Development of SW convergence Education program for the patriotism applying Novel Engineering (Novel Engineering을 적용한 SW융합형 호국보훈 수업 방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to describe the SW Convergence education class applying the Novel Engineering teaching method during the creative experiential activity time. We developed a SW convergence education program for a patriotism class applying Novel Engineering, a new educational method instead of writing and drawing. Through this lesson program, students can improve their problem-solving ability based on their computational thinking and enhance their love spirit about country. Students read a book that tells the story of patriot, writes the historical scene presented in the book through scenarios through Re-enactment, and implements the simulation situation using Lego WeDo 2.0. The results of this study based on the analysis of the data on the questionnaire showed that there is a significant students' change through the SW convergence education program for patriotism class. In the future, we will expand the scope to more various grades and subjects so that we can generalize the effectiveness of SW convergence education applying Novel Engineering.

  • 코딩 교육에 대한 중요성이 높아짐에 따라 국가 주도적 교육이 강화되고 있다. 컴퓨터 프로그래밍이 낯선 교육생을 위해 교육 커리큘럼에 블록 코딩을 도입하고 있으나 낮은 흥미도로 인해 여전히 교육 성취도가 낮게 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 프로그래밍에 대한 관심을 유발하고 학습을 보조하는 드론 기반의 체감형 교육 프로그램모델을 제시한다. 제시하는 교육 모델은 사용자가 코딩한 블록 코드를 파이썬 코드로 변환하여 보여주고, 블록 코드로 첨부된 드론의 동작을 제어하도록 코딩할 수 있다. 사용자의 심화학습을 위해 추가적으로 제공하는 웨어러블 장갑 컨트롤러를 통해 드론과 연관하여 동작 제어가 가능하게 하여 흥미 유발과 더불어 학습 효과 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

A Survey on SW Club Activities in Science Core High Schools (과학중점 고등학교에서의 SW동아리 활동 실태 조사)

  • This paper aims at analyzing SW club acitivities on the science core high school using information disclosure. Targeting 103 schools across the nation science core high schools, the factors influencing the SW Club was analyzed. And science core high school education plans, business plans and management reports were analyzed in SW club activities. It was the most influencing on the SW club in Creative-Experiential activities organization of computer courses. So computer curriculum reform is urgently needed. SW extra subject activities and funding was having a positive effect. Tuition reimbursement rates was having a negative effect. But academic achievement did not significantly affect. Therefore as many students as possible should be able to assist the SW extra subject activities. And it is required Programs and budget support that reflect the characteristics of local and school. Also, as science core high schools have STEAM education, science, mathematics and technology home economics teachers etc were leading the SW club activities by fusing the their curriculum and SW education. As these activities are consistent with the purpose of SW education, research should be more active autonomic consisting of various teachers.

  • With the development of artificial intelligence, a lot of platforms have emerged that enable anyone to easily access and learn about artificial intelligence or create artificial intelligence models. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed various artificial intelligence education platforms and developed and proposed a SW education class plan using a framework-based artificial intelligence education platform for activating artificial intelligence based SW education. The artificial intelligence-based SW education framework aims to cultivate artificial intelligence literacy on the basis of computational thinking. In addition, a learner-centered project class was formed to include elements that could be fused with real life contexts or other subjects. Using this, with the theme of creating an artificial intelligence program to help separate garbage collection, a six-hour project-based class was developed and proposed using practical arts, social studies, and creative experiential activities. This project class was organized using a platform that is not difficult, such as AI Oceans and Entry.

  • Evaluation as learning is important for the learner competency test, and the applicable method is studied. Assessment is the role of diagnosing the current learner's status and facilitating learning through appropriate feedback. The system is insufficient to enable process-oriented evaluation in small educational institute. Focusing on becoming familiar with the AI through experience can end up simply learning how to use the tools or just playing with them rather than achieving ultimate goals of AI education. In a previous study, the experience way of AI education with PLAY model was proposed, but the assessment stage is insufficient. In this paper, we propose ELAS (Experiential K-12 AI education Learning Assessment System) for small educational institute. In order to apply the Assessment factor in in this system, the AI-factor is selected by researching the goals of the current SW education and AI education. The proposed system consists of 4 modules as Assessment-factor agent, Self-assessment agent, Question-bank agent and Assessment -analysis agent. Self-assessment learning is a powerful mechanism for improving learning for students. ELAS is extended with the experiential way of AI education model of previous study, and the teacher designs the assessment through the ELAS system. ELAS enables teachers of small institutes to automate analysis and manage data accumulation following their learning purpose. With this, it is possible to adjust the learning difficulty in curriculum design to make better for your purpose.

  • 본 연구는 기존의 소프트웨어 교육 방법이 가지는 문제점을 분석하고, 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 존듀이와 프레네의 경험 중심 교육 방법에 기반을 둔 새로운 소프트웨어 교육 모델을 제안한다. 경험 중심 기반의 새로운 소프트웨어 교육 방법은 학습자들의 자율성을 보장하고, 학습자들 간의 상호작용을 통해 일상생활의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 문제 해결력을 기르는데 중점을 두고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 자유로운 사고방식으로 일상생활의 다양한 문제를 발견할 수 있는 능력과 다양한 경험을 통해 이를 해결할 수 있는 능력을 기르도록 체계화된 소프트웨어 교육 모델을 구성할 것이며 이를 통해 소프트웨어 교육의 발전에 기여하고자 한다.

  • The 2015 revised curriculum aims to cultivate a 'creative fusion talent' capable of creating new knowledge and fusing various knowledge to create new value. Therefore, it is strengthening reading education to raise humanistic imagination and software education to promote scientific creativity. In addition, we have created [Safe Living] textbooks based on experiential activities as a way to strengthen safety education that is becoming a social issue. And we use it to conduct safety education at creative activity time. Novel Engineering believes that it can develop thinking skills in the process of reading books and finding and solving problems in life in them. Therefore, in this study, we will develop software education programs for safety education that are applied with Novel Engineering and apply them to actual classes to verify the educational effectiveness of students' creative problem solving skills and safety education.

  • While applying new digital technologies, interest in software and artificial intelligence is quite high. In particular, many changes are being made for the development of software and artificial intelligence in the field of education. From 2025, software and artificial intelligence-related curricula will be applied to public education in elementary, middle and high schools. The Ministry of Education is also conducting various camps to experience software and artificial intelligence in various ways in elementary, middle and high schools before they are applied to public education. Several platforms for experience camps related to software and artificial intelligence are also being used. In this study, we intend to increase the educational efficiency of the learning method for software and artificial intelligence to be developed in the future by designing a model for software and artificial intelligence experiential learning platforms.
