The purpose of this study was to explore the normative expectations of positive emotions such as happiness and pride in Korean culture by analyzing the children's textbooks in the Chosen Dynasty period. The method of this study was document analysis and the materials for analysis were 'Dongmongsensp', 'Gyukmongyogyul', 'Myungimbogam', and 'Sohak', that were the textbooks for children's education and invoked the ethics of individual life based on Confucianism. The analysis was focused on the antecedent events, emotional consequences, and emotional regulation in the emotional process of happiness and pride. According to the analysis, happiness was caused by the accomplishment of cultural tasks such as supporting parents, observing laws, being moderate, improving oneself with reading good books, and modeling good deeds, as well as parents' love, which had desirable consequences. Hence, the emotional regulation was to enhance happiness, but far as immoderate experience of happiness, the regulatory rule was expected to suppress it. Also, the antecedents of pride were those demonstrating to have power or occupying a high social position, and the consequences of pride led to self-destruction, and pride was therefore not allowed to be expressed. Consequently, happiness was enhanced because it motivated individuals to accomplish cultural tasks of interdependence, whereas pride was inhibited because it tended to disengage self from social connectedness.

Park Dujin has written the nature poems through his keen sense for light and the emotion of Sinmyeong(the excited and enthusiastic mind) from his early poetry to his later poetry. His poetic emotions, with the periods of his composition of poems, are expressed in the juxtaposition of the waiting for something or the existential agony with the devout faith. But he has pursued tile monistic nature through the emotion of light and Sinmeoung. Therefore all his poems are characterized as the nature poems which expose the artistic wholeness transcending the ideology and spirit of his times. Up to the present, Korean ecological poems have been absorbed in examining and criticizing the crisis for the environmental pollution and the destruction of ecosystem. Therefore Korean ecological poems could not get out of the dualistic ecological consciousness of the opposing environment confronting between man and nature. The ecological peculiarity in Park Dujin's nature poems is not the level of the man-oriented environment or bioecology but the monistic nature which man and nature are unified. This fact can be said to be caused by the approach to the objects on the basis of the sense for light and the emotion of Sinmyeong which perceive the transcendental nature.

Effects of the music and white noise on recovery of the autonomic and cortical responses evoked by aversive visual stimulation were analyzed in 20 subjects. It was suggested that the music is able to exert modulatory influence on the physiological activity resulted from exposure to unpleasant IAPS based stimuli. Spectral power of DDG, heart rate(HR)respiration rate (RSR) and electrodermal activity(EDA)were recorded and analyzed for each experimental condition. It was observed HR and RSR deceleration, increased EDA and electrocortical activation expressed in decreased alpha power and increase of delta activity ao occipital and frontal areas. Obtained results suggest that audutory stimulation both with pleasant and sad music lead to restoration of pre-stimulation activation levels of most physiological parameters during listenning to music and in post-stimulation period. White noise evoked short-term physiological responses typical for orienting reaction and quite distinct from changes produced by music. Available data to differentiate effeces among pleasant and sad music, due toqualitative similarities of physilolgical patterns, but suppert an assumption that music is capable to facilitate the process of recovery of physilolgical responses elicited by visual stimulation of negative valence, thus positively modulate post-stress state.

The past Romanticism, which emphasized loveful, womanish property, has changed into new-concept Romanticism as it was harmonized with various emotional cultures and trends in the 21st century. New-concept romanticism is found in various fields ranging from personality, diversity and discrimination to emotion. It is appearing as a new style searching for taste as it is mixed and matched with other fields. In fashion, Romanticism and mix-and-match trend provide womanish feeling through the match with romantic chiffon, high-waisted pants and cashmere cardigan and show modern emotion through vest and short blazer. Therefore, it is necessary to reconsider the method to analyze and express fashion emotion style on the basis of mix-and-match trend of Romanticism. The purpose of this study is to analyze how Romanticism is expressed in the mix and match with other emotional style, predict direction of Romanticism style and establish the ground to find changing fashion trend accurately. The researcher expects that design development will be focused on the fashion, which is more various and characteristic and search for convenient, healthy life, on the basis of the analysis on mix and match shown in Romanticism fashion of the study. The researcher tried to provide the base of design development and assist design activation by using mix and match, which can create various new styles, accurately and understanding and predicting the fashion trend of the 21st century.

Although the recognition and emotion about space is subjective and individual, if standard is proposed through common factor, objective, quantified space image evaluation will be available. In addition, space image evaluation standard caused by recognitive-emotional factor can meet requests of space users and increase psychological satisfactions. The purpose of this study is to grasp the space image caused by recognitive-emotional factor in space with PAD model and analyze the evaluation of space image giving visual, recognitive and emotional effects. The analysis result revealed that 'joyfulness' and access-avoidance had a very similar distribution. The result means that space is evaluated with the degree of 'joyfulness' for space and it is led by approach-avoidance behavior. The recognition factor that forms and evaluates space image and decides approach-avoidance is expressed as adjective images such as 'fresh, joyful, light and static and its emotional factors are adjective images such as 'calm, allowable, joyful and quiet'.

the objective of this study is to design and evaluate a methodology for diagnosing the appendicitis in a fuzzy neural network that integrates the partition of input space by fuzzy entropy and the generation of fuzzy control rules and learning algorithm. In particular the diagnosis of appendicitis depends on the rule of thumb of the experts such that it associates with the region, the characteristics, the degree of the ache and the potential symptoms. In this scheme the basic idea is to realize the fuzzy rle base and the process of reasoning by neural network and to make the corresponding parameters of the fuzzy control rules be adapted by back propagation learning rule. To eliminate the number of the parameters of the rules, the output of the consequences of the control rules is expressed by the network's connection weights. As a result we obtain a method for reducing the system's complexities. Through computer simulations the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified for the diagnosis of appendicitis.

This study is about the human sensibility measurement method. Researches on human sensibility measurement have been performed in many aspects. However, due to the subtlety and intricacy of human sensibility, it has been difficult to exactly measure human sensibility.At present, Semantic Differential(SD) method is most widely used to quantify human sensibility. In SD method, complicate human sensibility is represented on a scale with equal interval or equal ratio. However, this method has a critical problem in that human sensibility cannot be expressed with equal interval or equal ratio.In order to complement SD method and represent human sensibilities appropriately, we proposed an alternative method using the chroma-scale with saturation that had not equal interval or ratio. In experiment, proposed method shown that subjects understood a new scale easily and they could express their sensibilities on a new scale without any limitation. As a result, the chroma-scale can be used not only for measuring consumer's preference but also for evaluating or selecting sensibility words.

'Emotional Design' is appeared recently as one of the important issues in design field. Emotional Design is understanded from a interactive point of view, human and interior space. Child's formation of character grows in human, environment, space all. At all, growth process itself who develop infant's formation of character can speak that have function of emotional communication. Therefore, this study wishes to recognize how element of emotional design was reflected through analysis of children's hospital considering child's emotion reacting most sensitively about effect of surrounding environment. As result, Various sensitivity element through senses that can rouse interest in more child's emotion in children's hospital design is mayhave to reflected.

From the mid-1980s '91s, remarkable Ethnicism and Primitivism in the Europe fashion trend could be represented as an exotic taste longing for secenery and emotion of non-europe area in the West. These phenomenon could be found out in connection with Acculturation, which means when two different cultures or more were contacted they were identified or merged in process of diffusion and change of them. This point of view was the culture anthropologic one that make a comparison and analysis of sameness and difference between cultures. The purpose of this study was to illuminate exotic taste represented in costume in the cluture-anthroplogic aspect, to compare with beauty of costume that each culture of costume and the meaning of the times due to those differences. an aspect of the exotic taste and character in the western costume that was inspected by dividing into 'Primitivism', 'Oriental element' and 'the element of a national costume in the East European bloc ' were as follows; First, Primitivism had something in common with what was pursued in the trend of Modern Art, through the late 19th century to the early 20th century. In fashion fettered by technique, the creation expressed in a free was and showed simple beauty of costume. At the same time, pure emotion expression, creative power and witty strong expression give the cognition of transcendency breaking the routine and the cognition of complexity of an included conception. Those are garments showing not only the primitive thought and mysticism but a fancy, an abstraction, and a life. Colors and accessaries which described nature and matched simple costume composition to the expression of various material or patterns transmitted the image of the primitive strongly. Second, "Drental element" which had an effect on western custome historically in a long time had outstanding luxurios adornmental beauty of custome. Extending from the Arab stated India, China, Korea, Japan, each national costume with a gay national culture became one of motif. Various ornamental factors expressed on Trapez Line, Sime Line and Drape, or Raied style, which did not restrict the body. Those were not only functional Easy Look, but were also satisfying human's ornamental desire. Third, national factors in the East European bloc are theme that begins to be embossed in the late 80's. In view of a political change and cultural situation with a double character of Europe and Orient, it was estimated that national factors have great importance in fashion. Item concerned with new concern appeared at Autumn & Winter collection. It shows elegant and graceful beauty of costume by adding a fur or jewel to simple form. These national factors in the East European bloc are simple form, but shows the difference in more cubic formation than form expressed in Primitivism or Oriental factors Exotic taste appeared form 80's to 91's, is thought to create an forgotten romantic emotion and traditional fashion

Due to recent interest in user experience and its significance, much research surrounding this theme is now being conducted. In this research, I investigated user experience during usage of a product and the satisfaction acquired by it, as well as the relationship between satisfaction of having used a product and whether the user would be more likely to purchase another product from the same company. The same experiment was conducted in South Korea and the United States of America in order to get more generalized experimental results. I found that amongst the six representative user emotions expressed while using a product, two of them correlated the most. First, 'Satisfaction in Usability' (the emotions aroused by satisfaction with usage or the practicality of the product); and second, 'Discomfort or Displeasure' (uncomfortable or unpleasant emotions expressed while using a product. The above two factors were found to be of the most influence concerning satisfaction of the product. Also 'Satisfaction in Usability' was found to be of the most influence in their preferability towards purchasing an item from the same company in the future. The significance of this finding is that aside from focussing on the attractiveness of the product's exteriors and design, one should be concerned on the ease of usage and effectiveness as well as usability of the product, all of which contribute to how efficiently a consumer will utilize the product. Furthermore, in agreement with previous research concerning the correlation between satisfaction of a product and positive perspective on consecutive purchases, the result of this study shows that the more satisfaction consumers feel after using a product, the more likely they are to purchase additional merchandises from the same company which manufactured the original product.
