  • In this paper, a multiple coupling inductor with expandable-integrated magnetic structure was proposed to enable miniaturization of external switched mode power supply (SMPS) for a large display. Inductance formula of the proposed inductor structure was derived through magnetic circuit analysis for a simple inductance designing process. The proposed inductor was applied into a 1kW class interleaved bridgeless power factor correction circuit which requires four inductors, and experimental steady state result of the circuit was compared. According to the experimental result, it was found that the proposed multiple coupling inductor shows the electrical characteristics that can replace the conventional separated inductors and is suitable for miniaturization of the SMPS since the circuit configuration is possible with one shared inductor.

  • Objective : Depressive symptoms often coexist with other anxiety disorder symptoms. Furthermore, an anxiety disorder that is comorbid with a depressive disorder results in more severe symptoms and a poorer outcome prognosis. To understand the construct of depressive symptoms in anxiety disorder, this study investigated the factor structure of the Beck Depression Inventory among outpatients with anxiety disorders. Methods : All data were from psychiatric department outpatients at a university-affiliated hospital. We conducted a principal component analysis using data from 194 outpatients with DSM-IV anxiety disorders and calculated goodness-of-fit-indices. Results : Exploratory factor analysis revealed a four factor structure--Cognitive-affective symptoms (Factor 1), Somatic symptoms (Factor 2), Self-reproach (Factor 3), and Hypochondriasis/indecisiveness (Factor 4)--and a 57% total variance. This four-factor model demonstrated an acceptable level of model fit, and it fit better than did a three-factor solution from the literature on depressive disorder. Conclusion : This study's results suggest a difference in the construct of self-reported depressive symptoms in anxiety disorders. These findings also support a dimensional approach to studying anxiety and depression. Further studies may benefit from including comorbid depressive disorder and its influence on anxiety disorders.

  • Backgrounds : Bojungikgitang is one of the most common herbal prescriptions in Oriental Medicine, and it is highly recommended prescription for Nogwonsang syndrome. The Author developed Nogwonsang questionnaire for quantitative evaluation. Nogwonsang questionnaire is consisted of causes that induce fatigue, symptoms that directly associated with fatigue, and secondary symptoms that is induced from fatigue. Purposes : This study aims to verify whether the Bojungikgitang Questionnaire has causality and meaningful path structure by path analysis. Methods : 242 patients from 12 OMD clinics participated in this study. The patients executed a question investigation in the object. Factor analysis was conducted for extraction of factor and abridgment of items. Path analysis was conducted to verify path structure. SPSS 15.0 for Windows and AMOS 7.0 were used for statistical analysis. Results : Overwork factor explains fatigue factor. Coefficient is 0.771. Fatigue factor explains digesting and cold factor. Individually coefficient is 0.632 and 0.465. Model fit is $X^2=61.395$(df=51), GFI=0.960, AGFI=0.939, NFI= 0.924, CFI=0.986, RMSEA=0.029. Path structure is proved to be significant. Conclusions : Further research is needed Gold standard of Nogwonsang. Establishment of Gold standard leads and the collection of data and the research which are objective are possible. Connection of the clinical indexes which are objective on the paperweight outside and leads and the development of the diagnosis tool which is fixed quantity is demanded.

  • This study analyzes the intellectual structure in domestic research of the Housing field, by utilizing text mining technique. Unlike the existing research that mainly uses text clustering in statistical analyses to identify subject specialties, core authors, and relationships between research areas, this study applied author profiling and factor analysis. To supplement the analysis of intellectual structure generated by text mining, and to perform evaluation on intellectual structure itself, two professionals in the housing field were interviewed. The intellectual structure, generated through text mining, was evaluated and showed its division of valid research areas that is slightly different from the traditional intellectual structure in the housing field.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the factor structure of the Adolescent Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI-A) in a standardized adolescent sample using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Methods : For this purpose, three models about factor structure of the PAI-A were explored with EFA in 490 adolescents and then were evaluated with CFA in 268 young offenders. Results : The results showed that the five factor model was considered to be most appropriate for factor structures of the PAI-A in EFA. However, none of the factor models were appropriate for the factor structures of the PAI-A in CFA. Conclusion : These findings suggest that the "five factor model" is thought to explain the PAI-A the best, but further studies are needed.

  • In this paper, to propose guideline of modular design for improvement of ease of disassembly, product structure must be considered. By analyzing characteristics of structure of subassembly, influencing factor of module can be defined and classified. Based on determination factor of influencing factor of module, criteria for improvement of ease of disassembly can be obtained through the interrelationship between product and process factors.

  • In the present paper we suggested a parallel-branch structure of aluminum spiral inductor for the use of RF integrated circuit at 1∼3 GHz. The inductor was implemented on P-type silicon wafer (5∼15 Ω-cm) under the standard CMOS process and it showed a improved quality(Q) factor by more than 10% with no degradation of inductance. The effect of the structure modification on the Q factor and the inductance was scrutinized comparing with those of the conventional spiral inductors.

  • Recently, the various performances of vehicle are rapidly improved. Therefore tire noise is recognized as important noise source because vehicle noise is considerably reduced. This study is performed for the control of the cavity resonance noise that is structure-borne noise, due to fluid(air)-structure interaction. For this investigation, FRF analysis has been carried out using FEM and we found an important factor affecting cavity resonance. The effect of this factor is confirmed by objective noise test. We confirmed that the result of FRF analysis and objective noise test is that the structure control of tire sidewall can reduce cavity resonance noise due to fluid-structure interaction

  • The Lie algebra analogue of Schur's result which is proved by Moneyhun in 1994, states that if L is a Lie algebra such that dimL/Z(L) = n, then $dimL_{(2)}={\frac{1}{2}}n(n-1)-s$ for some non-negative integer s. In the present paper, we determine the structure of central factor (for s = 0) and the factor Lie algebra $L/Z_2(L)$ (for all $s{\geq}0$) of a finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebra L, with n-dimensional central factor. Furthermore, by using the concept of n-isoclinism, we discuss an upper bound for the dimension of $L/Z_n(L)$ in terms of $dimL_{(n+1)}$, when the factor Lie algebra $L/Z_n(L)$ is finitely generated and $n{\geq}1$.

  • The optical performance of the reflective polarizer was investigated over three kinds of direct-lit backlights and/or different configurations of the optical sheets. The optical gain factor achieved by using the reflective polarizer increased as the diffuse nature of the optical sheet was enhanced, because of the more efficient polarization conversion. In addition, the gain factor decreased substantially in flat-lamp backlights compared to tubular-lamp backlights, which was ascribed to the high loss factor during the polarization recycling process due to the complex structure and large area of flat lamps. All these results suggested that reducing the loss factor of the backlight is very important for efficient polarization conversion and thus high optical gain of the reflective polarizer.
