  • This article aims to determine the interrelation among exfoliation strength, the repeated laundry number, the coefficient of friction and the cover factor about the fusible interlining produced by using different amount resin. The practicality of stiffness and warmth of the fusible interling were examined. The results are summarized as follows: 1) As a factor that affecting the exfoliation strength of fusible interlining, the coefficient of friction and the cover factor about the fusible interlining produced by using different amount resin. (2) Regardless of the weight of the resin, the exfoliation strength of fusible interlining declined gradually as the repeated laundry number increased. This tendency arises much more in the case of the filament yarn fabric than in that of the spun yarn fabric. The stability of the exfoliation strength was better, regardless of the increase of the repeated laundry number, when the weight of the weight of the resin was 10 g/$m^2$. (3) The spun yarn fabric, which has more fuzz than the filament yarn fabric, is more suitable for the fabric of fusible interlining. The smaller the cover factor difference between the face cloth and the interlining cloth, the stronger the exfoliation strength. (4) When the stability of the shape is a necessary factor in the consumption of the fusible interlining, a resin weight of 20 g/$m^2$ is the most suitable; however when stiffness and warmth are necessary factors, a resin weight of 10 g/$m^2$ is the most suitable.

  • Litho printing ink vehicles based on rosin modified phenolic are faster drying, have better durability, are harder and glosser and have greater resistance to water than ones based on ester gums. Ink-Water balance and rheological properties are important in litho printing process. These physical properties is concerned with molecular weight of Resin to use vehicle. So this paper was studied about the effects of changing molecular weight of Rosin modified phenolic on surface tension, viscosity, pseudoplasticity and printablility of Litho Inks. The results were as follows. 1) The surface tension of model inks depended on the molecular weight of the resin : Dispersion componnent of ink increase but non dispersion component decrease as molecular weight of Resin increase. 2) Water pick-up of litho ink is more fast balance, using low molecular weight of Resin. 3) Viscosity, Yield value and Newtonian value of model inks increase as molecular weight of Resin increase. 4) The litho ink prepared with the modified phenolic of which molecular weight is about 20000 showed the highest printing density and gloss.

  • Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα) is a representative marker for inflammation. Silk sericin is known as mild TNFα inducer. The purpose of this study was to compare the level of TNFα among different fractions of silk sericin. Silk sericin was extracted from cocoon and separated it by molecular weight. Each fraction was applied to RAW264.7 cells. The level of TNFα was evaluated by western blot and ELISA assay. In results, the level of TNFα was increased as time-dependent manner. Higher molecular weight fraction of sericin induced higher amount of TNFα than lower molecular weight fraction. In conclusion, different molecular weight fraction of sericin induced TNFα differently.

  • In this paper, a weight function theory for the calculation of the mode III stress intensity factor in a rectilinear anisotropic body is formulated. This formulation employs Lekhnitskii's formalism for two dimensional anisotropic materials. To illustrate the method used for the weight function theory, we calculated the mode III stress intensity factor in a single edge-notched configuration.

  • Typical meteorological data is fundamental to computer simulation introduced for environment-friendly architecture designs. Therefore, in order to improve accuracy of computer simulation, typical meteorological data should be established. By examining how to choose typical meteorological data, this study selected the optimized weight factor for TRY where weighting factor was not clearly set. As a result, the same weighting factor was applied to each climatic element and TRY data where the weight factor was applied could have the distribution very similar to measurement data. The weighting factor is considered to reflect geographical characteristics of Seoul and applied climatic elements.

  • In determining the horizontal positions, economic, speedy, and accurate analytical adjustment methods have studied and developed for a long time. From now on, the adjustment methods using both angles and distances are expected because the development of more precise instruments, E.D.M, and electronic total station provide us with more advantages than the conventional measurement system. The objective of this paper is to study the characteristics of triangulation, trilateration, and combination method due to change of the weight factor of angles, distances, azimuthes, and control point coordinates of combined geodetic network. The results of this study show that combined method is more accurate and effective than other methods in case of combined geodetic network as the other simple networks.

  • Cracks at mechanical fastener holes usually nucleate as elliptical comer cracks at the faying surface of the mechanical joints and grow as elliptical arc through cracks. The weight function method for elliptical arc through cracks at mechanical fastener holes has been developed and verified in the part I of this study. In part H, applying the weight function method, the effects of the amount of clearance on the mixed-mode stress intensity (actors are investigated and the change of crack shape is predicted from the analysis for various crack shapes. The stress intensity factors leer inclined crack are analyzed and critical angle at which mode I stress intensity factor becomes maximum is determined.

  • This study was aimed to provide the measurement data and shape classification of the head of the Korean female children for the headwear sizing systems. Four hundred nineteen female children, aged nine to twelve years, participated for this study. The 19 regions on the head and height, weight of the subjects were directly measured by the expert experimenters. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, GLM analysis and Tukey HSD test were performed using these data. Through factor analysis, five factors were extracted upon factor scores and those factors comprised $71.318\%$ for the total variances. Three clusters as their head shape were categorized using fiver factor scores by cluster analysis. Type 1 was characterized by the widest head width, Bitragion arc, and shortest head length, and medium height and weight. Type 2 had the longest head length and the widest side head width and the highest head circumference, and highest height and largest weight. Type 3 was characterized by the medium head length, smallest head circumstance, narrowest head width and side head width, and smallest height and weight.

  • Bridge engineering documents have essential contents that must be referenced continuously throughout a structure's entire life cycle, but research related to the quality of the contents is still lacking. XML schema matching is an excellent technique to improve the quality of stored data; however, it takes excessive computing time when applied to documents with many contents and a deep hierarchical structure, such as bridge engineering documents. Moreover, it requires a manual parametric study for matching elements' weight factors, maintaining a high matching accuracy. This study proposes an efficient weight-factor determination method based on an artificial neural network (ANN) model using the simplified XML schema-matching method proposed in a previous research to reduce the computing time. The ANN model was generated and verified using 580 data of document properties, weight factors, and matching accuracy. The proposed ANN-based schema-matching method showed superiority in terms of accuracy and efficiency compared with the previous study on XML schema matching for bridge engineering documents.

  • In this paper, new high-efficiency zero voltage switching (ZVS) AC-DC boost converter is proposed to achieve power factor correction by simplifing energy recovery circuit. A lot of high power factor correction circuits have been proposed and applied to increase input power factor and efficiency. Most of these circuits may obtain unity power factor and achieve sinusoidal current waveform with zero voltage or/and zero current switching. However, it is difficult for them to obtain low cost, small size, low weight, and low noise. The topology proposed to improve these problems can compact the devices in circuit and can achieve high efficiency ZVS AC-DC boost converter. Simulation and experimental results show that this topology is capable of obtaining high power factor and increasing the efficiency of the system.
