기능성이 반영된 오리가미 패션의 표현특성 (The Expressive Characteristics of Origami Fashion based on Functionality)

  • From traditional ceremony to science technology, origami was used as technique for artistic creativity and functionality based on formative characteristics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the expressive characteristics of functionality in fashion design using origami technique. The method of this study was to analyze recent documentaries, fashion books, fashion magazines, internet web site and so forth. The results were as follows: In various fields of design, the category of the expressive characteristics was classified as efficient correspondence of space, compositive convergence of function, variable potentiality of form and human ergonomic optimum. In recent origami fashion based on functionality, the efficient correspondence of space was expressed constructive or decorative pocket design, using on clothing surface and varied design by lifestyle. The compositive convergence of function was expressed innovative connection of fashion items or non-fashion items and deconstructed classical clothing pattern. The variable potentiality of form was expressed control of form by irregular fold, dynamic metamorphosis by organic fold and creation of varied clothing silhouette. The human ergonomic optimum was expressed metamorphosis mechanism from two dimension to three dimension, suitable construction to physical ability and limit and organic form based on articular folding. The functional origami fashion means reflection of nomadic lifestyle, maximum of usability, pursuit of playful sensibility, creation of new body aesthetic and pursuit of technology and humanism. And the result of these study may be used for creative inspiration in fashion design because of unique characteristics.

자기이미지와 패션리더성향: 의복관여와 소비자 자신감을 중심으로 (Self-image and Fashion Leadership: Focusing on Clothing Involvement and Consumer Confidence)

  • People are exposed to diverse images and naturally find images to express themselves to others for personalsatisfaction. They present ideal images that they desire to obtain or actual images that they already have. People find differences between ideal images and actual images as well astry to overcome differences by managing appearance or purchasing fashion items. The congruence between real and ideal self-images and perceived body images stimulate clothing involvement or consumer confidence to influence fashion innovativeness and fashion opinion leadership. Fashion leaders are known for confidence when making buying decisions on new fashion products and are more likely to influence other consumers to buy new items. This study useda structural equation model to understand the influence of perceived self and body image on clothing involvement and consumer confidence as well as define how perceived images influence fashion leadership through clothing involvement and consumer confidence. The results of this study indicated that self-image congruence has a positive impact on social body image and personal body image. A positive influence of perceived body image on clothing involvement and consumer confidence was also detected. Fashion opinion leadership could be explained by clothing involvement and consumer confidence; however, fashion innovativeness could only be explained by consumer confidence.

K 패션 착용경험에 관한 연구 -20~30대 네팔, 베트남, 몽골 외국인을 중심으로- (A Study on Foreigners' Experience ofWearingK Fashion -Focusing on Nepalese, Vietnamese, and Mongolian Foreigners in 20s and 30s-)

  • This study aimed to investigate the perceptions and preferences of foreigners residing in Korea towards K-fashion. It sought to provide suggestions for the future development of K-fashion targeting this growing demographic. The results revealed that the longer foreigners had lived in Korea, the more positively they rated Korean fashion, shopping, and culture. The majority of foreigners purchased K-fashion items online, with popular choices including T-shirts, jackets, shirts, and jeans. Both men and women identified shoulders as a common problematic area when wearing clothing, with some issues also reported in the lumbar region. In terms of preferences, younger males (teens and twenties) were more inclined towards fads and celebrity wear compared to older males (thirties and forties). Similarly, younger females (teens and twenties) showed a higher preference for functionality and celebrity wear compared to older females (thirties and forties). These findings suggest that men tend to prioritize aesthetic factors when choosing K-fashion, while women prioritize practical considerations. To better cater to foreign consumers, suggestions for the development of K-fashion include promoting it through K-pop stars, considering dimensions related to foreigners' shoulders when designing top items, diversifying colors, sizes, and patterns, and providing English versions of online shopping platforms.

가상세계에서 패션 디자인 비즈니스의 특징 - 세컨드 라이프(second life)를 중심으로 - (Characteristics of Business based on 'Second Life' Simulation Game)

  • 가상세계에서 패션은 이제 하나의 디자인 장르로 등장하였다. 가상세계 커뮤니티에서 게임자들은 활동을 위한 아바타와 공간을 가지게 되었으며, 이 속에서 생활하는데 필요한 아이템들의 공급이 필요하게 되었다. 2003년 가상현실 게임으로 등장한 세컨드 라이프는 현실세계와 대체가능한 화폐, 개인 참여자들의 아이템 제작 및 판매, 오프라인에 존재하는 다양한 기업들의 참여를 통해 현실세계에서와 같은 비즈니스가 진행되어져 왔다. 특히, 온라인으로 전개되기 어려운 특징을 지닌 패션산업이 디자인은 물론 트렌드를 반영한 제품 제작에서 판매까지 이루어지고 있으며, 개인이 작업 가능한 소프트웨어를 제공하여 사용자들의 콘텐츠 제작 및 활용, 판매가 가능한 장을 열어두고 있다. 본 연구는 현재 가상세계 게임의 선두에 있는 세컨드 라이프를 중심으로 이곳에서 이루어지는 비즈니스에 대한 전반적인 정보와 특히 패션 비즈니스 모델을 중점적으로 소개함으로써 웹 3.0 시대를 위한 비즈니스 모델을 연구하는 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 특히 개인이 개발 가능한 패션 아이템은 가상세계에서 또 다른 패션 비즈니스로 성장하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

국내외 SPA 브랜드 니트웨어의 디자인 특성에 관한 연구 - 2019년 S/S 시즌 중심으로 - (A study on design characteristics of SPA brand knitwear in domestic and overseas markets - With a Focus on the 2019 S/S Season -)

  • The fashion market is expanding and competition is intensifying due to the contraction of consumption in response to the economic recession and changes in trends. In this study, design characteristics reflecting the brand identity and trend are analyzed as important factors for success. In this study, we will look at the design characteristics of knitwear among SPA brand products and help to plan knit designs. First, six brands were selected based on the sales and the number of stores in domestic and foreign SPA brands. The selected brands include UNIQLO, ZARA, H&M, SPAO, TOPTEN, and 8Seconds. We have selected weft knitting knitwear products(1,736 pieces), which are currently sold in domestic and foreign SPA brands, as silhouette items, knitwear design items, gauges, colors, patterns, images, and items as analysis items to analyze the causes of the differences in the design characteristics of domestic and foreign knitwear. The SPA brand has a wide range of tattoo floors, emphasizing practical aspects, a silhouette that fits the body, and a comfortable daily style. Domestic and foreign SPA brands did not show much difference, but Korean brands had a lower diversity of organization and used color for stable sales, showing a lower concern in trend and strong point color applications. If foreign brands pursue femininity based on a sexy image, Korean brands displayed a difference, emphasizing cute images. As for other design factors, it was found that brand identity was reflected more than domestically. As the cycle of trends becomes shorter, fast fashion is expected to continue in the future, and it is hoped that this research will be used as useful data for design projects of domestic companies.

B2B를 이용한 유통업체의 의류상품구매 사례연구 (A Case Study of Retail Fashion Buying through B2B)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the current situation of B2B fashion buying behavior (i.e., buying motives, product characteristics, buying processes), and to analyze the buying performance, buying problems and buying strategies. In depth, face-to-face interviews with structured questionnaire were conducted with three buyers and three vendors related to 18 buying items of C Company. Results of this research were as following:1. Buying motives were mainly reduction of buying costs, improvement of profits, and increased efficiency in buying process for retail buyers, while the selling motive was mainly improvement of market share for suppliers. Suitable items for B2B buying were basic items or bulk items. The B2B buying process included the following steps: selecting auction items, target prices, and suppliers ; setting the product specification and bidding niles; training the suppliers for preparing the auction; proceeding the auction by internet. 2. The perceived B2B benefits for buyers were profit improvement and cost reduction while those for suppliers were time saving and market share improvement. The indicated buying problems were as poor product quality, low product image, and difficulty in partnership. For B2B buying strategies, a quality management system, various auction tactics based on items, and a supplier management system were recommended.

18~24세 한국과 몽골 성인여성 체형비교(제2보) (A Comparison of Body Types Between Korean and Mongolian Women within the 18 to 24 Age Group(PartII))

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the body types based on the side view. The subjects are 404 Korean and Mongolian women within the 18 to 24 age group. From the results of comparing 28 items of indirect photometric measurements, 15 items were shown to have significant differences. Mongolian women were larger in values for 13 items than were Korean women except two items, which are back projecting point height and abdominal projecting point height. The silhouette of Korean women's front body looks completely different from Mongolian women's. Especially, Mongolian women's fore-breast part is much thicker than that of Korean women. The result of analysing the indirect photometric measurement of 4 types which were previously classified by the direct measurements and index values is as follows; Type 1 is normal type, type 2 is lordosis type, type 3 is swayback type, and finally type 4 is flatback type. The groups of each of the 4 types are further divided into Korean and Mongolian women. Judging from their body types based on the side view, it seems clear that significant differences exist between Korean and Mongolian women's side body shapes in the thickness of their breast part.

외모에 대한 사회문화적 태도가 남성 소비자의 의복구매행동과 외모관리행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Sociocultural Attitudes toward Appearance on Male Consumers' Apparel Buying Behavior and Appearance Management Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance on male consumers' apparel buying behavior and appearance management behavior. The subjects were 353 males aged from 40 to 59 years old. The research method was a survey and the questionnaire consisted of sociocultural attitude toward appearance items, apparel buying behaviors items, appearance management behaviors items, and subjects' demographic characteristics items. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, cluster analysis, multiple response analysis, ${\chi}2$ test, ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test. The results were as follows. Three dimensions (appearance importance awareness, slimness importance awareness, internalization) were emerged on sociocultural attitude toward appearance, and subjects were divided into 4 groups(receptive, unreceptive, awareness, and internalized group) by this variable. The 4 groups by sociocultural attitude toward appearance showed many differences on apparel buying behaviors and appearance management behaviors. Receptive and internalized group more importantly regarded fashion trend and store display as apparel buying motives, design and trend as selection criteria, and did shopping to buy clothes more often than awareness and unreceptive group. Receptive and internalized group recognized higher the need for various appearance management behaviors and spent more expense to enhance their appearance than other groups.

  • 최근 패션산업에서는 고객의 니즈가 다양해지고 공급 리드타임이 크게 단축됨에 따라 최신 유행을 즉각 반영한 디자인, 빠른 상품 회전율로 승부하는 패스트 패션이 각광받고 있다. 또한, 기업간 경쟁도 심화되면서 얼마나 신속하게 효율적으로 고객의 니즈를 만족시킬 것인가가 패션산업의 중요한 성공요인으로 강조되고 있다. 따라서, 다품종 소량 신속생산이 강조되는 패스트 패션 산업에서는 트랜드 변화에 신속 대응을 지원하는 지능형 신속대응시스템(Intelligent Quick Response System : IQRS) 구축 및 지원을 절실히 요구하고 있다. 본 논문은 패스트 패션 산업 IQRS 구축에서 요구되는 신속대응 프로세스 수립, 지능적 판단을 지원하는 신속대응 기준 및 실행, 신속대응 물량 산정 및 시기 의사결정 모델을 제시하였다. 또한, 신속대응 의사결정의 합리성을 검증할 수 있는 KPI(Key Performance Indicator)를 설계하여 모델의 신뢰도를 향상시켰다. 제시된 각 모델은 A사의 ERP 구현사례를 통해 실용성을 검증하였다.

모델 전공 여대생의 인체측정학적 특성 (Anthropometric Characteristic of Female Student in Model Dpt.)

  • The purpose of this study was to offer objective information about standard of selecting and training fashion models by verifying anthropometric characteristics and comparing with general women. Total forty eight fashion models (M=20.08yr ; SD=1.7) were recruited by convenience sampling. Thirty eight items of participants were measured by manual of International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometric (ISAK). Mean and standard deviation of 38 items and also factor of somatotype (endomorph, mesomorph, ectomorph) were calculated. In the result, somatotype of fashion model was endomorphic ectomorphy, less muscle and taller height. Conclusionally, this study indicated that there is less mesomorphy rating related to muscle quantity, bone mass in somatoplot. However, it is necessary to provide the program enhancing the physical activity with model department.
