Design of Subject-based Community Model by Linkage Heterogeneous Content: Focused on Field of Biological Science

  • Researchers in Korea and elsewhere have carried out a wide variety of important research activities in their respective fields, producing valuable research results. For such diverse research results to be shared and exchanged among researchers working in the same discipline and research subject there needs to be a community environment based on free utilization of information. Against this backdrop, this study seeks to classify and reprocess the reference/factual content owned by the KISTI (Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information), a state-run distributor of information on science and technology, by the different research subjects. It also seeks to develop and provide a community model based on the concepts of open archiving and open access for the researchers specialized in the related fields of research. This community model is developed focusing on the research results from the field of bioscience, where the most extensive studies are currently being conducted. To develop the community model, this study: (a) surveys the current status of the content owned by KISTI; (b) analyzes the patterns and characteristics of biological scientific content among the KISTI-owned content; and (c) designs a web platform where researchers can freely upload/download research results.

온라인 구전의 정보방향과 평가내용이 구전효과에 미치는 영향 - 대학생의 휴대폰 구매 관련 온라인 구전을 중심으로 - (The Influences of Internet WOM(word Of Mouth) Information Valence and Contents to WOM Effects - Focus on Cell Phon Purchasing for Student via Online WOM -)

  • The present paper aims to examine the Influences of on line word of mouth(WOM) information valence and information contents to the information searcher. Specially, to examine the interaction effect it's two variables. For that purpose, we categorize WOM information valence into two subcategories; positive and negative, and WOM content into two subcategories; objective evaluation and subjective evaluation. We conducted experimentation design 2*2 and subjects are asked to their attitude and purchase intention after they are exposed each of four different types of WOM information. The result can be summarized as follow; First, the negative WOM has stronger effect on consumer's attitude and purchase intention than positive. Second, factual WOM has stronger effect on consumer's attitude and purchase intention than subject. Finally, when consumer face negative WOM, subjective WOM has more effect on consumer's attitude and purchase intention than factual. On the contrary, when consumer face positive WOM, factual WOM has more effect on consumer's attitude and purchase intention than subject. In conclusion, the korean Foreign Trade Act and other relative acts should be revised, and both educational services and health services should be contained within the definition of "the international trade" for the governmental benefits of supporting the services exportation.

고등학교 정보 교과서의 구성체계 및 학습목표 분석 (Analysis of the Organization Structure and Learning Objectives of High School Informatics Textbooks)

  • 본 연구에서는 2015 개정 교육과정에 기초한 고등학교 정보 교과서를 분석하였다. 내용 분석법으로 교과서의 구성체계를 분석하였으며, Anderson의 교육목표 분류법에 따라 학습목표를 분석하였다. 내용 분석법을 적용한 결과, 교과서는 교과 핵심역량을 증진할 수 있도록 활동, 수준별 학습, 소그룹 학습을 포함하여 구성하였다. 학습목표를 분석한 결과, 인지과정 측면에서 이해하다(41%), 개발하다(20%), 적용하다(18%)가 높았으며, 지식의 유형 측면에서는 개념(45%)이 가장 높고, 이어서 절차(32%), 사실(12%)이 높게 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 교과서의 개선 방안을 제안하였다.

Beyond Factual Knowledge and Symbolic Competence: Interculturality as Transcultural Intersubjectivity

  • The trend of globalization has sharpened the debate on interculturality, which scholars examine from different and often conflicting points of view ('content' vs. 'practice', 'culture-specific' vs. 'universal', 'communication (meta)theory' vs. 'communication practice', 'individual' vs. 'collective', etc.). Whereas all these approaches are necessary to describe the multiple dimensions of interculturality, their dichotomous nature does not help to account for its internal complexity, which cannot be dissociated from the connections that exist among all these dimensions. The difficulty posed by the essentialist interpretations that tend to result from these dichotomies is compounded by the fact that in postmodern debates priority has been given to approaches that emphasize individual or collective agency over structural constraints which have to do with political economy or with cultural and linguistic codes and traditions. This paper aims mainly at suggesting that the dissolution of the boundaries that exist between these approaches should be pursued in order to get a fuller and richer approach to their common object of study. After discussing, by way of illustration, content-based and practice-based perspectives, we suggest that one way of getting beyond these dichotomies consists in focusing on the 'interactional' dimension of interculturality, which means laying emphasis on intersubjectivity and, particularly, on the individual subjects considered as members of different cultural communities who strive to transcend their sociocultural boundaries in order to reach harmonious interactions in a world in which inequality and the de-territorialization of people and cultures are central features.

How Long Will Your Videos Remain Popular? Empirical Study with Deep Learning and Survival Analysis

  • One of the emerging trends in the marketing field is digital video marketing. Online videos offer rich content typically containing more information than any other type of content (e.g., audible or textual content). Accordingly, previous researchers have examined factors influencing videos' popularity. However, few studies have examined what causes a video to remain popular. Some videos achieve continuous, ongoing popularity, while others fade out quickly. For practitioners, videos at the recommendation slots may serve as strong communication channels, as many potential consumers are exposed to such videos. So,this study will provide practitioners important advice regarding how to choose videos that will survive as long-lasting favorites, allowing them to advertise in a cost-effective manner. Using deep learning techniques, this study extracts text from videos and measured the videos' tones, including factual and emotional tones. Additionally, we measure the aesthetic score by analyzing the thumbnail images in the data. We then empirically show that the cognitive features of a video, such as the tone of a message and the aesthetic assessment of a thumbnail image, play an important role in determining videos' long-term popularity. We believe that this is the first study of its kind to examine new factors that aid in ensuring a video remains popular using both deep learning and econometric methodologies.

고위험신생아 간호교육에서의 다큐멘터리 활용에 대한 탐색적 연구 (Application of a Documentary about High-risk Newborns in Nursing Education: An Exploratory Study)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore nursing students' recognition and understanding of the clinical environment of high-risk neonatal nursing care after watching a documentary about the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where high-risk newborns are treated. Methods: This study was a qualitative content analysis. In total, 151 nursing students' personal essays describing their reactions to a documentary about the NICU were analyzed using the NVivo 12 program. Results: Nursing students' experiences of engaging with a documentary about the NICU were structured into four thematic categories: 'actual observations of the imagined NICU', 'observation and recognition of nursing knowledge', 'empathy with people related to the baby', and 'establishing attitudes and values as a nurse'. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that documentaries can be applied in nursing education about high-risk newborns.

지속가능한 도시재생을 위한 도시기본계획 평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of local comprehensive plan for sustainable urban regeneration)

  • The goal of this study is to examine municipality comprehensive plans by recognizing the problem that adverse impacts of urban regeneration impede the sustainability of specific renewal project. 10 major cities in Korea that are experiencing urban decline were chosen for the study area and plan evaluation indexes were adopted based on the sustainable urban regeneration principles in terms of environmental, social, and economic aspects. Plan evaluation was conducted by employing the content analysis method and developed assessment indexes for three sectors (factual basis, goal/objective, and policy/action) of plan. The findings show that policies, such as 'expansion of parks in urban area,' 'pedestrian-oriented street improvement project,' and 'countermeasures for local industry revitalization,' should be fundamentally included in adopting sustainable urban regeneration plans. Plan scores regarding sustainable urban regeneration had an insignificant relationship with the status of administrative district and plan adopted year. This is because metropolitan municipalities, including Ulsan, Daejeon, and Daegu, received relatively low plan score compared to local governments like Goyang and Suwon. Also, Daegu and Suwon, which established their comprehensive plan in 2018 obtained lower score than Seoul and Incheon, where its plans were created before 2015. Evaluation protocol and indexes that were suggested in this study can be used while reorganizing each locality's comprehensive plan, and thus, play as one of major bases in preparing future sustainable urban regeneration projects.

Application of ChatGPT text extraction model in analyzing rhetorical principles of COVID-19 pandemic information on a question-and-answer community

  • This study uses a large language model (LLM) to identify Aristotle's rhetorical principles (ethos, pathos, and logos) in COVID-19 information on Naver Knowledge-iN, South Korea's leading question-and-answer community. The research analyzed the differences of these rhetorical elements in the most upvoted answers with random answers. A total of 193 answer pairs were randomly selected, with 135 pairs for training and 58 for testing. These answers were then coded in line with the rhetorical principles to refine GPT 3.5-based models. The models achieved F1 scores of .88 (ethos), .81 (pathos), and .69 (logos). Subsequent analysis of 128 new answer pairs revealed that logos, particularly factual information and logical reasoning, was more frequently used in the most upvoted answers than the random answers, whereas there were no differences in ethos and pathos between the answer groups. The results suggest that health information consumers value information including logos while ethos and pathos were not associated with consumers' preference for health information. By utilizing an LLM for the analysis of persuasive content, which has been typically conducted manually with much labor and time, this study not only demonstrates the feasibility of using an LLM for latent content but also contributes to expanding the horizon in the field of AI text extraction.

다양한 지식 차원에 기반한 도형 기초 다자인 과정 플립클라스룸으로 효율성 연구 (Study on the Effectiveness of a Graphic Basic Design Course Based on Different Dimensions of Knowledge in a Flipped Classroom)

  • 본문의 연구목적은 디자인 교육의 도형 기초 다자인 과정에서 다양한 지식차원의 교육콘텐츠에 대한 플립러닝 수업모델의 효율성을 테스트하고, 도형 기초 다자인 과정을 대상으로 한 플립러닝 수업방안 및 의견을 제시함으로써 교육효과를 높이는 데 있다. 블룸의 교육목표 분류학의 지식차원을 사용하여 도형 기초 다자인 과정의 교육내용을 분류하고, 120명의 학생을 4개의 실험조로 나눈 다음, 다양한 지식차원과정 콘텐츠의 플립러닝 학습을 각각 진행하고, 수업 전에 실시한 테스트와 수업 이후 실시한 테스트를 통해 실험데이터를 얻어 분석을 진행하였다. 그 중 사실성과 개념성 지식 수업의 경우 자기주도적 학습, 절차성과 메타인지 부류의 지식수업에서의 플립러닝 수업방식은 학습의 적극성을 유발하여 학습효율을 높일 수 있다. 연구결과와 학생의 피드백을 근거로 도형 기초 다자인 과정 콘텐츠의 분류방법 및 도형 기초 다자인 과정 플립러닝모델에 대한 수업전략을 제시하였다.

조직 구성원의 지식기여도 평가 도구 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of an Instrument for Knowledge Contribution Assessment)

  • 본 연구는 조직구성원의 지식기여도를 객관적으로 측정하기 위한 평가항목 및 각 항목의 가중치를 개발하고자 하는 연구이다. 평가항목의 개발을 위해 연역적 방법과 가중치 개발을 위해 델파이 기법이 각각 사용되었다. 평가항목의 도출을 위해 우선 '지식기여'에 대하여 정의를 내리는 것으로 출발하였다. 도출된 정의를 기초로, 지식기여의 형태는 크게 형식적 기여와 암묵적 기여로 구분되었다. 형식적 기여는 기여하는 지식의 내용에 따라 사실지와 방법지로 구분되었다. 사실지는 구체적으로 방법지 산출물과 기타 사실지로, 방법지는 방법지 매뉴얼과 체득된 방법지로 구분되었다. 암묵적 기여는 암묵성 정도에 따라 대리, 시범, 질의응답(Q&A) 세가지로 구분되었다. 7가지 지식기여 요소에 대한 평가는 양적 측면과질적 측면에서 이루어졌다. 본 연구는 조직구성원의 지식기여의 활동결과는 지식관리시스템(KMS)에 저장되는 것을 전제로 하고 있다. 지식관리시스템 상에서의 형식적 기여의 경우 양적인 평가에서는 게시건수 혹은 수행건수로, 질적인 평가에서의 평가는 조회건수나 만족도 평가, 요청 받은 건수 등으로 측정하였다. 이상과 같이 연역적 방법에 의해 평가요소 및 평가항목들을 개발하고 각 평가항목들에 대한 가중치분석을 위해 전체를 100으로 하였을 때의 각 항목의 가중치를 정하기 위해 전문가들의 의견을 조합하는 델파이기법이 사용되었다. 델파이 결과, 형식적 기여 차원과 암묵적 기여 차원에 동일한 가중치가 부여되었으며, 형식적 기여차원에서는 사실지 보다는 방법지에 가중치가 좀더 부여되었고, 암묵지 기여 차원에서는 질의응답 - 시범 - 대리의 순으로 가중치가 부여되었다. 이를 통해 '타인의 지식 획득과 활용에 도움을 주는 지식기여행위가 되기 위해서는 어떤 형태로든 지식 제공자와 지식 수여자간의 밀접한 상호작용이 높아야 하며, 제공자의 지식이 타인에게 빠르게 그리고 잘 전달될 수록 지식기여도가 높다'라는 결론이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 지식기여 활동에 대한 평가 지표를 마련하였다는 점에서 의의가 크다 하겠으나, 업종별이나 산업별로 세분화된 평가 지표 마련에는 미흡하였다. 또한 항후 지식 경영을 도입하여 시행한 연수에 비추어서 평가 항목별 가중치를 부여를 할 수 있다면 보다 정교한 평가도구의 제공이 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
