Segmenting Fair-Trade Apparel Consumers Based on Product Knowledge

  • The purpose of this research was to develop a typology of fair-trade apparel consumers and present a clear overview of the influence of product knowledge on consumer behaviors. A two-step cluster analysis was used to classify respondents into sub-groups based on their level of self-perceived knowledge and purchase experience. In addition, ANOVA was used to test the predictive validity of the cluster solution. Income was the only demographic variable that significantly differed across groups. The more familiar and more experienced group had higher income than the other groups. Psychographic data showed that attitudes and moral norms varied across groups. The more familiar and more experienced group had more positive attitudes and higher level of moral norms than the less familiar and less experienced group. In terms of behavioristic data, groups differed significantly in purchase intentions and willingness to pay more for fair-trade apparel. That is, the more familiar and more experienced group was willing to pay more and had higher purchase intentions than the less familiar and less experienced group. Overall, the level of product knowledge and purchase experience were considerably low. This study thus confirmed the need to increase consumers' familiarity related to fair-trade apparel products.

Effect of Experience Marketing of Exhibition Factors in Flower Fair on Intension of Customer Purchase (화훼박람회 전시요인의 체험마케팅이 소비자 구매의향에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was to highlight the importance of elements of flower fair to organizer who organize flower fair in local community, to increase of participancy in flower fair exhibition with informing experience element and finally to increase incomes of flower farmhouse. To investigate degrees of interest of visitors on experience marketing of exhibition factors in flower fair, survey was conducted for 278 target audiences and data was analyzed to find the effect of experience marketing of exhibition factors in flower fair on the interest of purchasing. To population statistics, female took majority, 61.9% in sex, twenties, 34.5% in ages, married, 50.7% in marriage and students, 36.7% in job. University graduation occupied 58.3% in education, one million something, 48.6% in average income, seoul showed 38.1% in resident cities and 1st time visit was 79.9% in flower fair visit. For statistical categories, technology statistics analysis and reliability analysis were conducted. To check validity, factor analysis was conducted, and to see interrelationship of factors, using regression analysis, fluence among factors was analyzed. Results showed that exhibition environment of flower fair was effected by cultural elements, exhibition quality and exhibition service were effected by event and cultural element, exhibition marketing was effected by cultural and image element and purchasing interest was effected by image element.

  • This study is analyzed using the Shanghai stock market and Shenzhen stock market data in order to analyze the usefulness of accounting information to appear from the introduction of international accounting standards in China. Summarized the relevant previous researches for objective study approach, studied the hypothesis based on the empirical analysis and set a hypothesis as adjusting the stuffs to fix in this research model. In this study, Analyzed the hypothesis to input of detailed variables for analyzing the value relevance between periods before fair value and after fair value. Also, in this hypothesis study, analyzed and estimated to affect the quality of information the acceptant period when compare with acceptant periods and before periods of fair value. These results suggested that impact the net asset value per share and earnings per share of the company because the value of the relationship had statistically significant at the level of relevance. Therefore, in the future studies about fair value assessment, will be expected that usefulness of the enterprise value evaluation method enable to discuss it such as critical sucess factors.

  • This study was to segment The 2014 Korean Medicine-Bio Fair visitors based on fair quality factors. From the on-site survey at the destination, a total of 308 useful sample were collected and analyzed in SPSS 21.0. From factor analysis, the result shows 5 quality types of 'fair product', 'convenient facilities', 'accessibility', 'promotional information' and 'contents.' Also Three different segmented groups were derived form clusters analysis, which are 'accessibility preference group', 'promotion preference group', and 'high quality preference group.' The result of this study indicated that there were significant differences in demographic, satisfaction and behavioral variables between these three segments. More theoretical and practical implication were discussed in the conclusion section.

  • This study aims at suggesting a creative way of activating KOFURN (Korea Furniture) fair by analyzing its problem in studying its marketing strategy. The proposition is limited to the analysis of the matter for the strategy based on KOFURN's status in 2010 with its history. Through the related references and documents, the interview with the related people in KFFIC (Korea Federation of Furniture Industry Cooperatives) that has held the KOFURN fair since 2002, and its viewing in 2010, the materials were collected. As a result, first, there is no effectiveness following participating the fair; second, its public relations on the internet is not enough; third, the furniture-related firms don't make sure that KFFIC is able to do a good job for them; lastly, the companies, KFFIC, and consumers require better communication. Therefore, in order to resolve the four matters, first, the publicity on the internet needs to supplement creative ways of making KOFURN attract a lot of people. Second, KFFIC hosting KOFURN fair needs to offer an opportunity for the visitors to participate and experience a variety of events prepared by itself. Finally, KFFIC has necessity of building its better reliance which is able to lead the furniture-related firms by planning and carrying out various businesses with them.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the framework for innovation policy that the approach to popularization, diffusion, and S&T culture through the science and technology(S&T) fair. The innovation policy has a role which suggests direction to do behavior and concerns to social members. According to, this point of the diffusion of the S&T culture emerges the reasonable and adoptable innovation policy. Korean S&T fair have many problems, for example, a short historical background, lack of the fund and special human resource, so on. In this aspect, this study provides theoretical reviews and several issues for publicity of the innovation policy and S&T popularization and culture through the representative case-Future Tech Korea2006. Also, this study argues that "How to build and improve S&T fair", and "What the figure of S&T is that communicate and approach to people". Finally, the research for the S&T fair gives detailed and realized strategies for improving them.

  • RSVP-capable router supporting guaranteed services on the internet generally uses a packet scheduler based on the Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ) algorithm to secure required qualities of traffic flows. A RSVP-capable router based on the LOFQ (Latency optimized fair queuing) algorithm had been proposed to improve the performance of the WFQ-based RSVP-router, but it required not only the RESV message to be expanded but also its performance could be evaluated only through simulation. This paper proposed a LOFQ based RSVP-capable router using the conventional RESV message and developed an algorithm to analyze the performance of the LOFQ based RSVP-capable routers. The performance evaluation using the developed algorithm showed that in terms of performance improvement the proposed router is inferior to the one using the expanded RESV message under a small packet size, but on the range of a large packet size both routers provide the same improvement.

  • The purpose of this paper is to understand copyright exemption for libraries including Copyright Act Article 31. Especially, it is focused on the impacts on fair use article which is recently introduced in Korean Copyright Act. It looks into completely copyright exemption which libraries can make use of. And then it also rearranges the resources which library can use without the copyright owner's permission. Further, it explores the meanings of fair use and the detail requirements for adoption to library services. And it analyzed some cases which can be applied substantially for library services.

  • The WiMedia Alliance has specified a Distributed Medium Access Control (D-MAC) protocol based on UWB for high speed wireless home networks and WPANs. The WiMedia D-MAC fundamentally removes the problems of the centralized MAC revealed at IEEE 802.15.3 MAC, by adopting a distributed architecture. However, there is no completely distributed method for allocating fair data rates to all traffic streams by considering each stream's QoS parameter. In this paper, a novel fair distributed QoS admission control method is proposed. The proposed method is a fair, adaptive QoS provisioning method, by allocating time slots to devices according to the current traffic load condition, through executing only a proposed single satisfaction of QoS (SoQ) algorithm at each device.
