  • Recently The automotive industry is trying to increase the energy efficiency by reducing the weight of the car body and engine components as a way to achieve high energy efficiency. In particular, the reduction of the weight of the vehicle through the weight reduction of the vehicle body has the advantage that the fuel consumption and the output can be improved. But at the same time, there is the disadvantage that the strength becomes weak due to the reduction of the material thickness. Therefore, in order to overcome these disadvantages, materials with high strength according to the unit thickness have been actively developed, and researches for applying them have also been increasing. In this study, we will investigate the application of cold rolled steel sheet, which is a lightweight material, to a horn bracket that secures a installed in an automobile engine room. The horn bracket secures the horn on the car engine and is bolted to the outer wall of the engine. The momentum is acted on the bracket due to the distance between the bolt fastening part and the car horn installed on the bracket end side. Therefore, the body part of the bracket is more likely to be destroyed by the influence of the continuous stress. In this paper, design optimization for weight reduction and strength enhancement was performed to solve this problem, and possibility of applying the rolled steel sheet material as lightweight material by tensile test and fabrication was confirmed.

전동차 선로 이음매 판의 파손 해석 (Damage Analysis of Train Rail Fishplate)

  • The subway is one of the most common and important means of transportation in modern society. In order to use the subway safely, tracks are necessary, but trains are prone to derailment and collisions. In order for the train to run safely on the track, the fishplate that connects the line connection is used. The damaged railway was a fishplate for connecting subway lines used for 11 years, and damage analysis and countermeasures were presented. Beach marks were observed on both fracture surfaces, and striations appeared at the range of crack propagation. The damaged part is Cr carbide, which has a higher hardness than the base metal, and is judged to be embrittled and destroyed by fatigue. The SM50C fishplate was subjected to a cyclic stress of about 59% of the upper limit of tensile-compression fatigue limit, but inclusions were the cause of failure. In order to prevent fatigue failure of the SM50C steel fishplate, the occurrence of inclusions should be minimized and processed to have a homogeneous structure when manufacturing the fishplate. In addition, compressive residual stress is given through surface modification such as peening to control crack generation. It is necessary to minimize the change in shape that can become a stress concentration part along with accurate fastening of the bolt, and to design the stress distribution to be as uniform as possible.

조타장치 사고 재결서 분석과 NAS 3350 시험을 통한 카페리 여객선 타두재와 틸러 체결 너트 풀림 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Passenger Ship Rudder Stock and Tiller Locking Nut Loosening by Analyzing an Investigation Report and the NAS 3350 Test)

  • 2014년 2월 여객선의 타두재 상단 너트가 풀려 타가 작동하지 않은 사고가 발생하였다. 많은 여객과 화물의 이동을 목적으로 하는 여객선의 조타 장치 사고로 인한 인명사고는 통계에 의하면 2010~2016년 0명이지만 조타장치의 고장으로 선박의 요건인 이동성을 갖추지 못한다면 물살이 거센 해역이나 출입항 선박이 많은 협수로에서는 선박의 조종에 대한 제약으로 인명사고의 비율이 높은 전복 사고나 충돌 사고로 발전할 수 있다. "선박안전법" 및 관련 고시인 "강선의구조기준"에는 타판과 타심재의 체결에 관련된 내용은 기준화 되어있으나 타 빠짐의 원인이 되는 상부 타두재와 너트의 체결에 대해서는 별도의 법령이 없다. 사고 이후 한국선급은 강선규칙 5편 제7장에 결합방법에 대해 개정을 하였다. 목포항과 주변 섬을 운항하는 여객선 12척에 대한 현장조사 결과 대부분 C형타 2개가 설치된 구조였으며, 체결방법으로는 9척이 용접에 의한 체결 방법을 적용하고 있었고 선박 자체적으로 예방 점검을 위해 체결 개소에 접근하기 어려운 구조로 되어 있었다. 1년에 한 번씩 타를 들어 올리거나 빼내야 하는 여객선의 특성을 고려하여 동종 사고를 방지할 수 있는 방안에 대해서 NAS 3350 시험을 통해 검토하였다.

레일체결장치용 방진패드의 피로거동에 관한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study on Fatigue Behavior of Resilient Pad for Rail Fastening System)

  • 본 연구에서는 레일체결장치용 방진패드의 사용수명 및 스프링강성을 평가하고자 비선형 재료모델 및 피로하중조건을 적용한 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 피로해석 결과, 초기조건 대비 스프링강성의 변화율은 약 16%로 나타나 피로경화가 발생된 것으로 분석되었다. 방진패드의 길이방향으로 발생되는 응력은 중앙부와 외곽부(Edge)의 발생응력의 차이가 약 10배 이상 발생되었다. 또한 중앙부 보다 외곽 경계부의 등가응력이 2배 이상 크게 발생하는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 실제 사용조건에서 방진패드의 손상 및 변형 취약부는 방진패드의 모서리부분인 것으로 분석되었다. 피로해석을 통해 산출된 반복횟수에 따른 방진패드의 등가응력을 이용하여 방진패드의 피로수명선도를 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 도출한 방진패드의 피로수명선도를 이용하여 향후 다양한 하중조건에서 방진패드의 등가응력을 산출하여 해당조건에서의 피로수명을 예측하는 데에 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

단추에 관한 연구 -19, 20세기를 중심으로- (The Study on the Buttons (centering around 19th-20th Centuries))

  • The achievement of notable social reoforms attained during the period of 19th and 20th centuries needlessly speaking remodelded the social environmental into several different patterns such as :1) high industrialization 2) propensity to consume 3) up graded overall social stands. Accordingly the industrial world of the but-tons too established the mess production syhstem by breaking from convention of hand-craft work of 17th century. The raw materials used in the production line on buttons during the 20th century are almost all-kind of materials one can possibly named including cheap plastic which enabled production lines to produce cheaper but higher productivities of the buttons being produced, The design (incused design) used in the 19-20h centuries are : men landscape, sports features, birds, livestocks, bugs, or geomatric features, tec, 1, The classification o f the buttons by materials Techniques shapes colors marking (Incused design) used in the productionof buttons in the England United States of America Laska Italy france Denmark Japan and India are categolizzed as : natural raw materials and syntetical resines. 1) Of the natural raw materials used are : Matal Enamel Iodine Agate, Coral, Green jade(Jasper) Granite, Wood, Ivory, Horn and bone etc. 2) The sythetical resin used in the button in-dustries are : Artificial jewell glass Acrylic material Styroform Celluloid and Nylon etc. 2. The thecnique quoted in producing buttons are hand craft work inlay work precision casting press mosic dye etching, processing, engraving and embossed carving etc. 3. The major designs used in the buttons in -dustries are : Round shape however elliptical column angular and edge shape often used. 4. The colors used are : The multi-colors were highly used than mono-colored materials such as : Adjoining Color and Contrast Color. The highest consideration to be considered in choosing the colors for the buttons are harmonization and matching factor with the garment or dresses to be wore. 5. The major design(incused design) on the buttons are embodiment and the design were also used in order of abstractive-combination abstractive with has offers much surprising. The button industries during the 19th and 20th centuries were not only the determination factors those can judge the value of self-pride of Nation and which were far beyond the in-dustrial arts in those days but also highly refelected and influenced by cultural sense ideology and self-pride of the Nation of those period. The followings are details of the role of the buttons categolized in the order of functional ornamental and symbolical aspects : 1. The functional role : The functional role of the buttons were simply designed for dress how-ever the buttons beyond from this role of function now a days. 2. The ornamental role : The ornamental role of he button beyond from this role of the button were effectuated by : 1) shape materials colors 2) technique locations size and design (incused design) 3) The ramaterials used for buttons shall not be over looked because it is highly depends on the taste sense and combination of harmony with the garment to be wore. 4) The color of the buttons are made well contrasted with the color of garments just as in the case of other artistical area such as matchs with the color of garment of contrast with brigtness of colors contrasted as complementary color and so and so. 5) The technique being adoped are: precision casting press handcraft inlay work etching mosic etc,. Since the buttons are no longer a simple catching devise used to fasten together the different part of the dress but now it has formed own and occupied the independent role in the garment or dresses location can be de-termined and varying depending on the ideas of designers. The size of the buttons has no specific limits, However the variation has widely dependined on the entire circumperence rhythm contrast harmonization of the garments. 3. The symbolical role : Since the button is no longer a just a simple devise for catching and fastening device used fastening together the different part of the garments but now were built a independent area as major part of the Garment and well reflected all kinds of occupations political background cultural as-pect etc. on the buttons. The design of buttons in the western circles are more simplified but they are polished looks and their techniques of manufacturing are comination of both machanis and handcraft. The colors used in the buttons are pretty well harmonized with garment(dress). Almost all kind of materials can be used in the but-tons however materials used in the buttons are : Bone of livestocks ivory, turtle shell are no longer used because the prevention of cruely of animal. On the contraly the level of buttons indus-try of Korea is far to reach and catch up with the level of western circles. It is highly suggested therefore the but-tons industrial field of Republic of Korea shall place and encouragement in producing beter industrial environment of the buttons based on the traditional and cultural aspect of republic of Korea to produce both manufacturing of qulified and best designed and colored buttons.

접촉을 갖는 날개-동체 조인트의 비선형 해석을 통한 설계 개선 (Wing-Fuselage Joint Design Improvement Using Nonlinear Analysis Considering Contact)

  • 본 연구에서는 KSR-Ⅲ 로켓의 날개-동체 조인트에 대한 비선형 유한요소해석을 수행하므로 적절한 설계 개선을 제시하였으며, 최종 설계의 검증을 위해 수행된 구조 시험 결과와 비교하여 해석의 타당성을 평가하였다. 날개-동체 조인트는 동체 프레임 상에 존재하는 체결 홈에 날개의 체결부가 끼워짐으로 연결되는 방식으로 설계되었다. 이 방식은 연결 구조물간의 하중 전달을 주로 구조물간의 접촉면을 통해 이루어지게 하며, 체결 볼트를 통해서는 구조물을 고정하되 전달 하중은 최소화하기 위한 것이다. 조인트 구조의 정확한 해석을 위해 연결 구조물간의 접촉 및 체결 볼트를 통한 하중 전달을 묘사할 수 있는 세심한 구조 모델링을 적용하였다. 해석 결과에 의해 제시된 설계 개선은 구조시험을 통해 안전성이 검증되었으며, 해석 및 시험 결과가 잘 일치하였다.

조선시대 왕실 예복에 사용된 다회(多繪) 및 망수(網綬) 연구 (A Study on Dahoe(多繪) and Mangsu(網綬) Used in Royal Formal Dresses in the Joseon Dynasty)

  • This study examined dahoe(多繪-braided cord) and mangsu(網綬-ornament of husu for ceremonial dress) used in myeon gwan(冕冠), daedae(大帶), and husu(後綬) among royal formal dresses in the Joseon Dynasty(1392-1910) based on historical materials including literature, relics, and paintings. The results of this study are as follows. In myeon-gwan, dahoe was used for cap strings, goeing(紘) and yeong(纓). Cap strings were applied to the king, the Crown Prince, and the eldest son of the Crown Prince regardless of their status, and they showed differences among the periods. Both goeing and yeong were used during the early period of Joseon, and then only yeong was used in the late period. As goeing was removed and only yeong was used in the late period, patterns combining goeing and yeong, in color and wearing method, appeared. Dahoe used in cap strings is dongdahoe(童多繪-a kind of braided cord). In daedae, 'nyuyak(紐約)' was tied up to its fastening part. The material of nyuyak was changed from dongdahoe in the early Joseon Dynasty to guangdahoe(廣多繪-a kind of braided cord) in the late period, and the method of using it was also changed. Husu was imported from Beijing in China during the early period of the Joseon Dynasty, but in 1747, it was regulated to be woven in Joseon, and at that time, King Yeongjo attempted to restore the institution of weaving husu with "320 su(首)," namely, 6,400 strands as specified for the status of a prince of the Ming Dynasty.

GFRP 도어 임팩트 빔과 Steel 브래킷의 기계적 결합에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Mechanical Mounting between GFRP Door Impact Beam and Steel Brackets)

  • The mounting performance of the GFRP(Glass fiber Reinforced Plastic) beam and the mechanical mounting of the steel bracket was studied to be mounted as a GFRP impact beam on the side door of the passenger car. Moreover, an open-hole tensile test was performed to evaluate breakage tendency based on GFRP stacking conditions. Furthermore, the tightening strength of rivets and bolts was compared using the single lap-shear tension test for the GFRP stacking pattern. Additionally, the GFRP beam and bracket mounting features were designed; moreover, the prototype and bracket were assembled. Additionally, the bracket mounting bending test and the door assembly static bending test were performed to verify the stability of the bracket mounting. In the bracket fastening bending test, no breakage occurred in the connection part between the GFRP beam and the bracket, and it showed 67% (24.4 kN) improved performance compared to steel. In the static bending test of the door assembly, the initial average reaction force increased by 25% compared to the steel, and the performance of all FMVSS-214 regulations was satisfied. The replacement of GFRP impact beams resulted in a 30% weight reduction

언더컷 형상의 판재 성형품에 보강용 CFRP 패치의 접합을 위한 공정기술 개발 (Development of a process to apply uniform pressure to bond CFRP patches to the inner surface of undercut-shaped sheet metal parts)

  • Partial reinforcement of sheet metal parts with CFRP patch is a technology that can realize ultra-lightweight body parts while overcoming the high material cost of carbon fiber. Performing these patchworks with highly productive press equipment solves another issue of CFRP: high process costs. The A-pillar is the main body part and has an undercut shape for fastening with other parts such as roof panels and doors. Therefore, it is difficult to bond CFRP patches to the A-pillar with a general press forming tool. In this paper, a flexible system that applies uniform pressure to complex shapes using ceramic particles and silicone rubber is proposed. By benchmarking various A-pillars, a reference model with an undercut shape was designed, and the system was configured to realize a uniform pressure distribution in the model. The ceramic spherical particles failed to realize the uniform distribution of high pressure due to their high hardness and point contact characteristics, which caused damage to the CFRP patch. Compression equipment made of silicone rubber was able to achieve the required pressure level for curing the epoxy. Non-adhesion defects between the metal and the CFRP patch were confirmed in the area where the bending deformation occurred. This defect could be eliminated by optimizing the process conditions suitable for the newly developed flexible system.

이동식 정자의 설계 시공법 연구 (A Study on Design and Construction Methods of Movable Pavilions)

  • 본 연구는 이동식 정자의 설계시공방법을 살펴보고자 문헌분석을 통해 조영 배경과 입지와 향의 설정, 규모와 구성, 재료, 시공방법 등을 분석함으로써 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 이동식 정자는 곳곳에 펼쳐진 경승을 두루 유람하기 위해 고안된 정자로 산수를 즐기는 경험을 바탕으로 자신의 집을 소유하고 정자를 경영하는 것보다 이상적인 삶을 추구하는 방식이 반영된 창작물이었다. 둘째, 이동식 정자의 조영은 계절별, 시기별 경관을 때와 장소의 제한 없이 감상하고자 하는 의도로 조성되었으며. 풍류를 즐기기 위한 도구를 매번 옮겨야 하는 번거로움을 해소하고자 고안되었다. 셋째, 이동식 정자는 경관을 조망하기 용이한 곳을 향하여 입지와 향이 결정되며, 대부분 소규모로 조성되어 그 안에서 경관을 감상하거나, 바둑, 작시, 탄금 등을 위한 공간을 구분하였다. 또한 목재를 주로 사용하고, 하중을 저감시키기 위해 대나무나 짚, 유둔, 면포 등 가벼운 소재로 지붕과 벽면을 구성하였다. 시공방식은 결합과 해체가 용이하도록 하는 결구기법이 주로 사용되었으며, 선박이나 수레 상부에 정자를 조성할 경우에는 일반 정자의 목구조식 시공이 이루어졌다. 넷째, 일반 정자와 이동식 정자의 설계시공 특성을 비교해보면 이동식 정자는 조영목적상 경관의 관람이 용이하여 입지와 향의 설정에 제한이 없으나, 기동력을 고려하고, 구조적으로 하중을 견디기 위한 방안이 마련되어야 하며, 정자로서의 기능과 형태를 만족시켜야 하기 때문에 보다 엄격한 제도와 기법이 요구되었다.
