  • FPD Stocker System 은 LCD 를 포함한 평판 디스플레이 소자(FPD : Flat Panel Display)의 자동 자재 저장 반출 장치(FPD Automated Storage and Retrieval System)이다. FPD Stocker System 은 그 특성상 생산라인의 구조에 따라 보유 디바이스와 디바이스의 설정이 다양해 지는 특성이 있다. 본 논문은 새로운 디바이스의 추가가 쉽고, 그 디바이스의 설정이 용이한 구조의 FPD Stocker System 개발을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 각 디바이스를 클래스로 구현하여 개별적인 스레드(Thread)로 Work Crew Threading Model 을 사용하여 동작 시켰다.

  • In this study has developed analysis system for automatic inspection of FPD(Flat Panel Display) characteristic, such as brightness, view angle, color ratio in the manufacturing process. Developed system consists of inspection-sensor part, acquiring a data by 3-CCD Color CCD camera and Inspection-stage part, driving a FPD holder to rotation and tilt direction. In experiment results, we could have ensured easily brightness distribution, available view angle, color reproduce and could expect to improve the quality, productivity, and yield.

  • Various defects are found in FPD (Flat Panel Display) manufacturing process. So detecting these defects early and reprocessing them is an important factor that reduces the cost of production. In this paper, the bare glass inspection system for the FPD which is the early process inspection system in the FPD manufacturing process is designed and implemented using the high performance and accuracy CCD line scan camera. For the preprocessing of the high speed line image data, the Image Processing Part (IPP) is designed and implemented using high performance DSP (Digital signal Processor), FIFO (First in First out), FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and the Data Management and System Control part are implemented using ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) processor to control many IPP and cameras and to provide remote users with processed data. For evaluating implemented system, experiment environment which has an area camera for reviewing and moving shelf is made.

Investigation of Physical Imaging Properties in Various Digital Radiography Systems (다양한 디지털 방사선 시스템의 물리적 영상 특성 조사)

  • We aimed to evaluate the physical imaging properties in various digital radiography systems with charged coupled device (CCD), computed radiography (CR), and indirect flat panel detector (FPD). The imaging properties measured in this study were modulation transfer function (MTF) wiener spectrum (WS), and detective quantum efficiency (DQE) to compare the performance of each digital radiography system. The system response of CCD were in a linear relationship with exposure and that of CR and FPD were proportional to the logarithm of exposure. The MTF of both CR and FPD indicated a similar tendency but in case of CCD, it showed lower MTF than that of CR and FPD. FPD showed the lowest WS and also indicated the highest DQE among three systems. According to the results, digital radiography system with different type of image receptor had its own image characteristics. Therefore, it is important to know the physical imaging characteristics of the digital radiography system accurately to obtain proper image quality.

  • The CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) displays have been substituted for FPDs(Flat Panel Displays) such as LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and PDP(Plasma Display Panel) because they have a convex surface, large volume and heavy weight. The productivity of FPDs is greatly dependent on the area of thin glass panel with $0.6{\sim}0.8mm$ thickness because FPDs are manufactured by cutting a large-scaled thin glass panel with patterns to the required product dimensions. So FPD's industries are trying to increase the area of thin glass Panel. Through FEM(Finite Element Method) analysis and fluid analysis, we developed an non-contact and air-floating conveyor system which consists of transport-module, distributor, horizontal/vertical changer and controller for the 7th generation glass panel (2,200mm in width, 1,870mm in length and 0.7mm in thickness). The design technology developed in this study can be effectively applied to a conveyor system for a larger-scaled thin glass panel.

  • 최근에 디스플레이 산업이 변화하고 우리나라 기업들이 세계시장을 주도해나가고 있는 실정이다. 특히 FPD 기술에 있어서 화면의 크기가 급속하게 대형화함에 따라 품질향상과 생산성 향상을 위해서 생상환경과 설비의 자동화가 매우 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 FPD 제조 공정 중 화학 증착 및 메탈 주입 공정 중 원판 GLASS의 이송 및 고정에 있어 항시 사용하는 GLASS CARRIER의 검사에 있어서 자동으로 검사할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

  • 반도체 제조 및 FPD제조 공정 중 WAFER 및 GLASS 제품의 상태를 직접적으로 관리하는 기술로서 기존에 널리 사용하고 있는 방법은 CHAMBER의 온도나 상태 등의 설비 컨디션 상태를 관리 모니터링 하는 것이다. 반도체 제조의 공정비용을 최소화하기 위하여 기존 방법과 달리 WAFER 및 GLASS의 온도 상태 등을 직접적으로 모니터링 하는 시스템으로 반도체 FPD제조 공정 중 장비의 개별 특성에 따라 제품의 공정 편차로 인해 발생되는 공정불량을 실시간으로 모니터링함으로서 불량을 최소화 할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.
