Therefore, an effective strategy of overseas expansion is needed. Given the current state of such spatial information industry, V-World is expected to play a very important role. In the world market for space information, in order to ensure the export competitiveness of the domestic space information industry, in the present study, research and development was carried out on the V-World-based packaged goods model as one possible method. First of all, to analyze the current situation and characteristics of the spatial information industry, to grasp V-World as a commodity and derive the relationship between foreign demand and V-World, the sales destinations and methods were defined. To formulate the basic strategy of the fusion-composite package export utilizing V-World on the basis of the basic concept of the product, the necessary components were designed. In response to this fusion-composite package product mix, the overseas promotion of spatial information-related companies it to be expected.

  • More accurate forecasting of port cargo in the global long-term recession is critical for the implementation of port policy. In this study, the Busan Port container volume (export cargo and transshipment cargo) was estimated using the Vector Autoregressive (VAR) model and the vector error correction (VEC) model considering the causal relationship between the economic scale (GDP) of Korea, China, and the U.S. as well as ARIMA, a single volume model. The measurement data was the monthly volume of container shipments at the Busan port J anuary 2014-August 2019. According to the analysis, the time series of import and export volume was estimated by VAR because it was relatively stable, and transshipment cargo was non-stationary, but it has cointegration relationship (long-term equilibrium) with economic scale, interest rate, and economic fluctuation, so estimated by the VEC model. The estimation results show that ARIMA is superior in the stationary time-series data (local cargo) and transshipment cargo with a trend are more predictable in estimating by the multivariate model, the VEC model. Import-export cargo, in particular, is closely related to the size of our country's economy, and transshipment cargo is closely related to the size of the Chinese and American economies. It also suggests a strategy to increase transshipment cargo as the size of China's economy appears to be closer than that of the U.S.

  • This study analyzes Big Data to understand the economic influence of K-Beauty which is expected as a fast-growing industry. Because the content of K-beauty is mainly transmitted over the Internet, Big Data about K-Beauty in the database of online services can show interest and engagement in K-Beauty. The export volume of the beauty industry and the number of foreign tourist in Korea were used as dependent variables. The volume of Google search and the volume of YouTube page view were independent variables. According to the result of a multi-regression analysis, the volume of Google search of K-Beauty had a positive influence on both dependent variables, even after controlling for GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and distances between nations. When it comes to the volume of YouTube page view of K-Beauty, it had a positive relationship with the export volume of the beauty industry, whereas there was no significant relationship between the volume of YouTube page view and the number of foreign tourists. The result indicates that the content of K-Beauty has a significant impact on the beauty industry. Moreover, this empirical study shows that web search and YouTube search have a positive relationship with the economical aspect. These results can be used to discuss public relations strategy to promote K-Beauty industry.

Documentary credit is most used for trade importers' credit quality and the guarantee of the purchase price as the form of payment in export and import business dealings. The beneficiary must provide the documents required in a letter of credit in order to claim payment documents from the issuing bank, this leads to certain complexity during the procedure in practice, the preparation and the expenses of significant requirements and additional documents as well as in completing demands from the credit. In a result, there has been issues raised about the aspects of time and cost during the payment process. The outcome of such problems caused by delays in the existing trade procedure is the public to require the use of e-L/C in order to improve problems from the 'Transaction Cost' side. This study provides e-L/C's use to overcome the problems that are appearing from 'Transaction Cost' side as the aspect of time and the cost. In order to do so, we have to identify the problems in the original credit and e-L/C. Thus, provide the propose strategy of e-L/C from the Transaction Cost aspect.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a new strategy from a different angle to become a preferred transshipment hub for sustainable growth. This study would derive new competitive factors through the case study on a global carrier 'A' who shows constant growth in transshipment via Busan and the questionnaire survey was conducted. As to analysis results by matrix, Busan Port needs to strengthen its competitiveness against North China ports due to less local import/export cargo volume and less government support while North China ports continue to be developed with incremental direct calling and government's flexible cabotage rule.

  • A firm seeking to enter a foreign market must make an important strategic decision of which market entry mode to use. Because entry modes involve resource commitments, the initial choice by a firm on a particular entry mode is difficult to change without a considerable loss of time and money. Substantial prior research has been undertaken to explain why firms select a particular entry mode into global markets. However, there exists limited research on this area in the field of foreign apparel brands in Korea, although some research has analyzed influential entry mode factors when Korean textile and clothing companies went overseas. This study reviews prior research on the entry mode choice and analyzes the factors that influence the entry mode choice for 510 foreign clothing brands in Korea. Price range, clothing types, distribution strategy, and cultural distance were considered as influential determinants for different entry mode choices. Crosstabs with a chi-square test and logistic regression are used for analysis. This study shows that high-priced brands and luxury brands are associated with the export orientated entry mode in the Korean market. Brands that pursued the strategy of multiple distribution channels showed a preference for a licensing mode or direct investment over other entry modes, and brands from higher-cultural-distance countries entered the Korean clothing market by licensing mode. The findings of this study are appropriate for the strategic planning of foreign apparel intent on entering the Korean market or for Korean apparel firms planning to enter the global market.
