Design of Extended Real-time Data Pipeline System Architecture (확장형 실시간 데이터 파이프라인 시스템 아키텍처 설계)

  • Big data systems are widely used to collect large-scale log data, so it is very important for these systems to operate with a high level of performance. However, the current Hadoop-based big data system architecture has a problem in that its performance is low as a result of redundant processing. This paper solves this problem by improving the design of the Hadoop system architecture. The proposed architecture uses the batch-based data collection of the existing architecture in combination with a single processing method. A high level of performance can be achieved by analyzing the collected data directly in memory to avoid redundant processing. The proposed architecture guarantees system expandability, which is an advantage of using the Hadoop architecture. This paper confirms that the proposed architecture is approximately 30% to 35% faster in analyzing and processing data than existing architectures and that it is also extendable.

  • The aim of the research is that disease database of the glycosuria and heart's blood is designed to manage the condition of the glycosuria and heart's blood patients periodically and continuously. Also we integrate patient database of existing OCS, PACS, EMR, ERP etc. and support optimal service timely that the patients want through intelligent integrated interface environment. For this, we will develop customized medical information convergence system. We construct intelligent database for disease of the glycosuria and heart's blood. And we support data integration environment for connection with existing systems - OCS, EMR, PACS etc. Also, in consideration of QoS, reliability, and expandability of customized medical information convergence system, we will design H/W, S/W, and data compatibility method.

  • Ad-Hoc network technology is a mobile internet technology of the future that will be used widely not only in Mobile Network but also in Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) and Ubiquitous Network For this to occur, distributed routing protocol design, loop prevention for link information reduction in overhead for control messages and route restoration algorithm must be improved or complemented. Security techniques that can guarantee safe com-munication between Ad-Hot nodes net also be provided. This study proposes and evaluates a new authentication mechanism for MANET. The mechanism segregates the roles of certification authority to keep with the dynamic mobility of nodes and handle rapid and random topological changes with minimal over-head. That is, this model is characterized by its high expandability that allows the network to perform authentication service without the influence of joining and leaving nodes. The efficiency and security of this concept was evaluated through simulation.

Effect of Waste Ground Tire Rubber on Flame Retardancy and Foaming Properties of the NBR foams (폐타이어 고무분말(GTR)이 니트릴고무(NBR) 발포체의 난연 및 발포 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The flame retardancy and foaming properties of NBR foams containing waste ground tire rubber (GTR) were studied. When the composition ratios of NBR/GTR were ranged in $100/0{\sim}80/20$ (w/w) and rubbers/flame retardants were in the range of $1/1.95{\sim}3.70 wt%$, the considerably optimized foam for flame retardancy was obtained with high limiting oxygen indices (LOI, $29.4{\sim}40.0$), low heat release rate(HRR), closed/semi-closed cell of uniformity, and reasonable expandability ($215{\sim}300 %$). The LOI was increased and the heat release rate was decreased with increasing the amount of GTR content.

  • A program for analyzing the transient behaviors of industrial gas turbines was developed. Each component (compressor, combustor, turbine and ducts)of gas turbine is modeled as a fully module to enhance the expandability of the program. We used object-oriented programing for this purpose. The mass and energy balance equations are solved numerically by Multivariable Newton Raphson method. The characteristic maps for the compressor and turbine were used for predicting the performance of a gas turbine engine. Combustion in the combustor is assumed to be complete combustion. PID control is used to maintain constant rotational speed and turbine exhaust temperature by the control of the fuel flow rate and the changing of the compressor inlet guide vane angle at the same time. It was confirmed that stable control of the gas turbine was possible, even for a rapid load change.

  • This study developed the factors capable of systematic/comprehensive evaluation of the task performance in order to strengthen the performance management of the professional career personnel invitation program (PCPIP). To this end, a performance evaluation framework was developed by analyzing existing project evaluation studies based on boundary theory and Kirkpatrick's four-level evaluation model. Afterwords, through two Delphi surveys, evaluation factors that can measure performance in terms of individual and invitation institutions of PCP were derived and validated. With this procedure, five evaluation factors were finally selected: adaptability, connectivity, clarity, compatibility, and expandability. This study has implications suggesting a performance evaluation factors capable of hybrid quantitative/qualitative evaluation for the performance management of PCPIP operated by National Research Foundation of Korea Research since 1994.

  • The plant factory represents one of the future agricultural systems into which ubiquitous information technology (U-IT) is incorporated, including sensor networking, and helps minimize the influence of external experimental factors that constrain the use of existing greenhouse cultivation techniques. A plant factory's automated cultivation system does not merely provide convenience for crop cultivation, but also expandability as a platform that helps build a knowledge database based on its acquired information and develop education and other application services using the database. For the expansion of plant factory services, this study designed a plant factory interworking service (PFIS) which allows plant factories to share crop growth-related information efficiently among them and performed a test on the service and its implementation.

A Study on the Family Animation Characters - Focused on the (가족애니메이션 캐릭터 연구 - <심슨 가족>을 중심으로)

  • There has been not the research on the reason of success based on the characteristic of narrative and characters of , I defined the major characteristic of this genre as family animation, and aimed at researching strategic character and narrative. The characteristics of each characters are identified, and compared with other animation, soap opera, and sitcom. The portion that characters participated in the narrative was analyzed, and the relationship between the point and viewers was also researched in the specific episodes. 1) The characters against the ideal ones function to satirize the fixed idea pursued by the mass, and stimulate the viewers' desire. 2) All the characters are protagonist and sometimes antagonist, or advisor. The circulating position expands the target of viewers, and decreases the cultural discount. 3) It produces a couple of layered narrative, then children, teenagers, and adults enjoy the each different depth of the narrative, resulted in the target expansion. Considering on the limit of theme and target in Korean animation, I expect the findings above will enable to produce more valuable and consistent contents. Later, characters in the Korean family animation is to be researched and the expandability and sustainability would be ensured.

Stability Condition of Discrete System with Time-varying Delay and Unstructured Uncertainty (비구조화된 불확실성과 시변 지연을 갖는 이산 시스템의 안정 조건)

  • In this paper, we consider the stability condition for the linear discrete systems with time-varying delay and unstructured uncertainty. The considered system has time invariant system matrices for non-delayed and delayed state variables, but its delay time is time-varying within certain interval and it is subjected to nonlinear unstructured uncertainty which only gives information on uncertainty magnitude. In the many previous literatures, the time-varying delay and unstructured uncertainty can not be dealt in simultaneously but separately. In the paper, new stability conditions are derived for the case to which two factors are subjected together and compared with the existing results considering only one factor. The new stability conditions improving many previous results are proposed as very effective inequality equations without complex numerical algorithms such as LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) or Lyapunov equation. By numerical examples, it is shown that the proposed conditions are able to include the many existing results and have better performances in the aspects of expandability and effectiveness.

The Effect of Community Mapping Application Development and Application on the Safety Consciousness of Elementary and Middle Schools (커뮤니티맵핑 어플리케이션 개발과 활용이 초·중생의 안전의식 고취에 끼치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose an educational program for enhance safety capability of elementary and middle school students through community mapping application. Method: Developed and utilized a community mapping application that can be easily used for research. After participating in 425 elementary and middle school students, This study analyzed the change of safety competency through survey. Results: Through the community mapping activities, it was possible to derive the actual life surrounding risk factors of the earthy life, and it was found through the questionnaire before and after the activity that the safety competence of the participants improved. Conclusion: Investigation of similar related cases of Public Participant Safety Mapping Tool and analysis of their functionalities are conducted, and user demanded functionalities with improved usability accessability expandability are derived. Also, the system applied the test to elementary and middle school students and the survey showed that the safety capacity was improved according to Safety Mapping activities. This is proposed as a safety education program.
