복합 폭발하중을 받는 GFRP 보강 RC 벽체 구조물의 비선형 충격 손상거동 해석 (Analysis of impact damage behavior of GFRP-strengthened RC wall structures subjected to multiple explosive loadings)

  • 본 논문에서는 폭발하중으로 발생하는 폭풍파의 충격하중과 폭풍파로 초래된 파편의 충돌하중을 동시에 받는 RC 벽체 구조물의 비선형 충돌 손상거동 해석이 수행된다. 이를 위해 먼저 가상 폭발사고 시나리오로부터 RC 콘크리트 구조물에 충격과 충돌 하중이 복합적으로 작용하는 경우를 선정한다. 폭발하중으로 인한 구조물의 저항성능을 확보하기 방안으로는 GFRP 재료를 보강하는 경우가 고려되고, GFRP 무보강 RC 구조물과 보강성능을 비교하여 제시한다. 또한, 막대한 시설과 비용 투자가 요구되는 폭발실험과 근접한 해석을 도출하기 위하여 실제 충격과 충돌 현상을 정확하게 묘사한 구성방정식과 상태방정식을 포함시킨 정교한 해석을 수행한다. 폭발하중과 같은 순간적인 동적 문제를 해석하기 위하여 외연적 고속충돌 해석 프로그램인 AUTODYN-3D을 활용하여 두 가지 대상구조물에 대한 수치 모의실험을 수행하고 GFRP로 보강된 RC 벽체 구조물의 보강성능을 입증한다.

  • 반도체, 디스플레이 등 IT(Information Technology) 제품 수요 증가로 관련 산업이 확대되고 있다. 이는 생산설비 증설과 화학물질 사용 증가로 이어지며 화재·폭발의 위험성에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 위험요인에 대해 정부는 오래전부터 인화성 물질을 제조·사용·취급하는 장소의 사고 예방을 위하여 산업안전보건법 및 KS 기준에 따라 폭발위험 장소로 설정하여 관리토록 하고 있다. 그러나, 폭발위험장소를 설정할 때, 중요한 요소인 환기량을 고려하지 않아 실질적인 폭발분위기 조성 가능성을 예측하기는 쉽지 않다. 이 연구에서는 디스플레이 산업에서 주요 공정인 CVD(Chemical Vapor Deposition) 설비에 SEMI S6 Exhaust Ventilation Test 방법을 적용하여 위험한 설비의 환기 성능을 평가하고, 폭발분위기 조성 가능성을 확인하였다. 그 결과, 가상의 시나리오 내에서 환기 성능이 SEMI S6에서 규정한 기준에 적합하였고, 폭발분위기가 조성될 가능성이 낮음을 확인하였다. 따라서, KS 규격뿐만 아니라 공학적 기법으로 폭발분위기의 형성 여부를 예측한 연구 결과를 통해 합리적이고 경제적인 사고 예방에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • For one-shot systems such as 81mm high-explosive ammunition, research on performance prediction is insignificant due to research manpower infrastructure and lack of interest and difficulties in securing field data, which can only be done by special task workers. In order to evaluate the actual range of ammunition, the storage ammunition reliability evaluation checks the range by firing actual ammunition through a functional test. Test evaluation is a method of extracting a sample from the population, launching it, and recording the results accordingly. As a result of these tests, the range, which is an indicator of ammunition performance, can be measured differently according to meteorological factors such as temperature, atmospheric pressure, and humidity according to the location of the test site. In this study, various environmental factors generated at the test site and storage period analyze the correlation with the range, which is the performance of ammunition, and analyze the priority of importance for each factor and the numerical standards that environmental factors affect range. Through this, a new approach to one-shot system performance prediction was presented.

  • The objective of design for a post flash-over fire is contain the fire and prevent structural collapse, as necessary to meet the performance requirements. In the post flash-over phase of a fire all of the combustible objects in the compartment are burning and the heat release rate is limited either by the fuel surface area or the available air supply. So for the PBD situations, the process of evaluation method for fire phenomena is very important. It is the aim of this study to investigate and analyze the evaluation method of structural fire resistance in Japan.

  • For the past years, wireless communications environment have developed with explosive demand of internet service and increase of subscriber. Anytime anywhere, we can access internet service and recently, we can access internet with portable terminal using wireless communications. So several schemes have been proposed for the efficient service. In this paper, we may improve performance of wibro system using adaptive antennas scheme at the base station (BS) and mobile station(MS),operating jointly. In wibro system, the joint use of transmit beamforming at BS and receive beamforming at MS is improved the SINR and increased the capacity compared to conventional system[1],[2].

  • An automated procedure which allows adaptation of spatial and time discretization simultaneously in finite element analysis of linear elastodynamic problems is presented. For dynamic problems having responses dominated by high frequency modes, such as those with impact, explosive, traveling and earthquake loads high gradient stress regions change their locations from time to time. And the time step size may need to vary in order to deal with whole process ranging from transient phase to steady state phase. As the sizes of elements in space vary in different regions, the procedure also permits different time stepping. In such a way, the best performance attainable by the finite element method can be achieved. In this study, we estimate both of the kinetic energy error and stran energy error induced by spatial and time discretization in a consistent manner. Numerical examples are used to demonstrate the performance of the procedure.

  • Depleted uranium (DU) outperforms tungsten heavy alloys (WHA) by about 10%. Because of environmental and hence, political concerns, there is a need to improve WHA performance, in order to replace the DU penetrators. A technique of metal powder compaction by the detonation of an explosive has been applied to tungsten-titanium(W-Ti) powder materials that otherwise may be difficult to fabricate conventionally or have dissimilar, nonequilibrium, or unique me1astab1e substructures. However, the engineering properties of compacted materials are not widely reported and are little known especially for the "unique" composition of W-Ti alloy. To develop high-performance tungsten composites with superior ballistic attributes, it is necessary to understand, carefully document controlled experimental results, and develop basic computational models for potential composites with controlled microstructures. A detailed understanding and engineering application of W-Ti alloy can lead to the development of new structural design for engineering components and materials.

  • The explosive Increase of wireless networks and the advancement of mobile devices lead to the expansion of mobile environment. In accordance with the development of mobile environment, the need to use mobile database is increased sharply, and also it accompanies the related problems. The current mobile database system is based on the centralized method from which a synchronized server manages multiple mobile database management system to synchronize. From this mobile system architecture, several kinds of problems can be detected such as the management of synchronization issues between mobile databases and the transaction management issues. Furthermore, the current mobile database management system does not consider any solution on the fault tolerance. To solve those problems, this paper proposes the mobile agent-based mobile database management system. The proposed system provide high confidence and efficiency by enhancing the network efficiency and fault tolerance through the mobile grouping.

A New Hybrid Architecture for Cooperative Web Caching

  • An effective solution to the problems caused by the explosive growth of World Wide Web is a web caching that employing an additional server, called proxy cache, between the clients and main server for caching the popular web objects near the clients. However, a single proxy cache can easily become the bottleneck. Deploying groups of cooperative caches provides scalability and robustness by eliminating the limitations caused by a single proxy cache. Two common architectures to implement the cooperative caching are hierarchical and distributed caching systems. Unfortunately, both architectures suffer from performance limitations. We propose an efficient hybrid caching architecture eliminating these limitations by using both the hierarchical and same level caches. Our performance evaluation with our investigated simulator shows that the proposed architecture offers the best of both existing architectures in terms of cache hit rate, the number of query messages from clients, and response time.

국방 분야의 인간-차량 인터랙션 연구 (A Survey of Research on Human-Vehicle Interaction in Defense Area)

  • We present recent human-vehicle interaction (HVI) research conducted in the area of defense and military application. Research topics discussed in this paper include: training simulation for overland navigation tasks; expertise effects in overland navigation performance and scan patterns; pilot's perception and confidence on an overland navigation task; effects of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) supervisory control on F-18 formation flight performance in a simulator environment; autonomy balancing in a manned-unmanned teaming (MUT) swarm attack, enabling visual detection of IED (Improvised Explosive Device) indicators through Perceptual Learning Assessment and Training; usability test on DaViTo (Data Visualization Tool); and modeling peripheral vision for moving target search and detection. Diverse and leading HVI study in the defense domain suggests future research direction in other HVI emerging areas such as automotive industry and aviation domain.
