The structural relationship among task value, self-efficacy, goal structure, and academic emotions for promoting self-regulated learning in e-learning course (이러닝 수업에서 대학생의 자기조절학습에 영향을 미치는 과제가치, 자기효능감, 수업 성취목표구조, 학업정서 간의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationship among task value, self-efficacy, classroom goal structure, and academic emotions(enjoyment, fear, boredom) for promoting self-regulated learning in e-learning course. The results showed that task value, self-efficacy, class goal structure influenced academic emotions and self-regulated learning, and enjoyment had mediation effects among exogenous variables and self-regulated learning. The findings offer implications of facilitating self-regulated learning while considering academic emotions.

A Basic Study on Connected Ship Navigation System

  • Maritime autonomous surface ships (MASS) has been developed over the years. But, there are many unresolved problems. To overcome these problems, this study proposes connected ship navigation system. The system comprises a slave ship and a master ship that leads the slave ship. To implement this system, communication network, route planning algorithms, and controllers are designed. The communication network is built using the transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) socket communication method to exchange data between ships. The route planning algorithms calculate the course and distance of the slave ship using the middle latitude sailing method. Nomoto model is used as the mathematical model of the slave ship maneuvering motion. Then, the autoregressive with exogenous variables (ARX) model is used to estimate the parameters of Nomoto model. Based on the above model, the automatic steering controller is designed using a proportional-derivative (PD) control. Also, the speed controller is designed for the slave ship to maintain constant distance from the master ship. Sea experiments are conducted to verify the proposed system with two remodeled boats.

The Structural Equation Model of Burnout of the Critical Care Nurses Based on the Job Demand-Resource Model (직무요구-자원 모델에 기반을 둔 중환자실 간호사의 소진 구조모형)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct and test a structural equation model of burnout of the critical care nurses based on the job demand-resource model. Methods: A structured questionnaire was completed by 414 critical care nurses. The relationships between concepts of job stress, empathic ability, resilience, job satisfaction, compassion fatigue and burnout were analyzed. Using SPSS WIN 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs, the direct and indirect effects of factors affecting burnout among critical care nurses were calculated and modelled. Results: The modified model was yielded as follows: Chi-square= 216.59, GFI= .93, AGFI= .89, NFI= .90, CFI= .93, RMSEA= .07, SRMR= .06 and showed good fit indices. Job satisfaction and compassion fatigue had mediation effects between other three exogenous variables and burnout. Conclusion: The major findings of this study indicate that it is important to develop a support program for critical care nurse in order to improve their job satisfaction and ameliorate their compassion fatigue.

  • This study deals with the influencing factors for satisfaction of mobile coupon service. Thus researcher examined a structural equation modeling methodology of the path within word of mouth, satisfaction, and other exogenous variables (economic value, trust, joyfulness, innovativeness). As a result of this study, mobile coupon users understand the characteristics of basic coupon concept, and First, it was confirmed that the economic value, innovativeness affected user's trust for coupon service and joyfulness for using coupon. Second, it was confirmed that trust and joyfulness affected user's satisfaction and word of mouth activities. Moreover, this paper's contribution point is the proposes of the one of the post adoption model with the quantitative study of the industrial development stages of current various mobile coupon application.

The Effect of Quantity Flexibility Contract on the Military Medicine Inventory Using Dynamic Simulation (수량유연성계약이 육군 의약품 재고에 미치는 영향에 관한 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • This study simulated the effect of the quantity flexibility contract(QFC) on the Korean military inventory system. The results shows that the QFC make the inventory system more efficient. For validity of this study, we assume the basic four demand patterns (increase, decrease, high variation and long seasonality) which are the exogenous variables of these simulation systems. We measured the difference of the traditional military inventory system's and new QFC system's performances. Under the all demand patterns, QFC models have little inventory than the traditional systems. We suggest, therefore, the military change the supply contract into QFC for decrease inventory and expect the results of this study applied to the company level.

The Effect of Departmental Corporation Perceived by Cooks of Deluxe Hotels to Their Performance of Food-items Management, Satisfaction with Purchase Process and Job Satisfaction (특급호텔 조리부서와 구매부서의 부서간 협조가 조리사의 식자재 관리 수행도와 구매시스템 만족도 및 직무 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The current study addresses the issue of whether the extent of cooperation between purchase and production departments relied on the food-items management, purchase process and cook's own job satisfaction. A self-administered questionnaire comprised of 61 statements was presented to the anonymous cooks to assess their perception of inter-departmental cooperation. Also, we asked them to evaluate the performance of food-items management, satisfaction with purchase process, i.e. purchase process, food-items, food suppliers, and job satisfaction. Out of 367 responses, 342 (93.2%) were available for analysis. The demographic characteristics of the respondents are presented and six hypotheses were tested using SPSS 11.0 and AMOS 5.0. The structural equation analysis revealed that the departmental cooperation between purchase and production departments, the exogenous variable, was not directly related with the respondents' job satisfaction. However, it was indirectly related with the job satisfaction through the two endogenous variables: -satisfaction with purchase process and performance of food-items management.

  • Net neutrality, which has not been a problem, has recently become a problem for ISPs (Internet Service Providers), and their complaints have been paid by domestic platform companies, but overseas global IT companies such as Google and YouTube, generate huge revenues from domestic markets. In this situation, domestic IT companies claim that it is natural to impose more expensive charges or restrict speed on users who generate huge traffic. On the other side, however, the telecommunication network has become an essential public good that is essential to our everyday life, and because it has been given a monopoly position by a private company to efficiently respond to the explosive demand for telecommunication services, It is necessary to provide equal and universal service and fulfill public duty. In this paper, we deal with the network neutrality problem, focusing on the price elasticity between the CP (Contents Provider) and the ISP, rather than the user who is one side of the two-sided market for the already saturated satellites communication market. We present a game model that determines the optimal price for each platform by Nash equilibrium and analyze how the net neutrality affects CP according to the change of exogenous variables through the proposed game model.

The Effects of Site Quality, Personal Characteristic, and Relationship Benefit on the Continuance Intention to Use Social Network Services through Relationship Quality (사이트 품질, 개인적 특성 및 관계 혜택이 관계 품질을 매개로 소셜네트워크서비스 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, the popularity of Social Network Service (SNS) along with the spread of smart phone, personal computer and tablet PC helps personal network to construct new forms of services in cyberspace. As such, SNS plays a significant role in constructing diverse online networks and there is a growing interest on SNS at societal level. In this vein, the purpose of the research was to find the factors affecting the continuance intention to use social network services. The major findings are summarized as follows. First, "System Quality", "Contents Quality", "Personal Innovativeness", "Self-Efficiency", "Honor Benefit" has significant effects on "Relationship Quality". Yet, "Economic Benefit" is not statistically significant on "Relationship Quality". Second, "Relationship Quality" has a significant effect on "Continuous Usage Intention". Last, our research discovered the relationship between exogenous variables which would serve as valuable inputs in the development of strategic guideline and plan for SNS companies and related services.

Influence on the Use Intention of User's Traits in China Market

  • Purpose - Because of the development of smartphone and communication technology, Smart TV programs are filled with various contents and applications. This study included additional individual variables like innovativeness and self-efficacy, and characteristics of smart TV are both user-interface and function as exogenous factors based on TAM model. So, this study focuses on identifying the influencing factors of continuous use intention of smart TV traits and user ones and analyzing how they make influences on them in China market. Research design, data, and methodology - Totally 182 samples were adopted as appropriate ones for analysis in this study. They were collected from 20 February 2016 to 10 March 2016. Results - The results are as follows. First, function has positive influence on perceived usefulness. Second, innovation and user-interface make affirmative influences on perceived easiness. Third, perceived easiness has affirmative influence on perceived usefulness. Fourth, the perceived easiness and perceived usefulness make positive ones on continuous use intention. Fifth, perceived ease of use affects significantly on perceived usefulness. Conclusions - According to the findings, they (smart TV traits and user traits), influencing on continuous use intention, are possible to give significant implications on persistent development in China smart TV market.

  • The importance of Entrepreneurship has been widely acknowledged by researchers and practitioners worldwide, however, the idea of Social Entrepreneurship is still considered to be an emerging area. Entrepreneurship is vital not only because of its economic impacts but also because it helps to address issues of poverty and welfare, where it can act as a catalyst for change. The importance of social entrepreneurship is that it serves to turn a profit and find success while helping others throughout the world. They know the power of social enterprise and are eager to serve the societal and economic benefits. This study aims to identify the level of orientation of youth towards social entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The study identifies the role of various factors that affect Social Entrepreneurial Orientation and is conducted following a quantitative research strategy and survey research design where data is collected from 302 individuals. Structural Equation Modelling was used to analyze the data and to test the hypotheses. The main finding of this research is that there is an increasing trend in the orientation towards social entrepreneurship. The exogenous variables namely Perceived Educational Support, Perceived Structural Support, and Perceived Relational Support were found to have positive and significant effects on the endogenous construct of Social Entrepreneurial Orientation.
