  • This study aims to feasibility study of the Youth Center. Welfare of adolescents is appeared to a matter of concern and interest as social problems of various kinds related adolescents including the fire at a beer bar in Inchon occur recently. In view of government, in addition to fairness of facility location, location of such facilities are to be determined the respect to cost of locating facilities and developmental direction in the future. A feasibility study is an effective tool in determining the decision of investment or not and the level of investment priority on projects requiring a sizeable investment and the feasibility of a project. The first, it is to select reasonable location. It was selected three and two by consideration of facilities distribution and connection with others. Five proposal selected was estimated by five element of approach, demand, symbol, reality, environment. In result proposal I was chosen. The next, it is to estimate scales. It was estimated by analysis of catchment area, similar facilities, programs, in result 7,260$m^2$ cone into analysis to the best gross area The finally, it is to study on economical efficiency. Income Statement estimated was came out \1.7billion. in addition, it offer various benefit by public facilities.

  • With construction industry recession, many construction companies are increasingly conducting the development projects by themselves. However, housing projects requested by developers still stand large portion. Although many studies on feasibility analysis were released, they mainly focused on economic feasibility and lacked research on factors and criterions of overall project. Also, because previous studies overly break downed factors related to project, they rarely used in practice. Therefore, this study developed the feasibility analysis model of housing development projects to help main contractors to easily and effectively decide if it is feasible enough to promote the projects requested by developers, and verified the reliability of the model. In this study, thirty one driving factors were identified under seven different categories and the criterion of each factor was also developed. The survey on important index of each factor found 'salability', 'economic feasibility', 'site location' and 'method of raising fund' significant. 12 projects were tested by the model and its results showed resonable reliability.

  • This study is aimed to analyze the economic feasibility of yellowtail culture using the copper alloy net cage in Gyeongsangbuk-do. First of all, in order to evaluate the copper alloy net cage on yellowtail culture, I review the trend on the yellowtail culture industry and research the concept of copper alloy net cage. The copper-alloy net cage is now recognized as an advantages of its system stability, recycling, antibiosis and food safety. The results were summarized as follows: first, there was significant meaning of the profit model of yellowtail culture by the price difference. Second, I analyzed in the economic feasibility of yellowtail culture using the copper alloy net cage, internal rate of return (IRR) was 51.58%, a benefit-cost ratio was shown to be 2.27 and net present value (NPV) was 1,087,337 thousand won, which indicates the economic feasibility of yellowtail culture using the copper alloy net cage is profitable. Finally, in order to improve the economic valuation, it is necessary to focus more on the developing of technology and cost reduction strategy on the copper alloy net cage.

  • This paper presents a study on the impact of variation of construction material prices on the feasibility of building projects in Vietnam. The paper makes use of Monte-Carlo simulation for financial risk analysis of net present Value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR). To well illustrate the influencing, a case study is presented. The research results show that there is a strong correlation between steel prices, gold prices, and $US exchange rate. Outputs of statistics also reveal that the concurrent variation of prices of cement, steel, sand, brick, formwork and stone has strongly negative impact on NPV and IRR of building projects. The results also indicate that the proportion of steel cost to total construction cost is 17.95% which is the cause of risks for the feasibility of building project in Vietnam. The paper stresses that feasibility study of building project must integrate the impact of construction materials prices in order to mitigate risks in developing countries as Vietnam.

  • This study deals with replacement analysis of deteriorated equipment for improving productivity of production system. Frequent breakdown of the deteriorated equipment causes a situation that reduces productivity such as low product quality, process delay, and repair cost. However, the replacement of new equipment will be required a high initial investment cost, so it is important to analysis the economic feasibility. Therefore, we analyze the effect of the production system due to the aging effect of the equipment and the feasibility of equipment replacement based on the economic analysis. The process flow, working time, logistics movement, etc. are analyzed in order to build the simulation modeling for a ship and land switchboard production system. Using numerical examples, the economic feasibility analysis of equipment replacement through replacement of existing deteriorated equipment and additional arrangement of new facilities is performed.

  • In 2019, the government improved the system to reduce the maximum weight of economic feasibility items in the comprehensive evaluation from 50% to 45% in order to improve the problem that economic feasibility is a decisive factor in passing the preliminary feasibility study. This study is to analyze the effect of system improvement in 2019 and verified the difference between before and after system improvement. As a result of regression analysis and correlation analysis, both periods showed high correlation, and the difference through Z-test was analyzed as not statistically significant. This result means that institutional improvement to reduce the impact of economics was not effective. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to discuss the design of a more effective comprehensive evaluation study through research such as reevaluating the weights of each item in the comprehensive evaluation in various ways in existing projects.

  • Financial risks associated with capital investments are often measured with different feasibility indicators such as the net present value (NPV), the internal rate of return (IRR), the payback period (PBP), and the benefit-cost ratio (BCR). This paper aims at demonstrating practical applications of probabilistic feasibility analysis techniques for an integrated feasibility evaluation of the IRR and PBP. The IRR and PBP are concurrently analyzed in order to measure the profitability and liquidity, respectively, of a cash flow. The cash flow data of a real wind turbine project is used in the study. The presented approach consists of two phases. First, two newly reported analysis techniques are used to carry out a series of what-if analyses for the IRR and PBP. Second, the relationship between the IRR and PBP is identified using Monte Carlo simulation. The results demonstrate that the integrated feasibility evaluation of stochastic cash flows becomes a more viable option with the aide of newly developed probabilistic analysis techniques. It is also shown that the relationship between the IRR and PBP for the wind turbine project can be used as a predictive model for the actual IRR at the end of the service life based on the actual PBP of the project early in the service life.

  • Although there are many old school buildings that is more than 40 years in Korea, it is difficult to rebuild all of them due to limitations in budget management. Therefore, objective feasibility evaluation criteria are necessary to determine which school buildings should be rebuilt preferentially among the numerous old school buildings. One of the rebuilding feasibility evaluation items, economic evaluation generally requires documents such as construction statements and facility drawings. However, because most buildings older than 40 years do not have these documents, an economic analysis model that requires only basic building information should be developed. In this study, the economic analysis model that can be used for evaluating the rebuilding feasibility only with the number of years, total floor area, and structural information of school buildings was established. This model can contribute to the objective feasibility evaluation of old school buildings because it can evaluate numerous buildings on the same criteria based on basic building information.

  • In order to improve the accessibility to the island through marine leisure ships, it is necessary to evaluate objective business feasibility of the ship's operation. In this study, costs and income were estimated based on the operating expenses and freight standards of similar marine leisure ships in operation, and based on this, the feasibility of the project was empirically analyzed through B/C analysis, NPV, and IRR. In addition, sensitivity analysis was performed for various variables to understand the requirements for securing minimum economic feasibility. As a result of the study, in case of new building ship, the B/C ratio was estimated to be 1.042, NPV was estimated to be KRW 1.93 billion, and IRR was estimated to be 2.1% which means that profitability was secured.
