  • Roof and exterior wall of general formal buildings are designed and constructed through design focused exterior wall system and drainage and waterproof roof system. However, there are no classification of exterior wall and roof in freeform buildings and they are integrated as a surface of freeform buildings. Therefore it is necessary to develop the dry roof construction method using double skin roof system satisfying the design and function of the envelope. In this study, we have an effort to develop construction method of double-skin roof system using metal panel and PV.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the exterior remodeling examples of urban houses which have been changed to be mixed-use buildings with commercial use, and to guide the future exterior remodeling. Some of the research results are as follows: 1) Exterior remodeling of commercialized urban detached houses is focused on two-dimensional changes of exterior surface, rather than on three-dimensional changes of mass or shape. 2) Unlike commercial buildings generally relying on signboards to express their commercial nature, the exterior-renovated houses with commercial uses mainly rely on the image of whole building shape based on exterior materials and colors. 3) Installations of free-standing walls and double skins are preferred as exterior remodeling techniques, due to the structural limitation of exterior walls.

  • Prefabricated exterior wall panel is the main non-load-bearing component of assembly building, which affects the comprehensive performance of thermal insulation and durability of the building. It is of great significance to develop new prefabricated exterior wall panel with durable and lightweight characteristics for the development of energy-saving and assembly building. In the prefabricated sandwich insulation hanging wall panel, the selection of material for the outer layer and the arrangement of the connector of the inner and outer wall layers affect the mechanical performance and durability of the wall panels. In this paper, high performance cement-based composites (HPFRC) are used in the outer layer of the new type wall panel. FRP bars are used as the interface connector. Through experiments and analysis, the influence of the arrangement of connectors on the mechanical behaviors of thin-walled composite wall panel and the panel with window openings under two working conditions are investigated. The failure modes and the role of connectors of thin-walled composite wallboard are analyzed. The influence of the thickness of the wall layer and their combination on the strain growth of the control section, the initial crack resistance, the ultimate bearing capacity and the deformation of the wall panels are analyzed. The research work provides a technical reference for the engineering design of the light-weight thin-walled and durable composite sandwich wall panel.

WUFI 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용한 목조주택 벽체 레이어 구성에 따른 hygrothermal 성능 평가 (Evaluation of The Hygrothermal Performance by Wall Layer Component of Wooden Houses Using WUFI Simulation Program)

  • 건물에너지 저감에 효과적으로 기여하는 건축 재료를 이용하는 목조주택을 기반으로 단열 성능이 향상되고 있다. 그러나 고단열 고기밀화로 인한 습기 제어가 어려워져 외벽의 결로 및 곰팡이 발생으로 인하여 성능이 저하될 수 있다. 이에 열 습기 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용하여 선정한 5가지 형태의 목조주택 외벽의 열 습기 성능, 결로 발생 및 곰팡이 성장 위험을 평가하였다. 목조주택은 농촌주택 표준설계도 '10과 '14, $2^{{\prime}{\prime}}{\times}6^{{\prime}{\prime}}$형, EIFS 그리고 목조형 패시브 하우스로 선정하였고, 각 벽체 레이어를 구성에 따라 벽 A, B, C, D, E로 구분하였다. 벽체의 열관류율은 각각 0.171, 0.172, 0.221, 0.150, $0.079W/m^2K$이다. 벽 A와 C의 OSB 절대함수량은 기준치 20%를 초과하는 값이 나타났고, 결로 평가를 통하여 단열재 내부 표면에서 겨울철에 결로가 발생할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 벽 D와 E는 외단열 벽체로 다른 벽체에 비하여 함수량 평가와 결로 평가에서 우수한 결과를 보여주었다. 그러나 곰팡이 성장 위험 평가에서 5가지 형태의 벽체 모두 곰팡이 성장 위험성이 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 따라 외벽의 열 습기 성능의 차이는 열적 성능에 의한 발생보다는 레이어 구성에 따른 차이가 발생하는 것으로 판단되었다. 모든 벽체는 비슷한 열적 성능을 가지고 있으나 레이어에 따라 동일한 조건에서의 적합성이 다르게 나타나는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Curtain wall is constructed in various forms and designs by forming the exterior walls of a building, and refers to non-bearing walls that divide the exterior and interior spaces of a building. Curtain walls require not only wind pressure, but also waterproof, insulation, insulation, and durability, as well as the effects of recent frequent earthquakes. Studies on the sleeve used to connect the vertical member mullions in the process of high-rise curtain walls are insufficient. In this study, sleeves connecting curtain wall mullions were developed to absorb external displacement, and the purpose of this study was to evaluate economic feasibility through comparison with existing construction methods.

  • The unit curtain wall is an exterior finish currently used on the exterior walls of high-rise buildings. Curtain walls used as non-endurance walls are largely classified into stick curtain walls and unit curtain walls, and their use has recently been on the rise to reduce risks at construction sites through factory manufacturing. Accordingly, this study attempted to examine the insulation performance according to the shape of the unit curtain wall profile through insulation simulation.

건축물 외관의 오염방지를 위한 계획적 방안 연구 - 서울시 구청을 대상으로 - (A Study on the Planning Methods for Pollution Prevention of Building Exterior - Focused On the Public Borough Offices in Seoul -)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the planning methods for pollution prevention in the initial design stage by identifying the pollution phenomena on the exterior of the building. It is important to catch the problem early on because exterior troubles begin with an initial design defect and causes rapid aging. The scope of this study is seoul public borough offices that should be sustainable for long as landmark located at the center of the district. Field survey was conducted three times in six months. Twenty-six borough offices were diagnosed with three levels of contamination through visual inspection and the contaminated locations, types, materials, and characteristics were checked. Fourteen common contaminated locations were identified in the first and intensively rechecked in the second. Five locations vulnerable to contamination were designated and the contamination and cleanliness situations were checked by location in the third. As a result, main polluted types and locations are sloping wall, upper wall, protruded wall, canopy, and wall under window. The key to avoiding these pollution problems is to minimize the horizontal plane on which dust can be deposited. In other words, it can be considered variously by shape and location, such as the slope of the horizontal plane, the floating of the surface, the installation of the roof surface, and the vertical louvers. And throating plans and material plans suitable for each location are presented. Various methods of the shape and location, material are expected to use as useful basic data for preventing pollutions during the initial design stage.

Effects of a Lift Height on the Thermal Cracking in Wall Structures

  • Once a structure fabricated with mass concrete is in a form of wall such as retaining wall, side walls of a concrete caisson and so on, cracks induced by hydration heat have been known to be governed by exterior restraints which are mainly related to the boundary conditions of the structure. However, it is thought that the degree of restraints can be alleviated considerably only if a lift height of concrete placement or a panel size of the wall is selected properly before construction. As a way of minimizing thermal cracking commonly observed in massive wall-typed structure, this study aimed at evaluating effects of geometrical configuration on the temperature rise and thermal stress through parametric study. Evaluation of the effect was also performed for cement types using anti-sulphate cement, blast furnace slag cement and cement blended with two mineral admixture and one ordinary Portland Cement. so called ternary blended cement. As a result of analytical study, it was found that a lift height of concrete placement is the most important factor in controlling thermal cracking in massive wall, and the increase of a lift height is not always positive to the crack occurrence as not expected.

  • Recently, "The rules on the standards of evacuation and fire protection of buildings" require that non-burnable materials such as non-combustible and semi-non-combustible materials be used as the materials applied to the building's exterior walls, but styrofoam, which is a combustible material, has been applied a lot and became a social issue. In this study, we developed a non-combustible outer wall molding to secure construction and economic feasibility and free expression using CLC(CLC: Cellular Light-weight Concrete).

컨테이너 하우스 외벽 구성 시스템 기술개발연구 (A Study on the Technical Development for the Exterior Wall System of Container House)

  • 본 연구는 기존 조적조 주택의 주요 구조부에 컨테이너를 활용한 개발 방식 즉, 컨테이너 하우스의 계획, 설계, 시공 가능한 시스템 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해, 스틸하우스의 구조 및 시공 방법 등을 분석하였으며 컨테이너 하우스의 외벽 구성 시스템에 대한 견본품 제작을 완성하였다. 이 컨테이너 하우스 견본품을 토대로 두 개의 컨테이너 하우스 케이스 스터디에 적용하였고, 기존 조적조 주택 공법에 비하여 공사비 절감과 공기단축에 있어 현격한 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 컨테이너하우스의 제작기술 개발 성공을 통해 스틸하우스 시장의 틈새 공략으로 기업체의 기술개발 및 투자방향을 제공하였다는데 의의가 있다.
