본 논문에서는 국내문헌의 서지적 현상 속에 내포된 의미를 새로운 계량서지학적 기법인 동시인용을 통하여 규명하여 보고, 또한 해당분야의 지적인 구조를 다차원공간적 측면에서 접근하여 보고자 사회학분야의 문헌을 대상으로 저자동시인용과 문헌동시인용의 분석을 하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the meaning and essence of a mother's experience of hospitalization of her newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Methods: This study employed a qualitative research design. An interview was conducted with a mother whose newborn was hospitalized in the NICU, and the data were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological method. Results: Five main themes and 19 formulated meanings were indentified. The 5 themes were 'drowning in pain', 'just look outside the glass door', 'being a pillar', 'a deepening attachment', and 'prepare for nurturing with hope'. Conclusion: The results of this study provided an in-depth understanding of the experience of a mother with a newborn in the NICU. These results can be used in the development of a nursing intervention program that provides psychological and emotional support to the mother and family.

The purpose of this study was to trace and identify the origin and the meanings of the word ho-su(胡袖) of Chosun dynasty period. Findings of this study can be summerized as follows : The original meaning of the word ho-su(胡袖) is a name of round sleeves. Later it was used as a name of a dress with round sleeves. The word ho-su as a name of a dress is an abbrecviated form of ho su so o za(好袖小 子) of a previous period. The word jyo go ri(赤古里) in historical documents is anothor name of so o za(小 子). Wearing the ho-su(胡袖) was restricted to royal family women. It was included in royal women\`s wedding garments as ordinary use. Colors of this dress was used as a means of differentiating the rank and position of the wearer.

With the increase in family income in Korea and the improving quality of life, there is a rapid growth in the restaurant industry. Therefore there is a demand for quality service in this industry. This paper reviews the relationship between service quality and the degree of employee empowerment. The first objective of this research is to test the effects of employee empowerment on service quality, and the second one is to test how tenure affects this relationship. According to statistical analysis, meaning, competency, and autonomy generally have an affirmative impact on many service quality factors. Also the results of regression analysis to test the moderation effect show that long term employees are more sensitive to autonomy than short term employees.

In this article the meanings and usages of Korea dwelling space terms were studied by reviewing the Korean literatures to clarify their meanings. Korean literatures were selected by era. The sentences which describes the dwelling space were classified and analyzed from the viewpoint of their usage. The terms about the locations and the directions were analyzed and also the terms about the size of the spatial structures were studied. From this study the followings can be suggested: 1) New terms on 'bang' should be developed 2) The origin of the term 'an-bang' should be clarified and also the meaning and the value of it should be studied more throughly. 3) The differences between western dwelling space terms and Korean dwelling space terms should be studied. 4) Analyzing Korean dwelling space terms it was found out that the dwelling space terms were made and used by the rank of family members.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore the meaning of conflicts in nurses caring DNR (do-not-resuscitate) patients. Methods: The participants were 7 nurses caring DNR patients. Data were gathered using in-depth interviews. The interviews were recorded and transcribed verbatim. Colaizzi method was used to analyze the data. Results: The significant results can be categorized into 7 concept descriptions and 5 theme clusters by analyzing the interviews. The major theme clusters for the experiences of nurses were 'Pity about exceptional nursing actions', 'Pity about the unilateral decision making', 'Pity about halfhearted family love', 'Pity about unprepared circumstance for deathbed', and 'Pity about the absent guideline for DNR'. Conclusion: The finding of this study will help nurses resolve conflicts in caring DNR patients and provide a scientific basis for developing nursing intervention strategies for DNR patients.

Dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase (E3) is a member of the pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductase family. Thr residues are highly conserved. They are at the active site disulfide-bond regions of most E3s and other oxidoreductases,. The crystal structure of Azotobacter vinelandii E3 suggests that the hydroxyl group of Thr that are involved in the FAD binding interact with the adenosine phosphate of FAD. However, several prokaryotic E3s have Val instead of Thr. To investigate the meaning and importance of the Thr conservation in many E3s, the corresponding residue, Thr-44, in human E3 was substituted to Val by site-directed mutagenesis. The mutant’s E3 activity showed about a 2.2-fold decrease. Its UV-visible and fluorescence spectra indicated that the mutant might have a slightly different microenvironment at the FAD-binding region.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore essences and meaning in experiences of women who have had spontaneous abortion. Methods: A phenomenological methodology was used for the study. A total of five women with the spontaneous abortion participated in the study. In-depth interviews were done for data collection, and the data were analyzed using Colaizzi's method. Results: Five theme clusters, along with 32 sub-themes and 13 themes. The five theme clusters were: 'Waiting and expecting pregnancy', 'Desire to overcome the spontaneous abortion', 'My baby makes me cry and laugh', 'My precious baby', and 'Want to hear with sympathy and talk with you', Conclusion: The women who have had the spontaneous abortion experiences can prevent potential physical and psychological complications after miscarriage by getting education and intervention in nursing. Moreover, they may experience that negative factors of the spontaneous abortion can be turned into positive things through emotional support of family and medical teams.

Purpose: This study was conducted to understand the meaning of the DNR experiences of nurses. Methods: The data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and field records with five nurses from November 2009 to February 2011. The data were analyzed using narrative inquiry methodology. Results: Three fundamental themes were derived from data analysis as following: 'faithfulness to care for comfort,' 'helping for peaceful farewells between the patient and the family,' 'reflecting one's lives with a collision of feeling toward the death.' Conclusion: The results indicate that nurses take a role of an advocate in caring for DNR patients and being concerned about their families' conflict and anguish. In addition, this study indicates the importance of education on living will, advanced directives and preparation for the death tailored to the public including healthcare professionals.

In the course of modernization coupled with industrialization and urbanization. Maru or wooden floor and Teachong or great hall of Han-ok or traditional Korean housing has experienced functional as well as physical changes to a remarkable degree. The author made an analysis of the transfiguration of Maru/Taechong space(M/T) with relation to: 1)Madang or yard. 2)Anbang or inner room, 3)Hyon-kwan or vestibule. 1) In relation to Madang, interiorization of M/T by way of setting sliding glass doors has begun to appear. 2) In connection with Anbang, division of role/function is being observed as far as family entertainment and reception of intimate friends is concerned. 3) Owing to wider acceptance of Hyon-kwan space as a buffer zone system, the advent of Keo-sil or living room is thought to be facilitated. The analysis, however, does not say that Keo-sil of modernized Korean housing might well be interpreted as the mere extension type of M/T of the vernacular housing.
