금융시장에서 영업사원의 지각된 평가 공정성과 직무성과 간의 구조적 관계 (Structural Relationship between Salesperson's Perceived Evaluation Fairness and Job Performance in the Financial Market)

  • Purpose - Salesperson perceptions of the fairness and accuracy of a performance evaluation system were examined by managerial and professional employees of large organization. The performance evaluation process is central to many personal decisions such as attitude for job and sales performance. This study investigates the relationship between perceived evaluation fairness, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. The main purpose of this study is to develop and empirically test a comprehensive model of salespersons' perceived evaluation fairness on sales performance. For this purpose, we identified the structural relationship between perceived evaluation fairness, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. Also we investigate the mediating effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment between perceived evaluation fairness and sales performance. Research design, data, and methodology - To empirically test these relationships, data were collected by in-depth interviews from sales managers and questionnaire surveys from 300 salespersons who work for sales area (credit card company, insurance company). Demographically, the overall sample was 91.6% female, 77.9% 30s and 40s, and 34% college educated, with an average tenure with their present organizations of 4 years. The questionnaire was composed of total 20 items dealing with frequency, quality, and consequences of perceived evaluation fairness, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. To test the research hypotheses, collected data analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structure equation model (SEM). Results - Through extensive and rigorous literature review process of related literature(Perceived evaluation fairness, Job satisfaction, Organizational commitment, Sales performance), research model and research hypothesis was set up. This study obtains the following research results. First, perceived evaluation fairness has a positive effect on job satisfaction, whereas the effects of perceived evaluation fairness on organizational commitment and sales performance did not show statistically significant result. Second, job satisfaction and organizational commitment have complete mediating roles to the relationship between perceived evaluation fairness and organizational commitment, and relationship between perceived evaluation fairness and sales performance. Conclusions - Based on the results, salespersons' perceived evaluation fairness is one of the key independent variable for making high job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and sales performance. Finally the theoretical, managerial implication and research limitations are mentioned in the discussion.

Perceived values, price fairness, and behavioral intentions toward luxury fashion brands - A comparison of luxury, luxury-bargain, and non-luxury consumers -

  • This study examined whether and how consumers who seek a bargain in their shopping for luxury fashion brands differ from traditional luxury consumers or non-luxury consumers on their market-related attitudes. To do so, this study compared multi-dimensional perceived values, fairness price perceptions, satisfaction with purchase, brand loyalty, and future purchase intention among luxury consumers, luxury-bargain seekers, and non-luxury consumers. Data was obtained from online surveys and the market-related attitudes were compared using an ANOVA test. The comparion of three types of consumers revealed that luxury-bargain seekers and regular luxury consumers are distinct consumer markets. Overall, luxury consumers displayed high perceived values and brand loyalty and were fairly satisfied with the purchase at full-prices. On the other hand, luxury-bargain seekers showed significantly low perceived social value, perceived fairness toward the original price of the brands, and brand loyalty. They were satisfied with the bargain purchase but not likely to purchase the luxury at full-prices in the future. Understanding these distinct types of consumers and targeting them with different product and pricing strategies are important for luxury brands and retailers to expand luxury consumer base without diluting their brands' prestige image. Potential marketing strategies based on the findings of this study were suggested.

대학입시제도의 공정성에 대한 대학생들의 인식 연구: 근거이론적 접근 (Perception of College Students toward the Fairness of Korean College Admission System: A Grounded Theory Approach)

  • 우리나라의 대학입시제도가 근래 다양화되면서 제도의 공정성 문제가 꾸준히 제기되어오고 있다. 대학입시의 공정성에 대한 선행연구는 일반적인 정책대안 혹은 교사집단의 인식을 중심으로 이루어졌으나 이 연구는 대학입시제도의 가장 직접적인 당사자라고 할 수 있는 학생들이 대학입학전형제도의 공정성에 대해 느끼는 인식을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구는 대학생 11명의 인터뷰자료를 이용하여 근거이론(Grounded Theory) 방법을 적용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 인과적 조건은 수능시험위주에서 벗어난 대입전형의 다양화과정에서 일어난 잦은 제도의 변경이며, 중심현상은 절차적 측면과 분배적 측면에서의 근본적인 대입제도의 불공정성으로 나타났다. 또한 맥락적 조건으로는 서울과 지방의 차이를 중심으로 한 대학입학에 관한 정보와 인프라의 격차로 분석되었으며 중재적 조건으로는 정보화기술의 발전과 개인 혹은 집단 차원의 노력으로 분석되었다. 결론적으로 대학생들은 대학입학전형의 불공정성이 일회적 처방으로 해결할 수 없는 사회구조적인 문제를 배경으로 하고 있는 것으로 인식하고 있었다.

Exploration of High School Science Teachers' Perceptions on Instruction and Assessment of Science II Elective Courses in the 2015 Revised Curriculum

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the status of the field application of the Science II career electives with the application of the 2015 revised curriculum up to the 3rd year of high school. This study focused on examining high school science teachers' perceptions of the student-participatory class and process-centered assessment in Science II subjects, which are career-intensive high school science electives. A total of 192 science teachers responded to the survey questionnaire, and 12 teachers participated in interviews. In the in-depth interviews conducted to supplement the survey results, questions were asked about changes in the overall class, the status of student-participatory classes, and changes in the assessment of Science II subjects due to the emphasis on process-centered assessment. The main research results included teachers' perceptions of changes in teaching and assessment methods with the application of the revised curriculum, the degree to which the eight skills used in Science II classes develop the key competencies of science, and the teaching and assessment methods commonly used in Science II classes. Science teachers generally agreed with the purpose and necessity of introducing student-participatory classes and process-centered assessment, which are the core purpose of the 2015 revised curriculum. However, they had difficulties in practice due to the excessive content of Science II subjects. Problems were also encountered with securing objectivity and fairness during assessments and the operation of online science classes due to COVID-19.

The Influence of Consumers' Emotions on Brand Disappointment Caused by the Nepo-Baby Issue in Fashion Brands -Focusing on Powerlessness, Unfairness, Relative Deprivation, and Loneliness-

  • The term 'Nepo-baby' refers to someone whose career benefits from family connections. Criticism of the so-called Nepo-baby issue is growing, especially among the MZ generation, who highly value fairness. In this study, we explored how fashion consumers perceive the Nepo-baby issue and its impact on fashion brands. Consumers are more likely to compare themselves to Nepo babies and may experience feelings of powerlessness, unfairness, relative deprivation, and loneliness. These perceptions can lead to negative feelings toward the brand, resulting in disappointment. Our research hypotheses were tested using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 23.0. Fashion brands promoting Nepo babies affect consumers' self-perceptions of powerlessness, unfairness, relative deprivation, loneliness, and negative feelings. Brand disappointment was tested using a structural equation model. Using a multi-group path analysis, we investigated consumers' perceptions of the Nepo-baby issue and general brand stories. Our research results reveal the significant impact of controversial Nepo babies on negative feelings toward fashion brands and brand disappointment.

남자유아교사에 대한 교사와 학부모의 인식 비교 (A Comparative Study on Parents' and Female Teachers' Perceptions of Male Teachers in Early Childhood Education and Care Centers)

  • This was a comparative study, focusing on the perceptions of male teachers in early childhood educational settings on the part of both parents and female teachers at such institutions. The results of the research are as follows. First, regarding the question of whether it is necessary or not to employ qualified male teachers in early childhood education institutes, both the female teachers and the parents responded positively in general. Second, when analyzing the perceptions of the role of male teachers, both teachers and parents believed that male teachers would be able to help children to develop their potential. Third, the female teachers indicated that they believed that the male teachers may need to develop a stronger sense of vocation, fairness, and sincerity when engaging in early childhood education. According to the parents, female teachers generally show greater affection and magnanimity towards children. Fourth, when examining the female teachers' perceptions of the male teachers' teaching capabilities, the findings indicated that their opinions were generally that the capabilities of male teachers depend on their training and educational level. Fifth, when examining the parent's perceptions of the male teacher's teaching capabilities, the results revealed that those parents who have experience of male teachers gave higher ratings regarding their capabilities than those parents who had no previous experience of male teachers. Finally, it was observed that, when comparing the teacher group with the parent-group, the teacher-group assessed the male teachers' teaching abilities higher than the parent-group did.

다국적기업 제품신뢰의 선행요인과 성과: 글로벌 기업시민주의의 조절효과 (Antecedents and it's Consequence of Local Consumers Trust in MNC's Product: The Moderating Effect of Global Corporate Citizenship)

  • 신뢰와 고객충성도의 관계에 대한 선행연구들에 따르면, 현지 진출한 다국적기업들은 현지 소비자들의 신뢰를 얻음으로써 고객충성도를 강화할 수 있다. 본 연구는 한국에 진출한 다국적기업의 제품특성, 제품관련 서비스 커뮤니케이션, 지각된 가격공정성 등이 다국적기업 제품신뢰에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석함으로써 다국적기업 제품신뢰의 선행요인을 탐색하고자 하였다. 또한 글로벌 기업시민주의가 전 세계적으로 점점 요구되고 있는 현실에서 현지에 진출한 다국적기업이 기업시민으로서 사회적 책임을 다한다는 인식을 확보한다면 제품에 대한 신뢰형성에도 기여할 것으로 본다. 이러한 맥락에서 글로벌 기업시민주의가 신뢰와 그 선행요인간 관계를 조절할 것인지에 대한 분석을 함께 하였다. 조절 회귀분석을 통하여 가설을 검증한 결과, 다국적기업 제품신뢰에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 선행요인은 제품과 서비스 커뮤니케이션으로 나타났다. 제품관련 서비스 커뮤니케이션이 신뢰에 더 큰 영향력 요인이었다. 현지 소비자들은 다국적기업이 제공한 제품과 서비스에 대하여 신뢰를 하고 있다고 판단되므로 다국적기업들은 제품과 서비스로 이루어진 기업의 제품전략과 신뢰를 연계하고 소비자의 신뢰를 증진함으로써 고객충성도를 강화할 수 있도록 전략을 수립하여야 한다. 한편, 가격공정성 지각 가설은 기각되었으나 가격공정성 지각과 신뢰와의 관계에 글로벌 기업시민주의의 조절효과가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 이는 지각된 가격공정성은 다국적기업의 기업시민주의활동을 통해 선량한 기업으로 소비자에게 인지됨으로써 그 기업 제품에 대한 신뢰를 확보할 수 있음을 제시하는 것이다.

  • Purpose - Franchise industries are significant both socially and economically. However, with increasing interest, there are manifold problems. It is necessary to seek measures for mature operation constantly despite unprepared franchisors, negative perceptions of the media and society toward franchise, and rapid changes in business start-up trends and propensity to consume that make business start-ups difficult. The paper aims to explain the effects of relational commitment and performance on the franchisor's management characteristics and justice in the food service franchise system. Research design, data, and methodology - This is an exploratory survey examining franchising in Korea. Based on a literature synthesis, we extract five constructs: managerial characteristics, support, fairness, trust, and satisfaction. We hypothesize that these factors influence the trust, satisfaction, and performance of franchisees. To examine these hypotheses empirically, we conducted a survey on the database of the Franchising Council of Korea. The study employs data from May to September 2014. In total, 135 completed questionnaires were received, of which 128 were usable. The data was analyzed with SPSS/PC 22.0. First, to test unidimensionality and nomological validity of the measures of each construct, we employed a scale refinement procedure. The result of a reliability test with Cronbach's α and factor analysis warranted unidimensionality of the measures for each construct. In addition, nomological validity of the measures was warranted from the result of the correlation and regression analysis. By analyzing the data, we can confirm most hypotheses. Results - Frist, franchisor characteristics have a positive effect on trust and satisfaction. Second, franchisor fairness has an effect on trust and satisfaction. Third, franchisor support has an effect on satisfaction. Further, the franchisee trust has an effect on satisfaction. Fourth, the satisfaction of a franchisee with a franchisor affects the performance of a franchisee. Finally, there is a possibility that not only franchisee performance but also increasing the credibility and improving the image of the franchisor through communication between franchisor and franchisee can improve franchisees' performance and satisfaction by motivating the franchisee for sustainable growth. Franchisers should endeavor for franchisees to obtain stable revenue with continuous and practical support. They should recognize that they can expand their business by supporting their franchisees. Franchisors should not only instantly respond to franchisees' troubles with interactive communications but also raise the ability of supervisors for better support. Franchisors should share their visions and goals with their franchisees and provide systematic and continuous support based on trust and clear company management. Franchisees should understand franchisors' position as well as participate in establishing the basic franchise system. Contributions - The paper contributes to understanding franchising in Korea. It offers insights and assistance to franchisors hoping to start franchises. This paper explores measurement issues related to franchisee performance by estimating its determinant factors (managerial characteristics, support, fairness, trust, and satisfaction). This study provides franchisors and practitioners planning to extend their franchising business with some practical knowledge.

대학입학사정관제에 대한 고등학교 교사의 인식에 대한 연구: 면접전형을 중심으로 (A Study of High School Teachers' Perceptions on the Admissions Officer Interview System for College Admission: Focusing on the interview screening)

  • 본 연구는 고등학교 교사들의 인식을 통해 입학사정관제의 면접영역에 대한 평가와 입학사정관제도 전반의 개선방안에 대해 검토하였다. 대전지역 인문계 고교 교사들의 응답을 대상으로 기술통계분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들은 잠재력 평가와 관련하여 학생들의 가치관과 도전정신, 적극성 등을 중요한 요소로 평가하였고, 인성 평가와 관련하여 책임감과 공동체 의식, 갈등극복의 유연성을 중요하게 평가하였다. 이외에 입학사정관 전형에서 보강되어야 할 면접문항은 학생들의 의욕과 인생관, 창의성 등이었다. 둘째, 입학사정관제에 대한 만족도는 총 15점 중 9.34점으로 다소 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 입학사정관제의 운영 개선을 위한 방안으로는 선발과정의 공정성 확보를 가장 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 이에 본 연구를 통해 입학사정관의 전문성을 보장하고, 입학사정관제도의 개선방안을 위한 정책적 대안을 제시하였다.

전자상거래 B2C 플랫폼 농산물 시장효율성 분석에 관한 연구 -소비자의 가격공정성 관점 기준으로- (A Study on the Analysis of Market Efficiency of Agricultural Products in E-Commerce B2C Platform -Based on the Consumers' Price Fairness Perceptions-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중국 3대 전자상거래 플랫폼의 농산물 시장 효율성을 소비자 가격 공정성 인식의 관점에서 측정하고, 비효율적 브랜드의 품질과 가격 차이를 분석하여 농산물 판매 기업이 합리적인 가격 전략을 수립할 수 있도록 하기 위함이다. 본 연구에서는 전자상거래 플랫폼에서 판매되는 농산물의 특성(품질, 원산지, 맛, 안전성 수준)을 산출 지표로 하고, 제품 가격을 투입 지표로 선정하여 DEA 분석을 통해 시장의 효율성을 평가하였다. 분석 결과 효율적 브랜드의 비중은 JD몰이 가장 높고, YHD.com은 평균 시장 효율이 가장 높았으며, 동북 쌀은 3개 플랫폼에서 평균 효율성 차이가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 가격 비효율성이 여전히 전자 시장에 존재한다는 것을 보여준다. 농산물 온라인 시장의 발전을 위해서는 소비자 가격공정성에 주의하고 가격과 품질의 조화를 중시해야 한다. 이 논문의 한계점은 인터넷 시장에서 소비자 경험에 의한 입소문 마케팅의 영향력에 초점을 맞추지 않았다는 점이며, 이는 향후 연구 과제이다.
