After a research on appearance diagnosis and fish, bird, horse, and turtle types, this study concluded as following. Appearance diagnosis is a technique that exams five jang organs by color and shape of eye, nose, mouth, and ear. Four HyungSang types-including fish, bird, horse and turtle types-are evaluated upon the external shape that are created while type of seed changes. Appearance diagnosis focuses on five jang organs. Four HyungSang types focus on external shape, but are eventually related to five jang organs. Thus, two different techniques possess a point in common; five jang organs. The assignment of nose, eye, ear and mouth to the Five elements varies between two techniques. On the viewpoint of formation, appearance diagnosis assigns them to metal-water-wood-fire-earth and movement, and four HyungSang types do to wood-fire-earth-metal-water and constitution. On the viewpoint of body/use and static/dynamic, appearance diagnosis assigns them to metal-water-wood-fire-earth and constitution, and four HyungSang types do to wood-fire-earth-metal-water and movement. If nose, eye, ear, and mouth are assigned by on four HyungSang types, which are based on external shape, the assignment can be utilized in diagnosis. If, however, they are assigned by appearance diagnosis, it can be focus on treatment. Five jang organs and six fu organs are affected by internal conditions because they are located inside of human body, while four HyungSang types are affected by external conditions because it deals with external shape. If a disease occurs in the developed part of the body, it would be difficult to be cured because four HyungSang types depend on external shapes.
The current study proposesto examine the external appearance types of urban-style hanok in the Bukchon Hanok Preservation District according to their use. For this purpose, we conducted a field survey from the 12th of September to 10th of October 2005, which investigated the location, condition md use of urban-style hanok that were being used for non-residential purposes. The external elevation of the houses were observed and photographed. The results are as follows. First, there were 158 urban-style hanok used for non-residential purposes and200 cases of non-residential use. There were 69 cases of food and beverage spaces, 58 cases of small retail businesses, 38 cases of cultural facilities and 7 cases of convenience facilities. Second, among residential urban-style hanok used for non-residential purposes, 131 cases changed the external appearance of existing urban-style hanok and only 69 cases maintained the original appearance of urban-style hanok or renovated the appearance fittingly to non-residential use. Among the renovated cases, 59 involved the construction of a firewall and 10 cases involved remodeling in a contemporary style. Among the transformed cases, 40 cases exhibited a full opening to the roadside, n involved the change of external appearance components, 14 involved the extension of the courtyard and 12 involved overall improvements to a contemporary style. Third, in the case of cultural facilities and offices, many instances reproduced an urban-style hanok in the traditional style, but small retail shops and food/beverage spaces showed serious deformation. Particularly small retail shops opened the side to the road or extended the courtyard regardless of the location of the houses in order to increase the store space and, as a result, severely damaged the urban-style hanok. In addition, many food/beverage spaces remodeled their external components using tiles, bricks or metals, which were easy to maintain.
In this study, adolescent consumers were first classified by their consumption propensity, and different types of adolescent consumers were compared regarding their consumption behavior and allowance management. The adolescents were classified into four groups by type of control and symbol-orientation. The adolescents of the external control group possessed more commodities than the internal control group. There were significant differences in the patterns of allowance management in the four groups. The low-external symbol group owned more commodities than high-external symbol group. The high-external symbol group considered external appearance more important when purchasing commodities.
This study examines the rise of the Body Positive Movement on TikTok and its role as a form of online content activism influencing the fashion design and industry. Through a combination of literature review and case study methodology, the study explores the expression techniques and thematic types of Body Positive Movement on TikTok. Reviews of literature, previous studies, online articles, fashion journals, and relevant search terms on TikTok informed a definition of Body Positive Movement and an analysis of its formation and rise. The research findings confirm the impact TikTok content on Body Positive Movement has on the fashion industry in addressing external factors (i.e., 'Appearance', 'Race', 'Aging', 'Physical Disability') and intrinsic factors (i.e., 'Acceptance of Diversity', 'Self-Esteem', 'Rejection of Stereotypes', 'Appropriate Representation', 'Information Provision'). The key external factor , 'Appearance', includes subcategories such as 'Body Shape', 'Body Hair', 'Skin', and 'Facial Features'. TikTok content creators on fashion creatively combine music, emojis, and visual storytelling to exhibit positive self-perception concerning these factors. A significant finding of the study is that short clips predominantly manifesting external factors differentiate into informative or enlightening videos associated with intrinsic factors. The study underscores Body Positive Movement's important influence on the fashion industry from design to presentation.
This study aims to define the influences of an individual's talent types and body consciousness factors on high((intense)-level appearance management behavior in 367 adults(female 172 and male 195). The present study is the first to consider both human talent type and the body consciousness on the high level-appearance management behavior correlates to appearance management behaviour. According to the result of the analysis, plastic surgery on body forms or faces are done by few people. However, straightening teeth, ear piercing, removal of spots or imperfections, and eyebrow tattoos are conducted by many consumers without much resistance. It is rather widely accepted, despite the fact that it can cause pain, discomfort, and side-effects. Furthermore, although excessive acts such as muscle training, dieting, weight managing, and oriental treatments can lead to side-effects, the standardized efficient beta value turned out to be high for these treatments. Thus, this study suggests that both the interpersonal talent among 8 talent factors and 2 body consciousness factors contributes to the reinforcement of the self-identity through high level-appearance management behaviors, but except risky plastic surgery. Therefore, this study supports the previous researches that body consciousness composed of self-source, which is desires and efforts to achieve the ideal body, and external-source, which is the internalization of other people's feedbacks.
Objectives Yusanghan(類傷寒) means disease which chills and fever manifest like Cold damage(傷寒) but not Cold damage. However, study on Yussanghan is insignificant. The purpose of this study is to examine the origin and development process of Yusanghan. Methods: 1. Terms and disease related with Yusanghan was collected from books covering Cold damage of all time and analyzed. 2. The transition history was researched by analyzing collected terms. 3. Total appearance frequency of all time by collected disease was researched. Results: Yusanghan was appeared in Hwalinseo(活人書), which Ju Geong(朱肱) of the Song Dynasty wrote, for the first time and the definition and type were established. For the types of those, there are four diseases such as Phlegm-Fluid Retention(痰飮), Food Accumulation(食積), Vexation of Deficiency Type(虛煩), Beriberi(脚氣). Since then, the theory about Yusanghan had developed and the number of types had also increased until the Myung Dynasty. Conclusions: In early days, External Contraction Diseases(外感病) was not included in Yusanghan, but since the late Myung Dynasty, there were a lot of doctors who included External Contraction Diseases in Yusanghan, not in Cold damage. There are Summerheat Stroke, Wind-Dampness(風濕), and Warm Disease(溫病) etc. for included External Contraction Diseases. Because of this, the number of types of Yusanhan had significantly increased.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the difference of external appearance measurements in subjects of different regional lineages as subgroups within the Tae-eumin Sasang grouping. Methods: We chose 51 Tae-eumin subjects diagnosed by Korean Sasang constitutional medical doctors aided by voice analysis. The subjects were divided into two groups, the northern and southern lineages, by an expert on facial characteristics of the two lineages. We took pictures of their frontal and lateral views by Martin's method, measured projected length of face with the Facial Feature Measurement Program, and analyzed anthropometric facial differences between the northern and southern types. Results: Results show differences between the northern and southern types. First, the northern type of face has bigger measurements than the southern type on the frontal face. Second, the northern type of face has higher measurements of "height", which means distance from pupil to a specific measurement point, than the southern type on the frontal face. Third, on the frontal face, the northern and southern types have differences with respect to eyebrow, point of sellion, and eye. Fourth, on the side face, the northern and southern types have differences in lip, mandible and ear. Conclusions: We found our anthropometric facial measurements of the northern and southern lineages to be in accordance with previous literature. Knowledge of the differences between the northern and southern lineages can be a hint in constitutional diagnosis when differentiation is clinically confusing.
Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer types in women and is amongst the most devastating and stressful events in the life of women. The external appearance of breast cancer patients usually changes due to the surgical and/or medical therapies used. An association may be found between social support perception and social appearance anxiety in patients with breast cancer in the period after mastectomy. Therefore, this study investigated the social appearance anxiety and social support status in women with breast cancer in our country. Materials and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in breast cancer patients undergoing treatment or follow-up in Medical Oncology and General Surgery departments. Results: The mean age of the participants was $51.13{\pm}8.48$ years (range, 24-74 years) with nearly half of the patients (40.6%) aged 40-50 years. Of the patients, 39.1% had stage 3 breast cancer. The mean score on Cancer Patient's Social Support Scale (CPSSS) was $134.85{\pm}9.35$, and there was a significant difference in CPSSS total scores betweena the age groups, educational levels, self-reported income levels and stage of disease (p<0.05). The mean Social Image Anxiety Scale (SIAS) score was found to be $34.30{\pm}9.35$ (min:16, max:66) in women participating in this study. The CPSSS and SIAS scores of the participants were inversely correlated, and the SIAS score was found to decrease with the increasing CPSSS score but with no statistically significant difference (r=-0.110, p=0.217). Conclusions: Social appearance anxiety is higher in the patients with poor social support.
This study aims to develop sleeve pattern of tailored jacket which shows seamlessly beauty of females in their twenties who have relatively smaller change of body compared people of other ages and has outstanding functional operation. So we selected a pattern of manufacturer who received highest score after evaluating wearing condition of three types of jacket in the industry, whose targets are career women in their twenties and then tested its appearance and functional operation of 6 experimental jackets with armhole depth of B/4 and B/4-1(cm) along with sleeve cap height of A.H/3, A.H/3+1, A.H/3+2. As a result, the pattern which has good result of external appearance evaluation were sleeve with armhole depth of B/4-1 and sleeve cap height of A.H/3+2 as well as sleeve with armhole depth of B/4-1 and sleeve cap height of A.H/3+1. The pattern of good result for movement adaptation were sleeve with armhole depth of B/4-1 and sleeve cap height of A.H/3 as well as sleeve with armhole depth of B/4 and sleeve cap height of A.H/3. So we could find that the larger is the armhole depth and height of sleeve, the better influence on adaptability of jacket it makes and that the smaller is the armhole depth and height of sleeve, the better influence on movement adaptability of jacket it makes. It has been proved that armhole depth of tailored jacket of females in their twenties doesn't affect significantly on its appearance when designing it but it makes good influence on movement adaptability when experimental clothing has armhole depth of B/4-1and that sleeve cap height of A.H/3 that is 1cm shorter than A.H/3+1 which is used in industry makes good influence on appearance and functional operation.
This study was conducted to explore which pollen type could be an effective pollen source for self-incompatible 'Niitaka' pear (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai), when different pollinizers were to be applied. The pollens of five different pears with similar flowering times were applied to bagged 'Niitaka' flowers grown in Cheonan city, Korea. Pollen types used were of different origins including Korean pears ('Wonhwang' and 'Chuhwangbae'), Japanese pears ('Chojuuro' and 'Okusankichi'), and Chinese pear ('Yali'). Results show that the amount of pollen produced by flowers of each cultivar was the largest in Korean pear 'Wonhwang' (234 g/100 flowers) and the smallest in Japanese pear 'Okusankichi' (126 g/100 flowers). A high proportion of large fruits (> 600 g), 71.4% of total production, was found in the fruits treated with 'Yali' pollen. However, these fruits showed an unfavorable external appearance. Based on individual fruit width differences, 'Chojuuro' treatment produced the smallest difference in fruit diameters (3.2 mm) and 'Yali' treatment' gave the largest (4.8 mm). Also, the difference in fruit length was the largest in 'Yali' (7.5 mm), which also produced the most uneven fruits among the pollinizers used. Meanwhile, the use of pollens of 'Wonhwang' and 'Chuhwangbae' improved productivity by increasing the fruit shape index and the ratio of bigger fruits in total production. Moreover, those pollens also decreased the development of lenticels on fruit skins which gave them a smoother appearance.
