연구자료는 국내 제조업체에 근무하는 287명의 종업원들로부터 수집되었다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 종업원의 내재적 동기부여는 조직몰입에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조직피드백은 종업원의 내재적 동기부여와 조직몰입간의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 종업원의 내재적 동기부여와 조직몰입 간의 정(+)의 관계는 조직피드백이 낮을 때보다 높을 때 더 강해지는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구결과의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경영자들은 종업원의 내재적 동기부여를 통하여 종업원들의 조직몰입을 향상시킬 수 있다. 둘째, 경영자들은 조직차원의 피드백 제공을 통하여 내재적 동기부여를 가진 종업원들의 조직몰입 수준을 크게 향상시킬 수 있다. 특히, 경영자들은 종업원의 내재적 동기부여 수준이 높을 때, 조직피드백을 효과적으로 줄 때 종업원의 조직몰입 수준을 가장 효과적으로 높일 수 있다.

The Effect of Information Technology on Arms-Length Buyer-Supplier Relationship

  • This paper posits that arm's length buyer-supplier relationship as the intermediate type between market exchange relations and strategic partnership might be advisable, and information technology may have a role as a mechanism actualizing the effects of such arm's length relationship by strategic supply-line diversification. Based on the theoretical analysis on interactive feedback relationships among IT level, buyer-supplier relationships, and supply chain structure, we suggest a set of advisable buyer-supplier relationship type for efficient supply chain management. Also, doing so would be helpful in suggesting a dynamic IT investment and adoption model appropriate for the establishment of productive buyer-supplier relationship, and further in providing theoretical foundations and practical guidelines on the role and function of B-to-B E-commerce for efficient SC integration.

일부 지역 치위생(학)과 학생들의 자기결정성이 수업참여에 미치는 영향: 교육자의 피드백 유형의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The effect of some local dental hygiene and students' self-determination on class participation: Focusing on the mediating effect of educators' feedback types)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to understand the effect of learners' self-determination on class participation, focusing on the feedback type of educators. Methods: A survey was conducted from May 1 to May 31 2021 on dental hygiene students, and a total of 151 valid responses were analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, self-determination, class participation, and educator's feedback type. The analysis method used correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: In relation to self-determination, class participation, and feedback type of educators, self-determination was positive feedback (r=0.338, p<0.01), class participation was corrective feedback (r=0.418, p<0.01), and positive feedback was correction (r=0.742, p<0.01). As a result of the mediating effect of the educator's feedback type in the relationship between self-determination and class participation, it was found to be significant by partially mediating positive and corrective feedback. Conclusions: It was found that the right to self-determination influences class participation based on positive feedback and corrective feedback of educators. It relates to efforts to strengthen learners' self-determination and provide appropriate types of feedback from educators.
