  • Recently, concrete facility as advanced water treatment facilities is extending in the water treatment facilities according to raise awareness of pure drinking water and delicious water. For this reason, it is increased to the necessity need to make the standard and the development of waterproofing and anti-corrosion materials for concrete structures applied water treatment tank. So, related research has become active recently. However, as the limit of research focused on durability improvement of top coating material, it is insufficient to study on the adhesion strength between the concrete surface and primer. Therefore, there is to confirm the adhesion of between concrete surface and the three primers used as anti-corrosion waterproofing materials, and to investigate the properties of adhesion strength according to the condition such as dry condition, wet condition, and water pressure condition of the concrete surface in this study.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate visitor and expert responsiveness for trail facilities in the Huibangsa, Yeonwhabong route of, Sobaeksan National Park in order to provide basic information for effective trail building and maintenance. The questionnaire surveys with 125 samples in visitor and 12 experts as the special panel were conducted. Evaluation results indicate statistical difference between the two groups in responsiveness for 6 types of trail facilities. In addition, 2 types of facilities, such as stone paving and boardwalk, were evaluated as the effective trail facility types. Steel bridge and steel steps may require improvement of the design consideration for with taking advantage of natural landscape.

  • After the middle of 90's, the eco rivers maintenance enterprise was propelled about city rivers. The environmental function is more emphasized because of revising the rivers law enforced at 2008.4. Also, the field of application is being magnified. It is difficult to apply that the conceptual public work expense estimating model of the rivers which adjusts a focus at open channel rivers excepts the small-scale rivers maintenance public work. The research presents a eco rivers public work conceptual public work expense estimating model frame work. It suits the change of the rivers environmental renewal construction paradigm. It develops the conceptual public work expense estimating plan of the rivers at the planning phase using the collection and analysis of the data. As a result, riffle, spur dyke, stepping stones, fish way and etc are added. Consequently, it brings the hydrophilic function is considered seriously conceptual public work expense estimating model of the eco rivers.

  • The government abolished the existing method to calculate the construction price by the quantity take-off and pricing. It has introduced a new estimating system which uses the actual cost data on the basis of actual contract unit price. However, in the case of the current method to calculate the estimate price of BTL educational facilities, it is difficult to prepare an accurate ground for calculating unit prices due to a lack of standardized work breakdown structure (WBS) and guidelines for the detailed bidding documents. Thus, this research aims to establish WBS using the actual construction price on the basis of the actual bidding documents for the previous construction of BTL educational facilities. This specific WBS can be differentiated from the general WBS which is not suited for construction of the educational facility. It makes possible to build the construction information classification system and it helps to systemize the maintenance and repair cost items.

  • Purpose: This is the ex-post evaluation on "the Central General Hospital in Quang Nam Province in Vietnam" funded by Korean ODA. Through this evaluation, this study tries to explore useful ways to improve the effectiveness of Korean ODA projects related to hospital establishment. Methods: Field survey and analysis of questionaire to the staffs and patients of Quang Nam Province General Hospital were conducted twice in 2012 and 2014 after the completion of the Hospital. Two sets of surveys and questionaire outcomes have been comparatively analysed by statistics in order to seek the trend of satisfaction level of hospital users and find out the improvement way in hospital design and construction. Results: The satisfaction level on the hospital was relatively high and that of 2014 is higher than that of 2012. The satisfaction level of the users was recorded in Likert 5 scales. Continuous facility complement and maintenance is considered as the main contributor in increasing the satisfaction level of users. As far as the satisfaction level of outpatient is concerned, that of 2012 was recorded as 3.65 and that of 2014 was 4.05. In case of inpatient, the satisfaction level on the hospital in 2012 was 3.76, and 4.06 in 2014. Implications: In overseas hospital projects, proper hospital project management system including medical service plan, strategic plan, brief, design & construction and maintenance have to be put together effectively and efficiently for the success of the hospital project. At the same time local climate, culture, building material and local code have to be considered in order to build sustainable hospital.

  • Advances in IT technology and modernization of AtoN(Aids to Navigation) facility has increased the unmanned operation of AtoN. However, in AtoN facilities, accessibility is low and it is not able to perform maintenance on the bad weather at the time. In connection with this, in this paper, by applying the protocol of the enhanced dual LED marine lantern, we implemented the short-range monitoring system for a mobile terminal. System implemented in this paper can be carried out confirm the operation status, inspection or control of the dual LED marine lantern at a short distance. Also, it is possible to reduce maintenance costs and prevent accidents during inspection of AtoN. At the same time, it enables the operation test easily without disassembling the product, effective AtoN operation is possible. We tested the system that has been implemented using prototype of the LED marine lantern and confirmed state informations and controlled the behavior of the system in real time.

  • In this study we propose an effective method, Coating processing methods, which can improve the quality of recycled aggregate relatively easily without new equipment investment and complex treatment process and verify the improved effect using the devised method, Coating processing methods. To attain the research aim we used adequately diluted silicate solution for coating and carried out several property valuation for twelve types of material with different coating method. Also we formed concrete with coated aggregates which showed the best property. In conclusion the aggregates with the method of repeated impregnation in the silicate and drying showed the most excellent quality while other coating methods also resulted in an improvement of aggregate quality but failed to meet the KS Standard. Lastly with the optimal material we could obtain the approved compressive strength from the concrete allowing it to be utilized for road facility of which standard compressive strength of design is under 24MPa.

  • Objectives: This study's purpose is finding children's activity spaces that demand environmental safety management. Methods: The method of this study is analysing children's life patterns based on a questionnaire survey. Results: This study analyzed children's life patterns through a questionnaire survey. In total, 2,447 questionnaires were provided to analyze children's life patterns. The results of the questionnaire indicated a highly simple form because many children generally stayed in their home (66%) or nursery facility (2%). In the case of other facilities, playground was ranked first and amusement park was ranked second. In addition, kids cafe (including play facilities installed in shopping centers, etc.), library, and internet cafe were among the responses. Conclusions: The priority for new high-maintenance children's activity spaces are academy (rank 1), kids cafe (rank 2), indoor playground (rank 3).
