This study examined foodservice management performance in child-care centers and suggests ways in which meal service quality can be improved. Questionnaires were distributed to 51 child-care facilities. The majority of respondents were facility directors (dietitians) and their facility type was tax-paid (92.2%). The dietitian response rate was 51.0%, and the majority (96.2%) were hired with co-management status, visiting a facility once a week (76.0%). Only 52.1% of the facilities had menu planning by a dietitian, and improvements were needed in terms of planning menus with standardized recipes, especially for infant meals. The monthly food cost per child was 47,394 won, and the labor cost for a co-management dietitian was 3,670 won per child, indicating 21.8% and 1.8% of the tuition fee, respectively. Other necessary improvements included: more reliable food purchasing management, securing additional foodservice equipment, and better sanitation management. In addition, respondents rated the following as requirements to ensure high quality meal service: 'modernized foodservice equipment and facilities', 'government financial support', and 'information on nutrition and foodservice management provided by dietitians'. Based on the study results, the following are recommendations for improving meal service quality in child-care centers: Dietitian placement should be extended to facilities of over 50-capacity in addition to their current placement in facilities of over 100-capacity, and co-management dietitians should have their control span restricted to two facilities instead of five. Finally, nationwide nutrition support plans and nutrition education programs should be developed and implemented by dietitians, and their roles should be extended to foodservice mangers as well as nutrition teachers.
Currently in the drought evaluation, which is a supplier-oriented standard that applies storage rates of reservoirs, evaluation for users that use agricultural water is not done. Therefore, this study established drought evaluation items for drought evaluation based on farmers' judgement, conducted a survey on farmers and experts, compared and analyzed weighted value between two groups, and then classified the evaluation standards per each evaluation item. The agricultural drought evaluation items are 5 major items of water supply lapse rate, agricultural weather, agricultural irrigation facility, crop and soil, and 12 subsections for regional characteristics and opinions of consumers that use water to be reflected. The result of analyzing weighted value of farmers and experts' major items shows that farmers is agricultural irrigation facility(0.219), water supply lapse rate(0.211), agricultural weather(0.204), crop(0.183) and soil(0.183). Experts is agricultural weather(0.297), agricultural irrigation facility(0.202), water supply lapse rate(0.189), crop(0.162) and soil(0.150), which displays difference between the two groups. The agricultural drought criteria standards are established based on precedent studies and cases, and grades of evaluation items are 1st grade(extreme stage), 2nd grade(warning stage), 3rd grade(alert stage) and 4th grade(attention stage). The above analysis per each consumer-oriented agricultural drought evaluation item and the analysis on the standards of evaluation grades are expected to be used as a basic resource for establishing agriculture drought policy and selecting drought area in the future.

Purpose: Mental health facilities are facing a new social environment. To provide appropriate patient care environment, mental health and mental healthcare is changing the paradigm. In this situation, this study research and analysis mental healthcare service system and mental healthcare facility in Germany. The reason is that Germany has cosistently been building mental healthcare service system and mental healthcare facility for patient. Therefore, it aims to suggest a fundamental resource for amental healthcare service system and mental healthcare facility for mental healtn. Methods: This study was conducted literature researches and field studies. Literature researches for mental healthcare service system and facilities. Field study is to identify the characteristic and configuration of mental healtncare facilities. Results: Findings of this study can be summerrized inth three points. First, In Germany, Mental healthcare facility is critical environment in the community. And, the facilities are being turned into reasonable and alternative environment. Second, Facilities of Mental healthcare and service system designed by various level and configurations that can be providing places for people with mental problems. Third, Mental healthcare facilities consist of healing environment for patient. Implications: The future study on finding of the specific environment planning citeria in mental healthcare facility on the basis of findings of present study.

The study on the existing multi-utility tunnel has examined the general aspects related to the installation of multi-utility tunnel rather than the optimal design and feasibility analysis of accommodation facility in multi-utility tunnel. In the basic planning stage related to the introduction of multi-utility tunnel, it is difficult to determine accommodation facility due to lack of relevant indicators and data. In this paper, VE/LCC analysis method is suggested for the optimal alternative decision of accommodation facilities in multi-utility tunnel. The analysis of the items of individual accommodation facility and the value index for LCC costs were applied to the kind alternatives, and the priorities of each kind were analyzed. In addition, the domestic multi-utility tunnel and analysis result are compared. The result of this study will be helpful to shorten the time and convenience of the user in the process of determining accommodation facility including the first designers when introducing multi-utility tunnel.

To obtain base-line data in the low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste disposal facility, radiological environment investigation is required at least two years prior to the facility operation near the disposal facility. The investigation has been performed since January 2007 for the Wolsong LILW disposal center. In this paper, investigation procedure and detailed information obtained for six months in 2008 are described. Based on the current results, future investigation planning is also discussed for the radiological environment management of the disposal facility.

Purpose: This study is for the facility eligibility and improvement evaluation analysis for the patient care environment of 7 facilities which has national inpatient isolation units. Methods: For the evaluation, first of all, the patient care environment of national inpatient isolation units are scrutinized by the checklist which is used on from 2014 with the 4 fields of criteria : architectural planning and layout, general requirement and condition for operating the negative pressured isolated patient room, HVAC system, and waste water discharging system. Finally, the evaluation results are compared with that of 2014. Results: The result shows that the average value of facility eligibility is 89.3 percent and which is 8.9 percent higher than the value before the MERS occurred. Implications: It is clear that facility remodeling of 7 institutions is being performed continuously, and the result of facility eligibility evaluation is reflected on design of a new 21 national inpatient isolation units those are going to be constructed from 2016. Therefore, it is expected that this study is used as a practical reference to establish the criteria of patient care environment management and safety management for both infectious disease outbreak and general service condition.
Purpose: Currently, port facility informatization technology is focused on the planning and design phases, so the necessity of research and technology development on the port facility maintenance system based on life cycle-level information is emphasized. Method: Based on the maintenance history data of port facilities and facility operation information, from the perspective of the life cycle of port facilities, the system is configured to enable maintenance decisions for port facilities through analysis of aging patterns, performance degradation prediction models, and risk analysis and proposed a method of expressing information. Result: A function was developed to simultaneously display the SOC performance evaluation and the comprehensive performance evaluation developed in this study, so that mid-to long-term maintenance and reinforcement and facility expansion can be applied and comparatively judged. Conclusion: The integrated port performance system developed in this study induces and supports the risk minimization of port facility management by proactively promoting appropriate repair and reinforcement measures through historical and operational information on port facilities.

This study analyzes universities in Japan, which haves many similarities with those in Korea in certain aspects of the educational system and a common problem of reduced university admission resources, Korea's national university facility standards, policy related to nation-level university facility, and practical campus case. Through this, the study aims to examine the difference in the national approach and basic philosophy about university facilities in Korea and Japan, and also identify the major planning factors and improvement directions when establishing plans for university campuses in the future. The results of this study are as follows. First, Korea tends to promote policies related to university facilities by individual projects centered on a major pending problem or issue, while Japan has been shown to promote national university facility policies under a comprehensive mid-to-long-term plan by establishing a maintenance plan aimed at national university facilities every five years. Second, In the case of the university facility areas, the average university facility area of the examined universities in Japan is about 5.6% larger than the average university facility area in Korea. Additionally, the university facility area per student in Japan is about 13% wider than that of Korea. The total floor area of university facilities in Japan is also about 20.7% larger than that of Korea, and the university facility area per student in Japan is about 56.7% wider than that of Korea as well. Among support facilities, the total floor area of dormitories in Korea was 2.5 times wider than that of Japan, however, the acceptance rate of dormitory in Korea was 5.6% higher than Japan. Third, the university facility criteria items and systems of two countries are similar. but there are slight differences in the content such as the method of calculating student capacity, division classification, and the method of calculating the number of teachers.
The purposes of this study were to investigate importance level and performance frequency of the dietitians' duties and task elements, to examine the actual condition of education and need for education, to analyze the interrelation between their tasks and education, and to provide the direction of education for the contracted Business & Industry (B & I) foodservice dietitians. The task elements of receiving, ordering, HACCP management and directing serving process were done almost every day. In terms of the importance of tasks, food sanitation management, personnel sanitation management, receiving and ordering were high. Meanwhile, the computerization of their works was being carried out on the whole, showing a higher frequency in all the details of procurement management and accounting management, as well as task elements such as menu planning, leftover and food waste management, HACCP management and human resource management. In the past three years, HACCP management, cost management, planning work schedule and allotting a task, general business and sale bond management were increased most and rapidly. For the actual condition of education, dietitians got more education for the duty of sanitation, safe and facility/utility management than any other duty, while they did less education of procurement management and office management than others. Meanwhile, the education for sanitation, safe and facility/utility management and accounting management were very much required. For the relationships of frequency of duty and the necessity of education, seven task elements including food sanitation management were correlated positively. Eighteen tasks besides menu planning had a significant positive correlation between the importance of duties and the necessity of education.
Tourism and recreation spots in Korea have been developed metropolitan cities-oriented that facility construction has too much importance in local tourist site development more than satisfaction and experience. Tourism hardly seems to play its role as a motive power even in locals where tourism occupies much in their economic development. Therefore, the ministry of culture & tourism has introduced a plan to discover cultural and tourism resources as a development alternative which handles theme-ability and specialization. However, most projects of local tourism resources developed since 1999 have resulted similar features comparing to previous and existing tourist spots. And the main objectives of this paper have not been realized very well. This research hence forth suggests a program-based model development in tourism resources, with a case study of Gokun-gugok, one of the historical and cultural sites and is located in Hwachon-gun, Gangwon Province. Main points include: Since the Gokun-gugok landscape has been undermined and been loosed the traditional cultural value due to the road development, this study intends to plan to make the adventure of tourism destination including restoring the site as a cultural place. The Gokun-gugok site needs to develop combining various types of tours and adventures with instructive and educational programs to meet the visitors' needs. This research also intends to precede a development plan based on harmonizing natural, historical and cultural assets of the Gokun-gugok with facility maintains and tourism development. Meanwhile, the study stresses on realizing development of tourism resources categorizing programs by seasonality, visitor's economic class, and visit duration. Asa consequence, the research presents a "Culture & Tourism Academy" which deals with these types of adventure programs and informative educations. To assess feasibility of the development plan in terms of economy, environment and policy, the research conducted the site inspection and examined the site's surroundings, land properties and inundation. 145,000 square meters have been extracted as a feasible development area out of total 392,500 square meters. Finally, the study segmentizes target markets basedon the result of the survey on visitors and local residents. The more segmentized markets employ facilities according to their traditional characters.
