미세균열의 길이 및 간격 분포를 이용한 결의 평가(1) (Evaluation for Rock Cleavage Using Distribution of Microcrack Lengths and Spacings (1))

  • 미세균열의 길이와 간격의 분포를 이용하여 쥬라기 거창화강암에서 발달하는 결의 특성을 분석하였다. 상기 길이와 간격에 대한 분포상은 박편의 확대사진(${\times}6.7$)에서 도출하였다. 일차적으로, 여섯 방향의 결에 대한 길이 및 간격-누적빈도 도표를 미세균열의 길이의 밀도가 증가하는 순(($H2{\rightarrow}R1$)으로 배열하였다. 상기 두 종류의 도표의 결합을 통하여 다양한 파라미터를 추출하였다. 3개 채석면 및 3개 결을 대변하는 판별요소들은 파라미터의 값 사이의 상호 대비를 통하여 획득하였다. 이 연구의 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 여섯 방향의 결에 대한 평가는 간격(${\alpha}$, ${\lambda}_S$) 및 길이(${\beta}$, ${\lambda}_L$)와 관련된 두 지수 직선 사이의 (1) 교차각(${\alpha}-{\beta}$) 및 (2) 지수차(${\lambda}_S-{\lambda}_L$)과 같은 파라미터를 이용하여 수행하였다. 파라미터(1 및 2)의 값은 H(3번 결, (H1 + H2)/2) < G(2번 결, (G1 + G2)/2) < R(1번 결, (R1 + R2)/2)의 순서이다. 반면에 3개 면에 대한 상기 2개 파라미터의 값은 R < G < H의 순서이다. 한편, 두 지수 직선 사이의 수렴방향을 도출하였다. 상기 방향은 선 ol을 중심으로 하여 선 os'의 배치에 따른다. 선 ol이 좌측의 상부 영역 그리고 선 os'가 우측의 하부영역에 위치하는 경우, 상기 두 지수 직선은 Y축의 방향으로 수렴한다(R-유형). 반면에, 선 ol 및 선 os'의 배열순이 역전되었을 때에는 상기 두 선은 X축의 방향으로 수렴한다(H-유형). 특히, 두 수직선의 배열에 의하여 교차각(${\alpha}-{\beta}$)의 양(+) 혹은 음(-)의 값이 결정된다. 이러한 유형의 상관성 분석은 결의 상대적인 강도 평가 및 3개 채석면의 판별에 유용하다.

  • 거창지역의 쥬라기 화강암에 대하여 결의 특성에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 미세균열의 분포상은 박편의 확대사진(${\times}6.7$)에서 잘 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 미세균열의 분포 특성을 표현하기 위하여 길이-누적 빈도 도표를 사용하였다. 여섯 방향의 도표를 밀도(${\rho}$)의 강도 순으로 배열하였다. 관계도에서 이들 도표들은 H2 < H1 < G2 < G1 < R2 < R1의 순서로 나타난다. 여섯 도표들 중에서, 하드웨이 2(H2)의 도표가 좌측의 최하위 영역을 차지한다. 반면에, 리프트 1(R1)의 도표가 우측의 최상위 영역을 차지한다. 두 도표의 곡선 형태는 밀도의 증가에 따라 균등분포에서 지수함수의 분포형으로 변화한다. 도표들의 전반적인 분포 특성은 지수 직선과 관련이 있는 지수(${\lambda}$)의 크기 및 선 oa의 길이에서 잘 확인되었다. 기울기(${\theta}$)의 값을 지배하는 지수의 크기는 수(N), 길이(L) 및 밀도와 같은 모수의 값과 반비례를 한다. 반면에, 선 oa의 길이는 위의 3개 모수의 값과 정비례를 한다. 도표의 배열 순과 관련이 있는 상기 미세균열의 모수들은 3번 결(H1 + H2) < 2번 결(G1 + G2) < 1번 결(R1 + R2)의 순서로 나타난다. 여섯 도표 사이에서는 점진적인 변화를 하는 분포 특성을 볼 수 있다. 도표의 배열 순은 결의 상대적인 강도를 지시한다. 한편 기울기, 지수, 밀도 및 선 oa의 길이와 같은 모수들을 H2 < H1 < G2 < G1 < R2 < R1의 순으로 배열하였다. 관계도에서는 부드러운 이차함수의 변화 곡선을 볼 수 있다. 밀도 그리고 상기한 모수들 사이의 상관도로부터, 멱법칙 함수를 따르는 공통적인 규칙성을 도출하였다. 마지막으로, 결에 대한 분석은 도표 그리고 미세균열의 모수 사이의 결합을 통하여 수행되었다. 이러한 유형의 결합은 결의 평가에 있어서 진보성에 기여한다.

대형 트럭의 선회 주행특성 해석을 위한 컴퓨터 모델의 개발 (Development of a Computer Model for the Turning Maneuver Analysis of a Heavy Truck)

  • this paper develops a computational model for the turning maneuver analysis of a cabover type heavy truck. The model having 42 degree-of-freedom is developed using ADAMS. Leaf springs used in the front and rear suspension systems are modeled by dividing it three links and joining them with joints. Force and displacement relationship showing nonlinear hysteric characteristics of the leaf spring is measured and modeled with an exponential function. A velocity and force relationship of a shock absorber is measured and modeled with a spline function. And a stabilizer bar is modeled using ADAMS beam element to consider a twisting and bending effect. To verify the developed model an actual vehicle test is performed in the double lane change course with 50kph and 60kph vehicle velocity. In the actual vehicle test lateral acceleration roll angle and yaw rate are measured, The tendency and peak-to-peak values of the actual vehicle test and simultion results are compared each other.

유비쿼터스 기반 스포츠비즈니스모델 설계과정 (Designing Processes for Ubiquitous-based Sport Business Model)

  • Business organizations are asked to create new business models utilizing current technological innovations such as ubiquitous computing technology for developing new domains of business to obtain a competitive advantage and achieve a sustainable development. This study was focused on the processes for developing new and practical business models. The purpose of this study was to propose ubiquitous sport business modeling processes from the modeling framework. In particular, this study focused on developing new, pragmatic, and effective sport business models, and this new type of business is defined as 'u-sport.' For design the business model, extensive literature reviews and case studies were conducted for benchmarking the cases and expert group review was conducted for developing u-sport business model framework. The suggested business modeling processes in this study were consisted of four phases; 1) organization strategy level setting phase, 2) business strategy level setting phase, 3) business structure level setting phase, and 4) service level setting phase. The modeling processes were verified to adapt ubiquitous sport business. This designing and modeling process is expected to play a significant role on enhancing the technology-based business environments as the process mainly focuses on the service and consumer oriented approach rather than technology and suppliers oriented approach. In conclusion, establishing sport business models by adapting the service modeling process will deliver an exponential growth and development of future ubiquitous based industry.

  • The present study was designed to investigate cellular regulation of phosphate metabolism between catabolically repressed and derepressed states in yeast (Saccharomyces uvarum). The activities of various phospatases and the contents of phosphate compounds were detected according to the culture phase and various phosphate concentrations. As the results, Saccharomyces uvarum derepressed many phosphate metabolizing enzymes such as alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase and ATPase more than ten fold simultaneously during catabolic repression (phospgate and sugar starvation). At the same state, the amounts of orthophosphate, nucleotidic labile phosphate and acid soluble polypgosphate were increased, compared to basal levels of normally cultivated cells. $Mg^{++}-stimulated$ type among all phospatases was appeared to have most of the enzyme activity. It could be postulated that $K^+ -stimulated$ alkaline phosphatase was directly or indirectly correlated with the synthesis of acid insoluble polyphosphate $Mg^{++}-stimulated$ phosphatase with the degradation of polyphosphates. In case of cultivation in the medium supplemented with sugar and phosphate (catabolic derepression), phospgatase activities except for alkaline phosphatase were decreased rapidly through the progressive batch culture, After 12 hrs culture, at early exponential phase, the cellular accumulation of acid insoluble polyphosphate increased about 5 fold, compared to those of the starved cells. Under catabolic repression, it could be postulated that intracellular phosphate metabolism was regulated by derepressions of phosphatases. The function of polyphosphate system was shown to compensate the ATP/ADP system as phosphate donor and energy source especially during catabolic repression.

임펄스 발생기의 회로 설계 파라미터 예측계산과 10/350${\mu}s$ 뇌임펄스 전류발생기 적용 (Design Circuit Parameter Estimation of Impulse Generator and its application to 10/350${\mu}s$ Lightning Impulse Current Generator)

  • This paper presents design parameter calculation methodology and its realization to construction for the 10/350${\mu}s$ lightning impulse current generator(ICG) modelled as double exponential function waveform with characteristic parameters ${\alpha},{\beta}$. Matlab internal function, "fzero" was applied to find ${\lambda}={\alpha}/{\beta}$ which is solution of nonlinear equation linearly related with two wave parameter $T_1$ and $T_2$. The calculation results for 10/350${\mu}s$ lightning impulse current show very good accuracy with error less 0.03%. Two type of 10/350${\mu}s$ ICGs based on the calculated design circuit parameters were fabricated by considering the load variation. One is applicable to the MOV based Surge protective device(SPD) for less 15 kA and the other is to test small resistive devices such as spark gap arrester and bonding device with maximum current capability 30 kA. The tested waveforms show error within 10% in comparison with the designed estimation and the waveform tolerance recommended in the IEC 61643-1 and IEC 60060-1.

H-S 유동의 점성효과를 고려한 원심압축기 회전차내부의 준3차원 유동해석 (Quasi-3-Dimensional Analysis of Compressible Flow within a Blade Row Including Viscous Effect in H-S Flow)

  • For the numerical computation of three-dimensional compressible flow field within a blade row in a centrifugal compressor, a quasi 3-dimensional solver which combines a reversible B-B flow and an irreversible H-S flow using finite element methods was developed. In a reversible B-B flow, the governing coordinates are modified in order to be applied to any type of turbomachinery, and two kinds of stream functions are introduced in order to make the Kutta condition exactly satisfied. In an irreversible H-S flow, the changes of entropy in the irreversible governing equations are determined not by empirical source but by the theoretical treatment of dissipation forces. The dissipation forces are obtained from the distribution of shear stresses in the flow passage which are given from the wall shear stresses using the exponential functions. A more accurate quasi-3-dimensional solver is established where the effect of body forces is involved in the non-axisymmetric H-S flow. Some numerical results obtained from authors' previous studies for axial flow machines assure that the present method is able to predict well as long as the flow is subsonic and not under strong viscous effect.

실험실 규모 순환유동층 연소로에서 2차공기 주입이 냉간유동에 미치는 영향 (Secondary Air Injection Effect on Cold Flow in a Laboratory-scale Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustor)

  • Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustor(CFBC) has been used for the incineration of waste sewage sludge and for the power generation. In this study hydrodynamic characteristics of two phase flow have been studied in a riser section of CFBC. A lab-scale riser is designed and SiC (Geldart type B) is used for solid particles. Experiments are performed by controlling the fluidization parameters including superficial velocity and secondary air to primary air ratio for determination of solid holdup profiles in the riser. Superficial velocities of each fluidization regime are well agreed with results predicted by a theoretical model. The results show that the axial solid holdup distributions calculated by measuring differential static pressures in the riser are found to show a basic profile described by a simple exponential function. Our flow regime during experiments mainly belongs to fast fluidization regime for particle size of 300${\mu}m$. As the SA/PA ratio increases, solid holdup in the lower dense region of the riser increases.

Thermal effects on nonlinear dynamic characteristics of polymer-CNT-fiber multiscale nanocomposite structures

  • In the present study, nonlinear dynamic response of polymer-CNT-fiber multiscale nanocomposite plate resting on elastic foundations in thermal environments using the finite element method is performed. In this regard, the governing equations are derived based on Inverse Hyperbolic Shear Deformation Theory and von $K{\acute{a}}rm{\acute{a}}n$ geometrical nonlinearity. Three type of distribution of temperature through the thickness of the plate namely, uniform linear and nonlinear are considered. The considered element is C1-continuous with 15 DOF at each node. The effective material properties of the multiscale composite are calculated using Halpin-Tsai equations and fiber micromechanics in hierarchy. The carbon nanotubes are assumed to be uniformly distributed and randomly oriented through the epoxy resin matrix. Five types of impulsive loads are considered, namely the step, sudden, triangular, half-sine and exponential pulses. After examining the validity of the present work, the effects of the weight percentage of SWCNTs and MWCNTs, nanotube aspect ratio, volume fraction of fibers, plate aspect, temperature, elastic foundation parameters, distribution of temperature and shape of impulsive load on nonlinear dynamic response of CNT reinforced multi-phase laminated composite plate are studied in details.

Experiments are performed by controlling the fluidization parameters including superficial velocity, particle diameter and secondary air to primary air ratio for determination of solid holdup profiles in the riser. Our flow regime during experiments mainly belongs to the onset of turbulent regime(for d_{p}:300{\mu}m) and fast fluidization regime(for d_{p}:100{\mu}m). Superficial velocities of each regime are well agreed with results obtained by other researches. The results show that the axial solid holdup distributions calculated by measuring differential static pressures in the riser are found to show a basic profile described by a simple exponential function. As the particle size decreases, solid holdup along the riser is more uniformly distributed. To prove these experimental results, numerical calculations are being performed.
