While large-sized facilities (type I II) have been managed systematically after the establishment of the Special Law for Safety Management on Facility, the management of small-sized facilities is relatively poor. The small-sized facilities have been managed by The Basic Law for Disaster and Safety Management, however, it is hard to manage them systematically as related standards are not established. Therefore, this study proposed the management plans for including the facilities such as some road tunnels and utility tunnels, which have the definite manager and a high possibility to harm the public, into type I and II facilities. In addition, it proposed the reinforcement plans of safety management for small-sized and vulnerable facilities such as breast wall and cut slopes, traditional markets and pedestrian bridges, which are fundamental facilities closely related to people's life, although a budget and a man-power are not enough.
The purpose of this study is to analyze user's behaviors and environmental image to show how to plan dining facilities by checking what factors make user's satisfaction and how inferior factors effect dining people. The spaces in this study are dining facilities in a University. Dining places are campus welfare facilities, students don't have other choice. Dining facilities are determined according to user's desire to convenience and time saying. And this facilities will be compliment to resting places in campus. As we know, functional planing facilities are central element in University Master Plan and must consider interior decoration, surrounding places and some other instruments. Scale of dining facilities must accommodate with many students, therefore dining facilities can served as spare place and resting space.
It is important to build new irrigation facilities as a countermeasure against new water demand, however the effective use of existing facilities is rather advantageous economi cally and socially.Since many irrigation facilities were constructed before 1960's, the functions of them have been declined and rehabilitation of deteriorated facilities needs great expenses. To operate the irrigation facilities efficiently, the criteria for the maintenance and repair of irrigation facilities should be established according to the importance of structures. for the reasonable evaluation of the irrigation facilities, the Irrigation Facility Inquiry System(IFIS) was developed. The present status of the irrigation facilities are grouped by the type and scale of structures, and the characteristics of irrigation facilities under control of Farmland Improvement Association(FIA) were analysed.
The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual conditions of the floor area of skilled nursing facilities in rural area. The thorough investigation and observation works were made from the viewpoints of floor area of the skilled nursing facilities. This article discusses about the basic condition and the floor area for daily living activities of the elderly in 3 skilled nursing facilities in west gyeongnam province. As the result, There is a wide gap between floor area ratio of skilled nursing facilities. The characteristics of the private establishment skilled nursing facilities in the west gyeongnam province were figured out through the analysis of spatial composition in skilled nursing facilities for the elderly. The skilled nursing facilities in west gyeongnam mainly focus on the living environment orientated toward the bedroom. The difficulty is to encourage the communication between the skilled nursing facility patients because the facilities are composed of small semi-public zone.
In this study, the shared facilities and space in the multi-family housing which residents could maintain contacts with their neighbors were investigated and analyzed. It could find the shared facilities and space so that residents could maintain to contact with their neighbors after surveying the dwellers requirements. Also it could specify the importance of the neighborhood common spaces and the conditions for the planning of the shared facilities. Analyzing residents requirement of set-up location, this study lead to the following suggestions concerning the facilities design: In the first neighborhood-circle, it require to be related the household affairs of housewives on the adjacent space to a dwelling-unit. In order to plan and manage public facilities effectively and efficiently, it is necessary to diagnose the current status of facilities and decide the objective features. Performance measurement is to provide managers with the information they need to measure competitive advantages. This paper discusses public facility performance in order to establish the conceptual framework for performance measurement for public facilities. In order to develop the measurement of public facility performance, a pilot study was conducted with facilities managers of facilities management corporation of public districts in Seoul. We investigated how public facilities management teams have assessed their performance and collected data regarding financial aspects, service aspects, community aspects, and building aspects. There is no standard format to measure facility performance since building sizes, programs, community needs widely differ. However, it is necessary to have a more consistent system to measure facility performance. In addition, each public municipal district needs to empower each district facilities management corporation to participate in managerial decisions and budget control.
Korean government implemented the Build-Transfer-Lease (BTL) mechanism since 2005 as one of the privatization methods to procure the social infrastructure with private investment. The roles and needs for the greentourism facilities require the associated functions and systems which can be determined from considering the existing successful facilities. Some of successful examples for the greentourism facilities in Japan have been investigated, and their functions and systems carefully examined. This paper is intended to provide a meaningful step for introducing and applying the functions and systems for the greentourism facilities in Japan to Korea. The facilities should support the greentourism that leads to the active cultural exchange between urban and rural areas. The required specific facilities are discussed in this paper. For newly developed facilities, restaurants, specialty stores, and hotels may be effective facilities for the greentourism. The design for the entire greentourism facilities should consider, for the development of the area, the several kinds of required functions of the greentourism, such as the travel guide center, the marketing center, the information center, the business center, the human resources center, and the environment conservation center.

As a result of this research, Las Vegas has been changed tremendously from the casino resort to the resort complex for families with special theme and various facilities.
As the population of olds increases, the number of old people with capability increases, and they actively participate to social works with interests in healthy life and leisures. Therefore the demand rises to expand social facilities to support their spare time, while there are limitation, such as land, financial state, to build such facilities. In case of Japan, a solution of such problem occurs by compounding Social facilities for Old people and local facilities in practical and finacial aspect of the selection of site and managing the facilities and social aspect of supporting oppotunities to use various facilities. Such community based complex facilities supports services depending on the health state of Old people locally residing and increases the communication between different generation. The purpose of this research is aimed to analyze programs and space organization of advanced facilities in Japan and provide basical data for planning complex facilities for old people in Korea.
