유전자 알고리듬을 사용한 저전력 모듈 선택 (Low Power Module selection using Genetic Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 유전자 알고리듬을 이용하여 전력, 면적, 속도를 고려한 저전력 모듈 선택을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리듬은 최적의 모듈 선택을 통해서 전력 소모를 최소화 할 수 있다. 비교 실험에서는 최적 모듈 선택을 고려한 알고리듬은 최대 전력 감소량은 26.9 %를 얻을 수 있었고, 반면에 최소 전력 감소량은 9.0% 얻었다. 모든 벤치마크 평균 전력 감소량은 15.525%가 되었다.

  • Fast Fourier Transformation(FFT) is one of the most useful way to analyze response signal for the purpose of grasping the dynamic characteristics of system. Vibration test using impact hammer is typical and simple experimental method widely used for catching hold of dynamic peculiar characters and modal behaviors of system. In this thesis, impact testing module for NI-PXI equipment is developed. The analyzing and visualizing module are developed with LabVIEW tool. A user can see quickly and easily modal shape of system after analyzing acquired data. This developed module will be expected to build up more convenient and serviceable measurement system.

라즈베리 파이를 이용한 무선 자동차번호판 영역 추출 모듈 개발 (Development of Wireless License Plate Region Extraction Module Based on Raspberry Pi)

  • A wireless license plate region extracting module is proposed for LPR system controlling multiple gates. This module is cheaply implemented using Raspberry Pi which is open source and high performance. First, as the upper 1/3 of the captured image is discarded as it has no useful information on license plate. Using the OpenCV libraries the edge image is got by Canny algorithm after applying Gaussian filtering to gray image, and the labeling is conducted for 4 consecutive numbers in license plate. These numbers are located using various decision equations, and expanding the numbers region the final license plate region can be extracted. The result image is transferred to Server using wifi direct. Using the proposed module it becomes easy to set up and maintain the LPR system. The experimental results showed that the successful extracting rate was 98.4% using 500 car images with 640 × 480 resolution.

  • A modular multilevel-clamped composited multilevel converter ($M-MC^2$) is proposed. $M-MC^2$ enables topology reconfiguration, power device reuse, and composited clamping. An advanced five-level converter ($5L-M-MC^2$) is derived from the concept of $M-MC^2$. $5L-M-MC^2$ integrates dual three-level T-type modules and one three-level neutral point clamped module. This converter can also integrate dual three-level T-type modules and one passive diode module by utilizing the device reuse scheme. The operation principle and SPWM modulation are discussed to highlight converter performance. The proposed $M-MC^2$ is comprehensively compared with state-of-the-art five-level converters. Finally, simulations and experimental results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the main contributions of this study.

  • In this paper, we design a digital protection IED(Intelligent Electric Device) for a distributed power system in connection with power grid. The device can measure various elements for protection and communicate with another devices through network. The protection IED is composed of specific function modules: signal process module which converts analog signal from PT and CT handle algorithm to digital one; communication module for connection with another IEDs; input/output module for user-interfaces; main control module for control the whole modules. A general purpose DSP board with TMS320C2812 is used in the IED. Experiments with the power system simulator DOBLE have been made to verily the proposed hardware system.

  • Nowaday, The Sustainable Development about global environment is the most important subject. In urban environment, a variety of the nature energy utilization such as the solar energy are the most efficient solution to solve this issue. One of these efficient solutions, a photovoltaic system using sunlight has been introduced to the building with an advantage such as cost-effective, safe for using and good for environment friendly in light with energy utilization. The BIPV is one of the most interesting and promisingly possibilities of an active use of solar energy at the building. Therefore the goal of this study is to get securing the application information of BIPV as finished envelope. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current performance measurement methods of BIPV module and to measure the performance of BIPV module by mock-up tests.

  • This paper analyzes the noise sources of an LED lighting module with TRIAC dimming control and proposes an improved EMI filter design for the reduction of conducted noise emission. TRIAC dimming invokes problems of input oscillation and capacitor overvoltage at the lighting module. The proposed double LC filter reduces high noise level from the circuit. The experimental and simulation results show that this approach can make significant contributions to the reduction of conducted noise emission from an LED lighting module with TRIAC dimming control.

  • This study is to evaluate the cooling performance of the Bonding type and Injection type of heat sink using three different kinds of industrial Peltier module by digital $LabView^{TM}$ measurement. Injection type of heat sink could be more efficient for the heat transfer than Bonding type, even with 30% more radiating surface area. In addition, the experimental results revealed that the sufficient power supplied was able to show the better cooling performance of Peltier module.

  • In this paper, direction normalization and CNN deep learning are used to develop a more reliable license plate recognition system. The existing license plate recognition system consists of three main modules: license plate detection module, character segmentation module, and character recognition module. The proposed system minimizes recognition error by adding a direction normalization module when a detected license plate is inclined. Experimental results show the superiority of the proposed method in comparison to the previous system.

  • As the supply of photovoltaic (PV) increases worldwide, the cumulative installations in 2018 were 7.9 and 560 GW in Korea and the world, respectively. Typically, when the ground on commercial PV modules is installed, the area is limited; hence, new designs of PV modules are required to install additional PVs. Among the new design of PV modules, lightweight PV modules can be utilized in PV systems, such as buildings, farmlands, and floating PV. Concerning the investigation of lightweight PV modules, several studies on materials for replacing low-iron tempered glass, which comprises approximately 65% of the PV module weight, have been conducted. However, materials that are used as substitutes for glass should possess similar lightweight properties and reliability as glass. In this study, experimental tests were performed to evaluate the applicability of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) film with excellent resistance to water and aging as a front material of PV modules. The transmittance and ultraviolet properties of the ETFE film were determined and compared with those of glass. A 1-cell module and laboratory-scale 24-cell module were manufactured using the ETFE film and glass, and the electrical output was measured and analyzed. Furthermore, damp heat and thermal cycle tests were conducted to evaluate the reliability of the ETFE film module. Based on the experimental results, the electrical output and reliability of the ETFE film module were similar to those of the glass module, and the ETFE film could be used as the front material of PV modules.
