흑연표면의 열방사율 측정시 결정립 배향성의 영향 (Thermal Emissivity Changes as a Function of Degree of Flakes Alignment on the Graphite Surface)

  • This study is the research on the thermal emissivity depending on the bulk graphite's alignment degree. Bulk graphites were manufactured by uni-axial pressing and subsequent heat treatment of natural graphite flakes with organic binder. The samples were prepared to be $0^{\circ}$ (relative to the 002 c-face), $45^{\circ}$, and $90^{\circ}$ (relative to the 100 a-face) for measuring alignment degree. The alignment degree of the sample was measured by XRD. The thermal emissivity was measured by infrared thermal image camera at $100^{\circ}C$ and compared with the value obtained by Infrared spectroscopy. The alignment degree and thermal emissivity of $0^{\circ}$ sample were measured to be 0 and 0.70 respectively. And those of $90^{\circ}$ sample were 0.73 and 0.80 respectively. The emissivity value was correlated with obtained by IR spectroscopy. Therefore it was considered that the thermal emissivity of the bulk graphite is correlated with the alignment degree.

  • Recently, there have been a lot of researches on the whole face replacement system, but it is not easy to obtain stable results due to various attitudes, angles and facial diversity. To produce a natural synthesis result when replacing the face shown in the video image, technologies such as face area detection, feature extraction, face alignment, face area segmentation, 3D attitude adjustment and facial transposition should all operate at a precise level. And each technology must be able to be interdependently combined. The results of our analysis show that the difficulty of implementing the technology and contribution to the system in facial replacement technology has increased in facial feature point extraction and facial alignment technology. On the other hand, the difficulty of the facial transposition technique and the three-dimensional posture adjustment technique were low, but showed the need for development. In this paper, we propose four facial replacement models such as 2-D Faceswap, OpenPose, Deekfake, and Cycle GAN, which are suitable for the Cox platform. These models have the following features; i.e. these models include a suitable model for front face pose image conversion, face pose image with active body movement, and face movement with right and left side by 15 degrees, Generative Adversarial Network.

  • The objective of this study is to develop a highly accurate micro tool alignment system applicable to the micro machining technology. In a specific application such as micro hole punching, radial clearance between micro tools is order of a few micron. Under this micron scale tool clearance, accuracy of tool alignment is very important for ensuring hole quality. In the present study, a two-way image acquisition system was developed, which can produce overlapped image of both micro tools that face each other, and applied to the tool alignment in the micro punching. Also, to meet alignment accuracy of tools within $1\mu\textrm{m}$, the cross correlation image processing algorithm was employed. With this system, $25\mu\textrm{m}$ punching tools with $1\mu\textrm{m}$ radial clearance could be accurately aligned.

  • A 3D model based approach for a face representation and recognition algorithm has been investigated as a robust solution for pose and illumination variation. Since a generative 3D face model consists of a large number of vertices, a 3D model based face recognition system is generally inefficient in computation time and complexity. In this paper, we propose a novel 3D face representation algorithm based on a pixel to vertex map (PVM) to optimize the number of vertices. We explore shape and texture coefficient vectors of the 3D model by fitting it to an input face using inverse compositional image alignment (ICIA) to evaluate face recognition performance. Experimental results show that the proposed face representation and recognition algorithm is efficient in computation time while maintaining reasonable accuracy.

  • When a shaft is misaligned, a high level of vibration is experienced. As a consequence, the system performance could be low with high level of noise generated. Even, a catastrophic damage of the rotating machinery may happen in the worst situation. The vibration caused by the shaft misalignment is not cured unless a correct alignment of the shaft is investigated. In this paper, a step by step approach for the turbine alignment has been demonstrated. It includes measurement tips of the coupling rim and face, calculation procedure of the bearing level, and the relevant values of the addition and subtration for shims in order to align the shaft level correctly. Then, as an application of the shaft alignment, the turbine system at the Pyung Tek focile electric power plant has been examined. Since the real system consists of high pressure, low pressure turbines and the generator, detailed alignment prolcedures of the multi stage shaft system has been demonstrated.

  • 얼굴 윤곽선 검출을 위해 그동안 많은 알고리즘이 연구되었다. 그리고 최근에 기존 Active Appearance Model(AAM)에 비해 성능이 개선된 Boosted Appearance Model (BAM)가 Liu에 의해제안되었다. BAM에서는 매 반복 단계마다 Steepest Descent 영상을 구해야 하는데 입력영상의 워핑을 해야 하므로 이것은 계산량이 많다. 본 논문은 BAM을 사용하면서 매번 계산되어야 하는 입력 영상의 워핑을 대신해 템플릿이 워핑함으로써 계산 시간을 줄일 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 템플릿은 약한 분류기에 사용되는 Haar-like feature들로 이것은 입력 영상에 비해 크기가 매우 작으므로 제안된 방법을 사용하면 Steepest Descent 영상을 구하는데 필요한 워핑 속도를 줄일 수 있다.

Multi-Task FaceBoxes: A Lightweight Face Detector Based on Channel Attention and Context Information

  • In recent years, convolutional neural network (CNN) has become the primary method for face detection. But its shortcomings are obvious, such as expensive calculation, heavy model, etc. This makes CNN difficult to use on the mobile devices which have limited computing and storage capabilities. Therefore, the design of lightweight CNN for face detection is becoming more and more important with the popularity of smartphones and mobile Internet. Based on the CPU real-time face detector FaceBoxes, we propose a multi-task lightweight face detector, which has low computing cost and higher detection precision. First, to improve the detection capability, the squeeze and excitation modules are used to extract attention between channels. Then, the textual and semantic information are extracted by shallow networks and deep networks respectively to get rich features. Finally, the landmark detection module is used to improve the detection performance for small faces and provide landmark data for face alignment. Experiments on AFW, FDDB, PASCAL, and WIDER FACE datasets show that our algorithm has achieved significant improvement in the mean average precision. Especially, on the WIDER FACE hard validation set, our algorithm outperforms the mean average precision of FaceBoxes by 7.2%. For VGA-resolution images, the running speed of our algorithm can reach 23FPS on a CPU device.

  • 본 논문에서는 실감 있는 3차원 얼굴모델 생성에 필요한 얼굴 텍스쳐를 생성하기 위해 실린더형 원형모델의 가변적 블록크기를 기반으로 하는 영상정렬 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 알고리즘은 실린더형 3차원 모델에 대한 2차원 영상을 영상의 상관관계를 이용하는 블록 정합 알고리즘을 사용해서 정렬하는 방법으로서 블록 정합을 수행 할 때 동일한 블록 크기를 사용하는 기존 방법과는 달리 모델의 곡률을 고려해 가변적인 크기의 블록을 사용한다. 그리고 영상 모자익 기법을 사용해서 정렬된 영상을 하나의 텍스쳐 영상으로 생성한다. 이 때 중첩된 영역에 따라 선형적인 가중치를 부여하면서 크로스디졸브 기법을 이용해 영상을 스티칭한다.

  • For visual navigation, mobile robot can use a stereo camera which has large field of view. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to detect and recognize human face on the basis of such camera system. In this paper, a new coarse to fine detection algorithm is proposed. For coarse detection, nearly face-like areas are found in entire image using dual ellipse templates. And, detailed alignment of facial outline and features is performed on the basis of view- based multiple appearance model. Facial Feature Extraction with Its Applications

  • Purpose In the many face-related application such as head pose estimation, 3D face modeling, facial appearance manipulation, the robust and fast facial feature extraction is necessary. We present the facial feature extraction method based on shape regression and feature selection for real-time facial feature extraction. Materials and Methods The facial features are initialized by statistical shape model and then the shape of facial features are deformed iteratively according to the texture pattern which is selected on the feature pool. Results We obtain fast and robust facial feature extraction result with error less than 4% and processing time less than 12 ms. The alignment error is measured by average of ratio of pixel difference to inter-ocular distance. Conclusion The accuracy and processing time of the method is enough to apply facial feature based application and can be used on the face beautification or 3D face modeling.
