냉장고 도어스위치의 가속수명시험 (Accelerated Life Test for Door Switch of Refrigerator)

  • Accelerated life test models and procedure are developed to assess the reliability of Refrigerator door switch. The main function of door switch is to operate bulb lamp and fan motor in the refrigerating room. The accelerated life test method and test equipments are developed using the relationship between stresses and life characteristics of the products. Using the developed accelerated life test method, the parameters of the ALT model and life time distribution are estimated and the reliability of the Door S/W at use condition if assessed. The proposed accelerated life test method and procedure may be extended and applied to testing similar kinds of products to reduce test time and costs of the tests remarkably.

Retrofitting of shear damaged RC beams using CFRP strips

  • The results of an experimental investigation are presented in this paper for retrofitting of shear damaged reinforced concrete beams by using U shaped CFRP strips. The experimental program is consisted of seven shear deficient T cross sectioned 1/2 scale simply supported beam specimens. One beam was used as reference specimen, and the remaining six specimens were tested in two stages. At the first stage, specimens were shear damaged severely, and then were retrofitted by using CFRP strips with or without fan type anchorages. Finally, retrofitted beams were tested up to failure. Three different CFRP strip spacing were used such as 125 mm, 150 mm, and 200 mm. The effect of anchorages on shear strength and behavior of the retrofitted specimens is investigated. CFRP strips without anchorages improved the shear strength, but no flexural failure mode was observed. Specimens showed brittle shear failure due to peeling of CFRP strip from RC beam surface. Shear damaged specimens retrofitted with anchoraged CFRP strips showed improved shear strength and ductile flexural failure. Maximum strains at anchoraged strips were approximately 68% larger than that of strips without anchorages.

  • Structured singular value (SSV)는 robust stability와 robust performance를 매우 엄밀하게 다루기 위해 고안되었다 (Doyle, 1982; Safonov, 1982). 이 엄밀성으로 제어시스템의 설계 및 분석에 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 강건제어의 단초를 이루었으며 loop failure tolerance, decentralized integral controllability (Campo and Morari. 1994), D-stability (Lee and Edgar, 2001) 등에 SSY가 사용되고 있다. SSV의 중요성이 알려짐에 따라 이것에 관한 많은 연구가 있었다(Fan et at., 1991 ; Pacltard and Pander, 1993), 그러나 이 값의 계산은 매우 어려운 NP-hard인 것으로 판명되었으며 (Braatz et al.. 1994). 실수 불확실 변수에 대한 SSV의 경우 원하는 오차범위 내로 근사 값을 구하는 것도 마찬가지 인 것으로 밝혀졌다(Fu, 1997).(중략)

  • This paper proposes an opportunistic age replacement policy. The system has two types of failures. Type I failures (minor failures) are removed by minimal repairs, whereas type II failures are removed by replacements. Type I and type II failures are age-dependent. A system is replaced at type II failure (catastrophic failure) or at the opportunity after age T, whichever occurs first. The cost of the minimal repair of the system at age z depends on the random part C(z) and the deterministic part c(z). The opportunity arises according to a Poisson process, independent of failures of the component. The expected cost rate is obtained. The optimal $T^{\ast}$ which would minimize the cost rate is discussed. Various special cases are considered. Finally, a numerical example is given.

  • The motors faults including mechanical rotor imbalances, broken rotor bar, bearing failure and eccentricities problems are reflected in electric, electromagnetic and mechanical quantities. This paper presents a study and the practical implementation of an induction motor for reactor containment fan cooler in nuclear power plant with Electric Signature Analysis(ESA). The results obtained present a good degree of reliability hence; the ESA predictive maintenance tools enable a pro-active evaluation of induction motors performance prior to failure.

  • For the certification of aircraft and part, it must be show the compliance with applicable requirements through system safety assessment. The safety assessment process should be planned and managed to provide the necessary assurance that all relevant failure conditions have been identified and that all significant combinations of failures which could cause those failure conditions have been considered. Complex systems, especially aircraft, should take into account any additional complexities and interdependencies which arise due to integration. In all cases involving integrated systems, the safety assessment process is of fundamental importance in establishing appropriate safety objectives for the system and determining that the implementation satisfies these objectives. This study review the safety assessment for the certification process of the aircraft engine system and analyze turbo-fan engine by fault analysis method for compliance with airworthiness requirement of aircraft engine system.

  • Developed is the new program that the reliability analysis can be performed more effectively considering the correlation of structural members about the cable stayed bridge. This program is formulated the stochastic finite element method suitable for the reliability analysis and the new safety evaluation method is proposed which is different from the existing one by the deterministic method or MCS response analysis. After conducting the initial equilibrium analysis of cable stayed bridges, the stochastic finite element is formulated through the perturbation method and the reliability analysis considering the correlation of stochastic variables is conducted. The results in various types of cable stayed bridge show that the probability of failure considering the correlation is larger than the non-correlation. The fan system is more stable than other systems at the structural response and the probability failure.

Research Design, Data, and Methodology-This paper selected by six cases of Chinese enterprises' overseas M&A to do the contrast. Results-Consulting company still plays a very important role in Chinese enterprises' overseas M&A because Chinese enterprises' overseas M&A is being placed in growth stage. And how to grasp the development trend of industry accurate and choose the correct target enterprises is a very important issue for Chinese enterprises which can make Chinese enterprises to avoid blind investment. Conclusion-Chinese Enterprises have to evaluate the target enterprise with the aid of authoritative investment and consulting company, focus on training qualified talents and the integration after the M&A when they Overseas M&A in the future.

Seismic behavior of steel truss reinforced concrete L-shaped columns under combined loading

  • Steel-reinforced concrete (SRC) L-shaped column is the vertical load-bearing member with high spatial adaptability. The seismic behavior of SRC L-shaped column is complex because of their irregular cross sections. In this study, the hysteretic performance of six steel truss reinforced concrete L-shaped columns specimens under the combined loading of compression, bending, shear, and torsion was tested. There were two parameters, i.e., the moment ratio of torsion to bending (γ) and the aspect ratio (column length-to-depth ratio (φ)). The failure process, torsion-displacement hysteresis curves, and bending-displacement hysteresis curves of specimens were obtained, and the failure patterns, hysteresis curves, rigidity degradation, ductility, and energy dissipation were analyzed. The experimental research indicates that the failure mode of the specimen changes from bending failure to bending-shear failure and finally bending-torsion failure with the increase of γ. The torsion-displacement hysteresis curves were pinched in the middle, formed a slip platform, and the phenomenon of "load drop" occurred after the peak load. The bending-displacement hysteresis curves were plump, which shows that the bending capacity of the specimen is better than torsion capacity. The results show that the steel truss reinforced concrete L-shaped columns have good collapse resistance, and the ultimate interstory drift ratio more than that of the Chinese Code of Seismic Design of Building (GB50011-2014), which is sufficient. The average value of displacement ductility coefficient is larger than rotation angle ductility coefficient, indicating that the specimen has a better bending deformation resistance. The specimen that has a more regular section with a small φ has better potential to bear bending moment and torsion evenly and consume more energy under a combined action.

Eccentrically compressive behaviour of RC square short columns reinforced with a new composite method

  • A new composite reinforced method, namely self-compacting concrete filled circular CFRP-steel jacketing, was proposed in this paper. Experimental tests on eight RC square short columns reinforced with the new composite reinforced method and four RC square short columns reinforced with CFS jackets were conducted to investigate their eccentrically compressive behaviour. Nine reinforced columns were subjected to eccentrically compressive loading, while three reinforced columns were subjected to axial compressive loading as reference. The parameters investigated herein were the eccentricity of the compressive loading and the layer of CFRP. Subsequently, the failure mode, ultimate load, deformation and strain of these reinforced columns were discussed. Their failure modes included the excessive bending deformation, serious buckling of steel jackets, crush of concrete and fracture of CFRP. Moreover, these reinforced columns exhibited a ductile failure globally. Both the eccentricity of the compressive loading and the layer of CFRP had a significant effect on the eccentrically compressive behaviour of reinforced columns. Finally, formulae for the evaluation of the ultimate load of reinforced columns were proposed. The theoretical formulae based on the ultimate equilibrium theory provided an effective, acceptable and safe method for designers to calculate the ultimate load of reinforced columns under eccentrically compressive loading.
