The purposes of this study were to analyze the types of leisure activities and level of leisure satisfaction with practice of a five-day workweek, and examined the relationship between leisure satisfaction and job satisfaction. The data were based on the questionnaire with 264 working employee residing in Seoul. The results indicated that the most frequently participating activities were sports, use of media, loaming activities in order. And there were no significant differences in types of leisure activities between 5 day working employees and 6 day working employees. Secondly, general level of leisure satisfaction was the highest when participating religious activities. Thirdly, it was found that only social satisfaction was positively related to job satisfaction, and social satisfaction influenced job satisfaction. Further discussions and implications were discussed.

The purposes of this study is to analyze the leisure behaviors of single households in Korea on the basis of generation, and identify leisure characteristics or factors that influence levels of happiness in these households. The sample comprised 1,144 single householders, among whom 74 belong to the teenage generation, 288 are of the eco generation, 154 belong to generation X, 104 are baby boomers, and 524 are of the older generation. Various leisure characteristics were compared across the generations, namely, conditions for leisure, degree of leisure participation, level of work-leisure balance, persistence of participation, and type of activity. Results showed differences in leisure characteristics and leisure factors that influence levels of happiness among the generations.
As the share of leisure culture increases these days, expectations are rising for the high quality of culture while increasing interest in leisure and tourism. The percentage of the population going on weekend trips to broaden the horizons of elementary, middle and high school students has continued to rise in proportion to the expectations for cultural enjoyment. We expect that visitors' weekend family activities will include relaxing, playing and educational purposes. Recent educational programs have moved from the past where only children were allowed to be onsite, to a shared style in which parents can engage in educational activities, potentially leading to the implicit involvement of family ties and family elasticity. The effects of education are not expressed by the period that ends in a single moment of experience, but by the continuity of training and experience. The same holds true for family affinity, communication and empathy. Providing opportunities for family experience and education is a national responsibility for broken family and restoring solidarity with the growing number of single-person households. Furthermore, it is a duty of museums and galleries today, and it is necessary to come up with methods to enhance family solidarity and family affinity. In particular, it is imperative to develop and provide educational programs for educational purposes at the Education Museum, and to develop " education for family " at the social level. This paper aims to analyze the results of all family participating education programs provided by family education programs at the Education Museum through family surveys and interviews, and to enhance the activation of family types education programs more actively.
To study the dining-out behaviour of housewives, the frequency, food preference, expense for dining-out in social meeting, family gathering, daily meal were surveyed with a total of 454 housewives in Pusan. (1) In the frequency of dining-out, once or twice a month shows highest percentage, 59.7% and 45.8% for social meeting and family gathering respectively. The occasion of dining-out for the daily meal is less than 1 or 2 time per 6 month (62.6%). The frequency of dining-out is highly dependent on demographic variables such as age, academic background, family income, car ownership. (2) The preference for Korean dishes is found to be top in all occasions for dining-out. And then for the social meeting, chinese food, western style food, japanese cuisine and fast food are prefered in order, while western style food and chinese cuisine are rather prefered than japanese cuisine and fast food in occasion for family gathering. When they dine out just for daily meal, korean food is prefered first and preference for chinese food, western style food, fast food is followed in order. Japanese cuisine is prefered the last. (3) Housewives answered highly that the expense they spend for dining-out for social meeting (45.8%) or family fathering (46.8%) is 5,000 to 10,000 won per person. For these occasions, the expense is different with family income. Namely, if their income is higher than 3,000,000 won, they usually spend 10,000 to 15,000 won for the occasion. And for the daily dining-out, 34.7% respondents answered that they spend 2,000 to 3,000 won.

This study clarified the fact that the existing 'manpower supply and demand plans', preceding studies, theoretical researches of the past cannot satisfy the multi-goals of organizations, instead, the existing plans focused on only the number of customers and total amount of service. Next, a necessity of more proper manpower plans that consider comprehensive goals of the organizations is suggested then, this study tried to make the countermeasures. As for studying methods, a priority sequence in the organizations' manpower management's goals is set by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process), a business administrative scientific skill. Proper manpower policies of the food service enterprises, which satisfy the organizations' multi-goals, are established by GP(Goal Programming). Based on it, mid and short term 'manpower supply and demand plans' are established. For the purpose of increasing the study's efficiency, example studies are conducted in one family restaurant. The limit of this study is that inner personnel management details such as promotion, new personnel appointments, unemployment, retirement were not considerately considered. Therefore, the future studies should think over those limits and research the labor-force supply from the outside also.
Strategic alliance is increasingly becoming a popular strategy in the family restaurant industry. In general, strategic alliance can be defined as several brands collaborating in technology development, marketing, or production while keeping their independence as separate business entities. This study identified segments on the basis of sales promotion resulting from strategic alliances between family restaurants and card companies. This study further investigated how brand image, brand value, price fairness, customer loyalty and demographics are different among the segments. From the statistical analysis, three segments were found; 'short-period benefits oriented' segment, 'intangible and discount benefits oriented' segment and 'free benefits oriented' segment. Among the three segments, the 'free benefits oriented' and 'intangible and discount benefits oriented' segments had greater perceived brand image, brand value and customer loyalty than the 'short-period benefits oriented' segment.
The principal objective of this study was to categorize service attributes on the basis of the asymmetric and non-linear relationship existing between service attributes and customer satisfaction. Researchers generally assume that service attribute performances and customer satisfaction are both symmetrical and linear. That is to say, improvements in attribute performance will inevitably result in increased customer satisfaction. However, this is not always the case. Certain attributes have been shown not to create satisfaction even when improved, and others do not create dissatisfaction even when their performance ratings become negative. Understanding this relationship is crucial not only to researchers, but also to service managers. Service managers can arrange their priorities with regard to which attributes must be improved or promoted first, in an environment of limited technical, financial, and human resources. Many studies into this asymmetric and non-linear relationship have recently been conducted, beginning with Herzberg's motivation-hygiene theory (1976) and the disconfirmation theory, which was eventually developed into Kano's model (1984). This study attempted to determine the impact level of service attributes on incidents of satisfaction or dissatisfaction. It used 30 service attributes generated by Park (2008) in the CIT research into family restaurants. The data were collected from 600 participants, 300 incidences of satisfaction and 300 incidents of dissatisfaction, via an online survey. The t-test was used to confirm the difference between the satisfaction group's and dissatisfaction group's attributes. 11 attributes were found to be significant at a level of p>0.05. This indicates that the 11 attributes exerted different impacts on satisfaction and dissatisfaction, which confirmed the asymmetric and non-linear relationship. 14 attributes were categorized into the core service, 1 attribute into the quality service, 7 attributes into the basic service, and 8 attributes into the neutral service. Strategic customer service management was recommended for the 'A' family restaurant as an example, on the basis of the asymmetric and non-linear relationship and the characteristics of the four service factors.
1. Purpose Rural tourism is made by individuals with different characteristics, needs and wants. It is important to have information on the characteristics and preferences of the consumers of the different types of existing rural accommodation. The stud aims to identify the determinants of consumer preference by type of accommodations. 2. Methodology 2.1 Sample Data were collected from 1000 people by telephone survey with three-stage stratified random sampling in seven metropolitan areas in Korea. Respondents were chosen by sampling internal on telephone book published in 2006. We surveyed from four to ten-thirty 0'clock afternoon so as to systematic sampling considering respondents' life cycle. 2.2 Two-step cluster Analysis Our study is accomplished through the use of a two-step cluster method to classify the accommodation in a reduced number of groups, so that each group constitutes a type. This method had been suggested as appropriate in clustering large data sets with mixed attributes. The method is based on a distance measure that enables data with both continuous and categorical attributes to be clustered. This is derived from a probabilistic model in which the distance between two clusters in equivalent to the decrease in log-likelihood function as a result of merging. 2.3 Multinomial Logit Analysis The estimation of a Multionmial Logit model determines the characteristics of tourist who is most likely to opt for each type of accommodation. The Multinomial Logit model constitutes an appropriate framework to explore and explain choice process where the choice set consists of more than two alternatives. Due to its ease and quick estimation of parameters, the Multinomial Logit model has been used for many empirical studies of choice in tourism. 3. Findings The auto-clustering algorithm indicated that a five-cluster solution was the best model, because it minimized the BIC value and the change in them between adjacent numbers of clusters. The accommodation establishments can be classified into five types: Traditional House, Typical Farmhouse, Farmstay house for group Tour, Log Cabin for Family, and Log Cabin for Individuals. Group 1 (Traditional House) includes mainly the large accommodation establishments, i.e. those with ondoll style room providing meals and one shower room on family tourist, of original construction style house. Group 2 (Typical Farmhouse) encompasses accommodation establishments of Ondoll rooms and each bathroom providing meals. It includes, in other words, the tourist accommodations Known as "rural houses." Group 3 (Farmstay House for Group) has accommodation establishments of Ondoll rooms not providing meals and self cooking facilities, large room size over five persons. Group 4 (Log Cabin for Family) includes mainly the popular accommodation establishments, i.e. those with Ondoll style room with on shower room on family tourist, of western styled log house. While the accommodations in this group are not defined as regards type of construction, the group does include all the original Korean style construction, Finally, group 5 (Log Cabin for Individuals)includes those accommodations that are bedroom western styled wooden house with each bathroom. First Multinomial Logit model is estimated including all the explicative variables considered and taking accommodation group 2 as base alternative. The results show that the variables and the estimated values of the parameters for the model giving the probability of each of the five different types of accommodation available in rural tourism village in Korea, according to the socio-economic and trip related characteristics of the individuals. An initial observation of the analysis reveals that none of variables income, the number of journey, distance, and residential style of house is explicative in the choice of rural accommodation. The age and accompany variables are significant for accommodation establishment of group 1. The education and rural residential experience variables are significant for accommodation establishment of groups 4 and 5. The expenditure and marital status variables are significant for accommodation establishment of group 4. The gender and occupation variable are significant for accommodation establishment of group 3. The loyalty variable is significant for accommodation establishment of groups 3 and 4. The study indicates that significant differences exist among the individuals who choose each type of accommodation at a destination. From this investigation is evident that several profiles of tourists can be attracted by a rural destination according to the types of existing accommodations at this destination. Besides, the tourist profiles may be used as the basis for investment policy and promotion for each type of accommodation, making use in each case of the variables that indicate a greater likelihood of influencing the tourist choice of accommodation.
This research analyzed the effects of satisfaction factors of rural experience of city dwellers. The main research results are summarized as follows. The selection attributes for the rural experience of urbanites were divided into their interests into the programs, variety of the programs and convenience of the facilities. According to the multiple regression analysis, interests into the programs had impacts on the level of satisfaction. The types of rural tourism had statistical relevance with people's interests into the programs, convenience of the facilities and variety of the programs. In addition, those at the age of 40 to 50 reported higher satisfaction in their interests of the programs and convenience of the facilities among the general attributes of the respondents. In occupation, office workers had higher satisfaction in their interests into the programs while homemakers were more satisfied than others in convenience of the facilities and variety of the programs. When it comes to the monthly family income, those in the group who earn 2 to 3 million won a month had higher satisfaction in terms of convenience of the facilities and variety of the programs.
The purpose of this study is to examine the elements that satisfy customers in order for restaurants to survive in competition, and to examine effective positioning strategies. Since the designation of Haeundae in Busan as a Special Tourism Zone, diverse food service markets have been established and various marketing activities are anticipated accordingly. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, after the examination of the competitive relationships among restaurants, based on the image similarity data, it was found that Bennigan's, Outback Steakhouse, and T.G.I. Friday's are in close proximity with one another. Hence the fierce competition between them. Secondly, as a result of PC-MDS PROFIT analysis, a positioning map was drawn with image similarity measurement of the restaurants and scores 9 evaluation categories for each brand name as follows: food taste, food price, service, access convenience, hygienic condition and cleaning, atmosphere, various events, circumferential environment, and public image. Thirdly, as a result of MDPREFMAP analysis based on the customer preference, data from the restaurant brand names, an ideal location of a restaurant preferred by customers and the position of restaurant brand names were indicated at the same time.
