With concerns for consumers' return behaviors affecting internet shopping malls' profits and product management in the internet clothing market, this study is designed to investigate determinants affecting return and path models for return behaviors. For an empirical study, questionnaires are prepared and respondents in their 20s and 30s with internet clothing purchase experience are selected using the convenience sampling. A total of 517 questionnaires are used for the final analysis. Data are analyzed by using SPSS 12.0 software and descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test, discriminant analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis is conducted. The results are as follows. First, ones who have returned after purchasing clothing items in internet shopping reached 63.4% of the total consumers. Respondents returned items with price at 50 thousand won or less stood at 67.2%, and the most frequent return shopping malls are open markets with their return rate at 51.1%. Second, variables such as risk perception, information search, impulse buying, buying experience, and age have a positive effect on return experience. Impulse buying and buying experience turn out to have a significant effect on the degree of return, but risk perception, information search, age, and gender to have an insignificant effect. Return intention is significantly affected by risk perception, gender, and age. Third, the analysis of path model for return experience shows that perceived risk has a positively effect, and information search has a direct effect as well as an indirect effect through buying experience or impulse buying. The analysis of path model for the degree of return shows that risk perception does not have effect, but information search has indirect effect through buying experience or impulse buying. This study is thought to find consumers' return behavior characteristics in online shopping, and help businesses operating online shopping malls to efficiently manage returns and set up strategies against returns.
The purposes of this study were 1) to classify adult consumers according to their desired clothing benefits on natural-dyed clothes, 2) to identify the differences of life-style among the classified groups, and 3) to determine the interest in Korean traditional culture, interest in dyeing, and demographics among the groups. The survey subjects were 283 adults. The data were analyzed utilizing factor analysis, cluster analysis, $x^2$-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test and multiple regression analysis. Based on the 6 dimensions of clothing benefits that were identified by factor analysis, adult consumers were classified into three clusters: eco-friendly oriented group showing the highest scores in environment conservation and comfort in clothing benefits, individuality-oriented group showing the highest scores in individuality and quality, and indifference group showing lower scores in all of the desired clothing benefits. The eco-friendly group showed the highest scores in attitude toward Korean traditional culture, and tended to have the most interest in natural and traditional methods of dyeing. The group members appeared to have passive life-styles, be older and married, and have a higher income than the other groups. The more positive attitude they had in Korean traditional culture, the higher was the purchase intention shown in the eco-friendly group. The individuality-oriented group showed active life-styles. This group tended to be younger than the other group. The more affirmative attitude in Korean traditional culture and the greater interest in the natural dyeing, the higher was the consumers' purchase intention of natural dyeing apparels. The indifference group tended to be younger, unmarried, and have a lower income. This group was not interested in natural dyeing apparels. The study findings demonstrated that consumers with different clothing benefits sought have different buying patterns on natural dyeing apparels. Finally the marketing implications are discussed.

As the role of retail stores in distribution channels becomes more significant and competition among them becomes more fierce, retail stores are making efforts to gain a dominant position in market share. And as such, consumer store choice behaviour is becoming more diverse and complex. The purpose of this study was to analysis the store choice process and to aid in understanding the types of store choice behaviors. 30 subjects were sampled by focus sampling and investigated by in-depth interview. Some consumers went through all stages of store choice process and others skipped some. The consumers who usually had no plan to visit stores and who purchase without problem recognition process were categorized as opportunity-taking type, and the consumers who visited just one store without external search of other store information were categorized as store-loyal type. Finally, the consumers who searched store information externally were divided into brand-oriented type and value-seeking type. The brand-oriented type represented the consumers who did not evaluate stores in detail because which store to visit was decided on brand; and the value-seeking type represented the consumers who did in fact evaluate stores in more detail according to the items and trends in fashion. This study is meaningful in that it provides a dynamic store choice process and examines related variables thereto.
KakaoTalk has become a reputed mobile social network and an inseparable part of people's lives by leading the mobile industry in South Korea. However, there is a lack of studies in academia regarding perception of the consumers and assessment toward the mobile marketing and services by KakaoTalk. Based on the theoretical orientation of Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM: Petty & Cacioppo, 1986) and electronic service quality (E-S-QUAL: Parasuraman, Zeithaml, & Malhotra, 2005), this study investigates the effects of information sources (Charles & Richard, 1988), and examines the consumer perception toward the service quality of KakaoTalk. A total of 209 responses were collected, using a self-administered survey in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, South Korea from March 2015 to June 2015. A seven-point Likert scale survey was developed to measure the information sources (i.e., argument quality, post popularity, and post attractiveness), electronic service quality (i.e., efficiency, fulfillment, privacy, and system availability), attitude (i.e., usefulness, preference, and overall attitude), and behavioral intention (i.e., like intention, share intention, and purchase intention). This study reveals a consensus that an online environment is different from the traditional retail context in terms of information source and service quality. Specifically, the results indicate that argument quality greatly impacts the attitudes of the individuals and their behavioral intention toward mobile shopping via social media channel. The most powerful factor among E-S-QUAL is "efficiency." This dimension of service quality influences the customer perception of usefulness and preference as well as share and like intention toward mobile shopping on KakaoTalk.
The purpose of this study is to deeply understand consumer characteristics of department stores in pusan to cope with intensive competition of distribution channels. To complete this purpose, literature study was done through secondary data, than statistical research was conducted from 23th April to 17th May, 2001, through interview with 600 consumers of Hyundai department store in Pusan. Consumers of department stores earn more money than average, and they purchase fashion goods rather than necessities at department stores. Thus to deal with discount store, department stores need to lay stress on prestigious image and fashion goods. And to deal with other competitive department stores, they have to develope more distinctive and superior marketing mix than counter part. These days distribution situations of pusan are changed owing to prohibition of shuttle bus, opening of second section of subway line 2, and opening of Lotte department store at Dongrae. Thus departments stores also have to investigate the change of shopping behavior of consumers.
The purpose of this study was to examine the consumers' purchasing behaviors of budget-priced cosmetics. Questionnaires used for this study were composed of 44 questions including 9 questions about budget-priced cosmetic purchasing behavior, 15 questions about satisfaction, 15 questions about repeat purchasing intention, 1 question about the reason of satisfaction or dissatisfaction, and four questions about demographic variables. Questionnaires were administrated to 317 people who were Daegu & Kyungpook region residents and had shopping experience on budget-priced cosmetics during 2 weeks from March 2005. Respondents' age was limited from 20 to 40. Data were analyzed by using correlation, crosstabulation analysis, and frequency analysis utilizing SPSS/WIN. The results were as follows. Consumers went to budget-priced cosmetics' shops 'for low price', 'for trial' and 'for curiosity'. The best purchased products among the budget-priced cosmetics were basic cosmetics, and the second purchased products were make-up cosmetics. 41.4% of the whole respondents answered that they spent 5,000~10,000won per one time visit, and 65% of those answered they visited once or twice per a year and once per two or three months. In this study a level of satisfaction for the entire products, consumers neither unsatisfied nor fully satisfied. For the question of the intention to repurchase for the budget-priced cosmetics, the respondents answered that they will not positively purchase again. A level of satisfaction and the intention to repurchase had positive correlations. The reason which consumers satisfied with the products was chiefly related to price and that which consumers unsatisfied the products was related to products themselves.
This study investigates the wearing behavior and athleisure wear design preferences of women in their twenties as related to the design development of athleisure wear. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 185 women in their 20s. The survey was conducted from September to October 2016. Questionnaire items consisted of respondents' general items, athleisure wear and preference related items, and athleisure wear purchase related items. We collected 185 questionnaires from participants; subsequently, 169 were used as analytical data (except for incomplete questionnaires). The results of the study are as follows. Fit and wear comfort was the most important factor in the selection of athleisure wear. As a result of investigating the popularity of the athletic wear brand, the preference for the total sportswear brand was higher than the professional athletic wear brand. When the preferred colors were examined, the achromatic colors were ranked higher than chromatic colors. An examination of the preferred designs according to items indicated that the bra top preferred the 'U' shaped front plate and the 'Y' base basic type; in addition, T-shirts with the round neckline and the 1/4 length sleeves were preferred as tops. Leggings preferred long length type. It is necessary to develop a brand that matches the preference of the twenties' consumers by adjusting the aged target that can avoid the overheated competition and develop a niche market.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and preference on textile design specially on bedding products which are widely interested in the life-style market. The study was carried out targeting to 250 women between the ages of 20s and 40s based on the four seasons. The collected data was processed with SPSS 21.0 program using frequency, cross tabulation, and ANOVA analysis. The results were as following. There were slight differences on the results of the study including purchase behavior and preferred bedding textile design: color, color tone, and pattern on the textile design of bedding products according to age and season. Most of age had similar color preference on the bedding products in the season but a slight different between fall and winter. However, as color tone and pattern on the textile design of the bedding products were concerned, there were significant difference between the age depending on the season. There were significant differences of color tones and patterns in fall and winter, but not significant in spring and summer. Therefore, the domestic market of the bedding products needs more various textile design development according to consumers' preference and seasonal trend which should be discriminated in order to increase product competitiveness.
The purposes of this study were to research the behavior of consumption and needs about the female university students to provide useful information which would help finding the marketing source of cosmeceuticals. The sample was consisted of 464 female university students who had experiences of using the cosmeceuticals. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, frequency, x2-test, t-test, ANOVA(LSD) using SPSSWIN. The results were as follows: When the female university students purchased the cosmeceuticals, they considered the effectiveness and the price, so were satisfied with good effect and low price. The most important marketing methods in cosmeceuticals for female university students were through the internet and mail order shopping. Whereas, demerit factors of internet shopping were founded to be the complexity of exchange or refund and the little chance of free samples for trial. The good marketing strategies might be sending trial samples, future payment system after trial period, and/or supporting the event held in the university. Besides, it might be a consideration to have an event for the improvement by public trial. Anti-aging cosmeceutical was the most preferred item for female students, sun protection and whitening cosmetics next in order. Therefore, a target customer for cosmeceuticals might be lowered in age. The purchasing cost system and therapeutic effect of cosmeceuticals had to be developed for 20's. It was necessary to be safe and effective. The factors affecting the level of satisfaction for cosmeceuticals could be categorized into 4; market environment, simplicity of purchase, product merit and additional service. The needs for cosmeceuticals showed significant differences according to grade and kinds of product.
The purpose of this study is to provide for the basic data useful to the effective production and thereby, help them improve their apparel life. For this purpose, 180 Korean mothers who bring up from newborns to fouryear-old babies were sampled to survey their practices of purchasing the infant's wear and positively identify the factors affecting the practices. Data is processed by a computer(SAS) and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, $\chi^2$-test, Duncan's Multiple Range test. The main results of this study are as follows; 1. The mothers tend to gather the information from the items displayed(50.6%) in the stores. The criteria for purchasing considerably depends on the 2. The places of purchasing on which the mothers rely most for infant's wear are department stores(35.2%) and stores nearby their house(28.5%). The frequency of infant's wear depend on the change of season and necessity. 3. It had been disclosed that the brand favored most by the mothers is AGABANG(48.6%). The most influential factors for the popularity of brands are Design(53.1%). The most important reference affecting the mother's choice of infant's wear is size(51.1%) followed by functionality and price(26.7%). After the purchase, mothers are discontent with the high prices of infant's wear. In all, it has been found through this study that the behavior of number in purchasing infant's wear was influenced by many external factors. Therefore, manufacturers and retailers should manufcture and sell products that are of the highest quality. This must be their utmost concern for the satisfaction of their customers.
