To set efficient transformation system in chrysanthemum, thirty-four chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum Kitamura) varieties were collected and cultured for shoot regeneration. Five varieties, ‘Shuho-no-chikara', ‘Zinba', ‘Baekma', ‘Pink pride' and ‘Keumsu' of them were selected, because they had a high shoot regeneration efficiency. MS medium containing 1.0 mg/L NAA and BA respectively was very adequate for shoot regeneration in those varieties. MS medium with 3.0 mg/L NAA and 1.0 mg/L kinetin in ‘Shuho-no-chikara' and the medium with 0.5 mg/L NAA and 3.0 mg/L BA in ‘Keumsu' were also suitable for shoot regeneration. The most efficient callus induction and shoot regeneration were obtained on MS medium. Shoot regeneration was enhanced more than 8% on MS medium with 0.3% phytagel and 10-15 mg/L putrescine. The best cultural material for shoot regeneration was stem. When stem was used as a culture material, shoot regeneration rate was increased more than 26% and the days to shoot regeneration was shortened about 14 days.

We consider a two-phase queueing system with generalized vacation. Poisson arrivals receive a batch type service in the first phase and individual services in the second phase. The server takes generalized vacation when the system becomes empty. Generalized vacation includes single vacation, multiple vacation, and other types. We consider both gated batch service and exhaustive batch service. This is an extension of the model presented by Selvam and Sivasankaran [6].

The purposes of the study were to; 1) examine the diffusion and adoption of new agricultural technology in rice farming, 2) survey the status of agricultural education institutions on technology transfer, and 3) explore the linkages between agricultural education and extension for more effective reinforcement strategies to further the diffusion and adoption of new agricultural technology in Korea. Literature review, field survey and panel discussions were employed to strengthen the linkages among agricultural education, research and extension in Korea. As the results of analysis of the diffusion and adoption of new agricultural technology in rice farming following recommendations were offered; 1. Extension services have helped Korean farmers in achieving self-sufficiency in rice and year-round supply of green vegetables as well as upbringing rural youth, however, government changed the status of extension educators from central government staff to county/city government staff since 1997. This brought about various problems such as: decreased morale and number of extension educators, thus weakening the extension education function, weakened linkages between national and local extension offices, less opportunity for in-service education of extension educators, and weakened linkages between agricultural research and extension, etc. 2. In order to insure that extension educators are high caliber professional individuals, it is crucial to establish a system that nationally recognizes these individuals as such, and that provides a professional development path. It is important to restore the morale of extension educators to continually achieve the national goals of food production, balanced national development and preservation of environment, at the same time to meet increasing needs of farmers. 3. Because of the critical importance of diffusing innovations to agricultural producers in order to ensure quality and steady food supply, it is crucial that these issues be addressed before the extension service further deteriorates. Further research activities on agricultural extension should be conducted for more effective agricultural extension system in Korea to achieve a greater rural, national and regional development. 4. Research and implementation activities should be emphasized and encouraged to improve the cooperation and collaboration among agricultural education research and extension to better serve farmers' educational and information needs. National level research activities should be encouraged to improve the effectiveness of agricultural technology transfer including internet education programs for farmers in Korea.

All equipment generally has a specified design service life. As an equipment nears the end of its design service life, replacement must be considered. In some cases, it is possible and more economical to continue the usage of the existing equipment for a longer period. So, replacement should be carefully decided considering the feasibility and economic benefits of the existing equipments' life extension. In this paper, assessment procedure for deciding between life extension and replacement of the electronic control system is presented with an application example. In particular estimation of the electronic control system's remaining life is focused on.

본 논문에서는 고객의 다양한 감성에 기반한 웹 디자인을 통해 사용자들로 하여금 새로운 경험을 체험하도록 정적과 동적 요소에 따른 16개의 감성 차원을 모델링하고 페이지 레이아웃, 배경색, 움직임 좌표 등의 감성 데이터베이스를 활용하여 고객의 선호 감성에 따라서 웹 페이지가 재구성되는 유무선 인터넷 서비스 시스템을 제안한다. 실험 결과 기존 시스템보다 세대별 감성 만족도 및 웹 사이트의 평균체류시간이 증가되었음을 모의 실험을 통해서 확인하였다.

Objectives: In modern society, many people have low back pain (LBP) and spinal diseases. About 80% of them experience severe LBP more than once in their lifetime. We can find studies on many Korean medicine-based treatments, such as acupuncture treatment for LBP and exercise therapy, which are effective in reducing the symptoms. This study focuses on the combined effect of both Korean medicine and exercise therapy for treating LBP. Method: For this review, we searched for articles focusing on pain and disability recovery in pre-clinical and clinical studies of extension and flexion exercise therapy related to LBP. The search databases were as follows: PubMed, Google Scholar, and seven Korean electronic databases (Korea Citation Index (KCI), Korean studies Information Service System (KISS), Research Information Service System (RISS), Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS), DBPIA, National Digital Science Library (NDSL), and KOREAMED). The keywords were as follows: Korean Medicine, back pain, flexion exercise, extension exercise, McKenzie method, McKenzie exercise, Williams' flexion exercise, and Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Results & Conclusions: This review shows the usefulness of flexion and extension exercises for LBP treatment and effective patient education, but further studies are necessary.

말라위 농촌지도사업은 최근 농업개발에서의 부족한 기여와 소농의 요구에 부응하지 못한 측면에서 많은 비판을 받고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 농촌지도사업은 농촌생활과 농촌빈곤 문제 개선을 위해서 중시되고 있다. 말라위 농촌지도사업은 공공부문과 민간부문에서 많은 도전을 받고 있다. 이러한 도전에 분명하고 적극적인 대응은 모든 농가들에게 편익을 제공하고 정부정책 목적을 달성하기 위한 농촌지도사업의 미래의 모습을 만드는 데 있어서 매우 중요하다. 말라위 농촌지도사업의 당면과제는 민주주의, 시장자유화, 분권화, 에이즈, 공공자원부족, 공공부문개혁, 협력 등이다. 이를 달성하기 위하여 말라위 농촌지도사업은 복합적인 지도사업수요를 제공해야 하고, 식량문제와 빈곤문제해결을 위하여 협력을 촉진해야 한다. 또한 지도사업은 모델빌리지접근법(Model-village approaches)을 기초한 지역농촌지도사업 시스템을 통하여 모든 농가들이 접근할 수 있고 질높은 지도사업 서비스를 추진해야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the Chinese investment environment and analyze the actual investment condition of Korean enterprises in China and examine the points at issue. In general, the investment environment in China shows satisfactory progress. China has a multiple and regional extension policy in investment. And the environment for investment changes to insufficiency of company profit, extension of service market, maintenance of legislative system, and insufficiency of preference about foreign company. There are situations of inclining to manufacturing, inclining of region, preference of independence investment, small-sized investment by small and medium enterprises, difficulty of financial assistance, excess of logistic cost, delay of logistic term, difficulty of settlement of legal dispute and difficulty of taking a relative information in investment of Korean enterprise in China. The results of the study indicate mostly that the investment of Korean enterprise into China needs turnover of service trade-tertiary industry, portfolio of investment territory, cooperation with Chinese enterprise through joint venture investment and a large-scale investment for extension of Chinese domestic market.

본 연구는 중부지역에서 참깨와 들깨의 작부체계를 개발하기 위하여 중부지역에 적합한 파종기를 설정하고 이에 적합한 참깨 간작 들깨의 작부체계를 개발하기 위하여 수행하였다. 전작물로 재배되는 참깨가 후작물 들깨에 미치는 영향과 파종기에 따른 수량성을 검토하고 참깨 간작 들깨 작부체계를 위한 재배방법을 개발하였다. 참깨 재배 중 들깨 간작을 위하여 전작물로 재배되는 참깨의 특성은 조생이며 경장이 짧은 품종이 적당하였으며, 후작으로 재배되는 들깨의 파종기를 설정하기 위하여 6월 중순, 6월 하순, 7월 초순에 들깨를 참깨 사이에 파종한 결과 6월 중순 파종에서 화방군수, 군당삭수 및 수량이 많았으며 파종기가 늦어질수록 들깨 수량은 현저히 낮아졌다. 전작물 생육특성에 따른 영향으로는 조생이며 경장이 짧은 참깨 품종 재배지에서 들깨의 생육 및 수량이 우수하였다. 참깨 간작 들깨작부체계 개선을 위하여 한 줄 재배(조간×주간) 110×20 cm와 두 줄 재배(조간×주간) 40×40 cm로 재배한 결과 두 줄재배에서 수량이 많았다. 이상의 결과로부터 중부지역에 적합한 참깨 간작 들깨 재배는 전작으로 재배되는 참깨는 조생이며 경장이 작은 품종을 선정하여 재배하고 들깨는 두 줄로 참깨사이에 간작으로 6월 중순에 파종하는 방법이 적합할 것으로 판단되었다.

인터넷시대가 되면서 정보량이 기하급수적으로 증가하였으며, 도서관 소장 자료 중 전자형태의 자료가 차지하는 비중이 점차 증가함에 따라 최신 정보자료의 신속한 입수 및 활용이 그 어느 때 보다 중요시 되는 시기가 되었다. 디지털 도서관에서 이러한 요구를 충족시킬 수 있도록 최신 정보자료를 신속하고 정확하게 최종 이용자에게 제공할 수 잇는 방법 중의 하나가 SDI서비스라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 웹의 등장으로 중요성이 부각된 SDI 서비스의 국내 대학에서의 활용 현황을 설문조사를 통하여 조사 분석하고, 개선방안 및 정보서비스 제공범위 확대 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
