Construction managers who are placed on the top of the construction production organization should exhibit its best knowledges concerning all aspects and control related members at every position properly. In case of CM firms in developed countries, they are equipped with a practical system of technology and management knowledge, and efficiently use the knowledge not only for novices but also experts. However, the domestic CM firms which are now at the lower level than those in developed country are not supported with the sufficient and systematic knowledge for CM tasks due to various reasons. Therefore, the objective of this study is to suggest the direction and strategy for the development of an experts-knowledge management system to enhance the construction productivity at the viewpoint of CM firms which conduct, manage and supervise various tasks of construction projects. Domestic CM firms would play a great role to enhance productivity and secure competitive advantage of project management as much as the firms in developed countries if experts-knowledge and information are supported by a computerized system.

Organizational climate and organization culture can be some of the leading factors in hindering knowledge sharing within the organization. It is generally accepted that successful knowledge management practice, including knowledge sharing, comes as a result of a conducive and knowledge sharing friendly environment. Organizations that promote and reward collective work generate a trustful and a more collaborative learning culture. The perception of fairness in an organization has been considered an important indicator of employee behavior, attitude, and motivation. This study investigates organizational justice perception and its impact on knowledge sharing practices among forensic experts in the Turkish National Police. The study findings revealed that senior officers, who are experts in the field, have the strongest organizational justice perception. Meanwhile, noncommissioned officers or technicians bear positive but comparatively weaker feelings about the existence of justice within the organization. The study argues that those who satisfy their career expectations tend to have a higher organizational justice perception.

In Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), tacit knowledge which is usually possessed as forms like know-how, experiences, and etc. is hard to be systemized while managing explicit knowledge is comparatively easy using information technology such as databases, Recent researches in knowledge management have shown that it is more applicable in many ways to provide expert search mechanisms in KMS to pinpoint experts in the organizations with searched expertise so that users can contact them for help, In this paper, we propose an intelligent expert search framework to provide search capabilities for experts in similar or related fields according to the user's needs. In enabling intelligent expert searches, Fuzzy Abstraction Hierarchy (FAH) framework has been adopted, through' which finding experts with similar or related expertise is possible according to the subject field hierarchy defined in the system. To test applicability and practicality of the proposed framework, the prototype system, Knowledge Portal for Researchers in Science and Technology, was developed.

The objectives of this paper are to apply fuzzy cognitive map (FCM)- related techniques to (1) extract causal knowledge from a specific problem-domain and (2) perform a series of causal analysis in complicated decision making area. We propose a set operation-based augmentation (SOBA) algorithm to combine multiple FCMs developed by multiple experts. Based on the SOBA knowledge acquisition algorithm, we can obtain a causal knowledge base fairly representing multiple experts' knowledge about a problem domain. The causal knowledge base built by SOBA algorithm can be described as a matrix form, guaranteeing mathematically compact operation compared with a production (if-then) knowledge base. We applied out method to stock market analysis problem whichis a typical of highly unstructured problems in OR/MS fields.

Owing to the limits of IT System-driven knowledge management(KM) for innovation processes, alternative KM methods has been suggested such as: (1) the knowledge network of experts or (2) communities-of-practice. This study analyzes two cases in terms of on-line expert knowledge networks for problem-solving, with the dimensions of analysis based on a theoretical framework. By analyzing the cases of S company's expert network and Naver's Ji-sik-iN, we found that system quality(e.g., ease of use, accessibility, and searching function), information/knowledge quality(e.g., usefulness, accuracy, and timeliness), knowledge-sharing culture, social capital and relevant reward systems are important for stimulating a Q&A-based problem-solving knowledge network. Implications of the findings and future research directions are discussed.

From th Study on A Study on the Thesaurus of Korean medical information for developing search engine, the conclusion is as follow. Knowledge based information system consists of concepts, facts and relation. The final goal of developing the Knowledge based information system is to select, store and control the knowledge and information of Oriental Medicine. Considering limitation of organizing the knowledge system, it is difficult to realize complete basic system and application method. In order to work, it is necessary to combine experts in each part, for example Domain experts, Information and Knowledge engineer. Through the development of knowledge based information system, we can construct EMR(Electronic Medical Record) system in the near future, and it is possible to make semi-expert system. To make Knowledge based information system, we need to establish standards of information that make the distribution of Knowledge and information easily.

This study was to investigate factors of risk perception on major environmental issues among general public and environmental experts in Korea. Structured questionnaire surveys were conducted to samples from general public and environmental experts during March and April, 2000. Total numbers of respondents were 773, general public and 353 experts. Analysis of the data showed that risk perception was correlated with health concern, environmental satisfaction, perception of environmental pollution, interest on the environmental issues, knowledge, experiences, and social-cultural consciousness, and so on. Overall environmental risk perception was affected by knowledge on environmental issues, experience of damage from environmental problems, sex and perception of environmental pollution. According to the results, environmental risk perception is not independent from social and psychological factors, and it may be desirable to consider the related factors in the process of risk communication for a more effective risk management or environmental policy.

본 논문은 사출성형제품의 게이트 설계를 합리적으로 수행하기 위해 사출금형설계전문가의 축적된 지식과 경험을 발췌·정리하여 지식베이스를 작성하였으며, 설계에 필요한 제품의 형상정보를 제공하기 위해 총칭형상과 특징형상 개념을 이용하여 특징형상을 정의하였다. 또한 지식베이스를 통해 산출된 설계결과를 기하학적 모델러와의 인터페이스를 통해 3차원 형상으로 보여지도록 하였으며 최종 생성된 3차원 기하학적 형상정보는 CAE 모듈이나 CAPP 모듈에서의 후속작업을 위해 제공될 수 있도록 구축되었다.
