The purpose of this study is to test and compare the efficiency of heating-system for materials and construction of the wall, ceiling and window in soil brick house, cement house and boulder house respectively, in order to construct ideal farm houses in rural area. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In heat conservation due to construction of walls the thermal efficiency of cement brick house was equivalent to 66.3% of that of soil brick house, and boulder house 60.3% 2. In the case of ceiling, the thermal efficiency of paper ceiling was amounted to 84.2% of that of the composite ceiling (thickness 6mm veneer+thickness. l0m chaffs), and the common ceiling putting on soil above the ceiling, 76% of the composite while the efficiency of the ceiling putting on chaffs above them was 15.8% higher than that of the paper. 3. In the case of improving the window, the double type was 12% higher than. the efficiency of single type. 4. The warming velocity of conventional house was slower but the velocity of radiation was quicker than that of experimental one. It was thought to be due to unscietific constructions of the room bottom, fire inlet and chimney, 5. The temperature gradient line was not dependad upon the amount of throwing into fuel in the rural farm house. 6. It was concluded that the final thermal efficiency of the conventional farm house was 10.6% lower than that of experimental farm house.

The traditional farm houses in Yongdong area of Kangwon province have a different spatial structure from those of the other areas because of the characteristics of the climatic, geographic and sociocultural circumstances between the Taebaek mountains and the East Sea. So the purpose of this study is aimed at grasping how the spatial features of traditional farm houses in Yongdong area have been different in each regional circle. The plans of traditional farm houses of this region which are four types - ㅡ typed house without floor, ㅡ typed house with floor, ㄱ typed house without floor, ㄱ typed house with floor - show very similar but different space arrangements.
The purposes of carrying out this research were the efficient formation and management of the house gardens of the farming villages in the future by stereotyping the house gardens of the farming villages and the garden spaces and the facilities through the analysis of the present situation of the farm villages and the suggestion of the basic materials for the improvement of the farming village environments. As a result, there were the limitations that this research had been limited to the garden spaces of the farm village houses, without considering all the environments of the farm villages. It was thought that, if, based on these results, the researches for drawing the item of the concrete creation of the gardens and the management are proceeded with through the in-depth analysis in the vein of the relationship between the farm village homestead gardens and the villages in the future, this will prove helpful in practically formulating and putting into practice the policies for supplying the farm village gardens for the farm villages.
This paper is a part of "The Study of the Traditional Korean Ethnic Farmhousing in Yanbian, China". The purpose of this study focuses on Korean farm house and is twofold: 1) to survey the working space and storage space for tools: 2) to investigate the daily use of space according to the different work activities. It is based on a survey of 124 households in the farm villages of Lunching, China. Survey research methods included a field study in Dallajae. A questionnaire was used to conduct this study. the study found that the working space for the koran farm family is divided into an indoor area and outdoor area. The indoor space includes working areas where the families live their daily life, cook, launder, clean, mange the house keeping, usually stare the grain. The outdoor space includes areas to store the grain, farm tools, rice box, shelves and other things such as sewing machine, iron, and tools used for cleaning the house and for farming. The center of life and work for the farm family was the chung-ji-kan (the combined kitchen and major ondol living room) located in the indoor space.oor space.

The purpose of the study is to estimate the Green-House-Gas (GHG) emissions from domestic eel farm in the water recirculation system or still-water system by the assessment of energy consumptions and GHG emissions for establishing to reduce standards of GHG from a sustainable perspective. GHG emission components as seeds, feed, fuel, electricity, fixed capital, fish respiration, and others were analysed at the different culture type between water recirculation system and still-water system by 3 stage farm size of small, medium, large scale. The result showed that the mean GHG emission of the eel farm was $18.7kg{\cdot}CO_2$ in the stage of production per fish 1kg at different culture type and farm size. Therefore it could be useful for policy, planning, and regulation of aquaculture development with establishing GHG reduction standards.
The 78 housekeeping books were analyzed to find out the structure of income and expenditure of the farm household. The selected farm households were classified into 4 different farming types such as rice-cultivating, vinyl house, fruit-growing, and livestock farming. The results are summarized as follows : 1) The farm housekeeper ought to rationally manage farm household money income, because agricultural income was preponderated to several months regardless of farming types. 2) Farm household income was primarily dependent upon agricultural income and non-agricultural income in the livestock farming and rice-cultivating farm houshold respectively. 3) order of living expenses of the total farm households were recreation and entertainment expenses, food expenses, education expenses, and housing, fuel & light expenses in size. The major expenses were education expenses, food expenses and miscellaneous expenses in rice-cultivating, vinyl house and livestock farming, and fruit growing farm households respectively. 4) Balance of income and expenses of the farm household, s its time, size, and pattern of increase and decrease, was different by farming types. 5) Household expenses increased in February, May, August and December, though disposable income reversely decreased in February, April, August and December compared to each former month. So, special consideration should be taken into budget planning for household money management in February, August and December.

The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model was used in this study to evaluate the hydrologic impacts by the impervious surface change in the farm region. The model was calibrated and validated by using four years (1999-2002) of measured data for the Gyeongancheon watershed in Korea. The simulation results agreed well with observed values during the calibration and validation periods. Land use scenarios including various changes of the plastic film house area in the farm region were applied to assess their effects on watershed hydrology. The results indicated that the surface direct (5.6%~14.0%) and total runoff (0.8%~1.5%) increased, but the groundwater discharge (10.7%~27.7%) and evapotranspiration (1.5%~3.3%) decreased as the plastic film house area (5.7%~12.4%) increased.
The purpose of this study is derived by Utilization Strategy for Rural empty houses stability of Return to the Farm and Rural. The main findings can be summarized as follows. First, the recent return to the farm and rural has increased, and life patterns of diversification, and the retirement of the baby boomer generation return to the farm and rural ratio differed by region. Second, the required first order accurate and detailed to maximize the utilization of the rural empty houses Survey, and the integrated management system based on it should be built. Third, the public lead in pushing for policy to take advantage of an empty house, leasing and management capabilities by strengthening return to the farm and rural characters, revitalizing rural and residential stabilization is necessary. Finally, in order to enhance the utilization of the rural empty houses should prepare return to the farm and rural, Multi-Habitation and a common space for existing residents for a variety of purposes. The results of these studies has a significance that can promote rural housing return to the farm and rural, resource utilization and stable settlement, and rural areas activated at the same time. Utilization of specific rural empty houses feasible policy being prepared, by linking rural areas that can bring effects on the activation of alternative hope.

This study aims to estimate the Green-House-Gas emissions from domestic farmed flounder in the southern sea and Jeju-Do, where is mainly produced, by the assessment of energy consumptions and GHG emissions from domestic fish farms for establishing reduce standards of greenhouse gas from a sustainable perspective. It needs to analyze such GHG emission components as feed, electricity, fuel, fixed capital, fish respiration, and liquid oxygen in two locations by 4 stage running water type farm size of small, small and medium, large and medium, large scale. The result showed that the mean GHG emissions were $36.83kg{\cdot}CO_2/year$ in the southern sea and $24.33kg{\cdot}CO_2/year$ in Jeju-Do, respectively, in the stage of production per fish 1kg at 2 locations and farm size from domestic farmed flounders, and it will give to be useful for policy, planning, and regulation of aquaculture development with establishing GHG reduction standards.
The number of modernized green houses have been increased to produce high quality and high-payoff farm products. The unit investment costs per pyeong($3.3058m^2$) for building a glass house was estimated at 449 thousand won. On the other hand, the unit prices for the PC house with iron frame and the vynil house with automatic control system were revealed 365 thousand won and 93 thousand won respectively. The main objective of the study was to identify the financial feasibility of the green house investment prevailed in rural area. At present, some farmers have selected the green house without any consideration of profitability of crops and accessiblity of their fanning practices and technology. For the soundness of green house cultivation and management, the indices of finacial efficiency for the modernized green houses were necessary. The decesion making criteria such as NPV(Net Present Value), IRR(Internal Rate of Return), B/C Ratio and Payback Period were analyzed for the individual high investment facilities considering the present farmer's technology and on-farm benefits and costs. The results of the feasibility analysis of green houses were as follows: 1. In case of 100% private burden of the investment costs, NPV revealed only positive value for the vinyl house with automatic system and IRR for the house was also estimated at more than 10% and B/C Ratio was amounted to more than 1.0. On the other hand, the other glass and PC houses showed negative NPV and unacceptable B/C ratio and IRR. 2. In case of the following terms and conditions as 50% Government subsidy, 20% loans and 30% farmers burden of the total investment cost, all the green houses showed acceptable IRR, B/C Ratio and NPV. 3. The financial feasibility of the glass house was acceptable in tomato cultivation rather than in cucumber cultivation. The payback periods of cucumber were represented as 8.9 years for glass house, 8.5 years for PC house and 4.1 years for vinyl house with automatic system respectively. In conclution, the glass and PC house cultivation of high value vegetables were only acceptable under the Goverment subsidy and loan systems from the view point of farmer's financial situations. On account of the unacceptable economic rate of return, the government subsidy and loan policy for glass house cultivation should be transfered to the vinyl and pc houses in the future.
