As interest in the sustainable fashion industry continues to increase along with climate issues, it is necessary to identify research trends in sustainable fashion and seek new development directions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze research trends on sustainable fashion. For this purpose, related papers were collected from the KCI (Korean Citation Index) and Scopus, and 340 articles were used for the study. The collected data went through data transformation, data preprocessing, topic modeling analysis, core topic derivation, and visualization through a Python algorithm. A total of eight topics were obtained from the comprehensive analysis: consumer clothing consumption behavior and environment, upcycle product development, product types by environmental approach, ESG business activities, materials and material development, process-based approach, lifestyle and consumer experience, and brand strategy. Topics were related to consumption, production, and education of sustainable fashion, respectively. KCI analysis results and Scopus analysis results derived eight topics but showed differences from the comprehensive analysis results. This study provides primary data for exploring various themes of sustainable fashion. It is significant in that the data were analyzed based on probability using a research method that excluded the subjective value of the researcher. It is recommended that follow-up studies be conducted to examine social trends.
This study was conducted in order to analyze draping and flat pattern according to jacket design, and provide basic materials for developing a jacket pattern that can enhance fitness, functionality, and aesthetic expression of clothes by reflecting esthetic expression of draping and efficiency of flat pattern at the same time. For the experimental jacket designs of a one-piece sleeve jacket and a two-piece sleeve jacket were selected among the entries of the designer Rubina for 2014 F/W Seoul Fashion Week. Designer brand Rubina usually produced clothes using draping and the designer brand company provided the experimental patterns for the study. We also had flat patterns of the same design and size specifications designed by a flat patternmaker who has 30 year-experience in flat pattern like Rubina. The test apparel jacket was made of 20's cotton yarns. Three models wore the jackets and evaluation on appearance fitness was conducted by 7 members in an expert panel group from August 10, 2015 to September 10, 2015. As a result of appearance fitness analysis on one-piece sleeve jacket, there were significant difference in 4 items among 17 items in terms of overall appearance. The appearance of jackets by draping had higher score than those using flat pattern. As for two-piece sleeve jacket, there were significant differences in 7 items among 17 items related to overall appearance. As for the items related to sleeve, 5 items out of 13 showed significant differences. Except for one item, appearance of jackets using draping had higher score than flat pattern. As for motion fitness, draping was evaluated to be more comfortable. Applying the items with high scores in appearance and motion fitness in draping to flat pattern, The study suggests a new jacket pattern development that would increase the satisfaction of consumers for future research.
Korean celebrity endorsement is a common practice adopted by companies in China. This study assessed the impact of celebrity endorsement (trustworthiness, attractiveness, congruency, and expertise) on Chinese consumers' intention to purchase clothes endorsed by Korean celebrities. This study used reliability and validity tests and structural equation model analysis to explore the relationship between variables using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. This study conducted an online survey (www.sojump.com) from August 10, 2020 to August 20, 2020 and collected 370 respondents. Results show that all constructs of celebrity endorsement positively affected purchase intention and that celebrity expertise had the strongest impact. With respect to the influence of demographic variables on the constructs, gender, age, and education had a significant effect on trustworthiness; gender and age had a significant effect on attractiveness; and income had an effect on purchase intention. Marketing executives should consider using Korean celebrities for different purposes in brand advertising. Particularly, celebrity expertise, such as experience, knowledge, and skills, should receive attention while publicizing to Chinese consumers. This study contributes to the academic and practical implications of Korean celebrity endorsement.
This study made an analysis on the relation and influence between outdoor wear benefit, clothing selection criteria and purchasing satisfaction. Survey was conducted targeting 20s-30s males and females who have experience of purchasing outdoor wear and 335 sheets of questionnaire were used for final analysis. And statistics package SPSS16.0 was used for analysis of collected materials. A group seeking the trendy brand turned out to give considerable thought to the brand and trend and purchase less than 100,000won at the discount outlet. A group pursuing functional practicality puts an emphasis on the activity and use, and purchases at the internet shopping mall or department store. Regarding material, function, design, style and color as important, a group pursuing individuality and appearance turned out to purchase clothing at various places such as discount outlet, specialty store and internet. A group that is indifferent to clothing appeared not to care about specific elements when selecting outdoor wear. The result of study showed that consumers of outdoor wear show purchasing satisfaction in respect of design, style, color or trend.
The purpose of this study was to suggest the appropriate marketing strategies for Korean fashion companies wishing to enter the US market. In-depth-interview with documentary research were performed to investigate the seven Korean fashion companies launching in the US market as wholesalers or retailers. The interviews were executed from May to July 2007. The results of the study were summarized in accordance with Marketing Mix(4P's). In most cases, the brand targets are female customers of 20's to early 30's. The products carried by the companies are trendy with a tint of vintage and oriental feelings. The price ranges from middle to high level. Most brands are engaged in wholesaling through trade shows to sell the merchandise for department stores or specialty stores, but recently are trying to convert to retailing. Trade shows and show rooms are used as one of the promotion tools, but celebrity marketing has also been active for the promotions. Most companies suggested their superior qualities of the products as their strength, and the lack of experience and information as their weakness. Most companies forecast that the influence of FTA between Korea and the US may be limited because of Korea companies' overseas outsourcing system.
The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate consumers' clothes shopping orientation factors and perceived risk factors affecting the purchase intention for fashion products in social commerce. For this study, questionnaires were given to 500 adults in their 20s~30s who had experience of using social commerce related to general products or services. To analyze the results of this study, we conducted descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, a chi-square independence test, and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 18.0. The results were as follows. First, social commerce users'clothes shopping orientations were classified into the pursuit of pleasure, brand, fashion innovation, trend, and utility, and the perceived risks were classified into the risks related to products, consumer service, loss of purchase opportunity, confidence in the web site, economy, and security. Second, clothes shopping orientation factors and perceived risk factors had a somewhat significant influence on the purchase intention for fashion products. Third, there was a significant difference between sexes regarding the influences of the clothes shopping orientation factors and perceived risk factors for the purchase intention of fashion products. Finally, this study aims to provide useful information for fashion companies to enable them to establish specific strategies that can influence consumers'purchase behaviors through social commerce.
This study introduces an effective marketing strategy for fashion SMEs and small designer brands utilizing Instagram as a social networking platform. The research compared the impact of two information delivery types (native advertisements vs. live streaming after native ads) and two types of promotional messages (scarcity vs. price discount) on SNS consumption value, and product attitude toward fashion designer brands. The study involved surveying 251 Korean women aged 25-55 with experience in buying designer products and using SNS. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 26.0 and Process Macro v3.5. Results indicated that both native advertisements and live streaming enhance economic and social values in SNS consumption. Live streaming with price discount messages generates higher perceived SNS consumption values compared to scarcity messages. Consumers showed a more favorable attitude toward designer brand products when watching the live streaming of price discount messages rather than scarcity messages. The findings emphasize that the broadcast host actively induced participation to reveal viewers' social presence through comments or emphasized discount messages such as ultra-special prices during live streaming on Instagram.

Data research was conducted on 300 internet users in their 40s and 50s located all parts of the country. The SPSS 24.0 software program was used to conduct data analyses such as descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, $x^2-test$, t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan test as a post-hoc analysis. The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, outdoor sports wear shopping orientation was identified with fivefactors : the tendencies of wanting to show off a brand name, conservative purchasing, economical purchasing setting a high value on a salesperson, and impulse purchasing. Secondly, the middle-aged male consumers were classified in to three groups by the cluster analysis: a rational group, an indifferent shopping group, and pursuit brand shopping group. Thirdly, the evaluation criteria of products were significantly different depending on outdoor sports wear shopping orientation subdivision in all factors. Fourthly, in the case of fashion information sources regarding outdoor sportswear, significant differences were found according to shopping orientation subdivision in mass media/store source, personal source/ prior shopping experience. Fifthly, all types of stores were significantly different depending on shopping orientation subdivision except for large discount stores.

Thus they show different attitudes toward clothing. This study is to survey teenagers' attitudes toward clothing, especially school uniform and to understand their psychological characteristics about clothing. The purpose of this study is to provide useful data in designing teenagers' school uniform which can serve to fulfill their clothing desire and beautiful school life. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. As of paradigm in clothing, they value individuality, economical efficiency, practicality, fashion, and conformity of clothes in the order of importance. They considered individuality value the most important. Students' preference of school uniform is not positive over all. About 60% of students support wearing uniform, and 50% like wearing uniform on the way to school. The reasons for wearing school uniform are psychological stability and economical efficiency. They think school uniform is well fitted for the student position and don't have to care about clothing if they wear school uniform. 63% of them prefer wearing famous brand but they think the price is too high. Comparing with male student, female students place more value on latest fashion and are more likely to purchase brand object than male students do. Female students have more experience in modification of school uniform than male students do. An aging population and increasing consumer demand for high-quality and innovative new products are key drivers for growth in the cosmeceutical industry. Cosmeceuticals are defined as products with biologically active ingredients that have a measurable effect on the user. This study explored the effects of shopping orientation and store attributes on impulse buying behavior for cosmeceuticals. We obtained 437 usable questionnaires from university students who had purchased cosmeceutical products. Data analysis was conducted using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling analysis via AMOS 18.0. The findings were: 1) hedonic shopping orientation and convenience shopping orientation had positive effects on product efficacy and promotion of the cosmeceutical store 2) brand shopping orientation had a positive effects on store atmospheric, skin care service, and brand of the cosmeceuticals store and 3) product efficacy and promotion of store attributes had a direct effect on impulse buying behavior for cosmeceuticals. Consumers who tended to enjoy the shopping to refresh themselves and to experience convenient shopping were likely to purchase cosmeceuticals impulsively, which mediated by the store attributes (product efficacy and promotion). Therefore, we confirmed partly causal relationships among the shopping orientation, store attributes, and impulse buying behavior of cosmeceuticals. Both managerial and theoretical implication for practitioners and researchers were discussed for managing product information more efficiently along with promotion strategies to trigger cosmeceuticals consumers in the context of shopping.
